Employee 1 was busy making 3 sandwiches, employee 2 just finishing with the only other person in the store. I followed the directions on the sign in the restaurant to wait there until called. 8 min later not a single word was spoken to me. I was completely ignored. Another customer walked in and employee 3 walks out and greets her and confirms her online order. Finally he asked me how can he help. I was so happy when I saw that a Jersey Mikes was opening close to my work. I love me some Mikes sandwiches. This place is new and both times I've been it's super busy. It's on the corner of orangethorpe and harbor next to some other popular spots so the parking can get packed. It seems like they anticipated for busy times because they have a row of employees prepping sandwiches. What I love is how fresh the sandwiches are. The meat and cheese are sliced thin and put onto bread as it's sliced. The bread is soft in the middle with a crunch on the outside. Love that toppings are minimal to choose from. The oil and vinegar they put on the sandwich is banging. I always order the #7 which is Turkey and provolone. They accept coupons and have tasty cake desserts for sale too. She clocks out and I'm just standing there... then another random dude comes up and puts my meat on the griddle... I didn't want my meat and cheese heated up. Sandwich presentation was extremely sloppy and the workers are talking to each other using profanity. It doesn't help that the music is skipping every other second... No manager present obviously. i went here for lunch during my lunch break at school, since we have an open campus. i ordered my sub at 12:13pm, expecting it to be ready in at most 10/15 minutes. it is now 12:45, and they are "still making" my sub. i have been late to school twice because of this. every time i come to this location, there is always one or a few people complaining how they are now late to whatever they need to go to. the workers continue to give us dirty looks while we are STILL patiently waiting for our food. really disappointing because i love the food here. update: finally got our food at 12:47. Normally Jersey Mike has good customer service , this is the first time I walk into this location and the employees were very rude and ignorant . The employee accused me for asking for the wrong type of meat whenever he didn't even ask me which meat id like on the sandwich . He blamed it on me , and was acting confident that I chose the wrong meat whenever I wasn't even asked for which meat I wanted . In regards to my sandwich it was ok. I think it's a bit to pricey $11 for a small sandwich and bag of chips. I've visited this place a couple times but I'm done. The customer service it's just crazy. The guys working behind the counter making the sandwiches are at times helpful. When I first tried the place and had no idea how to order they were polite and helped me put together a sandwich. The following time it was , "what do you what?" major attitude. I just ordered something that I didn't even want. Today I got the sandwich I wanted but I find it very wrong that when I go to pay I'm asked for a tip first. The female cashier is extremely rude. Damn I hit no for the tip request and I get eye rolls and, "here!' her just having my receipt in hands. This isn't the first time. But today is the last day that she gets to give me attitude for I won't be returning. With service like that I'm not going to waste my time. If you don't like working with the public than change jobs. I don't understand why the attitude if the customers are being polite with you why can't you treat them the same. I was going to tip if I knew my tip went to the sandwich makers only and not her. But sorry guys your teammate is killing you guys. I don't know why this place doesn't have five stars! Every time I come here for lunch, I always receive great service from all of the staff, no matter how busy the lunch rush gets! My experience today was no exception. I'd placed an order for lunch (or so I thought) and showed up to the pick up counter only to find out my order wasn't ready... I checked my email and quickly realized I didn't hit the "place my order" button (doh!). I got in line and a gentleman walked over to me (probably the shift lead/supervisor) to ask about my order. I let him know I'd made a mistake and he was nice enough to take my order, even though I was the last person in line! Came here in a rush bc my pregnant ass has not stopped thinking about Jersey Mike's for the past 2 months and I finally got the OK to eat cold cuts once in awhile. Young colleagues working diligently all while making their time fun and enjoyable. I got a #9 giant on wheat, mikes way with a side of pepperoncinis and relish-- IFYKYK. I was in such a rush that I forgot my wallet but they do have Apple Pay, so I was good to go or so I thought. Come to pay and their card reader isn't syncing or taking my payment. We tried countless times and as I was about to tell him I'll just come back to get my wallet, the cashier slipped his own card and paid for my meal plus the tip I gave them-- I'm not crying, you're crying. I was literally in shock and asked if I could at least Venmo him and how I can pay him back-- all he said was it's been paid for and asked if I needed a bag. I legit was at a loss for words. I just said yes and thank you like 3x then left. To some, this may just be a small act of kindness but it meant so much more for me bc I was having a rough couple of months but his act of kindness helped me see that people and the world isn't so shitty sometimes. Awesome new location! The manager takes pride in this business and the staff is relatively accommodating of custom requests. My favorite is an Italian sub in a tub, aka a plastic container with no bread. The beef cheesesteak on wheat is FANTASTIC for an indulgence. I work in the area and will be back often. Went in tonight , and was greeted with such a friendly welcome by the young man with curly hair and a taller gentlemen They were so ready to help and were very detailed on what was on the menu and what Mike's way was cause it was only my second time in this location And I was very pleased with how they were so helpful even when coming at a busy hour with other orders they were doing. the young man with the curly hair was so patient and that's something you don't see these days. This was my first time ever at a Jersey Mike's I got #56 the big kahua nothing big about it at all! Had barely any meat on it and all I could taste was the bread. I have been wanting to try them for a long time as my coworkers have raved about the #56 so me and a coworker decided to split since I have never been there before Well went I opened it to split she asked me where I went because she has never gotten a sandwich that looked like that? Have been a customer since they opened. Never had issues until COVID-19. Last time we went the whole order was messed up, ordered online. Went to the store today and we only had 2 face masks for 3 people. My husband covered his face with his shirt.
