One of the best DC brunch deals! Came here to catch up with a friend and really enjoyed their selections. Super helpful that its a pre fixe menu with a variety of options. The ambiance is calm and inviting. Will definitely be back!

My kids really like Medium Rare in Cleveland Park, so for Mother's Day they invited me to their favorite restaurant! Who doesn't love two helpings of steak frites and delicious sauce? Tonight we got our seconds, then before we knew it someone was piling on a third helping, so bonus! Some pics of my gorgeous kids over the years, eating two servings of steak at Medium Rare!

What a value in the DC area! Bottomless brunch that includes mimosas, steak and an appetizer! Steak was cooked well and the entire meal was just great. Staff was also attentive! I would highly recommend for a day out with friends!

First time trying Medium Rare after seeing it on TikTok and I must say that I was impressed! I went for brunch and got the steak and eggs with a side of French toast. The steak was cooked medium and the sauce is a game changer! The employees and servers were welcoming and attentive. And the restaurant offered a patio and spacious indoor seating. We started outside but it was a little chilly so they sat us inside.

yes they literally serve one course: salad and steak & fries. i was skeptical when a coworker brought me here but i was blown away by how good steak could get?!? i came back recently and i have to say having your steak cooked medium rare (haha get it?) is the way to go (i chose medium well the second time). the juiciness of the pink center blends seamlessly with the steak sauce. it turns a typically dryer dish into one with different textures! pair it with your favorite wine and it's sure to hit the spot. very creative restaurant and i will come back when i crave a nice steak :)

Excellent food and service. Loved that the prefix meal was so simple, but so good, and family-style serving (being able to have "seconds" of the steak and fries was lovely). The ambiance is warm and inviting, very simple and intimate. There were multiple birthdays being celebrated when I went and everyone clapped for and celebrated each other. It was a really nice energy. The restaurant also allowed my group (about 10 people) to bring in a homemade birthday cake, which they cut and served for us.

Really good food. Great atmosphere and good service. We really enjoyed this place and my fiance comes here everytime he travels to DC for work!

We had the Sunday Brunch at Medium Rare. It was great and the service was fantastic. We were one of the first ones there and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We ordered the French toast and the steak frites and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Cute concept for sure and I really can't be mad at bottomless drinks for 1$. The brunch only gives you one serving of steak but that was enough to make me full. The steak wasn't anything amazing but it was sous vide so the texture was tender and the sauce was good. Not the best steak I've ever had but for the price it wasn't bad. The service was a bit slow and ignored us a few times but overall good experience

Their brunch is such a good deal, like $35 for bottomless drinks, a starter, and an entree?? Absolutely fabulous. I got the fruit parfait, steak and eggs, and some bottomless mimosas to sip on. What's nice about the deal too is that you don't even have to stick with a single drink, but I'm a big mimosa girly so I stuck with that the whole time. The parfait was delightful, but I do wish there was fresh fruit in it instead of dried fruits. The steak and fries were amazing. I wasn't a fan of my eggs; I asked for them to be poached and oddly the yolks were completely set and the whites were gelatinous. I wish I'd opted for just the steak frites. I also got to try a bite of their French toast and it was insanely sweet. It's a nice casual spot with flexible brunch options! The only issue was service was honestly a little slow, but at least with the mimosas they left the bottle of champagne opened at your table.

Celebrated my best friend's new job offer here last night and we split the appetizer (mushrooms) and dessert (key lime pie) amongst 3 of us. The steak and frites go really well with the sauce, which becomes a bit too salty along the way, but it's also a taste that we can't do without. I was awed by the generous portion of steak and frites which got us stuffed to the brim. This set meal also comes with artisan bread and salad. We topped it off with drinks - tried the red wine, margarita and sangria, and concluded with the popular key lime pie. The margarita was very refreshing and a great complement to the meal itself. The bathroom also has an audio of French phrases seemingly teaching you how to flirt? Lol. It was my first time here and my best friend bought us the meal. Won't be my last!

