Came here for the first time and there were 2 people working. The person that helped me was so rude, kept cutting me off, talking over me and just rushed me through my entire interraction like she had 20 people in line. As someone who has never been in Jersey Mike's before I won't be coming back. I had so many questions but she obviously did not care about what I was trying to ask. She rushed me through what toppings i wanted and looked irratated as i was trying to decide. My Autistic son was ordering his sandwich and is naturally quiet spoken, she got irritated with him because she couldn't hear which made him uncomfortable so i had to step in and complete his order. I thought it was just me but she did it to a customer after me that wanted a salad. The lady asked what dressing they had and she said oil or vinegar, when the lady asked is that all your dressings she then said we have mayo mustard etc....this girl has zero customer service and needs to be retrained because the entire atmosphere and interaction the customers were given was zero stars! Great food ruined by quite possibly the most incompetent, possibly severely intoxicated "sandwich" assembler. Having never been to a Jersey Mike's I was excited to try one with my family who loves them. After waiting 5 minutes in "line" (with no other customers present) the sandwich assembler finally acknowledged our existence and took our order - wrongly. Two individuals ordered the same sandwich, which was shrugged off as a typo so only one was rung up. The sandwiches took (again with no other customers present) ten minutes to be finished. My sandwich - I was assured - was to be wrapped in lettuce. Upon receipt it was clearly "wrapped" (more like haphazardly piled) into a soggy, disintegrating green tortilla, which forced me to resort to knife and fork. I stopped in for a #13 yesterday afternoon. One of the two young males working took my order. He started a #17 instead of a #13. I told him that I ordered a #13, no bid deal. When I went to pay with a card, I did not leave a tip. The kid hands me the sandwich, and says "here you go, thanks for the tip". Jersey Mike's is a pretty solid sandwich shop. I'm confounded by the whole "Mike's Way" - which appears to be the placing of too much oil and mixed dry herbs on to an otherwise delicious sandwich - but just be prepared to tell them how a sandwich is supposed to be made. Otherwise, they use fresh meats that they cut themselves, the prices are reasonable, and the service is good. Definitely worth checking out. read more

I go to this Jersey Mike's at least 3 to 4 times in a week before I go to class. in the beginning I always just ask for a number 17 with the garlic rosemary bread whatever the hell you call it because they obviously don't understand it. to get to the point they never give me the correct type of bread I usually won't say anything the first time but when I did this time they made it seem like the end of the world. they took back the sandwich and just replace the meat onto new bread they didn't even give me a new one or they didn't do anything to compensate for my issues here. The management needs to take control and take care of the guests this is not acceptable for ordering this amount of time just to get the right type of bread it's not that hard to do. Holy Toledo are those sandwiches big! There were 2 guys ahead of me that were a decent size (each were over 6 ft tall and average build). I overheard them talking, one guy saying that they could share a giant sandwich, since it was pretty big. They were not kidding! With a BOGO coupon (+2 drinks) the bf and I decided to get two giant subs (knowing that I could save half for lunch the following day). We got the Original Italian and the Cheese Steak. These sandwiches were GINORMOUS! Definitely longer than my arm, and maybe even the length of my leg. (Yes, I'm a shorty...) But the Italian (ordered "Mike's way") was piled with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, and oil looked like delicious subs you see in commercials or on billboards. The Cheese Steak is cooked fresh, not just heated up like Subway, so it took some time for it to come out. We like to share, so I got of the Italian and gave him of the cheese steak, with the other halves put aside. I started on the cheese steak first. It was right off their stove, so it was piping hot, with cheese covering every inch of the meat. It was tasty! But after I was done with that, I was pretty full, and had about 1/8 of the Italian. That was also pretty tasty, but not very distinctive from other Italians I've had elsewhere. I had the last half of the Italian for lunch the next day and it held up pretty well. (Although I did forgo some of the bread, since it was still pretty big!) Final verdict: The cheese steak seemed worth the money, but the cold subs are just as good as Subway or Sam's To Go in the plaza across the street. If you get a giant sandwich, which will run around $11-$12, it really isn't a bad idea to share it. read more

For the second visit in a row, their outdated register/credit card machine crashed on my order and the poor employees had to reboot it. Took at least 5 minutes while the customer line grew! Never have any issues here, not sure why everyone else is getting such bad sandwiches and service. I've ordered a couple times during COVID and the app/online ordering is great, lets you customize it just how you want it and you can skip the line...usually is ready in no time. The rewards are great and even if you rarely go, they add up pretty fast. Place still gets busy even during this pandemic. They even had a 50% off deal in the app awhile ago, which is a steal if you get a Giant sandwich, which is cut into 1/4's. read more

