I'd like to add 43 more stars. Went in for lunch today with my coworkers and it is the Cubs home opener. As you can imagine, it was busy as shit. I generally don't expect the most attentive service in situations like these. I was in for a surprise. We were helped by Matt and Shakima. Not only was the service super fast (and the food super delicious), but the customer service we received was out of this world. I officially am getting all sandwiches from this location. Until today, I was a frequent visitor of this place. My coworkers and I usually ordered delivery at least once every two weeks. Today, however, changed the game. My coworker found a long black hair in her chicken caesar wrap and it the wrap was made incorrectly. When I contacted the store, the woman said the manager had stepped out to go to the bank. I asked that he call me upon his return. An hour later, without a response, I called again and asked to speak with the manager. A man named Ivan said he would refund the sandwich because "it was made wrong". I said, no, there was a hair in the sandwich. He said he would ask his supervisor what to do. After being on hold, he came back and said all he could do was refund the sandwich. I then asked to speak with the manager. He said the manager, David, is also the owner and is not on site. I asked that David call me directly. Well, 6 hours later, I have not heard anything from the owner/manager. This is a horrible way to handle HAIR IN THE FOOD. I would NEVER recommend this sandwich place to anyone, despite how delicious the sandwiches can be. The fact that the owner did not take OWNERSHIP of this mistake is beyond poor management. read more

I'm sorry but I'm over this place again. I didn't realize that $8 would get me a "chicken" wrap filled with more wet lettuce than actual chicken. I received a free sandwich coupon through the mail and went here for a quick dinner. I decided to get the Jersey Mike's Famous Philly since I haven't had a Philly cheesesteak for a long time. I thought the service was fine. Maybe a little slow, but I thought it was okay since I was getting a free sandwich. The cheesesteak was just okay itself. Somewhat lacking in flavor and messy to eat. Also I forgot that Philly cheesesteaks have cheese whiz, which I'm not a big fan of. If I go back, I will ask if they can use a different cheese. read more

Dave, the manager and sandwich maker was not out right friendly, though he did manage to help us with our first order. Our subs were fresh and good. How many poorly trained employees does it take to make a sandwich? Three apparently. Its a club sub guys, not nuclear physics! Its strange, I've given this place several tries by this point (holding out hope that they would live up to their name and out of respect for their freshly sliced deli stuffs) ... however, each time I go the employees approach my sandwich with a sense of awe and wonder, as if its the first sandwich they have ever made in their lives and they are mystified at how to put it together. Much like a baby giraffe, they then proceed to stumble all over it. Clumsy hand-balled clumps of meat topped with a dizzying array of lettuce. Half the time they forget the bacon and be careful if you order it "Mike's Way" ... That is unless you want your sandwich drenched in oil and vinegar in some bizarre bastardization of a dip. Also, good luck if your sandwich reaches the cutting board after someone who ordered it "Mike's Way" as your sandwich will inevitably meet a soggy fate. This location and it's management seems very incompetent. It NEVER has White Bread... EVERY single time (been here 6+ times, unbelievable) I've ever came to this location to get food, they start by telling me that "they've run out of white bread, and only have wheat". Come on, really? You guys are a SANDWICH place and you don't even have the most standard sandwich bread you can think of? To further worsen the issue, this is a re-occurring problem. Happens almost every time I'm here. I have no clue why the manager here seems to be too incapable to simply have more white bread cooked. I've always enjoyed the Jersey Mike Sub products, but I can't get over how unprofessional and rude the staff is. Good customer service is knowing when they made a mistake and fixing it. I first called to order sub from store and they said to use Uber Eats since they don't take phone orders. That's fine. I placed the order which was very easy to do and my order was not complicated. It was just the Italian (no adjustments). My order showed up, actually very quickly, but opened it up to find the wrong sandwich. I tried calling 3 times before they finally answered. I told them I received wrong sub and it took them 10 minutes just to put someone else on the phone who answered with attitude saying what's the problem. Really? Again, I said I received wrong sub can you send the correct one. No, but I'll send a refund. Ok, but I said I'd like the sub I ordered. He said then reorder it. Again, really? It was literally just dropped off and they didn't even suggest to replace order. I said fine I'll order a new one but expect a refund for the one I received. I never received a refund and when I went to go order online they weren't accepting delivery orders anymore. It was all just super irritating and for a stinkin' sandwich. I wonder how they treated the other person who probably got my sub. They really must hate their job to be so rude to people. read more

Can't comment on the food, couldn't get my order completed over the phone. Tried ordering for a group and Mr Matthew there had no idea what the sandwiches/wraps come with stock off the menu. That's all we wanted. Food as stated on their menu topped accordingly. Matt had no clue what that was and my group couldn't translate sub by sub. Just wanted them as stated online. I looked at my to-go order sitting on the counter for almost 5 minutes before asking the employee at the register if that was my order (it was). I was disappointed to find that they had given me the wrong order once I got home. Despite being the wrong wrap, it was very loose and extremely messy to eat. The non-descript name and outside appearance (this place has changed hands many times) belies the good, fast food of this expanding chain. I went to support my brother who is opening a store in Arizona, so I have to try the product. The menu is different from other sub places: you can get a "regular" (which is almost as much as a 12" Subway sandwich) or a "Giant" (I hesitate to even ask, hopefully people are sharing that monster). There are some nice spicy options like cheesesteak and turkey chipotle, which I got. The bread is the highlight: toasted and crispy on the outside and fluffy and soft inside, the crunch contrasts so well with the fresh, crisp ingredients inside (not a lot of options but they have what I usually get at Subway). The customer service was a little off: they made me push the "tip" button to use my card, but didn't tell me why nor that this did not generate a tip, it was some kind of bug. I had to repeat myself twice for what I wanted since they were distracted. read more

I've always been loyal customer at jersey mikes and have recommended it to anyone I know. However, after my experience at this jersey mikes last night I cannot say that I'd be coming back there. My friend and I came back from a long road trip, wanted jersey mikes and busted our tails to get there before they closed. Due to typical Chicago traffic we hopped out of the car at 9:01pm. My friend walks in and receives blank stares while one employee is sitting at a table eating. She asks if they're still open and after rolling his eyes over to the clock the one eating says "9:01, NOPE." Mind you the door is still unlocked and we are one minute past. You would think a company that prides itself on top notch food and customer service would not have employees with such poor customer service skills representing it. This is very basic common courtesy, and even if they were unable to make a sandwich at that time it could have been handled in a much better way. I'll start out by saying Jersey Mike's in Santa Clarita, CA are bomb diggity, and even the one next to Legoland Discovery Center in Chicago was amazing, but this one was subpar to say the least. I know when they whipped out the bread and cut into it that it was not going to be good. The bread did not have the usual fluff to it. The bread was really dry and seemed old or frozen and reheated back up. I asked the girl for extra mayo on both sandwiches and trusted her to do her job so I went to pay only to check my dry sandwich later and realize mine had no mayo. Even the roast beef on my boyfriend's sandwich was dry and chewy. The lettuce they were using was even slightly brown, but I wanted to give them a chance. We were both extremely disappointed, as we love Jersey Mike's elsewhere and drove to this nearby location. Bummed that we will have to look for other locations to go to. Note to the owner of this franchise: you must up your game because you're giving JM's a bad name, especially for people trying you guys out for the first time. Your employees were somewhat friendly (still not as friendly as the ones in California), however it was difficult for them to follow simple requests. Not cool yo. read more
