My bf went here tonight 6/05/2014 and ordered one pizza to go...on the drive home his friend in the passenger seat (holding the pizza) felt something fall on his leg from the pizza box...Indeed it was a maggot! They immediately drove back to Jerseys for a refund. The owner and/or manager offered zero apologies and didn't even look at them. He could careless that a customer had to return food to his establishment due to MAGGOTS! My bf was more disgusted than upset and politely took the refund in shock at the horrible lack of concern and customer service. Beware of this poorly managed and maintained pizza parlor. Jersey's always hits the spot after a long day at school. I've been here numerous times for school events or when I have breaks in my schedule at Cal State. I'm a sucker for their cheese pizza. It's the perfect ratio of crust, sauce and cheese. I love that I can keep biting the pizza and get a mouthful of cheese, but then look at my slice and realize that it is still fully covered with even more cheese. The crust is really light and the sauce is very flavorful. It is a little pricey, but the quality is top notch. read more

Looked up their menu online to see what their specials were today.. Today's special is any Large pizza .. Served all day 3.00$ .. So I called to ask if you needed to buy other items for that special .. Unfortunately it's suppose to be 2.00$ off any large pizza .. But that's not what the website said.. The girl who answered the phone asked her manager and they said I was on the wrong website.. It wasn't for their location .. I gave them the address and she confirmed it .. So I asked to speak to the manger she informed me that they were busy.. I asked to speak to the manger again and she again said they were busy.. Might sound a little pathetic on my end.. But as a costumer you would at least think they would either honor their mistake or apologize and try to make the costumer happy instead of bushing them off .. FYI this isn't the first time they have done this.. If you ask for a menu to go, the prices are also different from what they charge you.. Their excuse was "Oh that's an old menu" but didn't have any "new" ones to hand out.. So you'll just have to call and see what our prices are at that time.. Hey Yelp, I had the chance to revisit a spot that I used to go to while I was a student at CSUSB. The ownership has changed but the food service and quality at Jersey's Pizza has not. I would argue that the best Pizza near CSUSB is at Jersey's plus it is locally owned and operated! They have great lunch specials, which was the reason I was there today. I absolutely love the crust at Jersey's, which to me can make or break a pizza experience. That combined with generous toppings and a killer sauce makes it an experience far beyond normal eating. I have been eating Jersey pizza in Redlands now for the last couple years because the one in San Bernardino one switched owners. I decided to eat at the San bernardino Jerseys for lunch because it's close by CSUSB. I regret eating there for lunch, For the money I spent on two slices of pizza and soda I could've gotten a whole pizza at Little Caesars with breadsticks (That would have tasted better.) The sauce is terrible/ Tasteless. Cheap ingredients, Two pepperonis per slice. I wouldn't recommend eating here it's worth the money in gas to enjoy the food that the redlands jerseys has to offer. The specialty pizzas here are great! I love the homemade taste in their pizza. Everything else.... Skip it! The service is hit or miss, the 'salad' is a mountain of iceberg lettuce with a pile of cheese on the top- boring! They have cheap decorations throughout the whole place. So.... The atmosphere is cheap sports bar, and the service is lacking.... But the pizza is great! So.... I will keep coming back- at least for takeout! read more

Not too good. It looks good but the pizza is not really Italian. It has some wierd seasoning added that gives the pizza a strange after taste. It may be good to some but the quality is just not there. The salad was just a pile of lettuce with artificial cheese. The cheese on the pizza did not have taste. Delicious pizza. They don't skimp on the cheese. Good prices for a pitcher of beer. My only complaint is the cleanliness, it needs a good dusting and more attention to the bathrooms. Hands down this pizza is the best, forget about alfredos, red brick, or any of those other chain joints! You wont be dissapointed. The only thing is the price, everyone seems to be used to those 5 dollar specials, a whole pizza here costs more but you get what you paid for. Had a great experience. Friend ordered single slices and he wished he had not. They skimp a lot on single slices and they only offer pepperoni and cheese (3-4 pepperoni slices max ha ha ha). I have never felt the need to post on this site, until I used it to look for a pizza in a town I was unfamiliar with. I would NEVER recommend this place because the owners have no customer service skills whatsoever. I ordered 4 pizza's to be sent to a local office. After an hour and no pizza, I called and was told the pizza was on its way. After two hours and no pizza, I called and was told that they went to my building to deliver but couldn't find us, so they didn't have time to stick around and investigate where we were (mind you we're in a corp building - which is unbelievably easy to find). I asked why nobody had called me to let me know about this late delivery or lack thereof, and was told they had lost my number. Long story short, we had to drive down and pick up the pizza's which were cold and they refused to make new ones. I would never go back. read more

