For my 1st review of 2026 I decided to try somewhere I had drove past before but never thought to check out the Sandwich Blvd. Since I like to dive down the highway I got a PCH #5 sandwich which is a sirloin Philly Cheesesteak sandwich and some fries, the owner I'm guessing was nice and friendly and I looked around and the store was clean and nice looking. My order did not take long to make because it seemed like it was 5 minutes after I sat down I my food was read i smiled politely and went to my car and drove home. The fries were still nice and hot and the 1st bite into my sandwich melted in my mouth the bread was so soft it was kinda like it Hawaiian bread but it wasn't and the meat was so tender and tasty. I'm mad at myself for not taking a picture before I ate it all I wasn't even thinking about a picture because it was just that good this give me a reason to go back , and the prices are affordable I think the sandwich and fries was like $20 so I can wait to go back again!! read more

Haven't been here since pre-COVID times and usually I would have it delivered via DoorDash. The Torrance was my go-to, but I decided to try the Hawthorne sandwich a try and I enjoyed it. This was also my husband's first time trying this place out and he got the Western sandwich. He also enjoyed it. It is a bit on the pricey side with a sandwich costing $13-$15, not including sides or a drink. There was only one person working at the time we went. She was very nice. We waited a little bit for our food; about 10-15 minutes. The restaurant was empty and very clean. They also were selling shirts at a cheap price. I think this is an underrated sandwich spot that I would stop at if I am in the area. It was pretty good in terms of taste and quality, and it is a good little spot to visit. Definitely recommend, but be advised of the price and sides needing to be ordered separately. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and ordered the Torrance. It was so darn good. I would describe it as an elevated Philly cheesesteak. The meat was super soft and flavorful, cheese was plentiful, and bread to meat ratio was on point. The best part about the sandwich is that the sandwich is on a French baguette Banh mi, and so soft that I even ate the ends of the bread. If you read my reviews you know I can't have hard or extra chewy foods cause of this, and I usually cut the ends or tear off and throw away the ends of a baguette but it's so good and soft here! First time here and probably be my last unless in a pinch. I got the "Carson" which is advertised as turkey, avocado, bacon, ranch spread, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and mayo. I'm allergic to avocado so I asked if I can sub it out for something else. I was told that I would have to pay extra for substitutions unless I wanted extra lettuce. That just rubbed me the wrong way. Avocado is an expensive ingredient and I think to add an extra slice of bacon or turkey as a courtesy would be a comparable substitute. When I got it back to my office about 5 minutes later (as I work around the corner), I opened the bag to only to be greeted by a soggy mess. Sandwich was lathered in mayo and ranch dressing. This was further excerbated by shredded lettuce that was probably rinsed but not properly drained and dried. Turkey was bland and overall there was nothing redeeming about the sandwich. I really liked the Carson sandwich, it had fresh lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, the turkey, avocado, bacon, all meshed together on a soft French bread, very well done cold sandwich. The bread had a slight chew but very fluffy on the inside and a semi crispy exterior. For me, I look at price vs value, for 1 sandwich for $12, is very steep. I would expect to pay that amount at a sit down restaurant, $12 for the sandwich is over priced. For that specific price, it needed more: -avocado chunks that a simple thin spread on the bread -needed more red onions -needed more bacon I added cucumber for $1, a few thin slices, the sandwich should automatically come with it. I loved the sandwich great flavors but it really should be $7-8, not $13 that also did not include a side or a drink, maybe if it did, it would be worth it but it's not. Next door is another restaurant that sells banh mi, they have it priced at $8, that's cheaper than $12 but even banh mi should of been $5-6. Maybe Torrance is just too expensive. read more

Feeling very disgusted. Restaurant looked clean and the staff was friendly. There were two men sitting together waiting for their food, not crowded at all but my sandwich still took a little longer than I expected. It was not properly wrapped in the paper, bread exposed, but the biggest issue which is turning my stomach is that the sandwich was dripping and a piece of hair fell out with it. If that wasn't enough, the bread was hard and there was a fingerprint on top from the avocado. I will never go back, even if it was free. read more

