I got told by my OB I can't fly due to complications at 24 weeks with risks of bleeding out on the plane, jet blue charged me $300 to cancel my flight when I medically can not control this. they made it extremely difficult to get some sort of refund then $25 fee to have them cancel it when their site wasn't working. I'm now out over half the cost of my flight. And I can only use my credit I do have with them now. Customer service was worthless. read more

Never fly jet blue to/from Grenada! They close the check in counter over an hour before the scheduled departure and we couldn't check in. Once we found a jet blue employee they stated, we close the checking in ticket area 1 hour and 20 minutes before the flight so all employees can go to the gate, you have to get online to reschedule" it was unbelievable! The plane was not even boarding yet. We had to spend 1,000$ and book the next flight out to Boston... it was terrible and I'm sure broke some aviation rules.. fly American to Grenada... don't ever go jet blue!!!! read more

I have flown Jet Blue from PDX to NYC twice and both times had a pleasant experience. I would try to fly them more often, but o don't find flights to where I am going very often. Definitely to NYC though. No complaints the times I have flown them and fair prices. read more

First time flying JetBlue....and what a pleasure!!! This was well beyond our expectations. We've flown a few low cost airlines and JetBlue was by far the best. I would actually rank it as the best flight experience I've had regardless of low cost or not. Jets were super clean and, as advertised, had lots (lots!) of legroom. The true test for me on how good an airlines is, is by taking a late flight. Usually you'll find the plane is pretty dirty with crumbs, garbage left in the seat pockets, etc. Not with JetBlue - everything was as clean as the first flight in the morning....so nice! The only downside of our flight with JetBlue was that it was too short...I would have happily flown a much longer flight! I've been telling everyone how great our experience was and can't wait to fly with them again. Great job JetBlue! read more

Giving them a 2 (departing Portland to Long Beach) because my television was out and we arrived at Long Beach late. Flight attendants were nice and prompt w/ his beer needs but they did not coordinate well to get me off the plane; I explained to them that I had to catch the plane (also w/ Jet Blue) from Long Beach to Oakland and because we were arriving late, I was pretty much due at the gate before we arrived. BTW- the Oakland one departed late so it all worked out but why the delay? The weather was crystal clear! read more

Our first experience with JetBlue was fine, but our second was so bad we will never fly with them again. On a flight from JFK to PDX, the person in the third seat in our row was far too large to sit reasonably in the seat. She literally took up half of one of our seats as well as her own. We are understanding about size issues since we both are not small, but we can fit in our own seats. The worst part was that the flight attendant offered this person an extender for her seat belt but she declined saying she had her own. This was a lie. Instead she just stuck the seat belt under her belly, not secured in any way. If there had been an emergency, she would have been tossed around the cabin, endangering us and everyone else. We tried to notify the flight attendant about this but she just shrugged and said there was nothing she could do. JetBlue apparently does not care about passenger safety. To make it more insulting, when we complained later, JetBlue offered us nothing more than a free legroom upgrade on our next flight. Since we prefer to stay alive, we will not fly JetBlue again. read more

