1st time here .. Had the cafe de olla latte. Nothing special from others I've had.. it was actually super watered down . Should've asked for cafe de olla late (dirty). I also had the chilaquiles. The salsa of the chilaquiles is by far one of my top 3 favorites in the valley... the salsa is freaking delicious perfectly seasoned and spicy... the cumin gave it a different flavor.. it was perfectly made. It wasn't sour like others ive had. The chilaquiles were tasty . I just wish they tossed the chips with the salsa more.. i had chips sitting on my plate without salsa.. i would also prefer to order my eggs runny instead of over hard... (mine had eggshells)..but i can overlook that just cuz of the flavor of the salsa.. also, a sliced steak option would b nice or grilled chicken.. not steak picado. For the price I thought the portion would b bigger. But i wouldnt stop coming just for that. The plates are cute and petite. The people working there are so sweet and helpful.. This is the loudest coffee place I've been to, First time here, - I thought I was going to get some work and relax- boy was I wrong. Horribly the environment is anything but that. Employees were loud among themselves- not considerate of the people here as they bang around cups and saucers one guy was using a loud mini-vacuum, all people were trying to work here. Employee were doing maintenance behind the counters and in back the whole time I was here - horrible, distracting environment. They need to do maintenance when there's no customers , after closing or before opening very difficult to concentrate here -- esp with the loud blasting music -- this place is more like a loud nightclub than a coffee cafe. Also, the employees seem like they don't want to be there - they all seemed like they were having a bad day. They need to be trained on how to interact with customers. E.g., While ordering, the girl kept interrupting me assuming what I was going say - I had to stop her several times so she would understand what I was ordering - she was talking very fast, not pleasant at all. Recently, I have been trying to visit a lot of local coffee shops, and this was one that was recommended to me that was nearby. I loved the entryway with the automatic doors and just the overall Latino influence throughout the entire coffee shop. The barista at the front was nice. I let them know that it was my first time at the shop and what they recommended. She helped walking me through the entire menu and ultimately I landed on the Spanish latte with an extra shot and needless to say it was amazing. In addition to the Spanish latte I ordered a jalapeño cheese croissant had it warmed up and again very tasty and very, very good. I don't know if this was customary or not, but it was very busy when I went, which was around 9 AM on a Friday and needless to say that obviously affected how quickly they got out the drinks, but you could tell that all of the barista's and employees were working at full speed. I'm creating breakfast sandwiches and overall you could tell that they have a very efficient service and I will definitely be sure to come back and try some of their breakfast items. Finally got to visit Jesse's Grinds second location in Canoga Park. I parked behind it in the public parking lot. I came during a weekday noon and wasn't that busy but I know weekends it can get packed. I'm curious to see how it is early mornings in weekdays. Really chill spot to hang out or do some work which I went to go do. They have tables outside, inside, a bar seating area and sofas w tables so choose whatever you're feeling. They do have seasonal drinks but I opted for their cloud honey cinnamon cold brew. At first I wasn't feeling it then I added two Splendas and mixed it and it was perfff. Not too sweet, taste the good coffee and the foam have it the flavor. For a medium, it was $6.25 so not bad at all. Seems like most of their medium lattes are around that price so if you don't want an overpriced latte but it's still good, I suggest to come here. They don't have too many food options but their food options would be a good fast breakfast or lunch. The barista helping me was very attentive, polite and helpful. The baristas were a little distracting playing around, it was entertaining but a little distracting. Nothing too bad though. Welp glad I got to come in finally and check it out. read more

