They always have friendly staff to great you when you walk in. Great little sub shop, ingredients are always fresh and the make tables are always clean. Great lower carb option is to get your sub in a tub rather than on bread, costs the same as a regular and is as filling as a giant in my opinion. Last night we ordered from the app and we were told our curbside pickup would be ready by 5:49 pm. We arrived at the Stone Hill location 1 minute early and checked in. Did not receive our food until 6:23 and that was only after my husband went inside to get it (wish I hadn't already tipped!). We were in there a little over a week ago when my son went to refill his soda and came back to tell me something was coming out of the Come spout. I went to see what it was and sure enough, a string of something black and slimy was dangling from the spout!! I cleaned it with a napkin and took it to an employee. He said "oh it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a little bit". You think? I wrote to corporate and haven't received a response. Was very excited to try out the sandwiches as my brother in law suggested I try them. Waited in line, people behind the counter very very nice folks, been there twice now and it definitely is a friendly place. I gave it 2 stars because of the sandwiches, would give it 5 for service :) They are just average, nothing to rave about. I ordered the Grilled Pastrami Reuben, it was a 4.5 out of 10, and the Chipotle Cheese-steak, same rating. I have been to NY and NJ and had a Reuben, and Philly for a Cheese-steak.......this is not that. :) If you like cheese, really like cheese and tasting nothing else, get the cheese-steak. The Reuben is hard to mess up, and they need more authentic sauerkraut. All in all, they will be busy with the new Water Park showing up, but been there twice and pretty sure that was enough. Food is okay, all meat lacks flavor making all sandwiches taste the same. Less options than other sandwich shops. The cashier automatically charges you a large drink so watch out. They make my husband's favorite sandwich so for the past 6 months I've been grabbing him once a weekend. The service has deteriorated consistently. At first I just started calling my order in so I wouldn't have to wait while they made it (very slowly). But last week, even though I called 15 minutes in advance, we still had to wait another 15 minutes in the store. And today, I called 20 minutes in advance, waited in the store for 20 minutes and was finally told no they hadn't made it yet nor did they know where that order was. We walked out. We weren't the only ones having a bad experience today - another patron told me he'd been there 30 minutes waiting on a sandwich, another woman returned hers because it was wrong. I hope the GM will pay attention and improve staffing and training soon. read more

Really like this place. I buy my employees lunch at least once a week here. Some days it's better than others but overall, really good sandwiches. The only thing I could recommend is that whoever makes the call-in stuff needs to double check their list. Stopped by over the weekend and my sub was super tasty and the staff was ridiculously friendly and nice. The bread was super soft and the meat and cheese were freshly sliced.. cookies were soft and fresh. The sizes are also very generous.. beware the large sandwich! Super impressed with the staff at this location. I went in today during their lunch rush. The place was very busy, almost no empty tables and there was a decent sized line. The guy in front of me ordered philly steak which left a bloody residue on the meat slicer.. I asked for vegetarian and without being prompted or asked , the staff member pulled apart the slicer and cleaned off all the meat residue before slicing my cheese. This was a huge deal to me because while he was slicing the meat from the previous guy I was contemplating not even getting cheese because I didn't want any meat on it. The next guy that assembled my sandwich, listened to all my special requests like radish on only this half and pickles on only that. He assembled it perfectly and with care. Up to this point this has been the best experience in a place like this.. The last employee seemed less than happy to be there and dampened the experience slightly. I tried the Chicken Parm Hot Sub with Jalapeños chips. The best part is it is hot and fresh while the worst is it's messy, soggy and difficult to eat. There is lot of variety in hot and cold with mostly red meat. Overall the subs are good the but not great. I am not a big fan of Marinara on subs and this happened to be that one, so I didn't really enjoy for it's very bland. One can try the different varieties though. read more

I've now visited this location about six (6) times in the last few months. I've always had a good experience -- no problems whatsoever. Yes, that can really bog them down during the lunch rush ... so maybe they can figure out how to speed things up even 30 seconds ... or not. Anyway, it's quite a simple menu compared to some of the other sub shops around central Texas ... and that suits me perfectly. They also have apps for iPhone and Android smartphones. The bread has always been good/fresh. Because the buns can be on the fluffier side, they can appear to overwhelm the contents. This, in my opinion, can make it appear as though you didn't get enough 'meat' or whatever. Would I like more meat (esp on the Philly subs)? Sure, but I can only assume that they (like any smart business with product/cost control) have a standard way of measuring things out. Some people may compare these Philly sandwiches to other places in the area ... and that's fine. I've lived around here my entire life and know all of these joints backwards and forwards. And while you may or may not get more meat at another shop, I'm pretty sure you're paying more for it. And some of them use a shorter bun (thereby giving you less meat & cheese). Not stating that as fact, but I've seen the prices at other shops creep up to the $8 range whereas this one is around $6.50. If it tastes good and I'm full (enough), then that's all I need. Note -- I still go to those other places at times as everyone has a different taste, etc. The employees are always friendly, engaging, and have a great attitude. And finally, one reason this place is getting my business is due to their marketing. They're regularly putting good coupons in ImpactNews. I wish I could put less than 1 star on service alone. Today I went to Jersey Mikes with my family for dinner, it was my first time there. I asked if I could get a turkey sandwich toasted instead of cold (which is a normal request of mine at any other sub shop and is perfectly fine) and instead of saying 'No I'm sorry we don't do that here' he proceeded to rudely say 'Only for pregnant women. Are you?' and the rest of the staff laughed... It was a horrifying experience as someone who has always had issues with her weight... Not to mention the sandwich was fairly mediocre, horrible experience and I will NOT be going back again. Update: I am not changing my review out of principal, but I just want to post an update; the owner of Jersey Mikes got in touch with my family less than 24 hours after our visit and personally apologized and spoke with his entire staff about customer service. He did everything and more that a person should do to make things right and I'm very impressed. He mentioned that they really do only make toasted turkey sandwiches for pregnant women who cannot eat cold sliced turkey for some reason and they must have seen it as a playful joking; that it was never meant to be hurtful, but the employee had a terrible way of putting it and making it offensive. He even tiptoed around saying that the boy who made the statement is not right in the head which is quite entertaining in my book even if its not an excuse. I still don't intend on returning, but I'm glad the owner has the heart to personally apologize and try to make it right! Pretty impressive nowadays. read more
