I went to the restaurant and saw some people complaining about waiting for a long time and still no food. I came to take order for delivery . No one asked. They only care about walk-in customers . Ok I understand because they are confused. I waited 5 minutes still no chance to ask. And when the other two customers finished asking, I asked a man because I saw a package behind him. Meh. We've eaten at JM's in Chicago and were really impressed. Figured we'd have the same experience at this one. I mean, they weren't BAD but they weren't all that great. Just...sandwiches. Sandwiches that maybe cost more than they should? We went in for lunch about a week ago during the weekend. They were busy-ish. Kept the line moving. I think the guys behind the counter who were tossing condiment bottles back and forth in an attempt to shave seconds off the task thought they looked cool, but dropping a bottle of mustard on the ground, picking it up with your gloved hand, then putting the bottle into the fridge to be used was less than impressive. In fact, it was gross and unsanitary. I got the California Club, which is turkey with avocado. I'll give them this: they didn't hold back on the avocado. That shit was oozing out all over the place. I have been to this location several times since it opened. Usually I hit it up right after the lunch rush. Today I happened to walk in right in the smack middle of lunch. Now look, I understand that this is a busy time of day, and that you can only do so much to speed a line along... but do something. there is no reason why the guy slicing the meats, should be taking orders and slicing meats. There are like 8 guys back there working... someone with a pad and pen can walk into the line, take the orders and leave the slicing guy to do his thing... you would think that for a place that has opened operations around the country since 1956 would see that and do something about it. The roast beef actually tastes like roast beef. It's delicious. And they put enough on so you can actually taste it. I don't know what the rest of their sandwiches taste like because I'm such a sucker for a good roast beef. The chip selection is pretty small but I like the cheddar and black pepper ones Ok. Terrible experience today and I'm not happy. At all. Ordered 2 sandwiches on-line. Ordered extra meat and extra cheese on both, for which we paid for. Also, pre-paid a 20% tip. Upon arrival at the scheduled pick-up time, order was not ready. Staff could not locate order. When they did, there was only 1 sandwich and it was made incorrectly. Ordered a regular but they made it a mini. No sign of second sandwich. When staff went back to grill, they located the ticket on the floor. That is when they started to make sandwich #2. We have no confidence we got what we ordered and paid for. And, this performance was not worthy of a 20% pre-paid tip. Hey there are a lot of "Sub" shops these days. These guys do it right and how you want it. The stuff is fresh and decent prices. My last visit was a bit off in that the crew seemed to be a little confused and scrambling to keep up. It might have just been that the location was new. It's been a year almost to the date since our last visit to this Jersey Mike's. What is wrong with this place. Ordered 3 subs on line, paid, and went to pick up at scheduled time. First they could not find our order, although had no problem charging my credit card. Then we are told they have no bread...no bread??? this is a flipping sandwich shop!! I just ordered at 1:13 PM a few sandwiches for pick up. Estimated time for them to be picked up was 1:28 PM. I arrived at 1:28 PM and they were not ready. I waited another 10 minutes. I called on the phone and the guy said it would be another 20 minutes from that point. He said there was a line out the door. Huge shout out to this store for reasons other than food (which is also good)! Tonight while eating at the store my mom accidentally threw away an expensive retainer. We did not realize it was missing until just before closing. One of the guys who works at the store was such a help! He let us in even though they had just closed, and when he realized the trash bag in question just went out to the dumpster he got gloves for everyone and helped my mom search. I'm really not sure why this location has such terrible reviews. I have ordered from here so many times and have all but 1 time received exceptional service. The associates are friendly and fast. The food is always fresh. Even my uber eats has never been messed up. My husband usually gets the #13 and I always get a tuna or a club and they are super tasty especially with some banana peppers. I have been to Jersey Mikes in Sarasota Florida and it was awesome. Well the location in Pflugerville is not so awesome. I ordered a Giant Famous Philly to go. When I got home and started to eat it, there wasn't hardly much meat on it at all. There was like 5-6 pieces of meat for the whole sandwich for $11.00, which is ridiculous for a lot of bread. They had three people at this location as opposed to two in La Frontera location. Neither one had a system down and customers waiting. Seems like Jersey Mike's has some major training issues in this area. Not sure if they are owned by the same franchise, but they need help. I am a very patient person, but very frustrated that I tried two locations this evening and struck out. I am very disappointed in Jersey Mike's and plan to contact their home office. What a night. Up here in Burb'ville, we don't have many options, so anything we get, we automatically pray its good! Ugh. It did NOT do it for me. I ordered the Philly Cheese-steak.. and while it did have a decent amount of cheese and meat, it was _very_ boring. It ended up going thin with each bite, and just a bore to finish. Wow. I could let me feelings get the best of me, but I'll just state the facts calmly. The staff that was there at ~7:30pm on 04/25/22 stunned me. Are they the example of today's young people? The teenage girls that were working were too busy arguing about which task they didn't want to do instead of tending to the line of customers that were waiting in the restaurant. One girl said "There's nobody even in here!" as there were multiple people still waiting. They were forgetting peoples food orders and their behavior solidified they probably didn't care anyway. I really like the concept of this sub shop, I always get the original Italian "mikes way" or a sub in a tub (no bread). Always great sandwiches, the subs on the grill take a while to make and I would recommend getting a size bigger because they seem smaller when they wrap them up. The parking lot is not very big and it can be very hard to park especially if you drive a bigger vehicle. Also it can get very busy and take some time to get your sandwich. read more
