This is one of my son's favorite restaurants so we are here quite frequently. While the prices are a bit high when compared to similar places, the quality is also higher than average so it mostly balances out. The shopping plaza it's in is a moribund after losing the K-Mart and the Harris Teeter but there are still a few good reasons to go there and Jersey Mike's is one of them! (Also Red Pepper Asian and the Thieves Market Mall if you are interested...) At least this makes parking pretty simple. I've already mentioned the prices a being a bit of negative. You will easily spend $10+ per person without evening trying. On the plus side, however, you get fresh breads, meat and cheese deli-sliced in front of you and an excellent hot grill for those of you who love cheese steaks as much as I do! My wife and son usually go for the vegetarian (but all provolone with no Swiss) while my mother-in-law shares my love of the cheese steak subs (sometimes going for the spicier Chipotle Cheese Steak). On the non-food side: As has been mentioned, the service can slow down when they are busy. Also the loyalty program is based around you remembering your phone# and not carrying around a card or requiring an app. I've always gotten excellent service with the only real problem was sometimes it got a bit loud and I had time hearing the food prep guy. All-in-all, a worthwhile place to eat at if you don't mind spending a little more for that quality! read more

I try to be considerate as anyone working in the food industry deserves love for what they can deal with on the regular but this place has always let us down. You can order food an hour in advance online, it says it'll be ready at a certain time, and it still takes an extra 30 minutes when you arrive at the time they say it's ready? Cmon. Just tell me it'll be later, don't tell me it's ready at 6 and I don't get it until 7. Unfortunately we've given this place plenty of chances as we enjoy Jersey Mike's but they never have it together and it's usually a pretty annoying experience every time we go. read more

I love jersey mikes, my family and I go any chance we get. We do a lot of driving so we've visited close to a dozen different locations, but this particular location is the only one we've ever had issues with. Frequent issues on top of that. Incorrect orders multiple times, hair in the food (on a day that wasn't even busy), over an hour wait time most times, and a lot of confusion over the orders. I understand this location is very busy most times but some improvements could definitely be made to make this location at least half as pleasant as other jersey mikes locations... I'll be driving a bit out of my way to visit the knightdale location instead from here on out. read more

The professionalism and cleanliness of this restaurant needs some work! I went in spending $35 on subs my order was made wrong and asked for it to be remade. The young lady yells out to the back just pick the toppings off. I then asked for a refund and the man at the counter was extremely rude from the first encounter not a pleasant atmosphere I recommend finding a different location to get a fresh sub from with nicer employees. We've been going to this JM for years. Today i popped in before work. When I was walking in a homeless man was following me to the store, asking for a ride to Smithfield. (I was alone, also female) I asked the guy who was at the register to watch my back while I walked to my truck, I told him what was going on and how i was a little uncomfortable about it. He walked me to my vehicle and made sure I was in my truck safe before walking off. On top of that, they dudes who made my sub were all super nice, and quick. I was in and out within 5 minutes. This is the best Jersey Mike's I've been to in North Carolina. While the sandwiches taste the same, more or less, from location to location, what sets this one apart from the rest is the customer service. They appear to be somewhat family run, and much of the staff has been there for years. They are good to remember customer's names, and even when they are slammed busy, they can process people through pretty quick with no loss of quality. While this shopping center is almost dead due to the loss of the KMart, by itself this Jersey Mike's location is alive and kicking! read more

What to say that hasn't already been mentioned... Overview: Very odd location, tucked in the corner of a deserted strip mall. You wouldn't know it by how busy they were, had to wait for about 12mins to order. Service is friendly, very type A but a pleasant change from your typical stoner sandwich chef or the "what am I doing with my life". These people actually seem to enjoy their work. I appreciate that. The sandwiches aren't that great. I really don't see how this place is getting 5 star reviews. It's ok bread, with processed meat (so what if they 'freshly' slice it in front of you), and topped with thawed vegetables. 5 stars?? Really?? What do you people eat that is less than 5 stars??? I had the tuna this last go around, but have had the turkey and BLT before. All of them were pretty nondescript. The tuna was bland, a little dry (old?) and just too much. To top it off, they are a little on the pricey side for what you get. I don't mind paying a little more, but I certainly expect better quality. I'll stick to the Lunch Box. read more