I went in to pay for a team party since I wanted to have a team party there. I was only in there for about 3 minutes just to pay deposit. I had been gone for about 4 minutes and a young girl at the counter called me telling me that I took a phone and that I needed to take it back. She didn't ask if I took it. She accused me. I told her that I would go back and they could check cameras so they could see that I didn't take anything. I was even wearing my team sweater. This is San Bernardino's best pizza. The reason is because their sauce is home made, fresh and unique. I don't know about you, but I thought all pizzas were the same until I had a pepperoni and CASHEW pizza. I don't order anything else. Now, if you want some "Salmon Watercress shoo-bop do wop" pizza, then go chase down that Wolfgang Puck dude and nag him. Great pizza and cheese bread!!! Terrible service from the young girl up front and that's why I give them 3 stars. The cooks in the back were more helpful. We ordered a pizza, cheese bread and drinks. She never asked us what we would like to drink and just brought us 2 Cokes...weird. I asked her if we could get something else and she looked at us like 'oh you didn't order that'?? No, we don't drink Coke so we wouldn't have ordered it. The cook in the back came around and asked if we were asking for something else because the Coke was flat and that's why we wanted something different (which was nice of him to see if something was wrong) but I just told him we never picked our drinks, the girls just brought us Coke. He apologized. We finished eating and asked the girl for a box for the pizza. She brought us a little container you would put either salad or pasta in, it wouldn't fit more than one slice of pizza. Common sense would tell anyone this isn't a box for pizza. We told her it doesn't fit so she brought us another one of the same...?!?!??!? I told her can we please have a pizza box. We've been going to Jersey's in San Bernardino for years but I will never go back. The customer service is TERRIBLE since the ownership changed. We went in a large group of family (annual bday party) on a Saturday and the owner's son working the front counter was rude and disrespectful to my mother. Her pizza was burnt and she asked for another. The guy at the counter said that because we ordered chorizo that it had to be burnt to compensate for having to cook the chorizo thoroughly. He then told her that his kitchen was "over run" and that they didn't have time to prepare another. I understand kitchen issues, but my family doesn't tolerate disrespect and that's what they were. They told us that they didn't need our business, even though we had about 35-40 people showing up. Some of my older family members had pre-ordered and had already received their food. The male owner went into the back room that we had reserve, shut off the heat, the power to the games, the television, and all of the lights. My family was trying to finish their food in the dark with no idea about what transpired in the front counter area. This upset everyone quite a bit because it was so rude and so unnecessary. Our entire party had to pick up and find another venue on the fly. This place doesn't deserve anyone's business! When I told them that they needed a lesson in customer service they told me that they didn't care and that they didn't need me as a customer. I will never go back after years of dining there. The female owner...RUDE. The male owner...RUDE. The owner's son working the front counter...RUDE! You don't get to be rude to and disrespect anyone you choose because you own a business. Judging from how his parents (owners) handled the situation, that's exactly how they all feel and it's not right. This place is lucky that previous ownership built such a good pizza, good brand, and good reputation in San Bernardino. Without that, this place wouldn't last a year. This is one of the only places in San Bernardino that offers chorizo on pizza but don't waste your time. Go to Nickelodeons or Jersey's (original owners) in Redlands instead. Just left this place, it was about 8:50pm when we arrived. Say they are open till 11:00pm but had all the chairs up and vacuuming. Asked if they are open still,and said only for take because no one else was there. We were not allowed to dine in because they were slow and wanted to close early. as for the food i must admit the pizza is the best around. I mean excellent pizza...the thing i was disappointed about was the service...i decided to take my high school basketball team there for a pizza party because the season ended. we spent over 150.00 bucks there. 2 things that upset me were 1) even after spending all that money my girls went and asked for some ranch..and they wanted to charge them...2) we used their game room to eat in and not one time in the 3 hours we were there...did anyone come and see if we needed anything or if everything was ok...when we needed something we had to go find them...we had 30 people there and not once did we get checked on. all in all, i still love the pizza but ill never have a team event held at that place again!! read more

