Good smash burger, not too greasy, since the patties are smashed they are a Bit wider than the buns. The burger is good and filling. Good quick service, good prices, clean spacious area to sit inside. I visited the rice village location and the fries were good too. I came in for a midnight meal last night ordering a Single Hamburger with just tomatoes n pickles, a Beef Hotdog and Large Diet Coke. The two components of the meal were very fresh, comforting and delicious. The brioche buns, meats, etc were all great. I especially liked the beef hotdog a lot with its quality beef flavor, crunch in bite and charbroiled zing to it. It was kind of like the one from Five Guys, but even better I think. I am not usually into smash type burgers much at all, bc most are kind of dry and have no damn taste unless covered up with a lot. However some chains do it right, such as Shake Shack, Smashburger and some JLB locations. I will definitely come back for both items sometimes after a nighttime gym workout depending on my craving. I was craving a burger so I headed to Shake Shack. The service was nice, there were a lot of people at the kiosks so an employee helped me at the cashier. I liked the shake and the fries a lot!! While the burger was delicious and the patty was flavorful, I was shocked at how small it was. Food is good. What needs work is the front counter staff. We have come here often and every single time, the front counter people are extremely rude to us when we have to ask for something that they forgot. They can't be bothered with helping in even a semi nice way. Today they forgot our chicken bites and garlic aioli sauce for our truffle fries and they were just very rude when we came up to ask for our missing paid for items. Also, the women's bathroom doors do not lock so both me and the girl next to me got walked in on while utilizing the toilets. Very bad. This needs to be rectified ASAP. Shake shack had a tax day deal where you can get a free black truffle item (burger, shroom burger, or Parmesan fries) with a purchase of at least $10.40. I got the black truffle shroom burger with fries and also decided to try their Thai iced tea shake. The shroom burger didn't have too much black truffle oil but I could taste it when I bit into it. It's a classic pair with the crisp fried portobello mushroom filled with muenster and cheddar cheese, providing an earthy yet savory taste. The fries were perfectly crisp and were pillowy on the inside. The Thai tea shake included black sugar syrup and did taste like Thai tea but in a more weaker form. I love the vibe, especially, of this location because it feels like it's in the center of everything, and they have a really nice outdoor seating area with benches. It's pretty fun to lounge and play games (when it's not windy). I also always love asking for the earth mayo with my burgers, and I like that you can just order on the screens and get the food within 5 ish minutes. I was less than impressed with this location. I stopped by on a lunch break since I'd received an offer on my phone and I hadn't been to Shake Shack in months. I'd ordered online and showed up during the pick up window. They're very clear that if you're late they'll toss your food, which is a detriment to ordering online in my opinion. The last thing I need is negative messaging while in traffic on my way to pick something up. The decor is up to Shake Shack's common standards. Fancy signage, ultamodern furniture. It looks like one of those memes for places that are overpriced, but with a specific color scheme The Shackburger itself was underwhelming. I've been to three other Shake Shack locations and this was easily the smallest burger I'd received out of all of them. The ingredients were fresh, but based on the size it felt like I'd have gotten better value at a Wendy's. I'd ordered online and there was no option to modify the drink, so I got the typical 80% ice, 20% tea nonsense they pour. $4 for four ounces of tea is ridiculous. Even worse, they keep the refill station behind the counter, so you have to stand at the counter and wait for the workers to stop chatting and decide to help you. Amid all the chain businesses in Rice Village, it only seems fitting to have a Shake Shack as part of its lineup. It perfect suits the local crowd and is open later than most of the nearby eateries. For Shake Shack fans, this location is convenient by proximity, but is a lot like the rest of the Shake Shacks in the city. It feels admittedly weird to go from seeing the original location in Madison Square Park nearly daily back in NYC to now seeing this place all the time whenever I'm driving along Kirby. Even if the lot looks empty (#1), there's probably going to be a solid crowd. Customer service is a mixed bag but they're not the best. I've had botched orders and folks who never greet but I've come to expect this here. Often times there is such a bottleneck in the front, that ordering through the Shake Shack app seems to make the most sense. They're not great with the curbside delivery, so self-pickup via their shelf is sometimes the best option. As for the food, I'm always going to be a lover of the curly fries and shackburger / smoke shack, even if it's become a little absurd with the pricing. I'm not sure what happened but there have been a lot of changes since I last went to a Shake Shack. Number 1, you don't order at the counter, you order from a kiosk machine and then you watch the workers tackle your order like an assembly line. You would think that given the ordering system that there would be less chance for error but that was not true. I ordered my veggie burger and fries for take out yet they served mine on a paper tray. When they checked my receipt to confirm that it was for take out all they did was put the paper tray in a large bag instead repacking the food. This type of packing meant that my burger was exposed to the air and cooled down quite a bit. As for the taste of the burger, it was salty but that is not surprising since most veggie burgers contain much more salt than its meat analogues. However, I'd just rather go to Hopdoddy's on the other side of the Rice Village. For two dollars more, you get a tastier and larger veggie burger . read more

