My husband and I went to JDC to find out about getting wedding rings made, and there we met Kevin.

Don't bother with this company. I finally found my dream ring at this store, so my boyfriend paid…read morefor it in full so that he could propose to me with it... after 11 months, almost a whole year of back and forth with the employees telling him that it was almost ready, they told him finally that it couldn't be made with the right silver so they finally told him that it just simply wasn't going to happen because the last ring of that kind they "needed to show in store". How about the customer that was actually dropped $2,000 for it?? And his girl (me) who could have been happily engaged but was waiting on a ring that was never going to come. Now I'm here desperately trying to find a ring that compares to the one I had my heart set on because they bailed. So damn pissed, do not even try with these people.

I have a Fossil smart watch that had two ferrules which needed to be replaced. Ferrules are those…read morelittle pin bastards that hold watchband links together. One might think those are called 'pins' but, nay, they are called ferrules. I Googled "watch pins for fossil explorist hr gen 4" and Mr.Google suggested options that seem reasonable to my eyes, and, if Google says it and it kinda looks right, might as well run with it, correct? Negative. Thrice I attempted to buy, what appeared to be the right part, and thrice I was denied the pleasure of repairing my watch. I was annoyed, frustrated and consistently tardy to my many engagements. Damn time and its bastardly ways! Anihoo, being in a perpetual state of frustration and tardiness brought me to the lowely point of going to the mall in an effort to see if mall jewelers could help. First, and ever so erroneously, I went to call upon on Ben Bridge to see if they could do help. Umm...Ben Bridge isn't there anymore, but rather a jewelry store who's display cases are made of cardboard. To unpack that for a second, there is a place that sells "jewelry" that does not have shelving, but instead cardboard boxes and corrugated origami display cases. Nothing is locked up, there is no glass display cases and the wares were attached, to the oft crushed cardboard, by wire. That wasn't even the biggest shock. The place was packed full of people. Patrons were wandering to and fro, glancing this way and that, studying the product. In a corner of the cardboard warehouse there was a couple that, I believe, were trying on a engagement ring. The female, who appeared to be in her early 20's (and quite possibly at the pinnacle of a meth riddled bender) was staring longingly at a ring on her left ring finger and was chattering at the gentleman to her right. She attempted to lift her hand, fingers spread wide, to get a better gander of the "diamond" in the light, but was aggressively cut short on the ring elevation by the wire that had anchored it to the shelf. Luckily for the glowing sweaty bride to be, the shelf the ring was connected to, lifted off the ground a good 3 inches. An anchored cabinet/shelf/wire/ring combo would surely have severed the ring finger from this poor twitchy lass. I have really digressed. With Ben Bridge no longer being an option, I went to Zales jewelers next. I figured Zales would have a pretty good shot at having the parts I needed. I mean seriously, their name sounds pretty fancy. Almost European, if you ask me, and we all know that them Europeans know their jewelry and diamonds and stuff. Hell, wasn't Leo DiCaprio's character in Blood Diamond European? Certainly the guys from Snatch were, well, except for the greedy American dude, but he flew to England for the hyjinx over that big diamond. What I'm trying to say it's a legit rationale. European=high society jewelry. Well, Zales didn't have the parts, but DID suggest I take it to a watch shop that is in downtown Kennewick, but....."they aren't open on Sundays." This all happened on Sunday, hence the reference and quote. I bet if we were in Europe they'd be open on Sundays *angry face. I knew there was another jewelry shop at the opposite part of the mall, so I doggedly set my mind on weaving through the myriad of surprisingly well dressed shoppers to check out the last viable option to fix my watch, at least I thought it was my last option. I stopped by Westfield Jewelers and sputtered out, "Do you replace broken watchband ferrules?" The attendant just looked at me. I could tell something was churning in the gray matter, but I could tell it wasn't much, so I kept walking. My child and I were about to leave the mall when I stumbled on Harry Ritchie Jewelers. I, almost preemptively dismissed myself when I asked if they were able to replace broken watch ferrules. Much toy surprise they stated they did. They quickly got to work on my watch, and even suggested my child and I continue shopping and come back when we were done. Ten minutes later it was fixed and at no charge. BRAVA! Wait. DiCaprio was from South Africa! Doy!

Back in 2020, I was in the market for a wedding dress. I hadn't quite begun my search when an ad…read morefor Blueberry popped up on my Instagram and I saw the MOST amazing dress. I gathered up my family and off we went to the bridal store. Upon arriving to Blueberry Bridal, we were greeted with a personalized, intimate experience. I showed the owner the dress I had seen online and she pulled that for me to try on, along with many other dresses. It was the best experience. The shop owner was so helpful, had an impeccably clean and organized shop, and took so much pride in her profession. I was thoroughly impressed, and left with an amazing wedding dress in order. Additionally, she was able to help me customize a veil based on one that she carried in store (I just had length added to it). Flash forward to this past winter, almost 2 years later, my dad's fiancé was looking for a wedding dress for their wedding. We went to several shops, but ended up at Blueberry, as well. The experience was just as wonderful, and with a quick timeline to have a dress ready for their wedding, the shop owner showed us to the dresses that could be bought off the rack. The choices were abundant and my now step-mother found her perfect dress as well. Plus, the owner remembered me from almost 2 years prior and was just as lovely. Even if you don't find your dream dress at Blueberry, I would highly recommend shopping here for your wedding dress. You won't regret it! 10/10 experience!