Went for a work lunch with a few people and they got every sandwich wrong despite it being relatively quiet in there when we ordered. Staff is young and inexperienced, which is fine by me (you have to start somewhere!) but the attitudes are really poor. It also was not clean in there and they weren't using really hygienic processes to make the sandwiches. This isn't the type of place I'd eat lunch normally but I went in with a completely open mind. I'm very upset because I ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich and was so hyped. Halfway through the sandwich I realized I was eating a philly cheese steak. Don't go here unless you want to feel personally attacked by the sandwich-making evildoer. I asked my sandwich to be cut in thirds, and he scolded me for asking too early into the sandwich making process. As he was putting the toppings on my sandwich, I asked for avocado. He looked up at me and said, "No." I laughed at the obvious joke he was making, but then he told me that it was too late, and I was supposed to ask for that at the beginning when he was slicing the meat. Once he finished making my sandwich and slid it to the countertop, I started taking out my card to pay, but I didn't realize the man in front of me hadn't payed yet. The customer looked at me and kindly said, "No, you go ahead of me." As I was politely declining, the sandwich-making evildoer interjected, and said that I wasn't allowed to pay before the other customer. I don't know why this employee is making the experience of ordering a sandwich into a legalistic process. Had I known to ask for avocado in the beginning, I would have. He made me feel like I had to take a class to understand how to order a sandwich. I had a terrible experience just now. I am a f&b manager so I get it, I get people calling out, I get running out of stuff, I get lines etc. But this was bad. Two poor girls were there alone, neither of them a lead/supervisor. They both seemed overwhelmed. There were approx 15 people in line. It took 35 minutes to get a sandwich. I placed my order (a Big Kahuna in a tub) the poor girl looked confused and asked a bunch of questions. Someone else made it after being reminded twice.They were out of tubs (she didn't know this until she went to put it in something) so she stuck it in foil. The melted cheese completely seeped through and made a mess once I got home. The entire process tonight was a disaster. They need a MOD and someone to guide them. They need to be set up for success, not left drowning. Philly Cheese Steak fans of Santa Barbara...Look no further than Jersey Mike's! Since I first moved to the Santa Barbara area in January, I've been looking for a great Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich, but up until now, I've ultimately been disappointed. Jersey Mike's crushed that disappointment with a great cheese steak. It was made exactly how one should be made with thin strips of beef, melted cheese, and with thinly sliced grilled onions and peppers. While the sandwich was very large, it left me wanting more because it tasted that good. I never expected that, especially considering the place is known for it's sub sandwiches and not cheese steaks. Prior to ordering the cheese steak sandwich today, I had been Jersey Mike's a few times before and ordered regular sub sandwiches. The sandwiches are good as well and fairly large. All jersey mikes never fail to provide great service. They are all consistent as well in how fresh the subs are. Steer clear of subway and Quiznos if a jersey mikes is nearby! If I could change anything it would be that the fountain drink machines change from pepsi to coke! Also, I almost always feel a little pressured to tip, is it just me? Get it Mike's Way (oil, vinegar, spices, salt and pepper)! Subway's footlongs cost $5 to around $6 and change if you get a "premium" sub with multiple types of meat or something. They'll get some cheese on there too and then you can pick whatever you like on there like lettuce, tomato,etc. We've all had Subway folks ... it has NO taste whatsoever. Jersey Mike's footlong sub (or very similarly sized sub), is $7.50. The meat is fresh, the cheese is fresh (both are sliced infront of you). The lettuce tastes like lettuce. It's like driving a honda civic and then you get into a BMW. Yes both are cars and they drive on the road but it's a different experience. Not to mention, the subs here are way more filling. The people are also willing to work with you if you want to make some kind of custom creation. Definitely recommended! read more

It never fails, I order my sandwich and they ask for "Mikes way", I say yes, and additionally ask for pickles. Then they forget to put them on. At the register I get asked if I desire chips and a drink, I say yes and they continue to ask a second time as if they were not even listening or as it is just a programmed question they forget in the 5 second after asking the first time. I think they hire them too young ( this goes for Ventura Jersey Mikes also) and the employees are in that teenager trance... (Huh, what?, duh!) Three Pickles and South Coast deli come to mind. Nothing really stood out and said "WOW, I have to come back!" The pastrami sandwich #20 was a hot mess with way too much 1000 Island dressing. The meat was swimming between all those islands and the flavor got lost. The sub, #13 was good...had it Mikes way and it had some great flavors. More bread choices would be great. A white or wheat roll is it, unless you want a wrap. The place is clean with friendy employees but that's not enough for me. I went to this location and it took them 15 min to just ask what I wanted. No one was there in line other than me. The girls were very rude. While waiting a family walked in that didn't speak English and the man had asked where the Bathroom was (in Spanish) and the lady screamed "what!" 3 times then yells "I DONT SPEAK SPANISH!" The man left but I could tell he was embarrassed. She finally got me bread and decided to toss it around. When telling her what I wanted she said "no she will take care of that" and shut me out. I then waited another 10 min and I was getting irritated since the other girls weren't doing anything. I decided to leave so I put my chips down and started to walked out. The lady that was doing nothing decided so scream "I need your toppings!" I politely said I'm going to pass but thank you. She then says "oh okay whatever." I started to open the door when I heard them giggle and say "we don't need you anyway." Very rude, no need for the attitude, the yelling or any of that. Very disappointing. I was in Santa Barbara to meet my roommates and I've never been here, they were the first group of people I have met. Came from a 3 hour drive and was tired and hungry and was treated like trash.
