Just ate here for the first time, the employees were fast but also still friendly and greeted everyone who came in. It got pretty busy but they were operating smoothly and got through orders quickly. It's clean and brightly lit, the food was fresh and reasonably priced as far as sandwich shops go (especially ones where they actually charcuterie the meat and cheese right in front of you). Solid. Ordered the original italian. Was pretty good. Staff was friendly and overall process was smooth. I had a bad experience a couple years back at a Jersey Mike's, and will say this place completely turned around my perspective on the chain. Quality of sandwich was good, and the thinly sliced Italian deli meat was moist and good quality. Veggies tasted fresh as well. 4 stars because for two reasons. First i wasn't paying attention and didn't realize they had sliced my sandwich, so when I unwrapped some of it to eat, it fell out making a huge mess all over my clothes and table. Feels half my fault for sure, but considering the size of the sandwich, and no question if I wanted my sandwich sliced, individually wrapped, etc, since sandwich didn't come with an instruction manual, I consider it a reasonable point of view. Even after making a huge mess, I would have expected someone to come over and help clean, or inquire, but no staff came by, and i was eating with a huge mess of lettuce around me. Not their fault, but I would expect some response for 5 stars. Second, Im still on the fence of this Mike's way. When ordering, the lady was asking me "do I want it Mikes wa--", which i was very confused and had to ask to understand what she was even saying. And lo and behold there is a low hanging sign saying what it is. Anyways, so I do it Mike's way, and while much better than the last time I came, it still made my sandwich a bit more wet and drippy than I would have liked. I placed an online order at Jersey Mike's, expecting a quick and easy pickup. When I arrived, I was told they had run out of white bread--but no one bothered to call and let me know beforehand. Instead of giving me a heads-up so I could adjust my order, they just waited until I got there, which was incredibly frustrating. A little communication would have gone a long way. The two young girls inside just laughed as they gave the news and when asked why they didn't call before we arrived, they said "yeah, I guess we could have done that." I want SO badly to love this place, but it's just too difficult to get food quickly in a time when other sandwich places are "freaky fast" and still allow you to "eat fresh." I've tried this location 5 times now over the past couple of months but the issues are the same -- priority is absolutely given to online orders received, NOT to people standing in line, and the waits are ridiculous (30 minutes after the pickup time given) even if you order online. There's also no communication or system at all to get food passed out. People are just standing around unhappy as they wait for orders. My last trip here there were 12 bags on the counter, nobody trying to hand them out. One guy finally got fed up and asked where his food was and poof! It's sitting on the counter -- along with three other people standing around waiting. There were 5 couples in line, but after 10 minutes of waiting I finally left and went to the Thai place next door. I tried again yesterday and the staff was great. I was in and out as it should be, this during lunch. Sandwich was delicious. The guy on the register was super friendly and great. But seriously -- either get a second meat slicer to handle all the online orders or alternate in your line more frequently. Foot traffic may not be your money maker but it certainly is part of your reputation maker --or breaker. You get three stars but that's being very generous. Will NEVER give another dime to Jersey Mike's. Been to this location a couple of times, never had a problem. My girlfriend went today and seriously had the WORST experience of her life. Walked in the shop, and immediately not greeted or acknowledged by the 2 guys working there. After waiting long enough she asks if she can order to which the guy casually says "Yeah." She orders our 2 sandwiches and asks for no onions on one of them. Pretty simple. 4 more people come in after my girlfriend, order AFTER her and get their food BEFORE her. Finally after waiting about 30 MINUTES for 2 sandwiches, they give her the food. She suspects the guy taking the order was not paying attention to her and didn't listen to her no onion request, so she checks the food before leaving. Big surprise - the sandwich has onions on it. She asks for them to remake the sandwich again without onions. Again, pretty simple. They make it again and it to her and say, "You're welcome." Seriously? No "I'm so sorry." No "We apologize for the long wait and not listening to you." But "You're welcome" for us not doing a grade level task. IT GETS WORSE FROM THERE! They begin to argue which includes the workers asking if she is allergic to onions. THAT DOES NOT MATTER AT ALL! NOT AT ALL! NOR IS IT ANY OF YOUR BUSINESS! And then after that, the original worker who took the order and did not pay attention to the simplest request of no onions calls her a "STUPID A** B****"! No apologies. No help. No graciousness. Ordered two sandwiches through the app for pickup at the store. On my sandwich (a #56 Big Kahuna Cheese Steak), I expressly unclicked jalapenos on the customization tab. The receipt lists that the sandwich was supposed to have meat, cheese, onions, mushrooms and green peppers, but does not list jalapenos. So my wife gets the sandwiches home, and mine had jalapenos along with the other veggies. And you can't just pull them out because you can still taste the juice from them in the sandwich. When I called to let them know they kind of ruined my dinner, the employee responded, "we got really busy and had a lot of sandwiches on the grill." Well guess what? Subs are delicious, staff friendly and the owner Joe is interested in getting things right and keeping the quality high. Out favorite sandwiches are the #8, #42 and #43. Ordered online last week. Showed up 20 minutes later as instructed. Not one person acknowledged me. Nobody was working hard, yet nobody was helping the guy standing in line trying to order either. This is the second time I've tried this place with similar results, but it's clear they don't care at all about walk-ins or small online orders. They were too busy dealing with call-ins to help anyone. It's also clear they don't care about the impression of their customers. When I finally asked about my order the guy acted all frazzled and said he couldn't even find it. I showed them my online receipt and was met with attitude and stories of being too busy right now with other orders. 40 minutes. Dude -- if you're so busy dealing with call-ins and catering then have the guy standing around bored at the grill, or the lady doing nothing more than walking around looking in bags help you out. First off I'm a huge Jersey Mike's fan and have been for years. I average probably 3 sandwiches per week (I know way to much). I have been to many locations and this one by far is the worst managed I have seen. There is no team work and they are the slowest group I have seen. They always seem to have a worker that has just started slowing the process down even more. I use to love using the app to order subs but stopped with this location because they get it wrong probably 25% of the time. They also seem to assign the app orders a low priority and it is rarely made in the time limit the app indicates. Also annoying there are 2 workers that never have their face mask on correctly always having their nose not covered. One seems to be the manager so it's coming from the top. read more
