While not earth-shattering, it did leave a bad taste in my mouth due to the lack of professionalism. I will treat this as a sort of one-time thing, but maybe you should give yourself some extra time if you order on the phone or app. #66 Portabella Cheese Steak: 4.5/5 I've never been to Philadelphia or eaten a "real" cheese steak before, but I imagine that it is not too far off from the one created at Jersey Mike's. The serving of steak is generous with well-cooked veggies. The onions are nicely caramelized and lend a sweetness to the overall dish, the peppers are fresh and add another layer of flavor, and the mushrooms are deeply savory and deepen the umami of the overall sandwich. The American cheese they use is very mild and sort of sauces the whole dish as it melts into the natural juices of the steak, acting as a cohesive glue both in structure and flavor. The gentleman looked at it and just said it doesn't tell me anything and walked away from my son. Not even an offer to check. This is so rude to treat a customer (teenager) like that. Normally I have had great/friendly experiences at this location, however today, there was a sour, snotty attitude going on. I ordered a chicken philly...I stood to the side as I knew it would take longer to make, but what I didn't know is that they just make it and wrap it up. When they handed it to me, I asked, what about the condiments and they said "We just make it as is...like it says up there" and pointed to the menu. When I have ordered it in the past, I always got to add condiments on it....but this time not so much. I was a little disappointed and said well for next time can I get condiments....as I was walking away...and the guy making the sandwiches said "have a nice day" being a total snott! Then I got in my car to eat, as I am a on the road, in sales and not only was my sandwich not cut...all the chees was on one side. I like Jersey Mike's. I always order the #2, Jersey Shore's Favorite with Ham and Cappaculo. I get the mini size because it's enough for me. At $5.50, it may seem a little high but it's a better sandwich than that other chain. Now, it's not the best sandwich I've had but for a "fast" sandwich, it's great. The downside here is a line that moves pretty slow. But I've been ordering and paying on the app. They give you a pickup time, you walk to the back register, and they will hand you your sandwich. I don't know what's in it but it seemed like an extensive philly cheesesteak. It was really good! Lots of flavor and oozy cheese throughout. Chipotle Cheesesteak (in a wrap) - I love everything in a tortilla wrap. I got this without cheese. I know, a cheesesteak without cheese...weird. But I really wanted to taste the meat rather than have it masked by the cheese. I also added lettuce. The meat was well seasoned but just a little dry since it was thinly sliced. This is one of the best Jersey Mike's that I have been to. The store and restrooms are always clean and even when there is a line, it moves quickly because they are well organized. I love the Big Kahuna Cheese- steak. There is lots of seating indoors and out, and easy parking in the large shopping center in which they are located. read more

My little one has been obsessed with Jersey Mike's so we've started coming. But we are still new and I don't know the menu well or know what "Mike's way means". Tonight I had an extra kid with me and when I walked in there was no one there. I was trying to figure out sandwiches to feed 5 people instead of our usual 4. I took an extra couple more minutes to figure out what to get. In the meantime 5 new customers walked in. The staff rushed me to the next step of toppings and at that point I had only told them two of the three breads. Next thing I know she's already taking the order for the person behind me which was one hot and one cold sandwich. When the toppings part finished I said I need one more sandwich. They were all surprised. Not once did she say "would that be all", she just went on to the person behind me. And I'm too new there to realize I'm losing my chance at ordering our third sandwich. They seemed all annoyed. She had just barely grabbed their cold sub bread and while she was cutting it she said I'll make yours after this. So she made me wait until they finished the cold sub for person behind me (mind you they ended up waiting longer than me to get their hot sub) so her tactic only made me feel she was punishing me for not ordering it the first time. There's no sign that says after these 4 inches of table you can't order your bread and if you do you'll be in the back of the line. The toppings guys was rude too. He said what do you want on it and I said "everything" and he said "I don't know what that means do you want everything you see here". And I said I don't know what Mike's way means so back at you. Even though my young one loves it I won't be coming. I'll make her the ham and lettuce myself. And if you are the female employee and you're reading this. I was the person in scrubs after a long day of work too and picking up my friend's kid to help her out. So please be patient with people still learning the menu and who don't know your hidden rules of order bread now or forever hold your peace. Came here for lunch with my parents after walking the PQ Fiesta. We won some coupons from the Jersey Mikes booth at the street fair, and since my parents have never been to JMs, this was the perfect opportunity for me to take them there. There was a long line to order sandwiches but there were about a handful of employees working behind the counter. The employees are helpful and very friendly. Stellar service as always. The day we came there was a lot of customers because of the street fair. I ordered 2 kids meals with turkey and cheese and a Philly cheesesteak for my dad. Any of the hot sandwiches do take a while to prepare and expect a wait. My mom and I already finished our meals when my dad got his sandwich. I do have to admit though that his sandwich was fresh, hot and delicious. The cookies they sell as bomb. Chocolate chip and peanut butter are my favorite. Jersey Mike's is my favorite sandwich chain (my reviews are almost always four stars because of their consistency), but my recent visit here didn't mirror the good experiences I've had at other locations. We were commuting up and stopped here to get a quick dinner. It was an hour before closing, but there was a long line of customers who had the same idea as us. We ended up standing in that line for about 20 minutes, unusual for a brand like this one, even on busy days at prime lunch hour. They were understaffed (only 2 employees working the shift) and apparently low on supplies as well. After we put our order in (#9 Club Supreme), they told us there wasn't any bacon left, just as they were finishing up the sandwich. In lieu of the bacon, they offered any other deli meat on the menu. We took up that offer, but for anyone who appreciates a Club Sub or Club Supreme, the bacon aside from Mike's Way is what makes the sandwich; it just isn't the same to substitute something else. The sub was fine, but we would have appreciated an earlier courtesy of an absent ingredient so we could adjust our order accordingly rather than settle with paying more for what we get. read more

