Stopped in for a quick bite to eat with my sister. This is a place that I've always just drove by since it is kind of hidden in the corner of a parking lot. We walked in & started looking at the menu on the wall. The cashier was very nice & gave us an easier menu to look at. With the cahier knowing that we've never been there, he explained where their pizza originated from as well the items on the menu. It wasn't a long drawn out explanation, but just enough to get our taste buds watering! They have special for 2 slices & a pop, so I had to partake. When I first saw Jets Pizza taking over the old Bruster's, I thought, "ugh, ANOTHER pizza place." It took years for me to finally give it a try and I will say, the pizza is pretty awesome. I've never tried their round pizzas but the square/rectangular ones are great. Now, this isn't your authentic pizza or anything. It's more like thick, extremely buttery, bread topped with thick sweet sauce, loaded with a thick layer of cheese and pepperoni if you so choose. So basically, it's thick on everything. On top of that, you can "flavorize" your crust by adding even more cheese/spices. However, I will say they skimp a little on the pepperoni. What I like so much about their pizza is the bottom and outer edges are perfectly crispy while the center is perfectly soft, as bread usually is. It's such a nice contrast in texture for every bite. A thing to note is that it's mostly a takeout place so don't plan on eating here. Although I still can't say Jet's is my favorite pizza chain, Jets definitely hits the spot when you're craving "fake," all around terrible for you, pizza. read more

Ok so my wife is from Michigan and I lived there for approximately 8 years and consider it my second home state. We currently live in Morgantown, WV so finding a Jet's Pizza within an hour of us was both a stroke of luck and the one of the best things ever. This out of Michigan Jet's tastes just like the real thing (as it should). It was just awesome and reminded us of home. Quite possibly our worst pizza delivery experience of all time. Created a yelp specifically to detail our horrendous night. First off, we ordered 2 orders of wings and only received one. We would of complained about it but the wings were so tiny, dry, and gross that the dog didn't even want them. We were actually relieved that we only got 1 order. Next issue was with the moron on the phone who took our order. He literally sounded like he was piss drunk and chain smoking cigaretts on the phone. He managed to screw up the simple order of pizza and wings multiple times and couldn't spell one of the most common male names in the English language. After wasting what seemed like 10 minutes on the phone placing our order we sat back and watched the clock as 45 minutes went by to make a delivery less than 10 blocks away. When the driver finally arrived we shelled out close to $30 on a $20 order bc the roads were getting bad. Then we find out they taxed on a delivery fee and never mentioned anything about it when we ordered. Already disgusted by everything that happened so far we hoped that great pizza would salvage the night. Not even close.. it was a greasy pile of slop that fell apart when lifted from the box. To make matters worse we found 3 nasty brown hairs stuck to the crust. Everyone immediately lost their appetite and when we called to complain we got placed on hold until they closed. Their deep dish pizza is to die for! Honestly! THE BEST! The crust is light yet buttery and crisp So good! I also enjoy their sauce and the use a good quality cheese. Me and my boyfriend are hooked! This is a brand new place, just opened a few weeks ago so we figured we would give it a try. We called in our order and for two pizzas it was almost $30 (and that was with the supposed $7 in coupons she applied when I ordered) so I expected two very large pizzas. When they got here which was half an hour later (the speedy delivery is the only reason they are getting the second star) I was handed my pizzas and was shocked. These pizzas look the same as something you would get from little Caesar's but are more than twice the price! The pizza tasted good but not THAT good. My issue is not so much with the food, but with the service. We've ordered delivery from here before, and the food was decent. We decided to order delivery again tonight. 45 minutes after we placed our order (around the time the food should have been delivered), we received a call that we were out of the delivery area. Our options were to go and pick up the order (we had already been charged a delivery fee and tipped our driver) or just have it cancelled. We opted to cancel. I'm fairly disappointed that we were not called upon placing our order to tell us that they could not deliver to us, especially since they delivered to us before. I am also disappointed that their online ordering is not kept up to date with delivery areas. I called to inquire (twice, since they put me on hold for 10 minutes the first time and forgot about me) about when I would be refunded and was told that since they cancelled the order, I was not charged. I told them I was looking at the charge on my bank account. The manager said he would look at it when they were not busy. The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude. Now we ended up having to order from another pizza joint during dinner rush, and will be left waiting another hour for our food to arrive. Thanks, Jet's. Tried to try Jets again....it wasn't a good idea. I placed an on line order and had the receipt from the order. I ordered a small, thin crust veggie pizza and a hoagie...they gave me a thick crust sausage pizza . I went back into the store and tried to tell someone about it but their employees conversations with each other are more important than the customer. After at least 3 minutes of excuse me's this rude girl came to the counter and said "what." Not can I help you. I guess she was mad she had to work. I explained they got the order wrong..no apology...just this is what I show you ordered.i told her I had the receipt, gave her the food back and told her to refund my money. I get that every one makes mistakes but don't treat a customer wrong when you are clearly at fault. An apology goes a very long way. It used to be great but the past two orders I placed never showed up. Those were my last two orders, never again will I wait hours for absolutely nothing. The first one was already paid for, they called about an hour later saying that they will be closed by the time the delivery makes it to me, so they are canceling my order. That was fine, but they did not cancel my order. I waited until the next day and still never received a refund. I called GrubHub who said that Jet's never canceled my order but my food certainly never arrived. GrubHub was nice enough to give me a full refund, Jet's was fine just keeping my money I suppose. I placed an order today and it said it was supposed to arrive by 8:05pm. At 8:37pm I called and got no answer. I tried calling a few more times and nothing. Thanks for ghosting me! Recently, I was visiting my family in Pittsburgh (Green Tree), PA, and we decided to grab a pizza. My son-in-law suggested Jet Pizza in Dormont, because he said that it was the best pizza around, and that I should try it. The family has enjoyed it for quite some time. We ordered a delicious large pizza and Jet bread, which I thought was equally delicious. There were two very important criteria that Jet Pizza met for me: the sauce was NOT acidic, but deliciously sweet and flavorful, and the crust was thick, loaded with delicious toppings, and crispy all around the edges, just the way I like it. But, moreover, there was another criteria that Jet Pizza filled: my 6 y.o. grandson is extremely particular when it comes to food, in general - he's not a good eater - but, to my complete surprise, he raved about the Jet bread so much so, that I watched him devour six (6) large pieces with such relish and enthusiasm, that it brought tears to my eyes. As he was eating, and describing how much he loved the Jet bread, he was rolling his eyes in his head as though he was in Ecstasy! My little man loves Jet Pizza, and it has become a weekly treat for my daughter and her family. I visit Pittsburgh every other week, and Jet Pizza will be on my agenda, too! If I could give Jet negative stars I would. Do not waste your time trying to order for delivery. Our past two orders were lost. In other words they received our orders and then forgot to make and deliver the pizza. This most recent order we are looking at over two hours of waiting and phone calls. After our initial follow up call to the store we were told that even though we had called to find out what had happened to our order it was "lost" a second time. But not to worry they are still going to eventually deliver the pizza we orderd at 4pm. It's currently 6pm. Still no pizza. At this point why even bother. read more

Jet's pizza is delicious. I have tried it twice. The this square cuts are crispy and delicious and the Jet's bread is like a cheesy breadstick! The delivery was relatively quick and the customer service was great. I will definitely order again. The size large is not as big as i thought it would be, but the thick slices are more filling than typical round pizza. They also have great ranch dressing. read more
