I went in last night and ordered a cheesesteak. I got home attempted to eat, first bite the taste was off almost like the grill wasn't cleaned or chicken was cooked before it. Idk, just the taste was off, almost like tainted meat. Returned, explained why I was returning it, in hopes to get a remake. I visited this store to get my lunch and I ordered the chicken bacon ranch wrap with no tomatoes. Once I got ready to eat my lunch unfortunately their were tomatoes. I then called the store and the shift lead on duty had great customer service and offer to remake and for me to come pick it up another day, of course. I then go back for my remake and for the hassle they offered to make two of them. My mother and I were ready to eat our wraps and then there was this, a string of hair! It didn't look like it was just dropped in there. It literally looked like they cooked the hair with the food because it was tangled in the chicken!! Super disgusting! I assumed that the manager made this food because she helped me when I came in and she was the same person that I talk to on the phone. I called the store. She again offered to remake it again.... Asking for a refund she stated that she couldn't do that because of it being a remake and that didn't make any type of since whatsoever! The main reason why I am making this report is because of the attitude I received while waiting for the food for the 2nd time!!! I came to this Jersey Mike's location, which is close to my home, as I went to another location a week ago and tried the Philly Chicken Kahuna and absolutely loved it! Decided to order for myself and my hubby, and save them for a late dinner, as we both had a busy, late day ahead. When we got home after our long day & evening, and opened up the subs to be reheated, was sooooo disappointed as they were not at all what we ordered. This could be the worst Jersey Mike's I've ever been to in my life and I've been to several dozen of them. The staff was embarrassingly bad, the manager on duty look like she wanted to put a knife in her head she was so unhappy and the line almost didn't even move. Some of the most simple things that happen in every Jersey Mike's like yelling 'hot sub' when somebody orders a hot sub or saying 'hey thanks for coming' or welcome to Jersey Mike's', yeah none of those happened. What did happen? Well, we waited in line for about 15 minutes with one customer in front of us. The guy behind us looked like his head was going to burst he was so frustrated. The girl taking our order reminded me of watching Beavis and Butthead. She was a lost soul. This is gotta be the worst staff I've ever seen at a normal upbeat chain like this. In fact Jersey Mike usually does a tremendous job at providing an upbeat and fun atmosphere for their customers. This one failed miserably. On the other hand, this gets a 3-star because even as bad as the service was the food tasted like every other Jersey Mike's once you actually received your sandwich. And we all know the quality here blows away places like Subway and other competitors. Only thing good to say about this place is the meat was sliced fresh in front of us and the bread was okay. The lettuce was so nasty that I had to stop them from putting it on my wife's sub. So she went back to the walk in a d grabbed a huge handful of lettuce with the same glove she used to open the walkin door. Disgusting. They then proceeded to use the rotten lettuce on other customers subs. There's so many flies in here that they have to cover the condiments with paper and the tub of standing water thats a catch for the leaking air conditioner. If there is any advice I can give you is just keep driving and avoid this place. read more

This location (Colonial Heights, VA) was in the same building as DQ. We got our son an ice cream, then my husband and I wanted to order a sandwich. However, when we went to sit down in the dining room there was not a clean table available in the whole restaurant. I had to clean our table myself and I made a comment as to how they were in violation of the COVID guidelines. One of the staff heard me and they sent someone to the lobby and she only cleaned one table. The staff was all young people and they were playing around behind the counter. We decided not to order food from them because if the front was not up to COVID standards then we didn't want to know what the back looked like. read more

I order my sandwich the same a club with the roast beef put on the grill to brown because I don't like it rare. I don't mind flies flying around. I do mind when they're IN my food. The dead fly was buried in the shredded lettuce. I came here in July, and a man was angry about a few flies that landed on his sandwich. The employees remade it for him. TODAY a lady in front of me started screaming about some flies on her sandwich while waiting for them to dress it 'Mike's way' for her. She ended up walking out the door bitter about the bug problem without her food. I sat down with my sandwich, and as I adjusted the tomato I saw a plump dead fly in the lettuce! I showed the employees, and they said they'd remake it. No "I'm sorry!" No getting rid of the tray of lettuce the flies were flying around. Lost my appetite! Really, really horrible staff with an attitude. Ordered online and sent someone to pick up my order. Order was supposed to be ready by 5:29pm. At 6:00 friend called and said they had not started my order and that they had served 20 people in the line that already got their order before my online order. People came in the store after her and got their food. She was on the phone with me and I told her to tell them to cancel the order and let me talk to the manager. I could hear the employee in the background with a real attitude and I heard someone say "He doesn't need to talk to the manager, the manager is not going to talk to him." So if you have a problem to discuss, the manager is not going to even talk to you. Surprised this place is even in business with employees treating customers as I heard on the phone. read more

