The burgers were absolutely delicious! The patty tasted homemade, and the bun was soft with just the right touch of sweetness. The venue itself has a casual, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. One interesting detail: when we asked for tomatoes on our burgers, we were told that the owner doesn't like tomatoes and therefore doesn't serve them. While we found that a bit amusing, the tomato was honestly the only thing missing from an otherwise perfect burger. So, if you're a tomato lover, you might want to bring your own--just kidding... sort of! Sliders are good, flautas are excellent but those thighmasters are to write about! We also got queso blanco and enough food for a 4 year old's party. Kids loved the sliders and queso and the adults loved everything. The spicy ketchup and the Smokey mayo are well seasoned. The pickles are a treat too crunchy and tasty. I've driven by this place so many times and had an hour to spare between appointments and was hungry, so stopped in. I didn't feel like a burger though so I got the Classic Coney hotdog which is full of Detroit style chili (thick meat chili with no beans), and loaded with red onions and shredded cheddar cheese, then topped with mustard. It was delicious and filling. It Truly was like a dog you'd get at a Coney's in Detroit, MI. IYKYK. Then I heard you had to try the latke here, so I got Bubbe's OG Latkes which is 2 round thick potato pancakes! It came with sour cream and Smutz smoky aoli sauce on the side. The fun atmosphere and yummy food here is just a proper Austin favorite. I usually get the featured burger, or sometimes the original jewboy burger. The soft brioche buns fall apart with cheese and sauce, so I recommend requesting toasted buns. Ah! The Beef Burger! I've heard so many great recommendations for Jewboy and stopped in for lunch. Service was professional but not kind. It's counter service and the worker recommended The Yenta. I also got a side of fries with it. The Yenta burger was good but not great. Overall, I really enjoyed how simple and delicious it was. I wish the burger was thicker and had more beef, I really wanted a large thick burger but this one was sort of thin and small. The fries were perfectly crisp and fresh but not worth $7. This is one awesome burger joint. Parking is the hardest part... but once inside you won't mind the parking hustle/shuffle. Inside and outdoor seating area. You order at the counter. The text when your order is ready. We got the traditional Jewboy and the Oy Vay (hatch chilies and pepper jack cheese) with 1/2 and 1/2 tots and fries. Mexican coke (they recycle!) The juicy burger was topped with house made pastrami and kraut. Both additions were not overly salty or overpowering and the 1000 island dressing/ mustard were the perfect amount. I actually added some schmutz house sauce to my burger lol We also added tater tots and crinkle fries and they were delicious - perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ordered various latkes- they were ok, we preferred the fries and tots more. Loved the spicy ketchup and schmutz! Sat outdoors in the beautiful mild sun and enjoyed our food. I had a lunch here in early January after having seen news stories about this Austin burger joint. It is in its own building with both indoor and outdoor courtyard seating. Parking is somewhat limited in their small lot or you can find some street parking. I ordered at the counter the Jewboy burger which is their standard burger for $11. Crinkle cut fries were $4.50 and a fountain drink another $3. There was no combo option. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The burger was dressed with lettuce, pickles, mustard and a slice of cheddar cheese. It was a big burger and greasy which made it a little sloppy to hold. Taste wise it was ok but I wanted more beef flavor (3). The fries were hot and very good taste wise. I enjoyed them. While the crinkle cut fries were very good the burger slightly underwhelmed for me. And since this is a burger place that causes me to give a 3 score overall. Still, I would be consider to return. Went there last weekend. We arrived early to avoid the normal lines. This is a very neat place that has been around for a while. It is very hard to park but everything else is top shelf. The staff if friendly and also efficient. The counter service is quick and food is fast. The burger are well made and as hot and fresh as you could want. My son and I shared an order of fries and had ton left over. They were great but way more than we needed to eat. The restaurant has lots of throw back pictures on the wall to the ambiance is perfect. My family found ourselves in Austin, TX in January 2026 over MLK weekend. We got