I just don't want to pull the chef into this abomination of an experience. I'm an Equinox member (one floor below) and live in the Palisades nearby so I'd been curious to check this place out since the photos online intrigued me. I've been eating and drinking in DC for the last 16 years and The Ridge Club bar and restaurant provided the worst service I've experienced anywhere. I came in with two other female friends around 7pm on a Saturday night. There were 4 people at a bar, and 1 table of 4 in the entire restaurant. Pretty quiet for a Saturday night, to say the least. We waited at the bar for 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) while the bartender ignored us, it appeared he was working on a tab. He looked up for a second and I asked if we could have a drink menu, he looked away. There was no hostess at the entrance of the restaurant to ask for anything, and no menus just laying around for us to grab. 5 more minutes passed, and my friends and I tried to figure out what to do. It was a last-minute choice to come to The Ridge Club, so we knew all decent places wouldn't have reservations available, and I didn't feel like getting back in the car and driving us elsewhere, so we decided to try and stick it out. Two more people came in, and the bartender went straight to them, and asked if he could get them anything to drink. This now brings the total at the bar to 6 people. Still very empty. I ask him again if we can have the drink menu and he lightly tossed it to me, still with no words, then disappeared. It was shocking, and at this point, laughable. What was going on?! The behavior felt downright snooty, which is not a common experience I personally have in DC, but the air of ... I can't really put my finger on it.... distaste (?) for us was reeking from the bartender. We had just been silently standing there, and for lack of better description, it felt like he didn't want to serve us specifically, which I can't say is an experience I've had before. The bartender then was nowhere to be found, and another man came out and asked for our drink order. He took our order and the drinks were handed to us a few minutes later. This is after 20-25 minutes waiting. This man made a comment that we could use the little straws they just got in for our drink, but "don't worry, they're not little coke-type straws or anything [not something that had crossed my mind, that I'd be using the straws for cocaine that night, but I digress], so you should try them out." Is it not common to use short straws with small cocktails...? Just added to the weirdness of the place. We had our drinks outside, which despite it being a super-beautiful location, was totally empty (can't imagine why! had others experienced the same service we had?), and since we'd already told a friend of ours to meet us there for dinner, we committed to the dining. The same original bartender was also our server, so he had to acknowledge us! Success! The food itself was good. The service left much to be desired. It felt as though we were an irritation to him (and as one of three tables with people at it, in an empty restaurant), I'm having a hard time understanding this. This place is gorgeous. Beautiful rooftop, nice ambience. Good food, good drink, TERRIBLE service. I frequently upper NW DC restaurants and bars and have a lot of friends who do, as well, and I was especially hoping for a positive experience since I workout at Equinox several times a week and thought this could be a great place to go afterward occasionally. I have several friends considering joining the club (for the pool). I will advise them otherwise, if the service does not change. Not that I'll be coming back any time soon to try it. If City Ridge Club wants to be a presence with those of us in Upper NW DC, the server needs to drop the attitude. My friends and I left after dinner, laughing about if maybe he just didn't like us (?), was he just in a bad mood? Did he not feel like working that night? It became an ongoing joke, because he was just SO rude and I still am appalled that we waited nearly 20-25 minutes for a drink. Not sure there's much else to say... hope this changes. It's too bad. Had a lot of potential. Don't be so snobby.

The location is great, and the decor makes you feel very comfortable, almost homey. It has a contemporary upscale interior and seating is mostly spacious - except for the rows of two tops. Luckily the hostess must have read my mind and seated us in my favorite curved banquette - a more comfortable and private space. The RW menu turned out to be a bit confusing - it was different from the one I saw online - the online version was $40 for dinner but with most mains with up to $10 add-ons, the only one without the add-on was the trout which I was planning to order. However the menus at the restaurant were completely different. Now there were two options one for $40 and one for $55 (with no more add-ons, as well as no more bass which with the add on would have been $50) but the trout was now only Included in the $55 version. So I ended up with pasta instead. The switch wasn't a deal breaker for us but I can imagine it causing problems for others especially it's not just switching dishes but also prices. Anyway, despite the initial confusion with different menus we had a good time as both food and service were excellent (and I liked our seating which definitely mitigated the menu issue). Note that like many other restaurants in the area they now automatically include a 20% service charge which is prominently shown in the check so additional tip is appreciated but not required.

Perhaps a luxurious dish like steak au poivre is not longer affordable? Well then, how about Burger Au Poivre? With top quality toppings creatively prepared: grilled oyster mushrooms, gruyere and white cheddar cheese, and grilled vincotta marinated onions. Oh my word. All of it was beautifully plated on a bed of cracked peppercorn sauce. Of course the meat itself was of excellent quality, perfectly cooked to order at medium rare. At $31 it is not cheap, but I think a bargain for a meal that sends you over the moon. An equivalent quality steak would have been exorbitant. We paired it with asparagus tempura (also excellent), a nice bottle of Montepulciano de Abruzzo, and for dessert, apple crisp. I also truly appreciate that the portions are generous. Another thing that has become rare these days. Given the service and unique ambience, this is a special occasion restaurant that is fantastic bang for the "Buck," while also casual enough for date-night any day of the week.
