This is a very expensive repair now, and something that doesn't get noticed until many many miles later when it's time for another oil change, and it gets noticed. Had to wait forever...not due to CV-19 either. Had to wait because the in front of me had issues that were taking forever. I became invisible to the staff. Cars kept pulling in to the two spaces next to me and out...in and out...I got frustrated and said something...I was waiting patiently and trying to be mindful of busy people at work, but at some point, it was absolutely ridiculous. It was my first time coming to any Jiffy Lube and they provided me with an awesome service. It's drive thru so you sit in your car while waiting under the designated path for certain services that you need. In my case, I needed a battery replacement. Before they offered me a battery replacement , they made sure that it is my battery problem before installing a brand new one. They offered two types of battery; one for two years and four years. I specifically chose 2 years. They also offered 24 months roadside assistance with battery replacement and towing. Definitely would come back for other services! At first I thought I hit something and caused the shield to hang so low underneath my car. I went to a repair shop and they said whoever took off the shield last improperly replaced a screw. Background: I am a girl and I don't know much about the mechanics of a car. I try not to get repairs done by myself because I feel like they always try to rip me off but I had no choice but to stop by here as my car started "shaking" on the road. I came into this Jiffy Lube 5 months ago after an overdue oil change with the oil light eventually turning on. My car was acting funky on so decided to stop by here since it was the closest in proximity. Initially just asked for an oil change but the girl that was working there told me that my car overheated and that she would need to add coolant and whatnot. (Whatever that meant because let's go back to my disclaimer: I'm a car noob). Ok sure. The initial quote was around $150 which I'm not even sure is fair but I'm not one to comment on that too much because I'm not sure of the average prices (I knew they were charging me $30 for the change and the rest is for whatever else they were doing to "fix" my car) 20 minutes later, the latina girl who served me comes back and tells me to come with her to take a look. She shows me that the liquid inside the chamber was bubbling which meant that there is a potential crack in my radiator and that I probably needed the whole thing switched out. (Reason for the overheating). Ok whatever I can't get it fixed there so I have to take it to another place tomorrow. Here comes the sketchy part (I feel like this deserves internal investigation from the company or something...). The girl pulls me aside and tells me.. hey I know how costly car repairs can cost and that's why I initially got into fixing them. The original quote is $150 but if you pay in CASH I can accept $100 for the job instead but we can't give you a receipt but rest assured that we performed the job on your car. OK OK OK. That sounds so sketchy. Why can't I get a receipt for the services that you performed? Are you pocketing the money if I pay you in cash? I asked her what the reason was that I could get this discount if I paid in cash and she kind of avoided the question and just said "It's something we do to help people out." In the end I did end up going to an ATM to grab $100 because I really did end up paying $50 less than the original $150 which was on the receipt inside the office. She accepted the money OUTSIDE of the cashier area maybe to avoid cameras? Every time I pass by this place now I always wonder if they're pocketing cash from other clients that come through. I'm sure they're fine for oil changes but whatever the heck happened with the whole cash thing should probably be looked into by management. read more

My daughter recently took her relatively new car for an oil change and unfortunately the technician failed to replace the oil plug causing her car to lose all its oil while driving. It could have ruined her engine. Luckily she heard a noise and stopped. We then had to have her car towed to our mechanic. This should never have happened. This was irresponsible of Jiffy Lube to not do the one job they specialize in correctly and safely. They have not refunded any of the costs which I believe is the least they can do. Went in Sunday to get an oil change as always. Went great as always but on Tuesday I noticed my car leaking oil. I called them and they immediately took care of me. They sent a tech named Jorge over to my workplace to check my oil and put oil in my car so I could go over to the shop safely. He was very caring and I could tell I was in good hands. The manager Lazaro took care of the rest and gave me a refund for the inconvenience which was very kind of him.