I received some of the rudest service I have ever had at your store, and it was my first time in. I sent an email of my experience and have never heard back. Thanks for completely ignoring your customers! I'm posting here, but I notice you ignore reviews as well. I told the man making the sandwiches after I ordered the first sandwich that I had 3 more sandwiches to order. He replied nastily, "Well, I'm standing here ain't I?!" It didn't get any better than that, when he yelled at me for ordering a sandwich off of the grill, when he asked if all the other sandwiches were cold. I didn't realize that the veggie wrap was grilled ,as I was reading off a text message from my families orders and it was my first time there. He berated me. I told him I was sorry that I had made a mistake. I really should have left, but because I was placing a group order I stayed. I noticed the man was not as rude to the male customers behind me. I certainly cannot recommend this place, especially to women. He mumbled throughout the entire order and I couldn't make out what toppings/fixings I could get on the hot sandwiches. We were recently in Raleigh, NC for my youngest daughters Fine Arts Competition. In between sets we hurriedly stopped in. The building was packed. We thought about leaving, however the line was moving rather quickly. My daughter and wife split a Turkey Wrap which was the special for the day. I had a flavorful and juicy Philly Cheese steak. None of the employees were wearing masks correctly (not covering nose) in store. Employee scoffed when I told him to cover nose then make flippant remark to other employees about my request. They don't seem to care about preventing a highly infectious respiratory illness and are handling your food. I've been to this location in person before and have never had a great interaction with a staff member yet (normally it's not necessarily bad but they just seem bored as hell and don't care that you're there) but a recent interaction takes the cake. This took place on the evening of Sat March 28th at 8pm. I was trying to do a pickup order on their app and it was supposed to be 50% off everything but wasn't giving the discount for whatever reason so I called to do the order over the phone. The guy who answered was not at all friendly, I asked if sandwiches were 50% off over the phone too because the app wasn't working properly and he rudely snapped at me that they have nothing to do with the app and that it's full price on the phone and in person. Fair enough about the app (and understandable for not getting the deal) but you don't have to be rude about it. We tried to place our order over the phone but he kept making us repeat the order. There was rap music playing loudly in the background and finally he just yelled to someone else to "turn it the f**k down" and at that point I just canceled the order and ended the call. It was bad enough before but have some respect and professionalism. Also, they only had white bread left as we tried two other choices first. This is during the coronavirus time so it's understandable that there is probably a lack of variety, assuming that's even the reason. I've been there in the past on random normal nights and they were out of multiple items so doesn't feel like these were isolated issues. I won't return to this location at all. read more

If this was my first visit to Jersey Mike's, I would not return. I normally visit the location in Cary; however, I was on this side of town and decided to stop in. The food quality was okay; however, the amount of meat put on the sandwich was embarrassing. They only put 1/4 the amount of meat as the Cary store does. If you really enjoy bread with a few toppings then this is definitely your place. If you want some meat on your sub, then I would advise you to visit a different location. read more

We got a coupon for a free sandwich in the mail, so we decided to go try it out. We had a dickens of a time finding the place. There's a whole shopping center set back from New Bern Avenue that's hard to spot unless you're looking for it. The subs here were okay, but nothing special. It seemed a little bit more expensive than a Subway, and not much different in quality. Maybe the sub was a little bit bigger. Subway has more choice of breads. If I'm in the area, I might eat here again, but this wasn't someplace I'd go out of my way to find. read more

The BEST Jersey Mike's I've visited!!! The next closest is on Wake Forest Rd. This Jersey Mike's location has been here for many years, I never knew. I grew up not far from here and went to Kmart when they were open. The food is always spectacular and the employees are the best. They bang out the subs in minutes and don't mind creating that unique sub for you. It's not a choice, it's a lifestyle (copyrighted).