My boarding and service on Jet Blue was flawless. I opted for the extra leg room and was quite glad I did. It did cost that much more(unlike first class) but I was able to stretch out and sleep. I've always flown with JetBlue from PDX (Portland, OR) to LGB (Long Beach, CA) when I go home to visit the fam bam. Rates usually range from $90-$124 for a good deal. I've never really seen it cheaper than that, if there were deals for that route, I guess I never flew home around that time. My flights are on time and if not earlier upon landing. From my last trip, this wasn't the case. We were delayed =( It wasn't JetBlue's fault. It was the weather's fault. The plane that was coming in from Salt Lake City, UT to switch over, was in delay due to fowl weather upon transit. The JetBlue associates were very informative upon the delay and offered bottled water to compensate for the lag. (Thanks!) What's not to love? - Personal TV (36 Channels: Bravo, VH1, Animal Planet, Food Network, MTV, Cartoon Network, CNN are just to name a few) - XM Radio - Complimentary drinks (tea, water, coffee, soda) - Complimentary snacks (Taro Blue chips are my fave!) - Free 1st bag check-in - Great service from the Jet Blue attendants/stewards I love flying Jet Blue! I'd probably have given four stars if they haden't crushed by tripod - but they did crush my tripod. My flight was at 6am so I arrived at around 4:30am only to find that the counter didn't open until 5am. They had the little electronic check-in kiosks, but I needed to check my bags. There was a "Self Serve Baggage" sign but no instructions as to how self check my bags, so I stood and waited. It cost $40 to check my tripod. The flight was on time and the plane a nice Airbus. I slept to Long Beach. The return flight was late. They filled the time hawking seats with more leg room. I read to Portland. At Portland, my tripod came out broken. I had to send it back to Canada to be repaired. I had to get return authorization, fill out Customs declarations, and a waybill invoice, package it, drive it to the Post Office and pay $31 to send it back to British Columbia and now I'm waiting for the phone call to learn the cost to fix it. I'm also waiting for JetBlue to respond to my request that they pay for the repair. Jet Blue is a good name, because that's exactly how I'm feeling - Blue. read more

Well, I don't know if it's 'as good as it gets', but it's pretty damn good. Picture it: PDX to LGB (that's SoCal, folks) for $69 each way. Who can offer a better rate than that? In addition to their awesome prices, they have the BEST planes and crew members! Every seat has it's own T.V. with DirecTV and XM Radio. Head phones are cheap (or free when the machine is broken), although you can bring your own, and passengers get as many snacks as they can handle. The steward people just walk up and down the aisle and hold out the basket of assorted snacks for you to grab up. Check-in on both ends was fast and super friendly (more so than any other airline I've flown). On my return flight, the main steward thanked all the passengers for choosing Jet Blue, noting that there's a lot of competition out there and they really appreciate it. I thought that was really nice. Irrelevant to Jet Blue, but worth noting: When the flight attendants inform you that the plane is completely non-smoking and specifically mention that it's a federal offense to tamper with the smoke detectors in the bathrooms, they mean it! Some broad was caught red handed smoking in the bathroom (on a two hour flight) and boy, the sassy stewards let her have it. Not only that, but there were cops waiting for her when the flight landed. Offered a middle seat by attendants, explained had to elevate an support arm because of a torn rotator cuff and needed a window seat. Per attendant JB to offer a "voucher". Dealing with their agents is like coming home to a menopausal bipolar schizophrenic! They're hot, they're cold, they're nice, they're hate you....ARRRGGGG soooo frustrating. Well, once again consistency is a term they've yet to push up the corporate ladder. Nonetheless, my husband I flew out to Portland from Long Beach recently. We had to check in at the desk and the guy there (darn forgot his name) was fantastic. He literally epitomized customer service. The airlines attendants were nice and attentive. Now on the way back, again we checked in at the desk. This time the guy there was cold and dismissive almost condescending. On the plane we more of the same specially the head stewardess who walked around like the queen bee. Give 5 stars for an airline, you say? Hell yeah! I've flown countless airlines and have come to expect an overall shitty experience. When booking our trip flying into Long Beach we figured we'd give them a shot, not really having any preconceived notions about the airline as neither of us had flown with them before. Compared to every other regional carrier I am blown away in every regard. In fact, I'm writing this review as I sit in a comfortable, leg-roomy seat using their FREE Wi-Fi (yeah, ain't that some shit). Also available for free is some in-flight entertainment including over 40 channels, Sirius radio, and some films (for purchase for $5 on flights over 2 hours). As someone who is a nervous flier, this is a great way to help calm my nerves. The flight attendants are incredibly friendly. Like, they actually smile. Who knew they even did that? The snack offerings are actually quality and they offer several choices, although I'd dig a slightly healthier option but that's just me splitting hairs. They offer plenty of bev choices and serve Dunks coffee. Oh! The flight was super on time, and we are scheduled to arrive early, beeteedubs. The only thing I regret is not figuring out the awesomeness that is JetBlue sooner. You can bet your sweet tush that this will be remedied henceforth. read more

