Love this place. It's moody but with plants & natural light. The pistachio raspberry latte that has been on special is delicious. It wouldn't be the same without the raspberry powder sprinkled on top. The vegan breakfast sandwich was also so yummy, especially the soft & chewy sourdough bread. My only complaint is there are no places to plug in if you sit at the back bar. Besides that, a perfect place to work or meet up with someone for awhile. Friendly vegan only neighborhood coffee shop that roasts their own coffee, serves simple breakfast goods, plays the chillest music and has ample seating. Inside is welcoming and gives cabin vibes with a high wooden ceilings and an abundance of plant life. The owner is at the counter serving the coffee or just to chat you up. They roast their own beans which are a blend of Brazilian and Mexican, and also single origin Mexican. Both are smooth, with the blend being the obvious bolder choice. They do only have vegan milks, so keep that in mind when coming here to order a milky drink. I ordered a drip and it was light enough to drink straight. If you have a pet or just need some fresh air, there is a covered patio that has a few picnic tables and a good view of passersby on Weidler. I have always had a good experience here. The ambience is cool yet unpretentious--good for working or a quiet coffee date. I especially like the big deck/patio. The baristas are always friendly and fast. The drinks are consistently good. I'm not vegan and don't usually like vegan coffee, but theirs is such high quality that I barely notice it's vegan. Love this vegan place! Tucked away in the Gateway neighborhood next to a vegan sandwich food cart and Food Fight vegan grocery. Their policies are fairly strict when it comes to COVID - they still require masks and are not allowing indoor seating at the moment. However, they have a decent sized patio you can sit on to enjoy your coffee. I went today (Saturday) and they had a special banana-based creamer. I didn't try it but it seemed to be popular. I did get the iced latte and a squash green onion scone - both delicious. I appreciate that they serve their "for-here" coffees in mason jars and have real plates/silverware rather than paper or plastic ones to reduce waste. Plant-lovers, check out their collection! I ordered an ordinary latte, but this one has a soft and very frothy top to it which was so smooth going down and tasty. They also offer great seasonal drinks too, especially for this sweater weather! Their little pastry/baked goods area is also fresh and delicious! I chose a hazel walnut maple muffin, tasty. The ambience and decor inside is very modern and very local, but with a hint of Punkin alternative to it as well it's a small little place stacked on stilts, which I recommend checking out and having a bite or a drink with some friends or by yourself with a good reader computer. read more

Really good coffee I must say. However, the experience I had left a bad taste with me. I ordered a large coffee, $3.25. It's self serve to fill. Two different types of coffee. Now I don't know which one I'd like so I did a quick tasting of each, just enough to taste. Less than half an fluid ounce I'd say. The Ethiopian one was more to my liking over the house blend. As I was filling my cup up to almost full, the employee accused me of getting a refill. It was only moments after paying. I was accused of "chugging" down an entire cup of HOT coffee and getting a refill. The coffee was extremely hot and I would've burned my throat if I had filled the cup a first time, chugged it down, and went for another cup. The accusatory behavior of the staff really ruined my day. If you're going to have two types of coffee available, you need to be somewhat understandable. It's completely illogical that most customer would chug down an entire blazing hot coffee in seconds. Would give fewer stars but the coffee was actually good. read more

Poor shot-pulling technique, poor flavor profiles on their flavored beverages that detract rather than add to the coffee. If you are really into pretense and especially special specialness, or if you really don't care about coffee but just like miscellaneous warm fluids, this could be your jam. Only come here if you have no other choice, or can't digest milk products. Service is friendly enough, but you are treated like you have ebola, even if you observe all COVID protocols. Gonna be honest: I am picky when it comes to coffee. I will drink most anything if I need caffeine without complaint but it's rare I find coffee that is actually a pleasure to drink. So I was pleasantly surprised when I got to try the coffee here. I've gotten both a mocha and an unsweetened latte both with coconut milk. Both were absolutely amazing. The coffee was perfectly balanced. Not too acidic, not burnt, just a truly amazing brew. I also got the raspberry almond scone which I thoroughly enjoyed. My partner got a savory leek and potato croissant that I stole a couple bites from. Nothing here disappointed. The interior of the cafe was clean and tidy with a relaxing atmosphere. I kind of got the vibe that one of the men behind the counter was a bit impatient (it was my first time there and I was admittedly unsure of what to order) but that could have also just been me overthinking the situation. The plant mom inside me got so stinkin' happy, and I probably over-stayed my welcome. No, I for sure did. Popped in with the minions, one of which is a vegan. In addition, the whole lot of us are allergy ridden. The coffee blend here is really good and they have several non-dairy milk alternatives. Their pastry assortment is relative small but the flavors are delish-and they use Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free flour, which has great flavor. Their inside dining area is plentiful, but the majority are two seat tops. There is one large table that will seat about 6. Thankfully, there was an outside table open (yes, they have outside seating!) for our group of three. It's a little crowded when you walk in because the order station is RIGHT up against the front door, but most of the other patrons are courteous and patient. They even have a nice little water station. The lobby/dining area was clean and tidy. The only really weird thing was they had everyone take their trash to a garbage can outside... There is an adjacent little taco food cart (also vegan!) called Mistacones. Very yummy homemade tacos-with great flavor. A little speedy, but true vegan tacos are hard to come by. read more
