But on top of that they removed their shoes in the house, put them back on going under the house. They were polite and didn't pressure my mom to do all kinds of "extra" things. I even asked her to have them check the water heater [which I think is on it's last last last leg] and they told her it looked ok and to call them if it started dripping. Our gas water heater was making a loud vibration that rumbled through our house. The only way to…read morestop it was to turn the gas to pilot which meant no hot water. We had a local plumber who was scheduled to come out at 3 and he called just before 4 to say he was going to be late (no kidding). Eventually some other guy shows up with his girlfriend and says the plumber can't make it so he sent them. I had to show the guy how to turn off the gas. He looks at the unit ( which is 3 years old and under warranty) and says you need a new water heater, plus new brass nipples, new ball cock, etc.. It will take him and his girlfriend 4 1/2 hours to swap it out but he can't do it for a few days. I told him to just leave. We called Kenny's Plumbing and Dereck was very friendly and told us to try ACCU-ROOTER run by brothers Jim and Tony. They showed up, were very friendly, found a leak that had allowed water into the air intake. In about an hour they had fixed the leak with a new brass cap, dried the air intake screens and interior base and I had to ask if it was on because it was now so quiet. We not only recommend these guys from ACCU-ROOTER and Kenny's Plumbing but have scheduled them to work on a bathroom tomorrow.

Within an hour of calling, Marvin came to take care of the problem. He was very professional and called me within 25 minutes of arrival time so I could be ready. He worked efficiently, and when the problem was fixed, I felt relieved. Something that I especially appreciated about Marvin was that he was able to explain the pros and cons to a metal part that came with the replacement valves, recommending us an alternative plastic version of the part so that it wouldn't cause electrolysis over time and damage the copper pipes. I felt like he was watching out for us by explaining possible scenarios or deterioration and sharing his specialist knowledge. I thought that the cost was very reasonable, considering that this had been a last-minute call, so I would recommend them to anyone in the Montebello area who is dealing with a plumbing emergency.

Some scheduling conflicts happened and they weren't able to get anyone out to my place as quickly but mark did eventually return, just much later same day. He then indicated he had to go get a part and wouldn't be able to do that until the next morning at least. Next morning he came and spent some more time and was able to maybe fix it so the leak was less but still present. Told me that was the best he could do. My usual plumber was available the following day. He came, fixed it in about 45 mins and for a fraction of the price. In the end my usual plumber said that this guy used a wrong size part and left a screw loose (potentially why it was still leaking). So overall not really happy with this company and the technician they sent out.
