Been to a lot of Jersey Mikes since the started sprouting up in ventura county. .. i like this one because of the family that runs it. Lately we haven't seen too much of them and i think that is when the "not so good" sevice shows. I love how one of the guys tries to remember our order each time. Always fun to talk to. Manager took my phone order. Planned to have sandwiches for a long day of competitions out of town. Specifically told the person taking the order(manager) for 2 regular #8s DRY w/ sauce on the side, Mike's way no tomatoes or onions and cut in thirds. Picked up my order and by the time we made it to competition, it was not cut in thirds, it was soggy because they put sauce in it. What a way to ruin a planned out day at competition. We had to buy something else for lunch that day. I called the manager back and he offered to credit two sandwiches after I made the suggestion. Picked up 2 new ones the next day and he didn't even apologize and gave a dirty look when a staff member handed it to me. * 1) Manager needs to go, obviously he is not trained and isn't training the staff right * 2) Slow service; unprofessional I was going to disregard a bad review because The second time around sandwiches were as ordered, but because the manager gave an attitude and wasn't apologetic...I had to write one. Ordered a giant tuna sandwich and my daughter likes just lettuce with yellow peppers in a container. and a large drink. The guy told me on the phone they have no white bread right off the bat which was fine didn't want anyways. So I ordered the rosemary cheese bread one. So when I got home from picking it up I opened it and got the worst bread,it looked ok but was super dry tasting and was just plain white bread from what I could tell. And the price was 28$ exactly. I gave a 10% tip but don't know what the 25$ and change is that they charged me for. Think the sandwich was hell I don't know? The veggie sub in a tub was just lettuce with the yellow peppers and some dressing. And a large drink? Oh, Mike, what happened? Maybe a bad day. We ordered 3 hot sandwiches, and specifically asked for them to be cut in thirds. Order taker wrote it all down, but sandwich maker didn't notice and cut the first one in half. No problem, except he argued that they cut in halves. I asked him to remake it (I can't recut a sandwich cut in half into 3 pieces, sorry) -- he takes a new roll out, heats it, then tries to transfer the contents over. Not ideal - melted cheese doesn't transfer, just FYI. At this point, though, we're running late. USUALLY, the hot sandwiches are rolled in foil to keep them hot. These weren't, and both ends on ALL sandwiches were open. Result? Cold sandwiches when we got home, as well as meatball sauce leaking out the bottom. And one sandwich with less than what would be normally in it. I'd like to go back and resolve this with the manager, but I've got three starving kids, and the people there just don't seem to care. read more

As others before me have said, Jersey Mike's isn't cheap. But when you realize the amount of food you get, the quality of the ingredients, and the fact that the meat is fresh sliced right onto your sandwich, there is no turning back. I don't know anyone else that gives you a cold cut that was sliced less than a minute before it hits your mouth in the area, or even on the west coast. Jersey Mike's is an expanding chain, but this is the first one I've visited. The natural temptation is to compare JM with Subway, and I'll go no further than to say that JM is more expensive, by a dollar or two. But they also have wraps, which is what I picked up. And for anyone who has looked over my "favorites" or my earlier reviews, there's no doubt that I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap, which came with lettuce, dressing, croutons, and chicken, with some parmesan cheese. The wrap was very delicious, and despite adequate portions, I was left wanting a little more. Funnily, the girl behind the counter asked me if I wanted everything that came with it. I figure all those ingredients are essential. Maybe next time I'll ask her to hold the lettuce, and just give me an edible cup with dressing in it. Another odd thing: their chocolate chip cookies are fifty cents each. But if you want to buy in bulk, be prepared to pay only $1.45 for 3 cookies! That's right, a savings of 5 cents spread over three cookies. Awesome. read more

While Jersey Mike's is supposed to be much better than Subway, I find that the latest improvements in bread and ingredients at Subway outshine Jersey Mike's. The cost at Jersey Mike's is much more compared to Subway. The chicken sandwich we had was not chicken breast but thin shredded chicken. The bread was ok, not great. Service was fair. This place is great, we eat here all the time. The staff is wonderful and the sandwiches are yummy... Although, pretty pricey. Can't say anything bad about this place other than they could maybe be a little more consistent with the way they make the sandwiches, and the way they taste. Sometimes it's fairly bland or lacking in add-ons. We are regular jersey mike visitors and that won't stop unless we move, currently they are right across the street - pretty convenient for sub fans! read more

When it is busy, it is a pain, I will agree with the others. And ordering something 'Mike's Way' and then iny case, backtracking and taking half of it off, seems also a little silly. However the sandwiches are delicious, and Josh is the best with his Lego Minifigures on display on top the deli case. We really like the whole staff. Five stars read more

We've been to Jersey Mike's a lot lately! We always have a good experience with the nice people and good food. The manager, Josh, has such a happy, uplifting personality and seems to truly enjoy his job. (Love his lego creations and the cool music playing) If the lines are long during busy times it's because they attend to each customer's sandwiches, adding extras we request and making good suggestions, when we aren't sure. The place is a little hard to review. It's expensive, for sure. No "$5 footlongs" here, that's for sure. At over $10 for their 'large' sandwich, it can get a bit pricey if you're trying to feed a few people. However, the sandwiches always taste MUCH better than anything you'd get at subway, so it partially justifies the price. The service at this particular store is less than optimal, they're not usually too busy, and are generally standing around waiting for customers. They've messed up on more than a few orders, which we had to go back to get them to correct. Thankfully we live within walking distance so it's not a HUGE inconvenience. So 3/5 stars. Could work on getting the orders right the first time, and some sort of pricing promo would be nice too. But keep up the tasty sandwiches! read more