On Saturday 9/9/17 my wife and I arrived at PDX to board JetBlue flight # 1121 to Long Beach, CA departing at 6:45am. We attempted to check in and print our boarding passes on the self-use kiosk. The kiosk would not allow us to check in so we approached the JetBlue agent at the check-in counter of which we were informed that out flight had been canceled due to "mechanical issues" and that they were placing all passengers on later flights. The agent asked for our ID's and said she could check us on a later flight that was departing about 2:00pm. Before going through the security check point I was going to give my wife her boarding pass and noticed that the names on both of our boarding passes contained the correct last name, but the wrong first names. We went to stand in line again at the JetBlue check-in counter and advised the agent that the names on the boarding passes were not our names. The agent then informed us that the soonest flight they had available for us would not depart until two whole days later on 9/11/17. We purchased these tickets months in advanced and we were being told on the day of travel that our flight was canceled, issued boarding that were not ours, and, now we are told we have to wait two whole days. Attempting to buy another ticket at this point was going to be too expensive so we opted to re-book and leave Monday. This caused us to miss out on irreplaceable time to spend with friends and family that we were looking forward to. JetBlue really failed us. You got our money and failed to honor the commitment and service that was expected in return for our hard-earned money. JetBlue did not try to place us on a flight with another airline, they did not care to ask if there was any additional financial burden for hotel or rental car services. I called JetBlue customer service later that day and inquired about compensation for this lousy service and was informed that all customers that have flights canceled will receive an email in two days from the compensation department. On 9/10/17 I called JetBlue to make sure our seats were together on both the departing and return flights. This took a total of 51 minutes. Half of the time was on hold. I hope JetBlue will invest in an automatic call back feature. The phone representative was very kind and reserved seats together for us. On 9/12/17 I called JetBlue because as advised by the phone representative on 9/9/17 I never received an email from their "compensation department". This call was a total of 53 minutes and about half the time on hold again. I was advised by the customer service representative that no one on the canceled flight # 1121 from 9/9/17 received any compensation and that I was the only one that called in to request compensation. What type of company are you running where you think that canceling a flight, giving notice to passengers on the day of, providing the wrong boarding passes, resulting in a two day delay is not warranted generous compensation? Your customer service and compensation protocols are severely out of touch. The best the customer service representative and her manager could do for my wife and I was giving us $150 voucher per passenger to apply to future travel with JetBlue. After this experience what type of confidence do you think I have in JetBlue or recommending anyone else I know to this airline? read more

When my return flight was delayed for 3 hours last night, the gate agents kept us informed, brought out snacks and even made a McDonald's run (as McD's was all that was available at 1am). The plane was half boarded when they discovered an issue and they let those passengers off. That's a lot more than most airlines would do. To top it off, we got a voucher for future travel. Excellent fares, excellent service. I will definitely fly JetBlue again! read more

