Just had to share an experience I had with Jet's Pizza on Delk & Powers Ferry Monday evening (12/2). So I've always liked their pizza but in the past, the persons taking my order haven't been the friendliest and at times, the toppings were wrong or skimpy. But Monday evening, I walked in the door and was greeted by this young "kid" - 25 yr old @NoahCreighton. He tells me he is one of the two new owners. Apparently, he and his best friend bought the place. He asked my opinions and concerns, checked my pizza before it left and handed me a free coupon for my next pie for my time and past patronage - this guy has it down. Used the auto AI when I called & got $2 off the order. I think we got small deep dish w/pepperoni & sausage for ~$20, excellent value for the money. My only complaint is that we called the Delk road location & they used door dash to deliver our pizza & when we made a subsequent call we were told that the Sandy Springs location was the delivery place for our address & we even asked the first time we called if they delivered to our area. They had me waiting 45 minutes after the time my food was supposed to be ready then I came in and they lied on how soon it will be done after complaining. The other night I figured I would stop in and put in an order to be made while I went to grab a few things from the grocery store in the same shopping center. I walked in and the place was empty at 9:15, they close at 10. There was no one at the counter. I yelled "hello" a couple times and nothing. I waited a few minutes as I could see pizzas in a case being kept warm for pickup. I see someone in the kitchen about to walk past the counter area. I yelled "hello" again and waved. They paid no attention and never even looked at the counter or into the lobby/table area. No wonder he couldn't hear me, he had his earbuds in and probably had music on. I figured maybe I could order online. I just wanted one of the small special $8.99 pizzas. I go to the car and pull up the website on my phone. I selected a small pizza and picked 3 toppings. There are no prices on the sizes and the price does not update as you pick toppings. I add it to the cart and the cart shows $24 for a small pizza with 3 toppings. I switched to the 4 Corners pizza and it still came up $17. I can get a small (10") 6 topping specialty pizza at another local pizza place for only $12. We have Jet's Pizza back at home. I tried it for the first time on my last visit. Yummy. So when I saw a Groupon deal, I decided to grab it. I had no idea Jet's was even located in the Atlanta area. Purchased an 8-corners pizza with the spicy pepperoni. The 8-corners pizza is pan pizza where every slice has two edges - I love edge pieces. The slices are large and rectangular. I also ordered the Jet's bread. This is Freshly Baked Bread Topped with Premium Mozzarella Cheese, Butter, Garlic, and Romano Cheese. Comes with pizza sauce. There was horrible traffic on I-75 as I made my way home. I wanted to eat the pizza hot, so I ended up eating a few slices in the car. Very good, but oily. I made a mess of my steering wheel. Whoops. I liked the spicy pepperoni over the regular pepperoni, not that regular pepperoni is bad. I didn't get to the Jet's bread since there was no way of safely eating them with the pizza sauce while driving. :-( So I ended up eating it today reheated. Amazingly, pretty good.
