    Soggy

I gave this place a positive review a few months ago, but after coming back again, I unfortunately had to update my review because the pizza quality does not seem to be what it used to be. The biggest issue was the crust. Both pizzas we ordered (the New York style with green peppers and the hand-tossed with pineapple and onion) had bottoms that were extremely soggy. I'm not sure what changed, but a soggy bottom is definitely not something I expect from a good pizza. I do appreciate that they were very generous with the toppings, but I wonder if the amount of moisture from the pineapple, peppers, and other toppings contributed to the problem. It's possible the toppings were added at a point that caused excess moisture, or that the pizza became steamed while sitting in the box. The sauce also seemed quite moist, which may have added to the issue. The cheese and sauce were okay, but they honestly were not as flavorful or memorable as what I've had at many other pizza places. The one positive was that because the crust was so soggy, the cheese and toppings actually peeled off easily, allowing me to move them onto the outer crust which fortunately was not soggy and had a much better texture. I still tried to enjoy the pizza by eating the toppings, sauce, and cheese with the outer crust, and I appreciated the effort and generosity with the ingredients. However, even with that workaround, it just wasn't the quality I remember. The soggy crust was a major issue, and the overall flavor did not make up for it. What makes this review especially disappointing is that I actually remember being impressed with their pizza in the past. I was surprised to have such a different experience this time, but based on this visit, I do not plan to return.

Finally got around to trying this place after living in Dormont for years. Pizza was 10/10 deep dish and crunchy! The Cajun ranch made it a little spicy which I loved. The guy at the counter was super friendly, too. I'll be back

I saw a lot of good reviews here, and it seems that people really like Jet's. Maybe it was overhyped and my expectations were high, but I stopped in today for the very first time, ordered two slices, and thought it was very mediocre. I wished I had just gone down the street to Betos. Maybe because I didn't order a fresh pizza, but the Detroit Style square slices were nothing like what I was expecting. It's certainly no Buddy's (Detroit), or Iron Born (Pittsburgh). Meh . . . No Cheers! P.S. I did see someone else say that the pizza isn't as good as it used to be ... perhaps they changed things?

Tasty Detroit style thick square pizza. Choice between pepperoni styles- bold is cupping pepperoni. Ranch is above average. Not the kind of pizza I'd eat on a regular basis but every now and then is a nice change of pace. Pans make 4 pieces so each side has crispy edges. Ordering an 8 cut is two 4 cut pizzas.

My son can eat from this place everyday if we let him. He loves the four corner of pizza and the crunchiness of it. I love their deep dish pizza as well. The service is so quick and easy. You can order on the phone, in person or online. It's a take out kind of place. There is no seat inside the store. You just pick it up and go!

I love Jet's Pizza! I found them a few years ago on Yelp and I just realized that I never left a review. Anyways, their specialty are their square cut pizzas. It's similar to Detroit style pizza. Each piece is a corner piece, so you get the crispy, crunchy edge with the dough (yet sturdy) middle. You can also make customizations to your crust flavor and you can choose to a different sauce type if you don't want the typical red sauce. I've gotten my mom hooked on Jet's as well. You can order online on their website, and they are also on Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. do yourself a favor and check them out!

Just got a 8 cut deep dish pizza! This pizza is nasty! Very heavy and greasy. We threw 4 slices away.

Our favorite is the Drunk Meatball: that homemade vodka pizza sauce, and their homemade meatballs, along with the rosettes of ricotta cheese is amazing. Lupo has a wonderful char to the crust and the undercarriage is slightly crispy. The second favorite is the 10th Ward pizza: the combination of meats, peppers, and ricotta makes it amazing. The challenge we have had with Lupo there isn't a place it eat inside, and it takes 20 mins for us to get home, so we have lost some of the warmth and the crust isn't quite as crispy; enter Coven Brewing. We go to Coven and get a beer, we have placed our order with Lupo and we will walk down, get our pizza, walk back and demolish it. Coven has some great beer, especially if you like IPAs; Lupo has Pittsburgh's best pizza; I cannot think of a better pairing. The service at Pizza Lupo is great, they are kind even when their phone is ringing off the hook. Our last time I was getting busy signals because calls were coming in so fast. Somehow they maintain the ability to get a pie out the door in under an hour. When we go there, there are boxes stacked high and they have a steady stream of people entering and leaving, never do I hear a complaint.

It was definitely not traditional. The sauce was very thick and almost floury. They serve it with pork belly, which does not give the same punch of flavor to cut through the sauce as guanchali or bacon. The papardelle noodle were dry and clumpy. The dish was very heavy. Do not recommend. The place is chill. It is close to the theater. I might try it again if in the area.