MUCH better than Subway or Quiznos! Ask for Jimmy to prepare your subs cuz he's the BEST!! They are very accommodating for allergies/ strict diet requirements. JUST TELL THEM. Example: my sister can't have gluten so they clean all surfaces and wash hands before they prepare her 'sub in a tub' (basically a sub, hold the bread) and my sis in law is a vegetarian, so they prepared her veggie sub on their equipment before preparing my NOT so vegetarian sub. I got a regular Jersey Mike's Philly Steak with extra meat, a large soda and two chip bags for me and my son. They were so friendly, the food was hot and delicious. Plan on going there again! The food is of course amazing. I always love Jersey Mike's because they use Boarhead deli meats and everything always tastes fresh. That being said, customer friendliness could have used a little work, and the soda machine had a TERRIBLE taste to it. So bad I had to dump out my drink and go for sweet tea because it was the only thing that didnt come from the fountain machine. The restaurant itself seemed clean and tidy however, each time I've gone in I'll tell the same man usually working my order and when it gets to the part of putting everything else on the sub they don't ask you what else you want. The communication is very poor and while in there one time, I tried explaining to the guy who assumed the sub was mine put bacon on both even though my boyfriend was the only one who asked for it. When I tried telling him he put it in both he didn't believe me until he unwrapped it and saw there was in fact bacon on both and didn't apologize. He also seemed high as a kite or drunk each time I've come in, even when you try to inform them nicely they chose not to listen or be in any way apologetic. Last weekend was my first visit to Jersey Mike's. I found the California Chicken sub. to be very good. I also added grilled onions on it. The sub was very sloppy so the next time I will ask for light mayo or maybe mayo on the side. I will visit again and again. I am glad it tried Jersey Mike, at last. When you walk in the there are 4 people 3 girls and a male sitting around the table in the back as if they are all looking at their phones or whatever. We have on lady in the front making sandwiches. Finally a girl from the back comes out the back SCRATCHING her head TOUCHING HER FACE. Leans on the meat display asking for our order. She then grabs my white bread with her dirty hands and places it on top of the other customers tuna and trays....I walked out. That is the nastiest thing you could do working with food that someone is eating and this is not the only time I have TRIED to eat here but ended up just throwing my food away after I paid for it. I would honestly say something really needs to be done here. I will call the inspector at this point. Flies are literally on the meat slicer, touching the tomatoes and SITTING ON THE onions. I get there and 4 people ahead of me in line though employees don't look busy, energetic or concerned. Cashier was in La-la land looking clueless. I told couple in front of me that I called ahead but no answer. They said they should have since they have to go to work. As we're standing, waiting, I called Jersey Mike's again and showed the couple my phone. Again, ringing off the hook and lazy employees not bothering to answer. Well. This location is exceptional in the fact that it is actively trying to make me dislike... nay... hate jersey mikes sandwiches as a brand. The last time I was presented with service that had both the enthusiasm of Ben Stein on a handful of Xanax and the accuracy of a drunken bumblebee. So I thought hey everybody has a bad day I'll give them another chance. How can one business actively try and avoid making sandwiches when that is kind of integral to your whole business model? Poor professionalism, all around attitude and a complete disdain for the customer. Please tell me how if I order a sandwich and you don't ask me about toppings then when I ask for toppings you tell me it's a completely different sandwich?!? Toppings go "on" the sandwich after it's made as part of the construction process unless there is some magical sandwich rules I don't know about. I can say without a doubt this jersey mikes has lost my business not that it cares. Apparently they don't like to nor need to make sandwiches. Maybe I'll visit Jersey Mikes house of attitude in the future and I'll be satisfied with my purchase as I receive a healthy helping of Malaise and prissiness.