Walked in here on Christmas Eve for lunch and the manager was very rude. I asked for a wrap and he said "a what?" So I repeated myself and he stood there not saying anything so I said "do you have wraps? Flatbread?" And the manager said "we don't have flatbread!" And I said "don't you have wraps?" And the manager said "we have tortillas!". I don't understand why he had to be rude and aggressive when I only asked for a wrap which is on the menu. After that I said I only wanted turkey on my wrap. Another guy started making my wrap as the manager told him "she wants a number 7". I told them, no I only want turkey on my wrap because a number 7 comes with cheese. For toppings I was speaking to a young girl who also couldn't hear me over the loud music and the manager yelling about corn cakes in the background. My daughter had to step in and yell over the music for anyone to be able to hear. This was a very unprofessional and unnecessary experience. It shouldn't be that ridiculous to come in to order a wrap with turkey and mayo on it. read more

Every time we go here they are always completely slow and lack customer service. It is happened several times and very frustrating especially when we have three little kids. I'm not asking for 100% but at least work together work as a team and go a bit faster so the line is not long. I am obsessed with Jersey Mikes. I love the #7 mikes way with mayonnaise. I could eat it EVERYDAY. This location is horrible during rush hours (lunch and dinner time). The line seems to take at least 20 minutes, its hot, and occasionally the smell is horrid. When I've come durning non peak hours and I am the only one in there everything seems to be much better. The employees are all really nice but they definitely need to work on time management and ventilating the store. read more

We love this place and have been going there for like 8 yrs!! Good locations and easy access we drive up park go in and out. Easy Peasy. Whenever we call in my order and it is always ready when they say, and it's accurate. This place is busy and yet the employees are always polite and willing to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The many times that we have dined in this place is clean and comfortable. Obviously we are there because the sandwiches taste incredible so fresh and yummy. The mini size is HUGE for me full of yummy meats and elective items. I totally love the parmesan-rosemary bread for my favorite #9 if you like roast beef! or #7 Turkey is awesome Mike's way!! I am a picky eater so they make it easy to customize the elective items. I love Jersey Mike's. I have not ventured out much during the pandemic. I was in Moorpark last week and decided to treat myself to a sandwich. I noticed all the staff had on masks EXCEPT for the girl assembling the sandwiches. I wasn't comfortable with that at all. I finally asked her, through my mask, why don't you have a mask on? She had a loose fitting bandanna around her neck with the JM logo on it. She told me it slipped down. She pulled it up. It was so loose there is no way that functions as a mask. I didn't want to be an annoying customer so I got my sandwich and left. Sad to say I won't be going back to Moorpark Jersey Mike's anymore for that reason. I sure hope a manager or owner sees this and speaks to their staff. read more

The app today said order is ready....but it wasn't. 25 minutes after ordering at 10:55 a.m. And then they'll tell you too bad, you have to wait until they finish the in-house orders...a nice long line of sandwiches and people. Huh?! And then hot-headed high school dude gives you attitude and smack talks to look cool to his peers. Not a pleasant experience. I actually had to prove to them the time I ordered. I understand it's busy... but app orders that tell you it's done and it isnt...and then they tell you too bad, wait again in long line...well, unfortunately that's not a good way to go during Covid. For the record, I ordered a mini turkey sandwich and a bag of chips, so not a big stretch. Let me start this post by saying the food here has always been pretty solid but this is the second time I have come here and been waited on by the heavy set Asian fellow that just seems to always be in a bad mood and not very good at customer service. I love the sandwiches there. My only gripe is when checking via credit card. Before you swipe your card, you have to opt in/out of adding a tip to the bill. When don't add a tip there is a bit of shaming by the staff. It feels a little bit like panhandling to me. And I'm an ex restaurant worker. This is a fast casual restaurant, not a sit down and order place. Therefore, I don't really feel like a tip is required, nor should there be a prompt prior to checkout. It doesn't stop me from going, but it does make the process a little uncomfortable. read more

Went here last night, picked up some sandwiches for my staff and myself. Didn't have a chance to eat my Reuben Pastrami sandwich so I took it home to Simi. Excellent customer service. We're experiencing hard times as a country. Sometimes people seem to forget that. The service I was given today was absolutely fantastic and these people need the recognition. Brooke, Chloe, and Josh were in the middle of a pretty big lunch rush as I walked in to pick up my mobile order. I always show up a bit past the estimated pick up time just in case things are hectic. Brooke greeted me with a smile and told me my order would be ready shortly. All 3 employees were busy as can be preparing orders. Not just the ones in line, but the mobile orders kept rolling in. They also dealt with a really rude customer and handled it with absolute grace. Brooke saw me still waiting after a bit and took it upon herself to jump on the grill and make my order. Curb side service- I ordered my food online and went to pick it up but when I got there my 2 year old daughter fell asleep on the way. I called the store and asked if they would be so kind to bring my order (with soft drinks and chips) out to the car. Without hesitation the young man, Roger, said "of course!".
