The arrival of a Jersey Mike's to Washington is a boon to all those who enjoy a giant sub. They don't have the craziest selection of meats/cheeses, but they slice them in front of you and put them together into large, delicious sandwiches. Their lettuce, onions, and tomatoes are always fresh, and they have a number of condiment options for you to use. I've eaten many of their subs, both hot and cold, and have yet to be disappointed. They make their own roast beef in-store, so that's a big plus, but I'm usually a #13 (an Italian with 5 meats on it) man myself. The chipotle chicken philly is my favorite when I want something hot. Spend the money (a $12 giant sub is more than enough for two) and buy a good sandwich instead of Subway. read more

I have never experienced such poor customer service at an establishment in my life. I frequented the Jersey Mike's Store #28022 (Waugh Chapel) and the employees were obnoxiously rude, unprofessional and condescending. There are way too many young adults employed here and not busy as they were standing around talking. As I was placing my 3 orders, the employee making my subs became highly agitated that I had special requests with these sandwiches. As she was making the 1st sub, she saturated my sub with too much oil; the 2nd she added cheese when I specifically stated NO cheese; and the 3rd, I asked that NO tomato be added and the person at the register just laughed in my face and insisted that the sub was not my order since I asked for the sub to be toasted. It was quite apparent the employee did not listen fully to my requests, nor did they care that my order was accurate. Basically, they made it seem like I was a bother to come in and place my orders. I felt humiliated and not very respected as someone who could pass as any of these teens parent. The behavior they displayed is not only inexcusable, but unacceptable to the point someone should be fired. If this behavior continues, I am sure more complaints will be filed, and this store may very well get shut down. read more

Brand spanking new location in the Costco plaza. Staff is very friendly and wants to get you out the door quick. Be sure to sign up for the Shore Card to get free subs (after you buy like a hundred of course). I find some of their meats very bland so I tend to always get the giant sub club- like yes its almost $20 but you get some fo now and some fo later. My only pet peeve is that they always ask if I want bacon on my sandwhich- like bruh its a club- if I didn't want bacon I would've order a turkey sandwich. read more

This is the #1 sandwich chain in the nation as far as I'm concerned, and there aren't too many I haven't tried. I like the fact that they slice the cold cuts to order, right in front of you. The "mike's way" style of finishing the sub makes it easier than having to name everything you want on it. Besides most of that stuff is what I would already put on my sub anyway, especially the oil and red wine vinegar. They just know how to put the right amount of meat, cheese, lettuce, and condiments etc so that the sandwiches are well balanced. read more

I love jersey mike's just not this specific location . Walked in and the store smelled like someone peed all over the place. One table had the children of the employees . While I was trying to place my order the employee would ignore what I was saying to yell at her children . And her children were coming up to the counter and interrupted my order to talk to their mother . It took 3 tries for the employee to pay attention to my order and not her children . read more

Words cannot describe how excited I was to see a metro accessible Jersey Mike's in the DC area...but I'll give it a shot for Yelp. I'm very familiar with the chain having grown up in NJ, and their sub is far superior to any sub in the DC area. I've tried quite a few when I was in need a good sub fix, but none came close to this quality for me. You really can't convince me otherwise. I ordered the Club Sub which is turkey, ham, bacon, provolone & I added salami. So much nostalgia was happening with every bite. It was amazing. I still have an NJ number, so I felt a sense of NJ pride when the cashier asked for my phone number to get points towards their loyalty program. In addition to getting free eats through their loyalty program, they have online ordering and an app that you can place orders through too. I'm still psyched that this place is so easily accessible, and I can't wait to come back here again! read more

This tall, young fellow greeted us warmly and while taking our order, chatted with us about the weather, the goings-on in DC all while asking us how we wanted our sandwich! He was engaging, warm, and incredibly hospitable! On top of it all, he made our sandwich perfectly! Fresh, layered evenly, executed with love! I've lived nearby for a couple of years and it's great that more accessible food options are opening in the area. What was missing was a decent sandwich place open past 3pm, and fortunately Jersey Mike's has filled that rather large void. Over the last two months, I've been here dozens of times. Everything always tastes fresh and they're really efficient in getting your order out in a timely manner. It's a simple sandwich with quality ingredients and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The hot subs are good, but the cold subs are great. Most importantly, and in contrast to most of the quick options in the area, you feel better after eating the food. The #7 (Mike's way, no juice) fueled me through a particularly grueling couple of months. I should also mention the people who work here are really fantastic. More than any other business in the area, they've made me feel like part of the community. They make an effort to remember my name and build a relationship, which is above and beyond what was expected. read more

