Solid new location! I went on opening night, so I can't attest to what it's normally like. Service was so quick and upbeat. Food was great. They only have the drink station behind the counter which I guess makes sense for a city. Music was LOUD, but again, that's hopefully just an opening night thing. This location is so so dangerous for me because I'm at Regal Gallery Place way too often, and I'm usually jonesing for a late night snack after a movie

Food is fresh and tasty. Got the tenders and fries. Liked the taste. First time try. Location is very colorful just in the middle of Chinatown. Service is quick. Staff is attentive. Parking is not easy there. So maybe to go via metro.

Super small overcooked "tenders" with bbq mayo sauce. What a complete joke. Never ever again.

The best chicken fingers and the sauce is amazing! Order your combo with no slaw and extra toast and ask them to make them BOBs!

There was no Parmesan cheese on the salad, and there were 2 croutons in the salad. Pass. Perhaps it would be good as compost. There was no tomato soup delivered. Instead, there was an extra tub of Mac n' cheese, which was tasteless. The hummus was good, but the wedges of pita bread were hard, possibly a week or two old. Disappointing, but it's okay to serve crap food to people restricted to the hotels in snow-bound DC.

These are the classic characteristics of traditional smoked chicken wings. The tenders on the other hand are good however not as crispy on the breading as I'd like. I believe they are trying to accomplish a soft breading which is OK however theirs is a different kind of soft breading resulting from the batter/flour and frying process. Borderline soggy. These tenders are very tender and would be exceptional if they'd change their flouring and frying technique. Overall a good chicken tenders that I'd purchase again when ordering chicken wings. I don't think I'd travel here exclusively for tenders. As far as sauces are concerned, I tried the Smokey Buffalo, Alabama White BBQ and Honey Mustard. Would like to have some traditional flavors available for the traditional palates. Overall a very good experience.

This is definitely a hole in the wall-type restaurant. The exterior isn't great, and honestly the inside isn't much either. There's no place to sit, you come to order your food and go- but the service and quality of the food more than make up for it. We ordered an XL order of soy garlic wings (20 pieces) and a M order of honey spicy (10 pieces) and it was more than enough for 6 people. The crunch and flavor were TOP. I heard great things about the honey lemon pepper wings only after we placed our order, but unfortunately we didn't get to order any. I also have to shout out the employee that took our order. He was so friendly to us and also threw in extra sauces and Oreos when he saw we were celebrating my bachelorette. That extra touch of customer service made our visit here memorable. I'll be back to try the honey lemon pepper soon! - Ambiance: 3/5 - Food: 5+/5 - Service: 5++/5

Don't take it from me...if you're on social media you'll see that food influencers have travelled from afar to rate these wings. And even they were in disbelief how amazing these wings were. The honey lemon pepper is not just a unique sounding flavor but the taste execution is something else. If you haven't tried KoChix don't walk...RUN! Service is always nice and they get orders ready fairly quickly for a fried wing joint. Ambiance isn't much to write about. Kind of your standard takeout place. We got the wings and stood outside and enjoyed them. The weather was nice. Bring plenty of paper towels and water to rinse your hands off.

There's lots of street parking around, but no dedicated parking lot. The restaurant wasn't huge but just such great vibes. We got a couple sandwiches, potato wedges, and honey butter rolls. Everything was flawless! The potato wedges had a great seasoning and weren't dry, which can be hard to do. The honey butter rolls had the perfect blend of salty and sweet. And the chicken was just incredible. It really might be some of the best chicken in DC!

There were not that many people considering it was a Saturday, and we walked right in. First thing I noticed was how HOT the restaurant was. As for the service, our server never got back to our table after giving us water- we waited for 15 minutes until I had to chase down another server to place our order. As for the food, I don't understand why it took 50 minutes to come out, when it was not busy. The girl who brought our food also accidentally brought out another item (tenders) that we didn't place, and gave an attitude when we told her we never ordered it and asked to take it out of the bill. As for the food, the chicken was pretty worth the hype. The bread wasn't as good as I had hoped given the hype, and the strawberry burrata salad was decent, just a little too much dressing. I'd maybe come back strictly for the chicken, but I hope the service would improve in the future.

Runners just do that. Run around the restaurant throwing food down on tables and run back to the kitchen. Never checking on anyone to see if they need anything and how the food is. I ordered the SW Salad ($16.50) with a steak add on ($9.00) at medium temp. I also ordered a cup of Clam Chowder ($5.95) as an appetizer. Chowder came out pretty much right on top of my salad, but no big deal. Chowder was decent taste, but only found one clam. Ok whatever. Salad came out looking like a side salad on a large plate with five slices of rare, tough steak. It was so rare, that it was extremely hard to cut through, but again, who was I going to talk to about it. No wait staff would even look my way. I couldn't even get a refill on my water and there is no place in the app to order a glass of water...so that's that. Unfortunately it was just an extremely bad experience for $40. I'll be looking for dinner somewhere else tomorrow night.

I hadn't been in over 10 years, but after another spot in the area completely frustrated us, we ended up at Stan's and instantly remembered why this place has survived for decades. Remember the old TV show Cheers? That's the vibe. Everybody seems to know everybody. You head down those steep, borderline life-threatening stairs into this underground pub and immediately walk into organized chaos in the best way possible. The place was packed. After-work crews, regulars, friend groups, people eating, drinking, laughing, and minding everybody else's business all at the same time. It was LOUD loud. The kind of loud where you have to lean in to hear your friends. At first, it looked like there was absolutely no chance we'd get a seat, but the staff stayed on it and worked hard to make it happen. It took a while because this isn't the type of place where people eat and leave. Folks settle in, order another round, and stay for hours. Speaking of rounds, the bartenders do not believe in weak drinks. The pours were generous and then some. Now let's discuss the real star of the show: THE CHICKEN WINGS. Every table seemed to have an order. Every person walking by seemed to have a basket. Everyone knows you come to Stan's for two things: strong drinks and those famous chicken wings. They absolutely lived up to the hype. After about a 45-minute wait, we finally scored seats at the bar. Unfortunately, we got summoned to another spot before we could fully settle in, but that's okay. Stan's, don't worry. We'll be back very soon. DC legend status: maintained. Rating: 4.5/5 because the wait is real, but so is the vibe.

For planning purposes, you are within walking distance to Freedom Plaza, Lafayette Park, and a direct path to the Washington Monument. The food here is very good, but what you're paying for is the rich history of the establishment and great customer service. Our server, Peter, was very knowledgeable of the restaurant history and menu, friendly, and engaged us in organic conversation. The management team was also very friendly and engaging. Some of the best customer service you can experience in DC. The recipes and menu options are simple, but the execution is what makes this place an easy return for diners. They are known for their seafood here, oysters in particular, with a solid selection of staples. The biggest value is perhaps lunch as there are a few options around $20 that are filling and delicious; beating similar pricing for lunch at other places, but at a lesser value. The interior is characteristic of 20th century American midwest saloon. A lot of Victorian decor with mahogany wood throughout. Much of the character of the restaurant is built on this idea. The restaurant group has done a good job of preserving what seems to be original interior and exterior design from the previous occupant, the B. F. Keith's Theater. There's a downstairs which has space for private dining, and there are multiple bars indoors, an atrium, and lounge all which the latter are operated by Old Ebbitt Grill. Overall, a very good experience for good good and a history lesson.