I only wish JetBlue flew to more locations from Portland without going waaay out of your way (wanted to go to Florida, but connecting in NY or Boston? No, thanks), but I am happy going to Long Beach for SoCal trips. I have made the trip numerous times with no problems out of PDX. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH AN AIRLINE. The most recent trip in May 2013 was the first since our 12 year-old son transitioned to being in a wheelchair full time (Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy) and they treated him like a king. They changed our seats to the front row so he could get on and off easier, they asked how he was doing many times. At Long Beach, they have a lift to bring him down to the tarmac instead of using the stairs (no jet way in LGB). The guys helping him out were super. We get really good deals by signing up for their emails. You usually have to book a flight several months out, but that's how our vacations usually operate, since I sign up for my entire year of vacations in November of the previous year. Oh, and all of this... Free TV Free XM satellite radio Free snacks (unlimited) Free first checked bag Great flight attendants Great pilots I can't recommend them enough. I cannot say enough good things about how superior Jet Blue is in their customer care, wide seats, extra leg room, larger overhead storage, individual TV's, and in-flight service. Most notably, on March 5, 2018, I learned that my mother had passed away one hour before I boarded the flight to try and make it to SoCal to see her. I was a hot mess. The first half of the two-hour flight from Portland (7:14 am flight), I sat in my seat, journaling all the wonderful things I remembered about her being my mom. When I thought I'd pulled myself together, I went to the back galley to ask if, by any chance, they could dedicate the flight to her, since she was a former flight attendant. As I started to speak, I began to sob. The young male flight attendant (Tevana) had no idea why I was crying, yet put his arms around me and held me like a family member holds a grieving loved one. When I could speak, I told him about my mom's untimely passing and asked if he could dedicate the flight. He willingly agreed. What followed, as he was making the announcement on final approach for landing, was a beautiful tribute, using my mother's name and acknowledging my loss. I videotaped it and played it at her memorial. There was not a dry eye. Thank you Jet Blue, most notably, Tevana and Robyn, the flight attendants on Flight 1121 (from Portland to Long Beach) whose compassion made my journey to bury my mother, just a little bit easier. And I have a lovely memory to replay. read more

Jetblue has awful customer service. You would think a company would be more helpful with all the Covid restrictions and travel plans being cancelled or needing to be rescheduled. These are unusual times that should merit special exceptions. I don't understand how if they have already collected over $1000 but I have not used the service yet they can't allow any future credits still? My same travel plans included multiple airlines as flights were not roundtrip. United Airlines offered a rebook credit until 2022. I will never give my business to Jetblue again. These are hard times and losing $1000 is hard to swallow from a large company that could have let me reschedule, but with a response of, "Sorry, there is nothing that can be done." Recent Jet Blue nightmare I recently traveled on Jet Blue airlines, it started out ok with just one minor glitch. The trip back was a nightmare. I received a notice that my flight had been cancelled. I went to the airport to see if they could reroute me to my final destination. They told me that I could be sent Puerta Rico since they were still flying to JFK airport. Then to my finally destination. So, I catch the flight to PR, get to the gate and everything looks ok, flights are on time. Well as the time got closer to departing and several enquiries about, if the flight will still leave on time since JFK was closed I kept getting the run around with no solid answers or facts. Finally, 20 minutes after we were supposed to depart, they put up delayed on the boards even though we had not yet boarded. For the next several hours me and the rest of the passenger were given the run around with excuses and blaming the other airports for their lack of knowledge of the ongoing situation. The airline did not give meal vouchers for the delay but gave out warm mini bottles of water and some nasty tasting cookies. I received via email that the flight was cancelled so I once again go up to the counter and the staff denied that the flight was cancelled. I asked if they could reroute me a different way to my destination and was told 'no' once again. The do not work with other airlines. While waiting, I noticed the pilot and the flight crew, I asked the pilot if the flight was cancelled and he said it would be, he and the crew were waiting for official notification. I told him I already received it from the airline via my Email, he only smiled and said nothing. While continuing to talking to him he told me there was an alternative route I could take that none of the counter people had acknowledged. So, I once again went up to the counter and asked about the new route and they told me that one leg of it was already overbooked. Getting frustrated with the airline, I asked them just to get me back into the US mainland. I changed my flight to Florida so I could finally get to my final destination. I land in FL and go to retrieve my baggage and guess what, it's not there. They had almost 3 hours to transfer my bags to the new flight and did not, so I file my claim for missing luggage and catch my flight several hours later to my destination. Several days later I get a voicemail saying my bag is in. I call and of course cannot get through to the caller so I leave a message. Couple hours go by and I finally receive a call back and set up the delivery I was told it would be at my house in the next 3-4 hours. This was 11 am. After 8 hours, I call and once again cannot talk to a live person so I leave a message. I receive a call back at 2118 hrs. saying my bag is in-route to my house. My bag finally shows up at 1230 in the morning. So I wasted a whole day waiting on my bag to come and was awoken in the middle of the night when it finally did. While going through my bag, I can smell that one of the bottle's I had brought back was not just broken but shattered. My other bottle had almost broke and there was dents to the metal cap. The force required to shatter a bottle is a lot specially when there wrapped in several layers of cloths. This caused damage and ruined other gifts I had purchased. The bag was clearly marked in two locations as fragile which was ignored. Later that day I called the Jet Blue claims department and was told that they don't cover anything inside the bag only if the bag is damaged would they compensate me for the damage. Then the rep said she could give me a credit for the next time I fly Jet Blue which I responded would do me no good since I do not believe I will be using Jet Blue in the future. I have traveled the world and in the last 4 months been to several country's but have never been treated in this manner. There were some outstanding employees with this company but the negatives far exceeded the positives. This was the first time I have ever traveled Blue and would not recommend it based on my experiences and having to pay another airline to get me to my final destination in a timely manner does not bode well. read more

