We LOVE lupi's! Their pizza is consistently great and i love their wings. We ordered a while back and got our wings plain with the sauce on the side, only because they get weird travelling the 15 or so minutes from Lupi's to our home. When we got home and discovered that we did not get our wing sauce, we called and lupi's sent out a driver almost immediately to get us wing sauce. They really saved the day. Never received my food and didn't get a $28 refund. Terrible service. Where is my food

Placed an order 8/20/25 at 10:40 PM. They charged my card, and then canceled our order an hour after it was placed. Nobody answered the phone. Not only did we not get food, but they ruined any chance of ordering elsewhere since everything else in the area was now closed. Avoid this scam of a "restaurant". Update 8/26/2025: I contacted Lupi's on 8/23 to request a refund because they did not refund my money automatically despite canceling my order. An employee told me that I would receive a call back from a manager, but I never did. I was forced to contact my bank and provide evidence of the canceled order so I could dispute the charge. Save your time/money and just order elsewhere. For a great alternative, I highly recommend Pelegrino's on Babcock Blvd. read more

I have to be honest and say this is probably the strangest calzone I've had in a long time. It wasn't awful, but definitely very weird and different from the typical calzone I enjoy. I just had their regular small cheese calzone and cinnamon sticks. The cheese calzone comes with feta, Parmesan, and cheddar cheese. I'll start with the positives: they do pack the calzone with a fair amount of cheese. Also, the size for the price is honestly pretty great. But, the strangest thing about this calzone is the cheese. It wasn't melted. There were chunks of still hard feta cheese and strings of unmelted cheddar cheese in the calzone. The texture was really off and the flavor was also a little weird. The crust was fine but flavorless (some places have garlic and butter on the crust to make it delicious, but this place doesn't). The cheese blend just really didn't work for me. The cinnamon sticks were pretty good. It's a simple dessert that's pretty tough to mess up badly. Portion was good, dusted with a little sugar. Not bad at all. Comes with a probably store bought frosting, but still tasty. Price is a little high. All in all, I don't think I'll return to this place. The calzone was super weird, even though the price was good. It would be better with ricotta (there might have been a little in there but not much, and it's not listed in the ingredients) and if the cheese was melted. Also not sure this combination of cheeses really works. Decent cinnamon sticks. read more

I tried hard to check out in Lupi's Famous Pizza. It was a little later at night, and I wanted to be and a few of the places that I had intended to possibly patronize were closed for the evening so I checked yelp to see what might be on my way home. I was excited to see Lupe's right on the way home with only a few seconds of a detour. The timing was right, so that I could, I thought, call in an order and pick it up right on the way home. Each attempt to call the order in was redirected to a third-party site to order a sandwich . Still, I was anxious to try Lupi's. I took the time to order the sandwich, then learned there was about a 30% charge for the convenience of ordering online. Rather than seeing it as a convenience, I took it as me doing their clerical work for them. It pissed me off enough to remember not to try Lupi's in the future. read more

This was the first time I have been too Lupi's Pizza. The service is very slow and there is generally no one to greet you when you come in as they are in the back. I stumbled onto Lupi's by accident as I was next door at the Pretzel Factory which I goto a lot. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza to go. The pizza was among the best I have had in Pittsburgh. I would say since there pizza was so good they just need to improve on there customer service. The first time I was there I literally waited 5 minutes before I even saw someone to order. Also one order was placed not sure why but it seemed to take a lot longer than other pizza places to cook. I can't really complain too much as the pizza is really good so it is worth a little heartache to get it. I would of given them 5 stars for the pizza but service is about 3 stars so overall i can not give more than 4. I would recommend Lupi's pizza if you are in the area. read more

Consistently good pizza in the North Hills. In this area we swim in a sea of mediocre pizza shops...no...GOOD pizza shops, but noone really raises the bar, except Lupi's. Spoke to a man who confirmed my order and said that it was in the car with the delivery driver on its way to my address. 9:45pm now and it's still not here. We were worried about the portion sizes because the food was so cheap, but accidentally ordered like a week's worth of food because each entree could easily feed two. The garlic bread was, like, a LOAF of bread. For less than two bucks. And the food was ~delicious.~ The chicken Parmesan was so coated in cheese you couldn't see the pasta, god bless them. And they pre cut the chicken so I didn't have to saw through it with a plastic fork. No wonder five year olds ask people to cut their food - the height of luxury. It was so good. read more

This pizza place is easy to drive past and miss, but you won't want to miss out on great tasting food. Their menu has a suprising amount of pizza options and toppings. They are grouped by sauce type: red, white, and special. We ordered the Chicken Ranchero Pizza. It was great! It came out steaming hot and covered in toppings: buffalo fries, bacon, green peppers, and chicken. The buffalo fries were my favorite topping; they were crispy and had a nice spice level. The crust/dough is thin and makes it a bit tough to eat without losing some of the heavier toppings. However, the crust has a great crunch and seasoned nicely so you'll want to eat the full slice (coming from someone who doesn't typically eat crust). Service is quick and we got our pizza within 20 mins. One thing to know is that there are only a few small tables, so I recommend taking the pizza to go if you have a group larger than 2. read more