some recommendations from a friend who knows good food, and one of those was Jewboy Burger. The name threw me off at first, but after seeing the Yelp reviews, we got excited and decided to give it a try. Since it was our first time, we decided to order some standard items including the Jewboy Burger, Yenta, fries and tater tots. Boy, it was good food. It's not the cheapest burger joint, but it's also not priced at the gourmet level though the taste was outstanding. We arrived for a late lunch on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. We found street parking nearby - no issue there. We got pretty lucky though. The line in front of us was just a handful of people deep, but after we ordered, 20 more people showed up within minutes and the line was out the door. The ambiance was cool. Decently clean for a burger joint. We found a table for 4 easily, and there were lots of outdoor seating options as well though it was a bit chilly outside for that. Food, again, was spectacular. I am thoroughly convinced that 80/20 is the best patty fora perfect burger. And lastly, service was fine - nothing interesting here to mention. All in all, if you can get past the interesting name of the burger joint, if you're in the area and you want a good burger, this is one of the best in Austin. Enjoy! read more

Was excited for this spot but ended up mostly disappointed. First and foremost, thanks for the hair embedded in my potato latke. See photo. The hatch green chile latke was actually the best thing I tried so I want to give credit. Also, the menu is awesome and everything sounds delicious. I found my burger pretty underwhelming. Not flavorful enough and not even all that smashed. Not juicy, no crispy edges, nothing that stood out in terms of texture. Wasn't bad but wasn't anything special. My niece enjoyed her plain dog, another one liked her chicken flautas. I got to try a little sample of her queso and would probably order it next time had we not gotten so many sides. Doing a guys trip to the Austin area to try bbq for the weekend. I was traveling with a few nice Jewish boys so this seemed like a natural stop. We really loved the decor with the nods to nostalgic pro wrestling with subtle hints of Judaica throughout. Before I ordered I met Mo, the owner of the establishment who can best be described as Jewish Santa Claus. He asked what brought us to town and gave us several great bbq recommendations to try. We ordered the Jew boy burger, the yenta, and the goyim. All of the burgers were insanely good. What made the difference for us was the quality of the beef. Mo says it is a beef that he sources regionally. Have to be honest, Texas beef just tastes better than Californian. Bun was soft and with a nice bite. Mo says his secret to a moist burger is cooking the patty with grilled onions almost mashing it on the grill top. But not too thin like a smash burger. The sides were great. Their deep fryer has some serious heat. The onion rings were crisp and tasty with a batter that stuck to the onion with every bite. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Crinkle cut goodness. The best thing though may have been the latkes. How can you goto a Jewish establishment without trying the latkes. They were so crispy and crunchy with a great char flavor on the outside that sort of reminded me of New Haven apizza flavor. The inside however was so soft with a great potato texture with excellent flavor. He adds garlic powder. I asked Mo "how is this possible??" He says he bakes them first, puts them in the walk in to get cold and then deep fries them so they get the brunt crunch but the center remains soft but not overdone. Recommend. The vibe of this place is amazing, the art on the walls and the music create such a cool atmosphere. While waiting for food, I found myself completely absorbed in the decor. If I were rating just the vibe, it would be 5/5. But the food... not so much. I ordered the burger of the month and it was just okay, with the patty a bit dry. My husband got the JewBoy burger, and it was pretty bad completely overpowered by mustard. The pickles in both burgers were very strong, and the cheese tasted cheap and plasticky. We also tried the latkes for the first time, but they were way hard and dry, with a sauce that didn't help at all. Definitely not something we'd order again. Stopped by JewBoy Burgers and couldn't have been happier with the experience. I went for "The Mutt", their take on a classic chili cheese hot dog, and it was phenomenal. Messy in the best way and packed with flavor. I also tried the chips and queso (do yourself a favor and add the ground beef) and it was some of the best I've had, rich and hearty enough to stand on its own.