Best experience with travel! The seats are wide, lots of leg room. I shouldn't tell anyone so I can keep this gem to myself. The attendants at the bag check were so friendly, and on the plane they were very helpful. They seem to have a very good, quick system to serving drinks/snacks. Even going thru the plane to sell headsets and blankets! I've flown other airlines that you have to hunt someone down to get a blanket and you feel like you're disturbing them. Specifically Brett was awesome at the gate and even remembered me from check-in. I will be flying with them again, and soon! read more

- Locale Destination - Ticket: They often offer great deals ($49 for domestic one way etc.) online. I think it's pretty cheap. Check in: You can do it online the day before the flight (I don't get this concept - I guess it cuts the time for check-in?! I don't know. But you do still need to check in at the airport...). There's check-in machine nearby the windows to avoid the waiting time for the window. Always easy and quick. Seat: It's very comfortable. You can watch Direct TV (Bring your own head phone. Or it costs you $2). Snacks: Various mini snack packages - chips, nuts, cookies etc. Service: They're all nice and friendly both on land and air. After many flights with them, I had only ONE big issue - I was about to fly to Oakland for my dream game - GS vs Miami ('14) in Oakland. The game was EXPENSIVE and turned out to be a CRAZY ASS FUN GAME - Lebron made the winning shot 3 seconds before the game was over - GS was 20+ points behind the whole time and winning back at the last quarter! Without the King's shot, GS would have won with the great come back... I LOVE both teams, so it was toooooo awesome. I would have been so furious if we missed it. We were so lucky to have decided to drink a beer before the flight at the bar nearby airpot (if we weren't, we wouldn't have made it). We were at the bar 2 hours before the flight time. Right after we started drinking, JetBlue called me our flight got some technical issues on the plane and canceled it! I was MAD and worried - you can't even imagine. I'm a hardcore GS and Miami fan. I was so excited to go to the game for my week vacation, which was planned entirely around the game. They didn't tell us till 2 hour before the flight?! They said they had a detour flight (for us) to SF instead of Oakland (so that we could make it to the game) in 30 minute (from the call). So we got to leave the beer and to take a taxi to the Long Beach airport (a few minutes away) ASAP instead of parking in the residential area nearby as usual (free). We run, run, and run! The crews were informed about our situation already, so they were super nice when we arrived at the plane. We arrived at the SF airport, but we got to take "Bart" to get to Oakland. We got the flight to Oakland to avoid this. But we had to in order to make it to the game. Luckily we got a hotel in Oakland for the game because we knew we didn't have much time to get to the game ( but not this type of hurry). We dropped our stuff and took a taxi (bad idea in general because it would be traffic for the game, but we had no choice). We barely made it right before the game started. We had to rush, to run and to spend extra money and time for the transportations (the parking cost at the airport, taxis and Bart) due to their technical issues. Couldn't they inform us a little earlier? My friend is an expert negotiator. He called JetBlue for the reimbursement of the unnecessary expenses we had to spend due to their problems. They refused it several times. After several days of negotiations, they finally agreed to give us $100 credit/each on JetBlue. It wasn't enough for what we had to go through and to spend, but better than nothing. At lease we barely made it. If it weren't the case, $200 wasn't enough. The one NBA ticket for the night costed more than that. The entire vacation was planned around it. I appreciate their gesture at least. I'm still a loyal customer. - Conqueror's Deduction - I love to fly with JetBlue from Long Beach airport (No need to hassle unlike LAX nor John Wayne. It's super small, fast and efficient airport!). Freakin finally. Can't tell you how long I've waited for a direct flight to jfk that does not cost a million. Only drawback is that your only choice of flight times is midnight to 8 am. arriivng at 8 am is cool, cause you get the whole day in. Arriving at 8 am all jet lagged, hungry and tired is not cool. Jet blue rules for low cost, no frills airfare. Plane food sucks anyway, and it used to be cool when you could bring on your own snacks. Wow. Flew JetBlue for the first time this weekend from Portland to Long Beach, CA. Love flying into Long Beach, as I have family there. I liked a jet Blue's efficient boarding procedure, inexpensive "more room" upgrade, and ample snacks. Free wifi, decent free programming on the in seat Tv's. I was super impressed when they gave the guy with the service dog upgraded seats. Beverage service without carts seemed more efficient, and let passengers get to the restroom easier. On the inaugural flight from Boston to Portland I actual had enough seat room so that I was not utterly miserable for six hours. Unlike Alaska Airlines that crams you into a tiny seat with no padding, Jet Blue has comfortable roomy seats with TVs for each seat. With one class of seat they operate much like Southwest without the cattle call boarding process of SWA. Flying is still a miserable experience but reduce the misery factor; fly Jet blue. read more

