I came into this store on 3/9/22 at around 11:30 am and I have to say, really horrible service. The people behind the counter paid no attention to what I was telling them to put on my sandwich. The kid wrapping my sandwich had massive hair on his face, I was fearful I'd find one in my food. He also picked his nose before he wrapped my sandwich, he still had his gloves on.. smh really poor service, I was not the only one unhappy either, while I was in the store there were several others complaining as well. seemed like there was no order or management. My last 3 to-go orders have been wrong. Either the size is wrong (and there's a big difference in price between regular and giant) or they don't pay attention to your modifications. I asked for no mayo on my sub and it was drenched in it. I asked for American cheese and got provolone. The food itself is fine, but it's not cheap and wrong so often. read more

First off, you should know that on average, the price for a sandwich with chips and a drink will set you back about eleven bucks - a bit steep. They have three sizes of sandwiches but their regular size sub should suit most appetites. I ordered their tuna recently and it was delicious, but my wife ordered their meatball sub and the bread fell apart due to being over saturated with sauce - just couldn't enjoy it because it was so soggy. Plus it was lukewarm at best. Overall I would say they are a little overrated all the way around. Although a little on the pricey side, the give you a healthy sized sub. Probably more bread than meat, my sandwich was tasty. The bread was fresh. Meat was sliced on the spot. Went for a quick bite. Not impressed by any means. Meats did not seem any fresher than Subway and were small portions. Also it just kinda grossed me out that the entire sandwich is made on a counter- no paper or board. Seems gnarly sandwich after sandwich. Toppings fall off while preparing going on and end up with a really small sandwich or snack for $9. Overrated name. No hurry back by any means. read more

I was happy to see Jersey Mike's make a comeback in Connecticut. They had a few shops that I used to frequent back in the early 90's but had all since closed. First, I wouldn't compare this shop to Subway. They're miles apart if not for the simple fact that they slice their meats and cheeses to order. The bread is much better at Jersey Mike's, too. It's probably in between a good non-chain sub shop and a chain shop like Subway, Blimpie, Nardelli's, or Quiznos -- but more closely similar to the non-chain shops. It's about as close to a real sub shop as you'll get out of a chain restaurant. I love the #9, which is the Club Supreme. That includes turkey, ham, provolone, bacon and mayo. I get it Mike's way plus pickles. It's a great sandwich that has never disappointed me. It's delicious! I could probably eat it every day. The staff at the Fairfield shop is always very cheerful and friendly. I'll be back for sure! read more

Sandwiches are not bad. My wife had a bad customer service experience. 5 people working behind the counter, 2PM on a Saturday summer afternoon. She orders a "sub in a tub" salad. Pays for it, walks up, asks for a fork. She was offered a knife but they don't have forks. The staff looks at each other and won't do anything. Someone can't go down to Shoprite down the block and pick up some forks? My wife has to walk next door and get a fork from Einstein bagel on her own so she can eat a salad in Jersey Mike's. I find that suspect. Too little meat put on the sandwich. Really good subs, the cold cuts are freshly sliced when you order. The meat is good quality and a generous portion. The bread is fresh and delicious! As are all the toppings. I ordered mine "Mike's Way" which is with onion, tomato, shredded lettuce, special spices and the "the Juice" which is an oil and vinegar mix. It was so good! So much better in every way than Subway. The place was clean and attractive and the employees were very friendly and nice. It will definitely be my new go to sub shop. Try Jersey Mike's and you will never eat at Subway again. read more

First of all I have had to literally call corporate for these people to make more wheat bread! Since they opened they would pathetically ask me to call them to check if they had wheat. What's wrong with that picture? It's your business to have wheat at all times!!!!!!! Not only for the first 5 people and then sit back and demand people eat only white! Your company offers wheat till 9pm each night so each time I come between open to 9pm there best be wheat. But why do I need to tell them this? Such bad management it's utterly disgraceful. The sandwiches are always fresh. I found that the cold subs are more generous than the hot subs. Bread is great and the staff is friendly. My only gripe is that the girls are touching their hair on almost every one of my visits, and that's with their gloves on. The same gloves that they use while making my sandwich. read more

