We placed a pickup order online, it was accurate & packed well. Staff was very friendly. The burgers & tater tot's were good, not great, the meat definitely needed seasoning.

Man Mo you did it !!!! The Popeye burger is over the top !!!! My son and I each enjoyed one today. The only change for me was to sub the provolone with pepper jack. It was spot on. I spoke with several employees today and they're all loving it as well !!! Great Job Bro !!!

I've driven by this place so many times and had an hour to spare between appointments and was hungry, so stopped in. I didn't feel like a burger though so I got the Classic Coney hotdog which is full of Detroit style chili (thick meat chili with no beans), and loaded with red onions and shredded cheddar cheese, then topped with mustard. It was delicious and filling. It Truly was like a dog you'd get at a Coney's in Detroit, MI. IYKYK. Then I heard you had to try the latke here, so I got Bubbe's OG Latkes which is 2 round thick potato pancakes! It came with sour cream and Smutz smoky aoli sauce on the side. I tried it both ways and it was good. But really it was best with that cold creamy sour cream that goes so well with the potato flavor. They also have great drinks which are refillable for free while you dine in. And I love the chill vibe and decor. Great artwork and old photos. Very funky! I was a big fan of their sandwich restaurant on Burnet (which closed), so I'm glad I finally got to check out this spot! Great place!!

The fun atmosphere and yummy food here is just a proper Austin favorite. I usually get the featured burger, or sometimes the original jewboy burger. The soft brioche buns fall apart with cheese and sauce, so I recommend requesting toasted buns. In this visit, I had to try the Drunk Jewboy, which is another I hopes comes back to stay on the menu.

Shoutout to the awesome cashier Ashley who was super accommodating & sweet. She recommended The A$$hole from El Paso Burger and it was so delicious & flavorful! My partner got the Jewboy Burger and that was so good too. We shared a basket (half n half) of onion rings & fries (which was perfect for the two of us)! This burger spot did not disappoint and learning the history behind it was super cool. Also sitting inside in the cool AC during the hot afternoon was perfect! Will definitely stop by again!

Ah! The Beef Burger! I've heard so many great recommendations for Jewboy and stopped in for lunch. Service was professional but not kind. It's counter service and the worker recommended The Yenta. I also got a side of fries with it. The Yenta burger was good but not great. Overall, I really enjoyed how simple and delicious it was. I wish the burger was thicker and had more beef, I really wanted a large thick burger but this one was sort of thin and small. The fries were perfectly crisp and fresh but not worth $7. Not a place I would seek out again but I'm glad I can check it off my list!

Ok, so these burgers are legit. Made to order, great option and beer on tap if you'd like. A must try.

This is one awesome burger joint. Parking is the hardest part... but once inside you won't mind the parking hustle/shuffle. Inside and outdoor seating area. You order at the counter. The text when your order is ready. We got the traditional Jewboy and the Oy Vay (hatch chilies and pepper jack cheese) with 1/2 and 1/2 tots and fries. Mexican coke (they recycle!) I'm not much of an outdoor eater but the inside was full. However it was a nice cool day in Austin and the bugs weren't too annoying. Definitely will return to try other menu items!

It was a clean area to eat with choices of high tops, booths or outdoor covered seating. Parking is limited but there is street parking available. You order at counter and they call your name. Beer and other beverages are available. The menu is diverse with hamburgers ,hotdogs and burrito. It was good. A nice casual place with lots of character.

A definite must when in Austin! It's not your ordinary burger, and if you like, they'll top your burger off with a latke or house made pastrami. And not only do they serve burgers, but burritos, hot dogs, flautas, and sides. The line to order can get long, but it moved steadily. Seating indoors and out, and parking was limited. We ended parking in the neighborhood. I had seen this place posted on many IG foodie sites and couldn't wait to try. I ordered the Rio Grande Rueben without cheese. Yummo!! The juicy burger was topped with house made pastrami and kraut. Both additions were not overly salty or overpowering and the 1000 island dressing/ mustard were the perfect amount. I actually added some schmutz house sauce to my burger lol We also added tater tots and crinkle fries and they were delicious - perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ordered various latkes- they were ok, we preferred the fries and tots more. Loved the spicy ketchup and schmutz! Sat outdoors in the beautiful mild sun and enjoyed our food. Tasty food, excellent friendly service, and they offer military discount! We'll be back when in the area : )