But what you don't know is there's an art to crafting a delicious & satisfying sandwich, & that's where Sandwich Blvd comes in. I had this place flagged awhile back when I was going through a sandwich phase... because I was too busy with work to make a hot meal so I was making a quick bite to eat = sandwiches. This restaurant is located in a small retail plaza off busy Western Blvd. that contains a car wash, 7-Eleven, & a couple of restaurants with a decent amount of parking. From the outside, it's pretty non-descript with a plain looking green street sign; the inside is compact & bright with no-frills decor & a bright green wall being the focal point by the order counter. Still under COVID-19 lockdown, all the furniture is stacked & pushed aside in the dining room, =( but they have patio seating should you choose to dine onsite. =) Their safety measures are on par with social distancing standards: staff wears masks, contactless payment, hand sanitizer provided, outdoor seating. Based on their namesake, they specialize on sandwiches from traditional to fusion sandwiches. The current menu is more limited than its heyday. I called in my order, & chose TORRANCE (Korean marinated ribeye steak, American & provolone cheeses, bell peppers, white onions, spicy mayo), which I think is a twist on the Philly cheesesteak, with an order of FRENCH FRIES & a drink (free with Yelp check-in). The server has a pleasant voice... friendly & very polite. =) I liked that my sandwich was still warm & the bread was still toasty by the time I got home. The French roll was surprisingly tasty, & you can tell it was made in-house by its taste & texture. If you prefer something other than their fresh roll, they also offer a spinach wrap, flour wrap, or a lettuce bowl aka "protein style." The ribeye was tender & flavorful, skewing to the salty side, with perfectly melted cheeses, grilled onions & bell peppers, & the spicy mayo added a nice l'il kick. The ratio of filling:bread is just right... it was a most unctuous & delish sandwich! The fries didn't stand out in any particular way, but they were crispy like the way I like them. The portion was quite skimpy (barely a couple of oz.), especially for the price, like the sandwich; it might have been worth it if they filled the container a little bit more. Counter service was friendly & polite... she was too nice that she even offer my son a cookie... my l'il guy's lucky day! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They offer free deliveries on the weekdays with a $20.00 min. order & if you live within a 2-mi. radius; I'm just 1/4-mi. outside of that range. Torrance Tacos for $7 & Tater Tot Tacos for $6 (comes in a pack of 3 mini corn tortilla tacos), served while supplies last. Prices are on the higher side in terms of portion size, not quite the bang for your buck; however, the sandwiches are quite tasty that will have you craving for more! I'm a sucker for buffalo wings and I just love the 190th... More sauce please! I'll be back to try the tuna soon! We were just picking up our rental next door and found this hidden gem! If you're looking for your typical Italian sandwich with deli meats (turkey and salami) and banana peppers, this is the sandwich for you. While I enjoyed the contents inside the sandwich, I wish the bread was a bit crispier and softer. There wasn't the same crunch I usually get from a sandwich like Bay Cities. It's tough to compare the two but all in all, this is a decent sandwich shop if you're looking for a quick bite. We also got an order of tater tots and they were so bad. Wanted something light and a sandwich felt like good snack. This place did not disappoint! The restaurant was clean and there was ample seating indoor and a few chairs and tables outside. The customer service was standard - took our order quick and received our food quick. Although, they forgot to include the add-on of avocado, and gave it to us in a little cup. I ordered the Carson on ciabatta and subbed spicy mayo for ranch. The bread was extremely soft, probably the freshest ciabatta I've had. Seriously the guy who came minutes after me for his order before I got mine! So frustrating because I asked if my order was coming and they girl kept saying it's coming up now and called the guys name making me believe that was my order! I have been a customer here since they opened. Their food is way over priced, tasty most of the time, but the ingredients are low quality and cheap. They get cheaper by the year. Cutting corners will kill your business. You know what else will bring your business to an end: Their customer service by the owners and management. The owner always looks angry and if you say Hey how's it going or need to ask him something he just grunts ugh and ignores you. Or looks down at you like you're some alien from outer space. This last time I ordered over the phone and the girl who answered (I'm guessing the other owner or relative of grunting rude guy) answers the phone as though it's a chore to speak to a live person. I ask her for the sandwich that most resembles the Philly Cheesesteak and she says very quickly (can't even understand her) yeah yeahyeah yeah yeahyeah, the PCH. I say the what? Does it have the steak? YES she yells at me. I it's the PCH - Is that all you want?! I don't know what they call it on the menu but she didn't have to speak to me that way. She literally says uh duh YEAH the PCH! and scoffs at me. Like how dare not know the stupid names of our sandwiches. The employee a Latina women was very nice and took care of me. I can't remember her name. But she saved the whole terrible situation. I also witnessed the male owner being rude and lowballing these contractors who came in to discuss whatever it was they were fixing for him in his space. He was behaving entitled and speaking to them condescendingly. Parking is a royal pain as they share it was the car wash, car rental place and a very busy 7-11. Meet me on the corner of amazing and delicious! Those are the cross streets in flavor town! Lol my trucking route took me in that area today. I was in the mood for a cold sandwich because it was hot. But based on the reviews and photos, that Torrance sandwich grabbed my attention. Had to try it for myself. Off top, the place is clean and the service is great. Food was ready fast during lunch so that's a plus. The ingredients are simple. Veggies, sauce, cheese and meat. But the real winner here was how they put it together and made it so bomb! $10 ain't bad either. Quality meat and taste here. I've paid $14 for some smut sandwich places before that over salt their food and just plain awful. But here at sandwich blvd, they brought the A game! I'm definitely impressed and I'm coming back to explore the menu if I'm in the area. Shout out to Tina for walking up to me as I left. I complimented the cashier and cook before heading out. This place has been around for awhile. I used to work at office building near by so would order time to time. however today will be my last visit. Although the owner always looks mad and not that polite I really cared less. However today I ordered a simple sandwich online and went to pick it up. was left standing for almost 20 minutes w/o any apology or an idea how much longer the food will take. My order ready time was 12:07 but food came out at 12:18. I asked the girl in the front if the kitchen even started making my food because if not i just want to cancel it. the girl replies "of course they are making your food" seriously.. didn't even want to waste any further of my breath with this girl who left her brain at home... Does a making a sandwich begin with kneading the bread for the banquette??????? Why does it take that long to make one??? This is very small for a $12 sandwich. The Carson is supposed to be like a turkey BLTA, but barely had enough turkey and barely any bacon or avocado. The avocado was also not very fresh and had brown pieces in it. I thought I'd give this place a try hoping they would be good. As you can tell it's only 9 inches and so skinny that it makes the tape measure look wide. It was also very cold and hard. I would expect a sandwich like this to at least have toasted the bread, maybe with the provolone cheese even. I would not recommend coming here for a good sandwich. Very disappointing. read more

Parking was bad, I was able to park at a ten minute takeout order spot at the front of the restaurant and the rest of the lot was full.