After living down the street from here and hearing a few recommendations, I finally gave Jersey Mikes a try. The staff here was nice and friendly as they walked me through a few different choices. When I decided on my buffalo chicken wrap, I waited in the very cold restaurant for my meal to be cooked. I was going to stay and eat my meal there, but I couldn't take the chill in the air. Once I got home, I tried my wrap and it was tasty and super fresh, but the price was a bit high and I felt like I could have gotten more at a few other places on the same street. read more

Why would anyone ever set foot in Subway again after eating Jersey Mike's? There is no comparison. Jersey Mike's is so fresh and delicious, with interesting menu options. The staff is mostly excellent and the location is convenient. You can customize as much as you want or go "Mike's way", which is basically the works. Drawbacks include that I believe they close at 9 every night - 10 or even 11 would be nice, and I am sure they would rake in late night business being right between two colleges. I'm old but sometimes due to being busy I can't eat till after 9 and it would be a nice option. They apparently offer breakfast but the one time I tried to go try it, the door was locked at 9AM even though they were supposed to be open. So who knows. Overall I love it there and highly recommend to anyone who likes sandwiches/subs. read more

Me & my boyfriend tried Jersey Mike's for the first time last week Tuesday. When he suggested a sandwich place for dinner I was a little bummed out because I really don't like sandwiches or cold cuts. We got there minutes before closing but the women working this shift were still so very polite & the service was wonderful. They even apologized for feeling a bit run down because they had a tough day. I ordered a Philly CheeseSteak just the way that it comes .... I'm from the Jersey shore, and the true art of the hoagie is hard to find in Connecticut. If you know Primo Hoagies (aka heaven) in south Jersey and Philly area, you know what I mean. It's all about the bread and freshly sliced high quality meats. But especially the bread! Jersey Mike's bread gets 2-2.5 stars (for reference, I'd give Subway 1 star). The overall sandwich is decent and pretty close to what I'd find at many Jersey hoagie shops. Service gets 5 stars, very nice employees. There's still something about the food overall that says "you're actually in Connecticut" though.....I'm still thinking it's mostly the bread. read more

I was excited to find a jersey mikes local. I really enjoy the food but the staff is unbelievably rude. Other than the 2 girls i regularly see who are so pleasent the rest are new faces with attitudes worse than the one before. Went last week the girl couldnt be bothered to acknowledge me with a hello or be right with you. "Call ahead" is what i made of her mumble after realizing she was refering to me. Its not the 2nd or 3rd time the staff has had horrible customer service but you cant help feel their pissd off aura and i dont want to be here/dont ask me anything written all over their face maybe because they want to get back to their friends in the lobby. I am a regular and I have to say this has been the worst this store has been. For the past 3 weeks or so something was out of stock ok fine, but this past Sunday they ran out of roast beef,American cheese,turkey, white bread, and green and red pepper strips. I have noticed one girl sitting down on a laptop with hoodie and the jersey mikes hat on, I don't know if she's the manager but I've seen her take customers with the same hoodie on multiple occasions and that's unprofessional.i love this place but they been having management issues and it's not the staffs fault but the manager needs to step it up. read more

I used to love Jersey Mike's when I lived in FL, and once they put one in Fairfield I was very happy. Just like any Jersey Mikes subs, Lots of meat that is cut right in front of you, lots of toppings. Not sure why every one here said that the toppings were scarce, I have to assume they got the mini sub. My sandwiches always taste great. My only two problems are that yeah it can be a little bit pricey depending on what sub you get, and two, they can be slow. I went last night after work (about 6:30) and it took well over 30 minutes to get my sub. Definitely not a place to run out to for a quick sub at dinner time. read more

I loved everyone's attitude except the managers he came off very snobbish and they all act like the world is changing when you want something different but overall food was OK too expensive for how much meat you get and depending on whose slicing it looks like crap. Overpriced for how much they put on your sandwich. They seem to think crumpling up a paper thin piece of what looks to be artificial turkey is filling a sandwich when in fact it just makes it look full. Especially when they only put 3 pieces on a "regular" sized sandwich. And whatever you do don't even think about customizing your sub, the employees will look at you like you have 2 heads only after arguing with you and giving you an attitude. I understand this place is new but management should really focus on training their employees specifically in the area of customer service. After our $24 total (for 2 subs) we are on our way to get something dinner because the quality of the food (except the bread) was so terrible we threw it out!