Finally got to check out their new location and it is absolutely GORGEOUS!! Love the amount of street parking and they have more parking in the back. SOOO spacious inside!! Much bigger location compared to their Winnetka one and I am in love with how beautiful it is. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Lots of tables and seating to enjoy your drinks and food. I really love the coffee here. I have been to the original location many times. I was excited for this one to open since it's a littler closer of a drive for me. I love the open space when you first walk in. It's definitely more conducive for more people. The other one is always so tight and crowded. I like how this one has more room and an outside patio to sit. The staff was extremely friendly and gave us a few good laughs when ordering the coffee flight. Some of the new flavors are amazing!! I just hope they are not seasonal so I can get them all year round. The only downfall with this location is parking. I got so frustrated with the parking. I went around the block multiple times and there were no spots. I finally had to park a ways away and pay for parking. I hate having to pay $3 for parking to get my coffee and sit and enjoy it. So unfortunately I probably won't go back as often as I would like. If it was convenient I would probably go once a week but because of this it's probably once in a while or special occasions only. I was lucky enough to grab the last table outside. I ordered a coffee and bagel with cream cheese and my husband ordered a coffee and breakfast bagel. The bagels were so fresh and delicious I wanted another one. The drip coffee was so flavorful and they have all different options for milk. The bagels came out hot and so did the coffee! Jesse's Grind is now in Canoga Park! I was so excited to try this place out. It's right on Sherman Way near Remmett. It was a very busy Saturday morning. The line was out the door. It looked like there was not going to be any room for my daughter and I to sit. We continue to wait in line contemplating on what we were going to try. Their menu is pretty straightforward. They have some pastries in the window. They also serve hot food. My daughter ordered a strawberry matcha and a carrot cupcake. I ordered "the Jesse" (shaken) with whole milk and a ham and cheese croissant. I also ordered a lavender lemonade on the side because I was curious. My daughter thought the strawberry matcha was a little watery and she didn't enjoy it very much. She did however, enjoy her cupcake very much. I liked "the Jessie", I just wish it was a little sweeter. But That is just my personal preference. Next time I order it I will make sure to ask for that. My home and cheese croissant is flaky, soft and very delicious. I would get that again. My favorite out of everything I ordered has got to be the lavender lemonade!! It was fresh and floral. Everything I was expecting and more.... If they offered a chia seed upgrade, I would for sure add that! We ended up finding a place to sit after all. The second location - big, beautiful, spacious, amazing staff who are always friendly, bomb food, drinks, and pastries from Homeboy Industry. I always enjoy coming here to sit and relax with a friend. My favorite is the mazapán latte but the other drinks are always a hit. The ham and cheese croissant is delicious. The breakfast bagels are also a favorite. I tried the chilaquiles the other day and the homemade salsa verde was super delicious and spicy. I almost couldn't handle the spice! Kinda funny that I have been having Jesse's Grind on my list for awhile but never managed to go yet until they finally opened their other cafe in Canoga Park. The entrance felt like a movie scene where you're about to enter a classic castle IMO. The interior gave different kind of ambiance though. It's probably not like common aesthetic theme which was mostly brought by recently opened ones, and more towards homey neighborhood cafe you stopped by for your daily morning caffeine intake. What made it complete was the warm welcome from the attentive baristas! Most of their drinks came in 12 and 16 oz options and the prices were decent enough for the size, with alternative milk being free of charge. I got The Jesse, which was said to be the owner's favorite, their house Vanilla Latte with cinnamon hint. They did deserve the high ratings as the coffee was good! This is the bigger Jessie's Grind with lots of seating. Parking is mostly on Sherman Way and metered, but I usually quickly find parking. The service is good and the coffee is delicious. During one of my visits, I came with my small book club friends and we each ordered a coffee flight. It was well worth the price and we realized we probably should have shared! The Mazapan latte was my favorite and the lavender my least favorite out of the 4 I chose for my flight. As a big fan of their original location in Winnetka, I was so happy to see that Jesse's grind opened a second spot in Canoga Park. Cheers to their continued success! There wasn't much of a wait when I came on a Saturday morning - I expect they have more of a crowd when it's not raining, though. They've only been around for two months now, and I already know they are going to blow up even more. I had the Dirty OatChata and the hot drip coffee. The iced coffee was delicious and I would order it again and again. The drip coffee was rather basic but good. Next time, I'll be more adventurous with the second drink. Prices are decent for the size and quality. I would say they are in line with other coffee shops in the area, including Starbucks. I have yet to try their food, but I did see an assortment of pastries, and some more savory items like Chilaquiles on the menu. Your best bet with parking is the little lot in the back. As another option, there's metered street parking all around the area. Don't forget to pay your meter. read more

Sadly, it's happened. I decided to ultimately dock stars. The reasons? Well, placed a mobile order 15 min. prior to arriving amd still proceeded to wait over 30 mins for my drink. I checked in with the baristas a couple of time and the store was not overly packed. I understood that there was a promised time, so I expected about 10-15 min. wait. However, my wait time exceeded that even with promises that my "drink was next". Well, 30 mins. into my wait, I asked if I could just return at a later time and get my drink then, to which the barista looked down, under the counter of their side of the bar area and placed it on the counter in front of me...even though I asked this particular individual multiple times to please check that my drink had gone through because my wait on a mobile order was unusually long. There is never any apology or type of care to rectify this issue. Once, at the Winnetka location, my husband waited over 40 mins. for a PB&J sandwich. It's tough to have to update this because I want to see small businesses succeed but also, your customers want to feel seen and not bothersome. :/ Haven't been back since. Right on Sherman Way x Remmet, you can park at a meter in the front or in the back lot. I LOVE / HATE that there are so many yummy choices, because when I have a craving, I LOVE that I can come here to get it ; but HATE that sometimes I want ALL THE DRIIINKS! I walked here after volunteering for CDI (the old library has a great center for kids now) & sat down with my books to study. I chose a cozy corner couch & enjoyed my Horchata Coffee & a Bagel. The music was great, everyone was dressed up in the Halloween spirit & I even ran into some people I knew. I wanted to try this new coffee shop that was recommended by my friend. I went to do a pick up and bought her one as well, and unfortunately dropped her coffee on the way. I took a picture and turned around in hopes that they could help me out and be accommodating, especially since I had just picked up maybe 5 mins prior. I was surprised when they turned me down after speaking to a manager saying that they wouldn't be able to help me out because it wasn't on the property, even though I tried to argue just being there. Even though I understood, it was a surprise to me because the team was overall pretty nice and I thought they would for sure be the type of business to understand when things like this happen. A tasty cold brew if you want to tickle your palette. The churro croissant was delicious, they can warm it up for you. If they do one with cream it would be game over. It is so hard to find great coffee in SFV and Jesse's Grind is one of the top coffee shops around. Their customer service is always on point. The coffee ( my favorite being their Cafe De Olla ) is 10/10 , I also got a bag of La Paz to try and I am sooo pleased about their new food menu. The interior is stunning with plenty of seating . WOW not only was it such a cute shop, lots of greenery and plenty of space to enjoy you drinks and food, or just somewhere to work. I got the matcha horchata with oatmilk and the las maria's chilaquiles, 10/10 for both. The matcha was so yummy, definitely more horchata than matcha but you definitely could taste both. I've been a loyal customer of Jessie's Grind Coffee since it first opened, and I genuinely wanted to continue supporting Jesse's growth--especially with the new Canoga location, which is an incredible accomplishment. Unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. One member of the team was flat-out rude, appeared unhappy, and had a sour demeanor the entire time. It really took away from the experience. Customer service is what encourages people to keep coming back, and sadly, that was lacking big time during this visit. That said, the ambiance is beautiful and the coffee itself is pretty good. It's just a shame that poor customer service overshadowed what could have been a great experience. read more

Customer service is really great! Its super lgbtq friendly too! For food i tried the turkey sandwich on a plain bagel and it was so good. Now the drinks, i ordered the matcha horchata.