I am surprised that this location doesn't have a lower rating. My family's experience left a lot to be desired. They forgot one of the sides and brought us the wrong drinks. Breaking up with shake shack was traumatic for me. And this is why I love yelp. We resolved the issue and the customer service was superior. Customer service was excellent upon arrival. Everyone was very helpful and polite. They have kiosk for you to place your order. I can see that being a problem during busier hours. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. The food is made fresh so it may take some time. They have metered parking unless you are lucky enough to find street parking. We ordered 2 shake shack burgers, creamsicle float and curly fries. Our total was $28 dollars which is more on the pricey side. I don't eat fast food so it was worth the splurge for me. Shake shack burgers taste the same wherever you go, but the quality of the burger assembly was a bit of a disappointment when I went. The burgers were a bit thinner than I remembered, but they still tasted delicious. All three terminals were operational when I went, no fuss there. I've seen some reviewers ticking off a star from paid parking at this location, but if you park in the parking garage not too far from shake shack you'll receive free parking for X time. This review is solely based on the door dash order. Restaurants must seal bags for delivery app pickups. I shouldn't have to wonder/worry about what was done to my order. The box of fries on top of the bag were slightly opened, both drinks straw holes were opened. I didn't want to give any of it to my kids. Odds are its probably fine but I shouldn't have to worry. Its very easy to seal a bag with stickers or staples. Please do better. read more

Vibe- This is the shake shack in Rice Village and it's a nice location. There's plenty of outdoor seating and a good amount of seating inside. They have burgers, shakes (dairy free options), and wine. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got the veggie shack (good but not amazing) without cheese and if I would've got the gluten free bun it would've been 100% vegan :) and an order of regular fries. Parking- I could've walked to one of the garages around the area and got some free parking but who wants to do that when there's a lot right by the restaurant. There are signs for you to pay to park in the lot so I probably won't dine in this location often for that reason. read more

Received my burger with the tiniest piece of lettuce. It wasn't even a full leaf. My best guess it was 1/4 of a leaf of lettuce. When I asked the manager about it, she stated that was the correct size lettuce portion although it should have been placed closer to the edge of the burger so to appear more visible. WTH!!??? She did offer to give me a few additional pieces at no extra cost. Wish I had taken a picture of the sad lettuce in my burger. Terrible presentation if that's how the burgers are being built these days. Very cheap of Shack Shake. They used to pride themselves on using the best local and organic ingredients which always made them one of our favorite burgers. Very very disappointed in their quality now. The quality of this location has gone seriously downhill lately. I stopped by to grab a quick bite before heading to the med center and the burgers my husband and i ordered were quite literally raw inside. I'm not one to shy away from a medium burger but at a fast food place i was totally skeeved out by the pink patty and asked them to remake the burgers. Low and behold they came out raw again. We didn't even bother complaining again and just left. The nuggets were also super greasy and the breading was mushy. Chick-fil-a nuggets are 100x better. Very disappointed and upset. Ordered a couple of burgers, fries, and drinks online. Waited over 30 minutes, understandable because it was a larger order, but they got many things wrong. For three of the burgers, they gave us plain cheeseburgers instead of what we ordered. One should've had mustard and pickles, one should've been a double with lettuce and other veggies, and another should've had lettuce and pickles. Also, I clicked the "well done" option just to be sure they'd cook it right, and guess what? While I was eating my burger, it was pink! Not a huge deal because I know many burgers are pink, but I put that option for a reason lol. For it taking so long, I was hoping they'd actually make sure they got everything right. I mean, it's an online order, everything is there right on the screen for them! No misunderstandings or trouble hearing. They also put a lot of chili peppers on one of the orders, like a ridiculous amount that was questionable. After having several friends say some rendition of "WHAT!? YOU HAVE NEVER HAD SHAKE SHACK!?!?" I figured it is about time, so my girlfriend and I decided to grab it on our way home tonight. We ordered through the mobile app and I went in to pick it up. It wasn't overly busy but the inside looked pretty futuristic but still inviting. There was one person in front of me at the register but after the waitress finished ringing them up she made eye contact with me and walked away. I stood there alone in front of the register smiling as several staff members walked past the register, made eye contact and smiled back, and then continued walking. Some joked around with each other and one pulled out her phone and made a call. Finally, after ten minutes of staring at my order just out of reach behind the counter, I said "Excuse me! I'm here to pick up", and a waitress came over and helped me. Some other people mentioned the service here is bad but to be honest this was pretty annoying. The food itself was just okay. We got a shack burger, an avocado bacon burger with fries, and a cookies and cream milkshake. The burgers were not the best. To give you an idea, I would say they are better than McDonald's but not better than Whataburger. The fries were pretty good, I feel like you don't see crinkle-cut fries at most restaurants and it was nice to change it up. The cookies and cream shake was not very good. I wasn't a fan of the taste of it as well as how big the actual Oreo chunks were as they would sometimes be so big they clogged the straw, but some people may like this as I get it is a personal preference. I even ordered the Strawberry Peach Tea which was delicious. The thing that bugs me is the sauces. Their Shack sauce is not that great. We were given a number and went to sit at a table. I went to get a cup of water on the side along with condiments which were available in small to-go bags or a squirt bottle. This was my first time having a veggie burger but it was absolutely delicious! I loved it and I would definitely order it again. My boyfriend enjoyed his burger too but was not full so he went back to order the lockhart burger. The burgers are average size, not really big so they're easy to finish for a single person. I was semi-full and didn't want to eat too much so I didn't order a 2nd one but I would have if I was really hungry. The space is good for group of friends but I'd say it's not for 10+ people without sitting at separated tables. The staff were very friendly and a lady was continuously coming by to pick up empty trays and trash while also giving out food orders to people who were waiting at tables. There was another lady who was also handling to-go orders for anyone who was waiting or had ordered online.