We had never done Jersey Mike's but decided to try when they announced they were giving donations to feed folks who were struggling during the Pandemic. The subs could have been fine, but strangely the folks preparing them gave us only the "extras" we were asked if we wanted rather than adding them onto the basic ingredients in the ordered items. So #17 Philly Cheesesteak had no cheese, just the steak, plus the "extra" mayo, lettuce and tomato that I was offered. And, I asked that it be served on a cheesebread roll, but it was on a plain white roll. My husband ordered the #26 Bacon, Ranch, Chicken Cheesesteak with pickles and mustard extra. He got NO bacon or ranch, only the pickles and mustard. He did get the whole wheat roll. And, when he asked about using the restroom, he was told that he'd have to go next door to Chipotle. We won't be returning to this locale any time soon, that's for sure, but it feels to us as if the owner really needs to do some supervising. read more

This place is absolutely TERRIBLE and I hope that at least this review will convince someone out there not to waste their time or money here. It's a shame because I love Jersey Mike's, but the one I've been to in Jersey is almost embarrassingly superior to this one. The one star is for the sandwich I got being comped, when an apology would have been even better. I got here to wait a couple minutes to have my order taken. That was fine, everything was a little disorganized at first but it wasn't terrible enough to convince me to leave. I should have. The girl behind the counter took my order and then proceeded to make the food for the group behind me. My sandwich was sitting there for what had to be 15 minutes, while the cashier made the sandwich for the person in front of me, and another employee came out to stare blankly into space. My sandwich was still sitting there unmade. I started to get pretty mad. The cashier finally got to me and proceeded to chit chat with the people behind me - they must have been having a great time, with their food being made before mine AND getting a full blown convo with the guy. Providing great customer service to everyone but me when I'm the only white person there does not help their already poor case. I finally asked to speak to the manager, and turns out it's the girl who's been staring into space the entire time nothing has been done to make my sandwich. The cashier also proceeds to joke in front of my face about HER being the 'manager' as if me asking is some kind of joke. How can the manager be one of the disgruntled employees slacking off and goofing around? Who actually owns this joint and wants these reckless employees ruining their name? This place is disgusting and the free sandwich is not enough to EVER convince me to waste my time at this failed location again. This location cannot get a delivery order (GrubHub) correct. The first sandwich was a BLT on white. It arrived with no mayo, only bacon, lettuce and tomato. The second sandwich was The Original Italian; made Mike's Way, no salt, extra cheese, with additional oil and vinegar on the side. The order was so incorrect, I called the location to speak to the Manager. Jersey Mike's specifies mayo as part of the ingredients on a BLT. The Manager told me that I had to request mayo on the BLT, so the order was correct with no mayo! The Original Italian was not made Mike's Way, since it didn't have oregano or oil and vinegar on the sandwich (not to mention the extra cheese that cost me an extra $1.50). The Manager said I only specified oil and vinegar on the side, so they didn't put any on a sandwich made Mike's Way. I asked the Manager to explain what comes on a sandwich made Mike's Way, she said oil and vinegar! I am convinced this location hires illiterates at best. Who cannot make a sandwich according to the ingredients listed on the menu? I do not recommend ordering from or going to this location for a Jersey Whoever's since they don't make a sandwich according to Jersey Mike! read more

Not sure why I was actually in the mood for a sandwich because that's normally not my thing. But for some reason I really wanted a sandwich my husband and I used Yelp to find this place because it was pretty close to us and the reviews didn't seem so horrible. The reviews are above and beyond kind. I ordered what was called the Big Kahuna I even paid for extra meat. I got my sandwich it was not full of meat, peppers, onions, and, cheese. It was barely at the halfway point of full. There was absolutely no seasoning on the steak. This staff was semi-informative but not very customer service friendly. Considering the fact while the girl was trying to help us take our order she was also texting on her phone at the same time. My husband and I were the only two in the restaurant so I guess I just expected more. On top of that we spent $38 on two sandwiches which I don't mind the price but for what we got was not worth it at all. I'd rather pay more and get much better food then pay less and get mediocre food. needless to say we will definitely not be returning to this location or any other location for that matter. this one experience completely ruined Jersey Mike's for us. read more

Jersey Mike's is awesome! They just opened this location a few months ago and I think it's the only one in the city, but don't quote me on that. It's a little bit more expensive than other sub chains (subway) but not by much and it's totally worth it. Jersey Mike's shaves all their meats and cheeses down in front of you. Their vegetables are MUCH fresher than subway and the overall quality of their ingredients is far superior. read more
