This place is always busy, both inside and with takeout orders, so I definitely recommend ordering ahead if you're in a hurry. That said, they are consummate professionals at what they do, and even if you walk in, the wait is never painful. My advice: check out the menu while you're in line and be ready to order when you get to the register. They're busy, and nobody wants to be the indecisive person holding up the line! Their daily specials are incredible, but be aware that if you want a special from a different day, it's not happening. Also, get there early if you want the special, because they can and do sell out -- which honestly just proves how good they are. Everything here is done right. The menu items are thoughtfully put together, balanced, and full of flavor. Portions are generous without being ridiculous, prices are very fair, and honestly, I think they may even be low compared to the value you get. The staff is always helpful, and the girl at the counter has been there as long as I've been going -- I believe she's family -- which says a lot about the heart behind this place. Don't skip the market, either. They carry some of the best Italian ingredients, and it adds even more to the experience. Saverino's is by far the best sandwich spot in Redlands, and I'd go out on a limb and put them in the top five on the West Coast. Family-run, local, consistent, and absolutely top notch. I hope this finds Andrew, the general manager or even attention from corporate. I am a former Jersey Mike's employee from 2016 to 17 and this experience I just had was completely unacceptable and if it would have happened when I worked there, I would be fired over it. We had ordered a total of four subs 3 #3R and 1 #13R. We ordered it for pick up when we got to the house and open the sandwiches not one single sandwich was made right and we didn't even get the R13. I call the store said they could give a refund or remake it but I have to bring in the messed up ones. When we got there I ask for a drink or chip for the inconvenience. He didn't even offer anything or seem to be apologetic over it . So he said that's fine gave me the smallest cup they offer and I grabbed a chip and I reached over to grab another cup cause that's ridiculous and he proceeded to walk to me and ask if I grabbed another cup and I said yes and he responded with "I only gave you one". Like seriously? You gave me the smallest cup (water cup) . I had to threaten to speak to the GM then he proceeded to tell me I'm ok with an attitude. I came in this establishment on 03/23/18 and left with a negative experience. I returned to this establishment the day after 03/24/18 because I was desperately craving a sub and had no choice but to go here due to the proximity of this place to my house. (Store #20242) I encountered Maria C. and Adrian who immediately greeted me upon arriving in the store. Maria C. proceeded to ask me how my day was going and continued to engage me in light conversation. I appreciated the professionalism, speedy service, and genuinely kind-hearted staff (specifically Maria C. and Adrian) at this store! Adrian (Manager) listened to my negative experience that I had the night before, apologized and made sure I was taken care of completely this time around, leaving with a positive experience. Customer service is remarkable, can't get any better than this place. I sat down to eat my number 13 (highly recommend this sandwich always ask for this one!!) and shortly after realized I had lost my chapstick. I frantically started to search for my chapstick because it is a very expensive brand - reminds me of home. Noticing I was in distress, one of the workers (I think his name was Nathan), asked if I needed assistance. I told him I was looking for my chapstick and he seemed very concerned! The whole staff then proceeded to help me look for my chapstick. My chapstick had fallen off the table and rolled my quiet a distance, but the nice young man found it for me. I requested a refund at that time as well due to the attitude of the employee on the phone. At the time, I did not realize the woman on the phone was the same person I dealt with today. I asked for a receipt confirming the refund, but she refused to provide anything, including her name, even though she claimed to be the manager. I asked for her name so I could reference her if there was an issue with my refund. She does not look taller than 5ft, Hispanic/Latin, with unnatural red hair. I left with no guarantee of my refund. Managers exact words were "you got your refund last time, you will this time" I have now filed a complaint with Subway and am looking for the franchise owner information to escalate further. I will not be returning here. I may only be one customer, but I will be sure to share this experience with my dozen of coworkers who normally go to this location and others in the community.
