Ok, Rome. Can we please keep this place in business? These guys make great Middle Eastern food - hummus tasted fresh and simple, the baba ganoush was very green and also fresh, the koefte (meatballs) were very savory and tasty. This place is an awesome contrast to the many chain restaurants that seem to dominate Rome, GA. The Mediterranean style food is so tasty and feels healthier than the average work lunch. The guys that work the counter and cool and professional and the 2 walls of glass in the restaurant provide a bright natural atmosphere. There's also a bit of a secret menu. I love this place. Finally, a place in Rome where I can gorge on falafel and gyros. Once you finally figure out how to find the parking lot, you are in for a treat. I always get the #1 gyro combo or falafel of course. You can get the falafel in a pita too, which is pretty good too. Tried it for the first time and mad that I waited so long to try this great place! The food was excellent, we ordered several things and shared them all. My personal favorite was the grilled veggies with hummus. Also loved the Turkish coffee and the baklava. I'm in agreement with the others - this is a fantastic new place with wonderful food and a friendly, helpful staff. Today was my first visit and I had the falafel plate, which came with rice, salad (with a really nice, tangy dressing) and pita. Some of the best falafel I've ever eaten. Really good tzatziki sauce, but even better tahini sauce for dipping. Asked for one, but got to try both! I also got to try the dolmas (stuffed grape leaves), which they brought to me after I mentioned I would try them next time. They were great! So excited to have this new restaurant in Rome and was glad to see the large lunch crowd today! Come on out and give them a try! This restaurant needs to stay! read more

This place never disappoints. In my opinion, Jerusalem Grill is by far the best restaurant in Rome. The location is somewhat hidden, making it a true hole in the wall, but I can assure you that you will not be disappointed! My favorite menu item is the chicken kabob. Some reviews have said this place is pricey, but for the amount of food you get I would argue that it's a great deal! This is clearly a family owned business and they run it very well. The servers are incredibly polite and eager to make your experience the best it can be. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food and a friendly atmosphere. read more

I got take out yesterday from Jerusalem Grill. I'm on a low carb diet, so I got the Kabob Combo without rice and they substituted a salad for the rice. I also got an order of hummus. First off, the kabobs were fantastic. They were tender and flavorful. The sauce on them definitely complemented the overall taste. They kabobs didn't make it back to the hotel. The only thing I was bummed about was that they no longer had lamb kabobs. Instead, they had substituted beef kabobs. They were still really good, but I would have preferred lamb. When I got back to the hotel, I had the salad that the kabobs had been laid upon. The salad was very good, except for the olives. They were kind of bitter, but it wasn't enough to detract from the overall dinner. My only problem was the Hummus. Being on the low carb diet, I tend to eat hummus with a spoon. The hummus wasn't as flavorful as most that I've had. It tasted like there wasn't any garlic in it. It was also a little grainier than other hummus I've had at other places. Since I've only been there one time, I'm hoping it was just an off day. It wasn't so bad that it keeps me from trying it again, just not on this visit because there are other places to try! I'm always on the lookout for Mediterranean / Middle Eastern places because I love the food and it fits my diet really well. Give it a try! read more

The restaurant was clean, the employees were nice, and the food was excellently made. I highly recommend trying this place out. Even at about 1:15pm the lunch crowd was still going strong. Friendly service as well. If you're looking for a change from the chain offerings of Rome, give them a try. If we don't suport the smaller shops they fade away. Tricky to git into-through the Walgreens parking lot or next to the old Western Sizzlin is your best bet.