I normally don't leave bad reviews, I just avoid the business. This however, needs to be said. After I got a 45 time for delivery it showed up over and hour after that time. Pizza was room temp at best. Specified no onions on the hoagie but it was loaded. They don't use salami they use pepperoni. And that Italian hoagie was so bare it was border line vegetarian. By far the worst customer service I've come across in a long time from a restaurant / pizza place. I ordered a white pizza with tomato and bacon. I get home to find out that it is not a white pizza, but is made with your everyday red pizza sauce. I call to complain - which I rarely do (you really have to screw something up for me to complain / send back a meal / etc.). Most pizza places would probably apologize and offer to remake the pizza. Not Lupi's. They offered 15% off the next order...ha. Are you kidding me?? You screw up the order (not something small like forgetting a side of dressing for a hoagie or salad)...but legit an entire pizza made incorrectly. And 15% off is all they can do. Pizza on my side of Pittsburgh in general is not that good especially in my delivery radius. I think many would agree the North hills in general just isn't great for foodies. I've lived in NYC, Buffalo, Caribbean, Columbus, and yes even NC had better pizza. But lupis famous is good pizza and the buffalo chicken pizza is excellent. My guests really enjoyed it and they are pizza snobs from buffalo. I have tried getting pizzas from different places in my delivery area and this is the first time they complimented the pizza. The pizza is not fantastic. I've had it on several occasions. It's decent, but nothing to write home about, but the Omnivore. . . that IS something to write home about, and the letter would read something like this: Dear Mom, I just had the most amazing sandwich of my life. It had bacon and hot peppers, eggs and onion rings, cappicola and steak, cheese. . . and and. . . more stuff! I ate the whole thing because it was too yummy to stop. I am now in intensive care after going into cardiac arrest from eating the damn thing, but it was WORTH it. If you and Dad decide to get one, you should split it, but if you don't, leave the house to me, my sister will just trash it. Love, Jim Something like that. Bottom line, you can buy one of these sandwiches and cut it into quarters and feed four people. Can't recommend the pizza (it's fair. . .) but definitely try the sandwiches. We ordered from Lupis two weeks ago and the food took over two hours to get here. One driver showed up with a food ticket but said he had no food for us. We called In and they said that wasn't our driver that our driver was in another vehicle were like okay? So after a short time another driver shows up with the correct food order. The food was ok, nothing special really. Have ate there a few times now since it's one of the only few pizza shops around here that delivers. First time eaters for me and the hubs. He opted for the omnivore right out of the gate, and I had the big breakfast. Both were amazing, and we will def be back in the future. Update: 2nd outing. Just as amazing for me. Veggie Breakfast Pizza... an amazing styled version of an open-face grilled cheese sandwich. Would eat this again in a heartbeat. Blazing Cajun Chicken Sub was a good hoagie for sure, very spicy for our tastes. But that's just our taste. I would still recommend for others to try it. read more

I want to start by saying I have given this place so many chances. Today was their last chance.. never again. They skimp on the meat on their hoagies, don't cut the cores out of their tomatoes, and their pizza is just a step above frozen. The only good thing I will say is that their honey mustard wings are good. The final straw however was today when my husband had to argue with the delivery driver for 15 minutes because he forgot a drink that he claimed we didn't order. He went so far as to show my husband his phone which showed that we did infact order it. He did go back and get it, but made a snarky remark when dropping it off. I can see why the other owner left to open up a new shop, which has WAY better food and customer service. Unfortunately his shop is not in our delivery area. I've ordered from Lupi's about a half a dozen times over the last several months and I always regret it. I've never had an experience with them where I wasn't disappointed in at least one item. Ordered for the first time and got the seafood hoagie -- this was the best hoagie I've eaten in the North Hills ! It's a big hoagie that was full of delicious flavor --the bread was nice and crispy ( I thought it was going to be soggy by the time I got home but it wasn't)- my husband and daughter loved it too ! ... This has to be one of the worst pizza places I have ordered from not only did it take one hour and forty five min for delivery but the steak wedgie had very little steak on it I had to open it up to actually try to find it it was however covered in cheese mushrooms lettuce tomato I ordered a small which each half is the size of a paper dinner plate for 12.99 steakums are cheap I think they could put 2 on a sandwich and still make a profit this place used to be pretty good but I guess this is what happens when owners change ge or get greedy and what happens after that is no business at all so see you later lupi's time to close shop and go home!!!!! read more
