One of the best DC brunch deals! Came here to catch up with a friend and really enjoyed their selections. Super helpful that its a pre fixe menu with a variety of options. The ambiance is calm and inviting. Will definitely be back!

My kids really like Medium Rare in Cleveland Park, so for Mother's Day they invited me to their favorite restaurant! Who doesn't love two helpings of steak frites and delicious sauce? Tonight we got our seconds, then before we knew it someone was piling on a third helping, so bonus! Some pics of my gorgeous kids over the years, eating two servings of steak at Medium Rare!

What a value in the DC area! Bottomless brunch that includes mimosas, steak and an appetizer! Steak was cooked well and the entire meal was just great. Staff was also attentive! I would highly recommend for a day out with friends!

First time trying Medium Rare after seeing it on TikTok and I must say that I was impressed! I went for brunch and got the steak and eggs with a side of French toast. The steak was cooked medium and the sauce is a game changer! The employees and servers were welcoming and attentive. And the restaurant offered a patio and spacious indoor seating. We started outside but it was a little chilly so they sat us inside.

yes they literally serve one course: salad and steak & fries. i was skeptical when a coworker brought me here but i was blown away by how good steak could get?!? i came back recently and i have to say having your steak cooked medium rare (haha get it?) is the way to go (i chose medium well the second time). the juiciness of the pink center blends seamlessly with the steak sauce. it turns a typically dryer dish into one with different textures! pair it with your favorite wine and it's sure to hit the spot. very creative restaurant and i will come back when i crave a nice steak :)

We had the Sunday Brunch at Medium Rare. It was great and the service was fantastic. We were one of the first ones there and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. We ordered the French toast and the steak frites and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Loved that the prefix meal was so simple, but so good, and family-style serving (being able to have "seconds" of the steak and fries was lovely). The ambiance is warm and inviting, very simple and intimate. There were multiple birthdays being celebrated when I went and everyone clapped for and celebrated each other. It was a really nice energy. The restaurant also allowed my group (about 10 people) to bring in a homemade birthday cake, which they cut and served for us.

Cute concept for sure and I really can't be mad at bottomless drinks for 1$. The brunch only gives you one serving of steak but that was enough to make me full. The steak wasn't anything amazing but it was sous vide so the texture was tender and the sauce was good. Not the best steak I've ever had but for the price it wasn't bad. The service was a bit slow and ignored us a few times but overall good experience

Really good food. Great atmosphere and good service. We really enjoyed this place and my fiance comes here everytime he travels to DC for work!

Their brunch is such a good deal, like $35 for bottomless drinks, a starter, and an entree?? Absolutely fabulous. I got the fruit parfait, steak and eggs, and some bottomless mimosas to sip on. What's nice about the deal too is that you don't even have to stick with a single drink, but I'm a big mimosa girly so I stuck with that the whole time. The parfait was delightful, but I do wish there was fresh fruit in it instead of dried fruits. The steak and fries were amazing. I wasn't a fan of my eggs; I asked for them to be poached and oddly the yolks were completely set and the whites were gelatinous. I wish I'd opted for just the steak frites. I also got to try a bite of their French toast and it was insanely sweet. It's a nice casual spot with flexible brunch options! The only issue was service was honestly a little slow, but at least with the mimosas they left the bottle of champagne opened at your table.

Celebrated my best friend's new job offer here last night and we split the appetizer (mushrooms) and dessert (key lime pie) amongst 3 of us. The steak and frites go really well with the sauce, which becomes a bit too salty along the way, but it's also a taste that we can't do without. I was awed by the generous portion of steak and frites which got us stuffed to the brim. This set meal also comes with artisan bread and salad. We topped it off with drinks - tried the red wine, margarita and sangria, and concluded with the popular key lime pie. The margarita was very refreshing and a great complement to the meal itself. The bathroom also has an audio of French phrases seemingly teaching you how to flirt? Lol. It was my first time here and my best friend bought us the meal. Won't be my last!

