They slice everything fresh, although the taste is the same as any other sub shop. They have "Mike's way" which is a special topping combination that not many people seem to get. I ordered a Club supreme #9, when asked if I wanted it Mike's way, I said NO. The employee (female with blue hair) started slopping vinegar on my sandwich. I stopped her and said I wanted fresh bread because the vinegar makes the bread soggy. she wanted to argue with me stating the vinegar didn't get on the bread. I insisted on getting fresh bread, finally she gave me fresh bread with a nasty attitude. She finished making my sandwich, wrapped it, and literally dropped it in the bag. Over the past few years, I've become a fan of Jersey Mike's. I usually go for the #9 with no bacon, and it's my go to sub. Even though this locations not my primary one, it was still an enjoyable experience. Walking in, I was greeted and I was able to place my order within a few minutes of being there. My sub came out perfect, and they made my sub perfectly. I always get this sub with no bacon, and that's important to me. The location's clean and seems well maintained. This was my first time at a Jersey Mike's and I really liked it. I was visiting this area for the weekend for a concert and my fiancé and I needed some lunch, something quick, so they suggested this place, and I had never been, I wasn't sure what to expect. There were a lot of different options on the menu, but we stuck with the turkey and provolone sub, the regular sized sub and it fed us both, and we had it Mike's way, with the juice. I love the flavour of the oil and vinegar together, it's honestly the best way to have a sub. Next time, I am going to add some more toppings, to try something different! The employees there were all really nice and helpful too. There were two kids there it looked like it was their first week and they were excited to be working there, asked us if we wanted our sub Mike's Way and wanted any other toppings! I visit this Wabash and Rochester Rd. Jersey Mikes somewhat regularly. I typically place my orders in the app to pick up. This most recent visit I went inside to order and it was busy for lunch time. The guy taking our order was Mark and he was so friendly and upbeat! He was thorough when taking our order, cared about my mom's Celiac Disease, and repeated our order to ensure he had it down right. The cashier was in training and did a good job with help from who I assume is the manager. Honestly, everyone we spoke to was really friendly. My only issue was we received the wrong subs. We ordered 2 Chipotle Cheesesteaks and received 2 Chipotle CHICKEN Cheesesteaks. Still tasty, but not what we ordered and I was looking forward to the steak one. I know Mark took the order correctly, but I'm guessing the people at the grill must have misread his handwriting or something. Our 3rd sub was made correctly, so no problems there. I will probably just order from the app moving forward, but I am not deterred by this incident as it was the first time it's ever happened with them. I will say, the app is very limited in what you can do to customize the subs. So if you want to make a change on the sub, order in store. As a sweet treat, I bought their classic chocolate chip cookie. It was good, but nothing special. I appreciate that it was not overly sweet and is a decent size. The Udi's gluten free snickerdoodle was dry, crumbly, and rather sweet. Next time I'll probably try the brownie. I prefer Jersey Mikes over Subway and Jimmy Johns, so I will definitely be back. read more

Hand down, they make the best tasting Philly Steak & Cheese sub I've ever had in Michigan

Jersey Mike's is one among the tons of chains and mom & pop sub shops. This was my first experience ever and just FYI if it's a chain, my ratings tended to be weighted similar to fast food (so 3 stars could be considered like a four star if Jersey Mike's was a full-service restaurant). Like some sub places, they have both cold and hot subs. At places like Subway, I tend to go for cold cuts a lot more so I was feeling something hot especially since the Super Bowl was on that night. I ordered one #42 Chipotle Chicken Cheese Steak (Regular w/all the Default toppings). It's a regular sized sub that costs $8.05. I try to get the meals with deals so I had a $2 off coupon. The regular size is 8'' which they don't do a good job of listing as is the price unless you try to order online to figure it out. The sandwich was very tasty with onion and peppers. It's a little messy but it's a good quantity especially if you have coupons or some other deal. I want to keep trying every new sub shop I can find and if you're a sub aficionado, you have to try a hot sub and a cold sub from Jersey Mike's before forming an opinion. read more

Fresh bread = fresh yum! This was my first visit to this chain. I enjoyed the #56 Big Kahuna cheese steak and added Chipotle mayo and cherry pepper relish! The bread was fresh with a nice chew. Held up very well to the moist steak and cheese. The steak was super tender. I'm excited to go back and try a traditional Italian sub. They have red-wine vinegar and oil that is supposed to be super yum. The inside was extremely clean, and staff very pleasant. I'm not sure it has a different 'niche' than say Dibellas Old Fashion subs, or other shops. They have some wraps which sound yummy, and aren't in the mainstream sub shops. Workers were extremely kind, but other than that I don't have anything else good to say. As someone who works with food I work with the motto "make others food as if it's your own". The staff at this location proved to me that our thoughts don't aline. It's one thing to be very busy and rushed to make food, but when I'm one of three people in the restaurant I'd expect you to at least put the slightest care into making my food, but no. When putting the meat on my sandwich it was very sloppy with half of it not even being between the bread. Along with this, the topping were also sloppily plopped on the sandwich, making the whole thing look awful. (Just a little tid-bit, when you rush peoples food it comes off as you wanting to get them the heck out of your store, which isn't a great feeling as a paying consumer). Please don't reach out and try to compensate me. I do not plan on coming back to any location. I probably would've had better luck at subway and that's saying a lot. read more

Better than most chains in the area. They are always fast and efficient when making the subs. Sometimes they can be a bit too quick when doing the toppings. This is basically the sub sandwich equivalent of "Jake's Wayback Burgers" (see my review on that): not a commonplace Subway of Jimmy John's clone, nor a factory of oversized monstrosities like Dibella's, but a strong middle-tier candidate. They're genuine, solid, and faithful, much like the geyser. They make a mean Italian sub, and they cut up the meat right there, which is nice to see and makes me feel better about what I'm eating. Though you can customize what you want on it, they'll often ask you if you want it "Mike's way" (basically everything, much like Jake's across the street). What an amazing lunch delight! - Fresh and Fast! - Great Variety - You can get anything as a "sub-in-a-tub" (salad) I'll start off by saying my favorite here is the "99 plus Cherry Pepper Relish". This sub of greatness is a hybrid of the Big Kahuna (#56 - steak and cheese with onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños and extra cheese) and the Chipotle Steak (#43 steak and cheese with onions, peppers and chipotle mayo). The steak and toppings are always cooked perfectly, and the jalapeños and cherry pepper relish add the right amount of heat. Today, I got the #6 Famous Roast Beef and Provolone as a sub-in-a-tub. I subbed Swiss for the Provolone and got the tub with onion, tomato, pickle and that awesome cherry pepper relish. This combination was also fantastic. The relish mixed just right with the roast beef and Swiss to make a nice refreshing (albeit HUGE) salad. The staff is always nice here, and they know how to push out a great product. You can get any sub as a wrap or salad, and this place uses the freshest of ingredients. Take it from a regular... try anything here, and you won't be disappointed. read more

My husband and I started going to this Jersey Mikes when it opened. We have always had beyond great service! Nolan, especially, is genuinely kind and friendly. He is always the happiest guy and very social. He makes you feel like he truly enjoys his job and seeing you in the shop! The service is what keeps us coming back! The food is great and fresh. Super fresh bread. I had a Philly which was really, really good - grilled fresh to order with lots of cheese and mushrooms. I saw them make other subs and from what I saw, they sliced their meat fresh to order. The guy in front of me ordered Provolone, which they sliced and slapped directly on his sub.
