Super sloppy sandwich. Not sure if it was tuna salad with lots of mayo or veggies but almost impossible to eat. Don't like the vinegar on it but it was in it. Big Kahuna was apparently good - not as good as other locations. Also kind of mushy. Always shorted on either chips or cookies when we order in the app. Will probably go back again - we are sandwich lovers and usually above average food. read more

What do I start!?! We were the only 2 people In the store. We waited 28 minutes for two sandwiches. I asked why it was taking so long, mind you, I had to pry people off their phones to help me. They said they were swamped with orders. I can understand online orders, but we were in person. Then when we did get our sandwiches (chicken Philly and chicken bacon ranch) the chicken Philly had all the meat on half of the sandwich. We had to literally rearrange the meat to fully cover the entire length of the bread. It was a horrible experience and I will never be returning to the crown point Jersey mikes, and possibly it ever to any other location. I know I sound "like a Karen" but I work hard for the money I earn? And to have it wasted on a crappy sandwich with horrible service does not make me want to spend my money at this restaurant. The food is high-quality and good as you would expect from a Jersey Mike's, but the service is extremely slow. And it came down to one person, the lady doing the vegetables. She had no sense of urgency, and everyone was backed up because of her. The person that appeared to be the manager did nothing to remedy the situation. I've heard numerous rave reviews about this place so on a rainy October day, decided this was the lunch stop. Nicely set up - menu is large and spacious on the wall behind the food prep. Prices and options are clearly posted as well as sandwich details. Seating was comfortably arranged. Washrooms clean. I have to admit - choosing was difficult. There was no one behind us in line so I had the luxury to look and debate and change my mind a few times. I am going back to try the cheesesteak. :) I chose the roast beef and provolone. My dining partner chose turkey and provolone. Service - there were three young women - this is an assembly line set up. So if one is making the first part (bread, meat, cheese) the other two may be standing waiting for the sandwich to move to the next person. They also may be talking amongst themselves while waiting- I see zero challenge with them doing so. Today, I didn't see or hear any boisterous conversation - and if there was much of any conversation amongst them it wasn't enough to make me recall it now. First employee in the assembly line - acknowledged us immediately. Kind and friendly, she said would be a minute was assembling three sandwiches. Other two were on standby. All three made eye contact and....if you are out and about, you know in some places that doesn't happen as it should. These employees were spot on from the moment we walked in through the whole order and payment process. Very nice selection of chips and then also brownies and I think cookies. So we choose some chips and a brownie while we waited for our sandwiches to be made. First employee - asked which sandwich and bread (white, wheat, rosemary/parm) I had the rosemary parm. The first thing I noticed about the sandwiches - they are not skimpy. My sandwich (bread, meat, cheese) was made. Sent to second employee who asked what you would like on it (mayo, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes etc.) Very pleasant second employee also. Sandwich bagged. Third employee asked nicely - sandwich type, chips, drink and a brownie? Yes. There evidently is a rewards program as I was asked if I belonged to the Shore Program. It also is on the machine when you pay. It only states - are you a Shore member with "yes" as the only option (as I recall). This was my first visit. Perhaps having employees ask if I'd like to sign up may be a good thing but on the other hand, if there had been a line, I would have declined signing up. As this is a franchise - perhaps having a flyer or QR code to scan might be an option. Either way, I was asked and have looked up the program online. So - the sandwich........as mentioned, it is not skimpy. I ate 1/2 of the regular and saved half plus saved my chips. Bread was very fresh. It was a bit wider than a traditional French loaf and was made for a sandwich like this one. I think we have all noticed meat seems be getting skimpier and bread more dominant at many sub shops. Not here. Truly plentiful. Perfect amount mayo, lettuce and pickles also. Do I recommend this place? Yes. Will I be back? Yes. Also - they have a large sandwich option (as mentioned I had the regular option). the large option would be a great party tray option or easy way to take something to an office potluck (just cut into numerous smaller sections). Ordered food online for pickup and when my husband got there he was told it wasnt ready and was being made. As he sat