I don't know what happened to me but over the last two months I've been to two different Jersey Mike's and have enjoyed their sandwiches. I visited a JM awhile back and found their subs to be mediocre at best. I recently found this location. They're located in the PQ shopping center (right off the 56 fwy). They're REALLY tucked away so look for Time Warner cable and you'll be able to find them a lot quicker. This store is clean and inviting. Plenty of tables and I like how they have 2 flat screen tvs. You walk up to counter, place your order, and watch them make it for you. I ordered the CA Club. It's not on the menu for some reason but it has turkey, cheese, bacon, avocado. You can get it "Mike's Way" which consists of onions, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Vinegar, Oil and Spices (any combination gladly accepted). You choose from small, regular, or giant size. I got the giant size for $12.95. It easily feeds 3 people in my opinion. Few comments about this sandwich: - they slice the turkey meat right in front of you - the avocado is more of an avo spread vs slices of fresh avo (the avo spread does appear freshly made though) - bacon here is CRISPY CRISPY CRISPY : I can't get enough of it ...which sucks b/c on the Giant size sub they only gave me maybe 4 slices...boo - they REALLY douse the sub w/ alot of red vinegar so if you dislike vinegar, you might take heed to this The people that work here are nice. The girl who took my order knew I was going to save the other half of the sub to take home so she recommended doing Mike's Way on only one half of the sub (so the bread wouldn't be soggy later on). 'Brilliant my dearest' , I kept thinking in my head. So that was really kind of her. And there's this one kid that works there - Joe (?) - he's so young, happy, and helpful - makes me sad that one day he might be disgruntled and miserable like the rest of us after a few years of working. One major thing I was disappointed with was that NO ONE mentioned to me about their Rewards program. I guess you get points for every sandwich you get. I heard other customers giving out their phone #'s to cashier (?) and wasn't really sure why. But I guess you use your phone # to log in your sub purchases. So yeah - they should make it a habit to ask customers if they're enrolled in this Rewards program. Otherwise, this is a nice location and I've come to really enjoy their subs! read more

I always get these subs from work, but needed something to eat. So I decided to drop into Jersey Mikes, and at frost I was a bit hesitant because a regular was like $8! Quality counts, and if you're looking for a quick meal but not cheap quality, this is the place! I could live on their turkey and provolone sandwiches. I have been a fan of Jersey Mike's since I moved to San Diego. I have been going to the Mira Mesa one for a long time. Now that this place has opened up across the street from my house, I am super excited! This Jersey Mike's Subs, in particular, is larger than the Mira Mesa one. There is more indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, there are two sub-making areas so if it gets super busy, two lines are started. All in all, I highly recommend this place! P.S.