They are so good. Order them medium-rare. It's so tender and flavorful. You honestly can't go wrong with any of their steaks. You can also add the Kona crust or porcini rub to any of their steaks as well. I actually had their Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter last night for dinner (4/24/2026). Let me tell you, this was one of the best fish I've had. The fish was so good - melt in your mouth goodness. The miso sauce complements this dish so well. For sides, the creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and Au Gratin Potatoes are my favorites. For dessert, the Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake is the one to get. We were seated right away in a booth near the bar area. We were there to take advantage of a promotion, wagyu and wines event. One could order a Wagyu burger platter (3 different varieties) that came with sea salt fries. Cost would be $35 with the wine, $10 less without the wine. The burger would be paired with Orin Swift red wines (4 different kinds). The waitstaff also provided a happy hour as well as regular dinner menu for those who want options. We got the Wagyu. I ordered the bleu cheese and truffle burger with the Cabernet Sauvignon. We also added the mushroom truffle arancini appetizer from the happy hour menu. Minutes after ordering we got the complimentary bread basket. It was warm and covered by a white napkin. It included crisp flatbread, 2 pieces of onion focaccia, 2 poppyseed rolls and 2 pieces of brown bread with raisins. Bread was tender on the inside and slightly chewy on the outside, very fresh. Every type was delicious. The arancini were gold ball sized (5) and topped with Parmesan sitting on a thick rich sauce. The interior had creamy risotto and black mushroom. A great starter and not too heavy. The burgers were thick patties (cooked medium) with a perfect outside char. Inside was lightly pink and very juicy. It was topped by blue cheese, truffle, Bibb lettuce, tomato and pickles, topped by a poppyseed brioche bun. Was rich and yummy, everything went well together. Fries were crisp. My companion had the mushroom Swiss burger and enjoyed. Wine was smooth, fruity and had great depth, with no bitterness. It shone almost as much as the Wagyu. Service was excellent and gracious. Though the dining area got full it never got noisy. A great place for a romantic dinner or drinks with colleagues.

I ordered a dirty martini and was surprised they only had Tito's, but it didn't disappoint. I also had an espresso martini; it didn't come with the traditional coffee bean garnish, which surprised me, but it was still decent. Honestly, no complaints about the drinks overall. My friend ordered a Moscow mule, and once again I was surprised they didn't serve it in a mule cup, but the flavor was excellent. They start you off with bread, which was good, followed by a salad. I asked for the dressing on the side, and it had the perfect amount of flavor--very enjoyable. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it (medium), but unfortunately it arrived cold. I really dislike cold food, but I decided to eat it anyway. I asked for the gravy on the side, which was delicious, though I preferred it more on the fries than on the steak itself. A pleasant surprise was receiving a second round of steak and fries, which honestly became the highlight of my dinner. The steak that time was slightly more cooked than I wanted, but the server quickly brought me a freshly cooked one that was perfect--and hot this time--which I really appreciated. Even though I was skeptical about the limited menu, the food was solid, and I can see why people enjoy coming here. The biggest downside is that they don't offer a QR code or validation discount for the parking garage right up the street. Other than that, it's a well-deserved 4 stars.

Boy, does she look beautiful now!!! Last time I reviewed this restaurant, I was underwhelmed by the dining room. It was generic, dated and - my main memory - the floor was greasy and slippery. Now, the renovations show a beautiful new restaurant with high end finishes and fancy decor. Whoever redecorated this place did a fabulous job! So, I take back my old review and state very clearly that Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda is stunning, first rate and very high end looking. The food was very good. We started with escargot and mussels. The mussels were a bit bland in my opinion. Yes, there was garlic, yes, there was onion, yes there was wine but the overall flavor was just sort of mediocre. The escargot, on the other hand, were beautifully cooked, prepared and seasoned. The garlic and other seasonings turned what is really just a garden pest into delightful little bite of intense flavor. I loved them! For our main courses, 3 of us got beef. Of course, it was well prepared. The French fries were crisp, hot and lightly salted. I did not want to share them. My zero-proof drink was lovely! I had the grapefruit cooler and it was a perfect balance of tart, sweet and bubbly. This place paid a lot of attention to a non-alcoholic beverage. That says a lot to me!!! The service was not up to the beautiful appearance of the dining room. We had spotty attention and a lack of focus from our waiter. At the end of the evening, they really rushed us out. But, overall, I am impressed with what has happened at Mon Ami Gabi. Will I be back? Oh yes! Do I recommend it? Definitely!