I called in my order 2 large pizzas..1 Jerseys Special and 1 Pepperoni.. both with extra cheese and well done (aka crispy crust). I got what I ordered in 40 minutes not 20...well done=soggy...the girl at the register looked like she'd rather be getting a root canal. This north end eatery has been sports theme related for years and years...now there are fake dusty flowers, Valentines Day balloons in March and little nick knack things all over the place...ridiculous and out of place. I live 4 blocks from them, its so convenient... I order and know what to expect. The place has the best pizza/calzones in town, it's a lil pricey but they have an arcade for the kids & beer/sports on TV for my husband which is 100% better than taking everyone to Chuckcheese. I was very pleased that our glasses came out with a nice coat of frost on them which to me makes the beer that much more awesome & both my husband & son loved the way they make the cheese so stretchy lol it's just really good melted cheese. read more

I ordered a large pizza to go with 2 toppings and extra sauce, but got no sauce and triple cheese!. And It is not the kind of extra cheese that you're happy about....it's the plastic cardboard type. It completely covered the pizza we couldn't even find the bread part. It was inedible. When I walked into place to get my food the staff was a bunch of kids laughing like they knew a secret joke, unfriendly and unprofessional. When I called about my pizza the young girl on the phone was unapologetic and didn't really give a damn. If you grew up in San Bernardino, then you know about Jerseys. Simply the best pizza place in San Berdo. A while back I remember seeing a sign that said they got their alcohol license taken away. During that time, business seemed really slow, but the pizza was still good. Not too long ago, Jerseys went under new management. This was probably the best decision. After talking to someone that used to work there, I was told that the new management saved San Berdo's favorite pizzeria from going out of business. New management did change a few things. They extended the menu with new dishes and they added new decor--vases with plastic flowers on each table--not a fan. Looks out of place with all the sports jerseys and team photos, but the good thing is that they kept the original recipes and same specials/pizzas that starving high school and college students like. I like coming here for lunch every now and then for the slice special. A slice of pizza and a drink for $3 flat. It used to be cheaper, but $3 bucks is still good. I also like sharing cheese bread with marinara sauce with a friend. It's less than $3 for the half slice, and its a good appetizer while we wait for our pizza. What makes me keep going back to Jerseys for many years is the pizza sauce. It's really rich and saucy filled with diced tomatoes. I have not been able to find a sauce that tastes similar to this one. I've never used the game room, but it looks exactly the same as it did many many years ago. In fact, even the tables, chairs, and carpet look the same. I would like to see some minor renovations, but still keep the old school Jerseys vibe. The service is alright. Seating is anywhere you please and you have to order your food when you walk in. The only thing staff does is bring you your pizza. I don't mind this, it's just the way service has always been. The only thing that does bother me at times is when I order a pitchers of beer. Every time a refill is needed, it must be paid for right away. There's no such thing as a beer tab. I understand it's not a bar, but it would be nice to pay everything altogether than paying for every single beer. By the way, a pitcher of domestic beer is $10.00. Not bad. I enjoy eating here. The pizza is the same as it was years ago, the memories here are fond, and the liquor license is back! read more

I used to live in the area and was a true fan. They serve the best tuna sandwich in America. I wish I knew how they do it. If I'm any where in the area I drive there and order one. YUM. Their garlic cheese bread was a favorite of eveyone in my office and we ordered it often. YUM. I came here on my lunch break to get a mini pizza. I thought the service was fine (and pretty self-explanatory; the menus are right next to the cash register where you obviously order/pay). I ordered a mini cheese pizza with garlic. I guess I should have asked first if the garlic was fresh, or was of the minced variety found in spice bottles. HOLY GARLIC! When my pizza arrived the first thing I noticed was hundreds of itty-bitty minced garlic flakes covering the cheese. Who can eat that? When I ordered garlic on the pizza I was hoping more for chopped garlic spread out over the pizza; not half a spice bottle dumped on the cheese. I spent a good 20 minutes back at work trying to scrape off as much as I could of the garlic flakes before attempting to eat the thing. I got through two pieces and threw it out. The dough was mush, the sauce was bland and the cheese was nothing but hard globs of yuck sliding off the sauce. The garlic was over-powering (how could it not be)and I'm trying to decide if I should ever give them another shot. Perhaps if I order another type of pizza (although their prices were pretty high for second chances), or next time simply stay away from the garlic my experience might be better.
