From all deep dish pizza chains I like this one the most. They offer better quality ingredients than others and the flavors are on point. As a vegan the only thing I would love them to offer is vegan cheese, but even without it, the pizza is really good. During these times they offer a curbside pick up, and ordering via their webpage is clear and quick. Staff wearing masks and gloves. Good job!

I've had Jet's Pizza in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky and enjoyed it! It's a bit pricier than other franchise options but it's a nice treat every once in a while. My older sis had never had Jet's before and wanted to try it since it's Detroit-style pizza. Good job, Detroit! It tastes pretty good! I like that it's deep dish and overall, just a wonderful pizza. The square shaped pieces are pretty unique to just your regular slices. My sister thought that Chicago pizza is much better. It's good too, but in its own way. We ordered for carry out and got an 8 piece pepperoni. It was ready in 20 minutes, so we popped over there. It was already getting close to 8:30 ish so the parking lot was about empty and it was dark out. The location seems a bit random, but it's easy to spot when you turn onto the street. I just learned about their Turbo sticks! I'll have to try those next time!

Staff is super friendly. Pizza is greasy and delicious. Always consistent which is pretty much what I look for in a chain pizza place.

I HATE not giving positive reviews but start making a…read moreless-than-acceptable pizza at a ridiculous price and you get my attention in the wrong way. As a New Haven pizza fan, the REAL kind, I was extremely disappointed. I know that after having eaten the real New Haven (Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern), I need to tighten down my expectations, but come on! They have these beautiful ovens, a nice, clean, and pleasant place and they turn out what I would consider pizza no better, perhaps a little less good than Hungry Howies thin crust pizza! New Haven is supposed to be crispy and chewy, NOT soggy. I tried Farmington Hills a few months ago and ate in, then last week tried Birmingham and carried out. For those of you thinking that my carry-out experience may have been bad due to the 3 miles I had to drive home, but I've carried out a LOT of pies from a LOT of locations, and I DO take that into account. There are some positives: The ingredients were impeccable. Fresh, high-quality cheese and the mushrooms were done really well. The pepperoni was of good quality but nothing worth writing home about. There are a lot of great pepperonis in the area. The doneness was great. It wasn't over- or undercooked. The flavor was good, but not, as some have said, amazing. In both cases, the crust was limp and soggy, NOT chewy and crispy. Not in the least. I don't mind if it's a little bit floppy, but not like this. An analogy I might give is to compare Tomatoes Apizza to Modern Apizza in actual New Haven is like comparing Jets Pizza to Loui's. Jet's is fine, but Loui's! (If you know, you know). To me, Modern in New Haven is at par, and not to be sacrilegious to our beloved Detroit Style, with Loui's or Palazzo Di Pizza, so it's not a style issue. My two experiences were both the same, so I don't know what to think. I'll give them one more try at some point.

Garbage from top to bottom. No way this place lasts another year with this bland-as* pizza…read more PRICE: First big red flag...DONT LET THEM SCAM YOU LIKE THEY SCAMMED ME. They charge you full price for a half topping pizza. I was charged the same price for multiple half topping pizzas as I was for a Full-1 topping. You multiply this by every single transaction, and they're scamming customers out of money they definitely don't deserve to be making. Scamming aside, it's $15 for a large pizza. Should be $10 MAX considering an average Hot-N-Ready from Little Caesars is better than this crap. TASTE: I've never tasted a pizza so bland and pathetic in my entire life. Their pepperonis are literally tasteless. You probably think I'm joking or lying, but chew one in your mouth and tell me if you actually taste anything whatsoever. Lol. The cheese, sauce, and dough are the same story. They're all there, but they're literally just bland and taste like cardboard. It's truly fascinating how they can make a pizza taste like literally nothing. That first review on this page where the woman rants about the "wonderful flavor" is a literal bold faced lie. ------------------------------------------ If we're going with the usual One Bite type score, this place is a 4.9-5.3 and that's being extremely generous. There's no way this place will still be there 1 year from now without the owners hemorrhaging money every month. It's a shame too because Brooklyn Pizza in Birmingham is terrible, and Tomatoes Apizza across the street is overpriced wayyy over what it should be because places like this can't give anyone in the area any competition that lasts.

So they had on $10 in fees for a delivery. They don't even do the delivery themselves. They outsource it. My order got screwed up and I'm not sure who's fault. It is either the delivery driver or the restaurant. Neither wants to take blame. I have the email of what I typed in. Getting tired of businesses saying that they have to absorb the fees that credit card companies charge, when credit card companies have been doing this since they began and they've always just included it into the price. Also working in the industry I know that the fees they charge are exorbitant and don't match the credit card fees that the business is being charged. The food was cold because when you use a third-party to do the delivery, you're not sure what time your food's gonna be picked up or if they're making other stops. I assume the ambience of the restaurant is trash, because didn't get what I ordered, customer service, not good, and they nickel and dime you. So when it first looked like a standard affordable dinner quickly became inexpensive one for average/mediocre food. If Hungry Howie's could not survive in this location, I'm not sure how this place will. People in this area like good restaurants, not ones that nickel and dime us for mediocre food.

There were multiple open tables when we arrived, so that estimate seemed reasonable. Instead, we waited until nearly 9:00 p.m. During that time, we went up to the hostess stand several times to ask for an update, and every single time we were told that we were "next." Yet we continued to watch numerous other parties get seated ahead of us. As the only white group waiting, it left us feeling like we were being treated differently. I can't say for certain why we were repeatedly passed over, but the experience made us feel unwelcome, especially after watching so many other groups be seated while we were continually told we were next. This is particularly frustrating because this isn't the first time I've felt this way at Market North End. I've continued to come back because the food is genuinely very good, but great food isn't enough to make up for feeling ignored and disrespected as a customer. This is consistent with all of the rumors we have heard about this restaurant being unfair to certain races. No one should have to wait an hour and a half while being repeatedly assured they're next, only to watch other parties be seated instead. I hope management takes a serious look at how the waitlist is managed and ensures that every guest is treated fairly and consistently.

I've tried this place three different times and ALL three times I had an issue. It was a waste of my gas to drive to Sidecar in Birmingham to eat and everything was a disaster from the moment I was seated. I have passed by Sidecar in Birmingham so many times, and strolled past it more occasions than I can count. I have always avoided the place because there is always someone inside of it who is racist and anything but professional. This corniest thing about management here is that it seems to train workers to only like it when whites sit at their eatery. Be sure to hold onto to a copy of your receipt if you wish to be refunded for the unpleasant blah-slop they will serve you. The food here looked like someone sat on it when I bought it, and it was flavorless from started to finish. Honestly, I was skeptical about coming here based on reviews and I wish I had listened to the complaints. One waitress was apologetic to me when I came back to complain, so sad for her because she was not the owner of this dump who has the personality of a headless turkey. The food is worth only one star, but I would give it zero if I could. I'd recommend just going to Applebee's instead of Sidecar and maybe the place that Sidecar is holding can be repurposed into some type of mixed-use community hub to breathe new life into Birmingham once it gets shut down. - Oakley
