The customer service is always good during the lunch hours, and the front staff does great during the day. The kitchen can be hit or miss. The management is really lacking in handling their employees, resorting to yelling and "dressing down" in full view of the dining room over very simple things. Yesterday I was at this location, and a homeless black man came in yelling at the top of his lungs. Arguing with people only he could see, demanding a drink or ice. He was so loud and unstable that his bellowing could be heard across the entire store, causing even the back staff to come forward. Instead of calling the cops, the manager gave him the ice. The friend I was there with said that the same guy had come in and done this multiple times. Luckily, I have a concealed carry permit and normally leave the guns in the truck. The man distressed all the customers, and I was tempted to take action myself or call the cops. This is an unsafe situation for everyone, including the families and small children eating here. This is one of the few chains I will go in to place my order rather than use the app. They're so fast, so efficient and friendly I swear it's faster to go in rather than go through the drive thru or navigate the app (which is a good app, didn't get me wrong. Dinning room was clean and drink station was fully stocked. Male at the counter greeted my family and began to take our order. He had a great smile and sparked up a conversation with my husband that he noticed we had just came from a band performance because he remembered the uniform that was required all students to wear which my son had on. He was friendly, and professional. We were able to get our drinks filled from the drink station and then our order was ready. Chicken strips were fresh and hot. Forgot to order an extra sauce and didn't want to charge my credit card under a dollar so I just told the employee not to worry about the extra sauce. The fries were cooked like normal...nasty better when I ask for extra crispy but I forgot to tell my husband to request extra crispy fries so that's my fault. Our goto spot when heading home late at night when we're a little hungry and just want something to take the edge off and not too heavy. The Cane's chicken sauce is the best and I love their crinkle fries and bread. I love to add a little sugar to their Cole slaw and enjoy it with my meal. We usually get the five piece combo and fight over the last peace. We've learned to just order an extra tender and slice of bread to maintain peace and harmony. Haven't been here in a while. Surprised at how small the pieces of chicken have gotten. Allowed us to get 2 cole slaws instead of the bread and fries. Super busy location but they kept things moving. Food is usually good and being able to swap out the bread and fries for a Cole slaw was great. 3 stars bc the pieces of chicken were so small but the price hadn't gone down. Staff is friendly and interactive. I cannot really say much about the ambience since I have really only experienced the drive-through service. I have been eating at this Cane's location for several years. A couple of times a month. They always get their chicken cooked perfectly. The Cane's sauce is excellent. Today I had a not-so-bright order taker. I brought my own water into the store and asked if he could deduct the large drink from my ticket. He said he could. Though the amount he asked for seemed too high, I paid it. Then I asked for the receipt. He never decreased the price because of not wanting a drink. He couldn't say whether it was cheaper to get it bundled or unbundled, so I gave up and didn't continue the discussion. It is a problem everywhere they have young kids taking orders. If there is any change to the order that might require using some math, these young clerks can't seem to get it. In this case, he should have asked a team leader to help him. Come on by and enjoy: Watered down sweet tea? Check. Not giving us or asking if I want ketchup? Check. Rubbery dry leftover chicken from this morning? Check. Half battered chicken? Check. Small handful of fries when I asked extra with no coleslaw? Check. All the Raising Canes locations are busy, except this one. The owner of this location is disappointing and should be cancelled. Food and staff are always good when you come here. Personally, I would appreciate larger portions (strips are small) for the price or simply a good "value" for the meal.
