Never having been here before, I called to ask some questions prior to placing my "pick up" order. I'm normally a very healthy eater, but last night I was craving a Chicken Philly sandwich. I searched Yelp and found the Philly sandwich I craved on their menu. The young man who answered the telephone told me they had no chicken because "the chicken truck" did not come last week. He continued by saying management made a mistake when they placed their food order. This turned me right off! For a second there, I thought he was trying to be funny. Unfortunately he was dead serious! He did turn it around by saying their cheesesteak sandwiches were awesome so against my better judgment I placed an order. The sandwich was tasty, but the steak was tough, chewy, and "fatty". Not very appetizing. I took a couple of bites and threw it away. Customer service has not gotten them any stars, but their sandwiches are consistently good, The meats and cheeses are sliced freshly, The bread is soft and tender. the restaurant is kept clean. I was enticed by the 50% off coupon to give Jersey Mike's a shot. The online order process worked as it should have: Take my money, give me my stuff, and kick me out the door in under a few minutes. I was particularly happy with this because the lunch line was super long and they got me out of there in no time. The sandwich was a hearty size for me and everything on it tasted fresh. It's funny how simple things can also be the most satisfying. The food here is definitely no frills or thrills, but damn they make boring taste good. Ugh! I'm an avid customer of JMS. We just moved back to Atlanta and I was happy this location was near our home. But wow! This place can't even compare to my last one I use to frequent. There was a line of 6 people waiting for their orders ahead of us which is never a good sign. The nice middle- aged man behind the counter took our order quickly after he finished cleaning the table. But the rest of the staff were just standing around chatting with each other. Then I went to get some ice from the ice maker and there was this NASTY moldy looking snotty build-up seeping off the side of ice dispenser. Turned my stomach thinking what bacteria is growing on it. So I skipped the ice. Went to get some unsweet tea and they were completely out of it. We then went to throw our trash away and it was overflowing. We could barely get our trash in there. Clearly this place is lacking any good management. We saw one guy in there FUMING pissed about his sandwich taking a good 20 minutes to get. He was waiting before everyone in there. Not the cleanest place and definitely not the friendliest staff. First visit to this location. I came in for a late lunch, so I suppose the other staff was on break because only one guy was working at the time. I'm usually greeted with a warm welcome the second I walk in the door of every other JM restaurant but not this one. Ok fine, I'm hungry. I started to order my usual Italian sub but changed my mind to try the chicken parm sub. The guy taking my order asked "are you sure?" as if I wasn't making a decent choice. I proceeded with the order and wish I hadn't. On top of being ridiculously overpriced, it took 20 minutes for my order to come out and the place was quite empty for 1:30pm. The drink station was sticky, floors were not swept, I blindly stepped on a block of ice (with heels) and slid but I kept myself from falling. Tables were all dirty with crumbs and bits of trash. I decided to take my order to go, and the sandwich was disgusting. Sauce was severely salty and the chicken breast was breaded but not crispy or flavorful at all..best part of the sandwich was the bread and the cheese. Complete waste of time and money. These guys make a solid cheesesteak sandwich. Pros: 1) Variety of tasty cheesesteaks. I like the Chipotle Cheesesteak and the Big Kahuna Cheestesteak. Purchased one sandwich for $15 then noticed 2 days later on my credit card statement Jersey Mikes charged me in addition for a $22 purchase that i did not make (completely different sandwich order with a tip added) Went back to store and the cheap owner Peter insisted I did not make my sandwich purchase at that location and insisted I went to another Jersey Mikes location. Had to dispute the bogus charge and was refunded by my bank. Contacted corporate and this is what they said " As we discussed, we believe it may have been a technical glitch and unfortunately, you were the bearer of the inconvenience. " WOW thanks for the "free sandwich" Jersey Mikes. If you do decide to go to this location you might want to pay in cash...and hopefully you wont get a stoner making your sandwich bc they seem to screw it up almost every time. read more

I used to love this place. It's the only Jersey Mike's I've been to and they were walking distance from my house. The next one was 5 miles away. Then out of nowhere they had a couple of guys there making sandwiches with NO gloves and/or touching, register, money with gloves then using the same gloves to make your sandwich--NASTY (I of course trashed these sandwiches without a bite)! This occurred several times over a couple of months. Another time I gave my order to a different guy. I asked for light oil and vinegar and was told by the person who volunteered that he was the manager "We have to put a set amount with no exceptions" LOL what...?! I never said anything to them at the store, but after several of the above experiences I called their main office customer service line in New Jersey and told them about this. They acted not concerned or empathetic but annoyed with me, gave me a hollow, irritated apology and practically hang up in my face. This reaction left me confused then I thought: Well isn't Jersey Sort of famous for having rude, uncouth people who are proud to be that way? Hostile, arrogance towards their paying customers contributed to the epic loss of a once lucrative world-renowned industry for their state (Atlantic City/gambling). So that reminded me---they don't get it. Needless to say, I have not gone to any of their stores again since. Might try a different location some day, not sure. Subway is not as delicious and fresh sliced and I haven't gone there in years since I liked how JM's tasted better. That said I do remember that Subway's employees were always gloved/clean, polite and made your sandwich any darn way you wanted it made with "no exceptions" to that! Isn't this the least you should expect from a sandwich shop you're giving your business to? Never thought I'd say this but Subway could definately school Jersey Mike's-- at least on those 3 BASICS of preparing a simple sandwich for profit. read more

Our office placed an order in the morning for a noon delivery. After a few phone calls and a few "it's on its way" responses we finally got our lunch 1.5 hours later. Consensus, it wasn't even worth the wait. The chicken caesar salad uses shredded iceberg lettuce so it looks like coleslaw. The servings are small, the sandwiches are not filling and nothing to write home about. They forgot our juice and chips. Not only did we wait but we didn't get enough food. I found Jersey Mike's on Old Milton Parkway a couple of years ago and it became my go-to lunch place almost immediately. Sandwiches are great, ingredients always top quality and the staff is unfailingly friendly and efficient. For anyone that complains about having to wait in line a few minutes, I would suggest they would be happier going somewhere where the food isn't as good.
