My usual plumber wasn't available for a day so searched on Yelp for an emergency bathtub faucet leak. In retrospect may have been better off just waiting on my usual plumber. Some nice things about this place is that they have someone answering phones and seems like they have multiple technicians so if you need someone in a hurry, maybe they are worth a shot. I believe my technicians name was Mark. He spent about an hour and seemingly fixed the problem. We then used the bathtub and then it was leaking once again. Some scheduling conflicts happened and they weren't able to get anyone out to my place as quickly but mark did eventually return, just much later same day. He then indicated he had to go get a part and wouldn't be able to do that until the next morning at least. Next morning he came and spent some more time and was able to maybe fix it so the leak was less but still present. Told me that was the best he could do. My usual plumber was available the following day. He came, fixed it in about 45 mins and for a fraction of the price. In the end my usual plumber said that this guy used a wrong size part and left a screw loose (potentially why it was still leaking). So overall not really happy with this company and the technician they sent out. read more

TANK LESS WATER HEATER SERVICE REVIEW (Serviced September 2017): I found Rooter & Plumbing Masters here on Yelp. Our home is about five years old and we have a tank less water heater that shut off unexpectedly one morning. I read the reviews for this business and made contact. Within 90 min, Josh and one of his service repairmen arrived at my home. PROS: Josh got right to the point. It was obviously he knew what he was doing and spoke to me plainly but chose his words wisely. Josh knew all about the company that manufactured my tank less water heater, Rheem. He reset the water heater and it turned back on. Easy. However, there was no guarantee it wouldn't shut off again. Josh educated me on the brand and asked if I had ever changed the filter (nope) or had a wash (nope). Not in five years. Josh gave me three options. (1)-Leave the tank less water heater as is and change the filter yourself. (2)-Pay for a wash and filter change. (3) Replace the entire unit. I chose option 2 which was pricey but Josh offered to apply the cost towards a unit replacement. That seemed fair to me. I also appreciated that Josh gave me options and told me I could replace the filter myself and explained how easy and necessary it is. I trust what he said. Service response times are excellent and available 24 hours. CONS: The price. I did call a competitor for a second opinion BUT everything Josh told me was confirmed as accurate by the competitor. The tech who did the work from Rooter and Plumbing Masters (I cannot remember his name) was very nice and arrived right on time but he was a bit sloppy. He didn't clean out the cobwebs around the tank less water heater box or check the fuses as Josh had promised. I didn't want to call to complain. As I said the tech was a nice guy but not as professional or efficient as Josh. FIVE MONTHS LATER: The tank less water heater is still working. Incidentally, I called a few days after the initial service call was completed because the water heater shut off again. The service tech that was dispatched (I cannot recall his name but he was VERY knowledgeable and professional) was pushing for me to replace the unit but I was not quite ready. What was great is that the service tech arrived within the hour and reset the water heater advising me that there was no guarantees it wouldn't shut off again. There no charge for the service call. So far, the water heater hasn't shut off. I gave the service tech my word that when I was ready to replace the unit I would call back. At least now I know that I have to replace the filter every year. Overall, I would recommend Roofing & Plumbing Masters. I trust Josh. Yes, he is a bit pricey but he stands by his work and I consider him an ethical businessman. read more

I called Rooter & Plumbing Masters to request for a leak inspection at a property I manage. Their customer service promised that the inspection is free if we end up not having to use their service or it would be $99-$129 to unclog the pipe. As I was not on the spot, I specifically asked them to contact me with information on the problem and pricing before starting the work. Well, first of all, their service man Marvin arrived late because he got the address wrong. According to the tenant, after he arrived, he did not inspect the issue and started snaking the pipe right away instead. However, the leakage continued after he "cleared" the pipes. It turned out that it was the washer, not the pipe. He called me after the fact and wanted me to pay $149 for clearing a pipe that was clear to start with. When I tried to point out that he should have inspected the problem and called me before starting, he became very rude and agitated, raised his voice, and started talking to our tenant instead of me. Long story short, I ended up paying $99 for his "service" which didn't help resolve the problem at all. In addition, he didn't give us a receipt which he promised he would. I made two follow-up calls for the receipt and left him messages thru customer service, but he never returned my calls! I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I hope they would change their practice of not following customer requests, raising price on the spot, and poor customer services. read more

Really horrible work, never use this plumber again. my Kitchen drain clogged and the guy came in to fix it, they broke my pipes during the snaking and asked for another $50 to fix the pipes which they broke, alright I paid this but the pipe cleaning just worked for 4 days, it's clogged again just after 4 days, so I don't know what they have fixed. When I called them again they said they can come but need to charge another $100 to clean the drain or you can do the high pressure water cleaning with $450, then I understand they cannt fix anything, the only thing they know is asking you pay more money but they can't give you any guaranty read more

The worst experience we have ever had with any service people. Please be careful with these guys they absolutely do not know what they are doing! They came to fix a problem with a toilet that kept clogging and they ended up causing over 4000.00 in damages to my bathroom and front entry way. Came in to change out my garbage disposal, the pvc pipes and to snake the drain. I think they overprice their service, I had a plumber Nathan coming over to repipe kitchen sink( 4 pieces of plastic pipes) and add a part on laundry cold water hose. The plumber took 40 mins to get it done (despite buying parts from Home Depot) and guess what he asked for $479. And we found the laundry started to leak right after the plumber left, so we had to contact the complete to send the plumber back next day to rework. The work is fairly simple but took so much money and time. I still give 4 stars as the owner responded fast and the Nathan actually apologized and redone his work. read more