I had a lunch here in early January after having seen news stories about this Austin burger joint. It is in its own building with both indoor and outdoor courtyard seating. Parking is somewhat limited in their small lot or you can find some street parking. I ordered at the counter the Jewboy burger which is their standard burger for $11. Crinkle cut fries were $4.50 and a fountain drink another $3. There was no combo option. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. The burger was dressed with lettuce, pickles, mustard and a slice of cheddar cheese. It was a big burger and greasy which made it a little sloppy to hold. Taste wise it was ok but I wanted more beef flavor (3). The fries were hot and very good taste wise. I enjoyed them. While the crinkle cut fries were very good the burger slightly underwhelmed for me. And since this is a burger place that causes me to give a 3 score overall. Still, I would be consider to return. They do sell beer here.

    Lots of fries. Great burgers

Went there last weekend. We arrived early to avoid the normal lines. This is a very neat place that has been around for a while. It is very hard to park but everything else is top shelf. The staff if friendly and also efficient. The counter service is quick and food is fast. The burger are well made and as hot and fresh as you could want. My son and I shared an order of fries and had ton left over. They were great but way more than we needed to eat. The restaurant has lots of throw back pictures on the wall to the ambiance is perfect. Can't wait to come back.

My family found ourselves in Austin, TX in January 2026 over MLK weekend. We got some recommendations from a friend who knows good food, and one of those was Jewboy Burger. The name threw me off at first, but after seeing the Yelp reviews, we got excited and decided to give it a try. Since it was our first time, we decided to order some standard items including the Jewboy Burger, Yenta, fries and tater tots. Boy, it was good food. It's not the cheapest burger joint, but it's also not priced at the gourmet level though the taste was outstanding. We arrived for a late lunch on a Sunday around 1:30 pm. We found street parking nearby - no issue there. We got pretty lucky though. The line in front of us was just a handful of people deep, but after we ordered, 20 more people showed up within minutes and the line was out the door. The ambiance was cool. Decently clean for a burger joint. We found a table for 4 easily, and there were lots of outdoor seating options as well though it was a bit chilly outside for that. Food, again, was spectacular. I am thoroughly convinced that 80/20 is the best patty fora perfect burger. And lastly, service was fine - nothing interesting here to mention. All in all, if you can get past the interesting name of the burger joint, if you're in the area and you want a good burger, this is one of the best in Austin. Enjoy!

I ordered the migas, and the amount of onions in the dish was overwhelming--so much so that it felt like I had ordered a plate of onions rather than migas. The sauce was extremely rich, making it difficult to enjoy or finish the meal. That said, the restaurant itself is adorable, and our waiter was fantastic. The service and atmosphere were both great. While this breakfast wasn't a hit for me, I'll still return and stick with favorites like the fried green tomatoes and taquito salad, which were excellent during my previous visit.

From the moment we walked in, the hostess gave us a warm welcome, and we were seated right away. It took our server a little while to get to our table, but she arrived with waters in hand, which was appreciated. We started with the fried green tomatoes. They were good, though I've definitely had better back home in Houston. For my entrée, I ordered the Badass Bacon Plate, and it absolutely hit the spot. Everything on the plate was delicious, from the thick-cut slab of bacon to the perfectly cooked scrambled eggs. I especially appreciated that the eggs were seasoned before cooking, something I don't often see at restaurants, and it really made a difference. The hash brown casserole was also fantastic and tied the whole meal together. My brother ordered the fried chicken biscuit and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I would definitely recommend Phoebe's Diner if you're looking for a satisfying breakfast or brunch in Austin.

The sausage gravy served with the chicken fried chicken was a little unexpected, but I actually enjoyed the subtle kick of spice it had. The collard greens weren't for me, but that's more of a personal preference since I've never been a fan. The mac and cheese, however, felt like it was missing something. Maybe it was the blend of cheeses, but it wasn't the classic, ooey-gooey diner-style mac and cheese we were hoping for. My brother ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles had a fermented aroma and tangy flavor that caught us off guard. After speaking with the manager, she explained that they're made with a sourdough batter.
