I came here one time and I liked what I ordered. I got a Zen Burger and it was great. They put a lot of avocado and it served with tortilla chips. I also tried the cornbread and chili that was also great. I would order both again. They have a lot of seating and it's a good place for groups. The service was also so friendly and kind. read more

They food here is large, affordable, and delicious! We got a whole wheat veggie quesadilla with ranch, and comes with a salad ($14) but added grilled chicken for an extra $4. The seating area is a nice and bright with plenty of options from booths, tables, and high chairs inside, and tables outside too. I got the buddha burrito and others got the nachos grande and hummus platter. The appetizers came out the same size as my burrito so I'd say the portion sizes are generous. The beans in my burrito weren't my favorite, but the flavor profile wasn't bad just not exactly what I was expecting. Eating outside on a nice sunny day makes for a great way to spend a weekend especially if the farmer's market is also going on, but in terms of food quality I think other places offer tastier options. read more

Specifically sought out Natural Cafe, as I'd been eating a bit rubbish the last few days and was craving something healthy-ish. I had my eye set on the turkey chili, but I was pretty hungry so opted for the veggie stir fry with tofu instead. I kind of wish I'd gotten the chili, as I adore chili... and while the stir fry portion was generous, I would have appreciated a bit more flavor. I had to go back and re-read the menu that the veggie were supposed to be stir fried in a sauce.. as there really was no flavor besides, well, just a stir fried vegetable. We have been to this area and this shopping center before but had never tried this cafe. Tried the turkey sandwich and it was good... with real turkey.. not the pressed sliced processed stuff.. this was legit. The hummus appetizer was also tried and it was good to really good and great for sharing. Now for the WOW item... this chocolate chip cookies you see when you order are a must get item. They will warm it for you if you ask or just have it room temperature.. either way those things are amazing! To be 100% fair.. the only ding is the drink station set up.. gets clogged easily due to each person having to use tongs to get their ice.. then their drink, then their napkins and utensils... they need to smooth this bit out. read more

This place is in same complex with lot of other restaurants. With 2 vegetarians in the group, we were struggling to find a place that will have enough variety. Came across this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with options on the menu. Place is decent sized with large outdoor patio, which was not open due to earlier rain. But there are enough seats inside. We loved the food! Portion sizes were big. The grilled veg sandwich had veggies that were grilled and HOT! First time got such wonderful hot sandwich which is a rarity for vegetarians. And it was tasty too. Pasta was too big for one person and now tomorrow's breakfast is ready for them with leftovers. Every time we visit Goleta, we find ourselves returning to Natural Cafe over and over again because the food is healthy and tasty, they have a wide selection on their menu, and the place is pleasant and clean. I like their avocado and sprouts sandwich, my hubbie likes their burritos and enchiladas. I also like their high protein meals that have chicken and veggies. Everything is fresh and good quality. You know a place is good when there's a group of people waiting for it to open and that was definitely today. I'm glad that there are healthy options like this place available but with that being said, vegan / veg food can be fun, too ya know! It doesn't always have to be a sandwich or salad. That's what I feel this place kind of limits it to. It's clean inside with the usual "healthy spot" decor; Buddha statue? Check. The staff seemed annoyed a bit with my order but accommodating nonetheless. I got a sandwich and a vegetarian chili. They were decent and filling, able to make 2 meals out of it... but nothing to go crazy over. Lots of seating inside and out. I like this place. So many options for those who want to eat healthy. I do wish they did their tofu better than steamed or sautéed. I had the portobello Sammie and it was good but the pesto flavor does not come thru. The veggie Sammie is solid and chock full of veggies. The special was a turkey burger which we also tried. Decent with a nice side salad. Why not a 4 you ask? The lemon bar takes down a star I am afraid. It was dry like dust. Next time I will try the chocolate chip cookie. Nearly every time I order take out, I get a text saying that my order is ready, and then when I walk in to pick it up, they say it's not ready, with the most recent time being 6 minutes after they text me and make up a different excuse each time for why there's the discrepancy saying they accidentally bumped the machine or that the machine just sends texts early on its own. read more

The Natural Cafe is such a good spot for lunch! I love their salads. My go to is the Chopped Cobb. Everything always tastes fresh and made to order. The Goleta location is great because parking is super easy. Even on the Tuesday I went during lunch, they were really busy inside. However, it was easy to place a to-go order and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining options. The service was great too! read more

This was an okay lunch moment with pretty hands off service. I ordered the Mt Fuji stir fry and a coffee. The staff member handed me a mug with no direction of where to get the coffee. I eventually found the carafe on the side but it wasn't immediately visible/obvious. The stir fry was okay the chicken and veggies tasted super fresh but everything was extremely bland. I love getting lunch at The Natural Cafe. The food is always good, not expensive, and it's quick. My favorite dishes are the Good Karma burger (vegan tempeh burger, order without mayo for vegan and I like to add avocado) and the Tofu Veggie Bowl. I also love the Spiritual Spinach Salad (no feta for vegan) and always add sautéed tofu and avocado. My husband's favorite is the Chipotle Chik'n Sandwich (vegan) and my son loves to get a side of black beans and rice, sautéed tofu, and a tortilla and make his own little burrito! read more