Today I am leaving Portland for Long Beach at 1:15 not get to airport flight delay till 3:45 which is ok. But with all the modern technology you think you think they could have sent a message of some sort. There is at least 80 people here complaining and Jet Blue has not said anything. There is no comparison. I flew on Alaska last week. Wow what a reason to come running back to my JetBlue. What a mess. Completely different experience. I adore jet blue. Portland to long beach Best staff clean plane fast simple. Just perfect. Snacks. Tvs in every seat. Just trust me they are the best. Omg Alaska was late and sloppy and slow and no entertainment and staff acted like they were doing you a favor to serve you. On JetBlue they are trained or hired as happy ! read more

JetBlue is very accommodating to children with Autism. I took my 10yr old grand son from Oregon to Boston. He had the best time. When I made my reservation and let Jetblue know that my grandson had Autism they up graded us at no charge. We had the 1st row so we were the 1st ones to board so that my grandson could take it all in without having to wait to sit in his seat. When we landed in Boston we were the 1st ones off. I appreciate that Jetblue understands the difficulties when traveling with a child with Autism . It was a great experience for Matthew and we look forward to our next adventure . I am so grateful for Jetblue for making what could have been a disaster, a great experience. Families out there that have children with Autism know exactly what I am talking about. Flying with 80 year old parents on a 8:15pm flight Sunday night at PDX. Figured we get there early, check in, and have dinner after going through security to give the parents plenty of time to eat. Arrived at 4:30, no one at the counter and a sign says position closed. No one to check in our luggage. Position opens at 6:15pm. So now we have to wait at the counter until they check us in. And then rush through the long security line on a Sunday night, and hope we make it to our gate in time. Wtf?! Jetblue, this is stupid. Now my parents won't have dinner at a decent time and waste our time waiting at the counter. Very disappointed and won't fly with you again. read more