waiting, everyone in the kitchen area was staring at him and then an employee came out asking him rudely what he needed. He said he was waiting for the food and said his name, and they found the bag immediately already made. The employee that said it wasn't ready just said "oh" . When we got home , 2 sandwiches were not made correctly but were still decent. Good thing we aren't picky lol. just now NEW Dinner | $30-50 I placed a order online for dinner for my kids. Picked up order & came home. 2 of 4 of my orders were wrong. Specifically ordered no mayo or cheese. Called in spoke to a young girl who said I would need to bring them back in to have them remade. I asked for a manager, he got on phone and was rude said he could take a picture of my order sheet and send it to me. I told him I could do the same he said I could text his Dad cuz his Dad was the owner yet gave no number....Said he could remake sandwiches but I told him my kids picked through their dinner and I didn't want the sandwiches remade that if they couldn't make it right the first time why would we choose to eat there again? Tried this location for the first time today. Went in and there was older couple in front of me trying to order. They had masks on so the worker could not hear them but was so rude to them and told them To speak up. Then the same girl looked at me and said are you ready to order yet. Rude service. Oh no where do I even begin. To start I like this chain a lot and was excited when they came to CP I have tried to postpone writing this review but after my 3rd and horrible experience today I felt obligated to do so. To start the staff is nice and friendly and I feel they could do the job well but must have been poorly trained. All they do is talk amongst one another and talk to the guests but mess up every sandwich! Lol! I said no cheese they added cheese I said no tomatoes and they added tomato!! They just do not listen. 2 girls do alll the work while the other 8 employees stand around and watch it's truly astonishing. The girl at the cashier is interrupting the customers to ask if they want a bag? Girl do your job! Don't interrupt the already challenged Employee as she is the only one making the sandwiches! I beg every time please just a little sauce and they put sooooo much my sandwich is sopping wet through the bag and making a giant mess. Inedible, am I the only person in CP who wants a normal experience at a chain you can get in any other Chicagoland suburb? It truly makes living here so frustrating. The guy who is supposed to wrap the sandwich let's it sit there for minutes on the counter with no paper and forgets to cut my sandwich in half because he is just talking away not paying one ounce of attention? Genuinely one of the worst experiences I've had customer service wise. The woman behind the cash register was rude and unfriendly to just about every person that walked in the restaurant. When someone had removed their card from the reader, she genuinely raised her voice at the woman and said PUT IT BACK IN. YOU NEED TO PUT YOUR CARD BACK IN. Worst service ever. Kids don't know how to make a sandwich. The menu literally has on it what meats are in a sandwich but they can't get it right. I order the #8 club. Ham, turkey, bacon mikes way. They start wrapping it up without adding bacon. So I say, wait that comes with bacon. Their reply was, we don't have anymore. They were just going to ignore and skip it. Also they never added mayo or the juices. It would of been nice to be told they were out of bacon before I ordered and had half the sandwich made. I would of just ordered something different. I wish I could rate them no stars honestly. I was very excited to finally have a Jersey Mikes nearby, but they just can't seem to hire anyone professional enough to do the job. On two separate occasions (back to back might I add) I went to this location after placing an online order. I arrived at this sandwich shop to be informed they couldn't make my food as they were out of bread. How does a sandwich shop have no bread?! I then had to argue with the cashier and force her to give me my refund out of the register because the system was down and she couldn't figure out how to give me my money back. After dealing with this TWICE IN A ROW I made sure to try and call before making any attempt at ordering from this location. Surprise surprise, the phone rang for about 3 minutes before disconnecting. I called and waited 4 times. I'm sure whoever they had working at this location at the time was in the back room joking around and goofing off, as the employees there usually are when there are 4+ people waiting in line. I have never witnessed such an unprofessional, unorganized, excuse for a business in my 30 years. And I used to work for Amazon so that's saying something. This establishment is a dark spot on an otherwise good business. I still hold Jersey Mikes as one of my favorite sandwich places, but this location receives no love and no business from me.