It's hard to find really good honest plumbers. So meeting one for the first time is important, especially to establish a trust. Introductions were brief, only knew his name was Joseph since I looked it up online. Price was higher than usual (compared to similar work done at other properties). When I asked how much it was just for the clean out it was quoted $950 (which is somewhat reasonable), but total cost $1500? I don't think hydro and camera was worth $550 (check Angie's list for comparable prices/offers). Deposit was unusually high (norm about 10% and this was confirmed when we were given an official invoice when the work was completed). We scheduled to have our clean out installed the next day between 9/9:30am. They got to the house at 10am and finished around 4:30pm. In short, the experience was just not good at all. For what we paid for, we expected the existing roots to be gone. But the hydro work they performed didn't get all the roots! (Confirmed via second opinion and camera) And we were told that was the best he could do. Then their next recommendation was to replace/re-line. Then they installed a 3 inch clean out (see picture). And of course we didn't know any better at the time. They said they would install a 4 inch if we decided to do the lining or pipe burst. Really? Why not just install the 4 inch now? It's the same logic the owner, Joshua R gave to Yelper Tony F on 9/5/15, "Unfortunately clearing a 4 inch mainline through a 2 inch roof vent is not the proper way to clear a mainline which will inevitably lead to further problems and is clearly a temporary solution, which is why we recommended for you to install a proper clean out." A few days ago, we had a clog in the double sinks in our bathroom, so I wrote a help request on Yelp, and 20 seconds later a nice lady from RPM called and scheduled me for a convenient time. Ismael came out, diagnosed the problem and gave me an option for short- and long-term fixes. I chose the latter (replacement of our 63-year old metal drain pipe with larger ABS one), which he did quickly and efficiently. As we examined his work, he showed me another section under my house where the rest of those old pipes were rusted and/or beginning to shift. He said he could replace all of them to avoid future problems, and since we had clogs in both toilets months ago, I talked it over with my wife and we decided to take him up on it. He and Lee came over today and did a spectacular job, finishing hours earlier than I anticipated. I also asked him if he'd remove a moldy filter that all the water going to my house was going through after the re-pipe job was done. When they finished, I reminded him about the filter removal, and he showed me that they'd already done it! I was floored at their speed and professionalism, which is why I give RPM my highest recommendation, especially if you can get Ismael and/or Lee on the job! Updating my 2018 review! Had another great experience with RPM to replace my old garbage disposal & install a stop valve for my water ionizer unit. Their first tech came out multiple times but couldn't complete the job to 100%. Thankfully Eric & Carlos were able to get to the bottom of it and swiftly replaced the valve. Our shower drain was clogged. After a night of fighting a loosing battle with a plunger, boiling water, baking soda and vinegar, I decided to give my aching muscles a break. I asked for a quote via YELP on a Saturday morning. Josh, the business owner, got back to me right away with a very reasonable quote. My wife called him back and arranged for a plumber to come out. I'm always mindful of how contractors treat my soft-spoken wife when I'm not there, and whether the quality of work or the price will be different. The plumber was very friendly, polite and professional--he even offered to take his shoes off and clean the shower afterwards. In a very short time the drain was cleaned. tl:dr; Other companies have stronger hydro-jets and smaller line scopes (cameras). Shop around and don't take the first quote. Owners update has a number of false statements. Come on, you seriously messed up. It's not personal, but if this doesn't warrant one-star, what does? Your $8800 quote plus $2000 for secondary contractors was solved with 5-minutes of hydro-jetting work from another company. It's also hard to reconcile the fact that 3-people from your company were onboard with digging up my kitchen and driveway over 5-days. I can come up with two explanations for how this could happen - neither of them are particularly nice. To clarify some mistakes in the response: 1) I do not have Rooter and Plumbing Masters mixed up with another company. I have invoice(s) to prove this. 2) The pipe is not broken and never was. While it is factually correct that all pipes will eventually break (great point /s), mine has not. I have a video to prove this. 3) The kitchen pipe is not too small to scope. Again, the second company had no problems scoping this line. 4) No company hydro-jetted my line before Rooter and Plumbing "Masters". read more

The overall experience with this company is a three star but the additional star goes out to the Arturo. I originally had a slow down with the kitchen sink so I contacted them, the tech Lee came out to preform a snack then recommended to do a hydro jet. I think they should have given me more discount because the issue of my slow down was not due to the actions they performed and I was charged on the snake then the hydro jet on the second day. I told Lee on both visits that I believe the issue was above ground (as I have been told previously) but he trusted himself more than he trusted the owner so no full inspection was done. Then less than a week after the jobs, my kitchen sick was completely clogged. Arturo was the tech that came out next and he came on time and work was done in a timely manner. He was very personable and listened to the customer. I appreciate his service. As for the owner Josh, he is very responsible and very on top of things.
