This place is an absolute scam, and the manager here, Art, is an absolute joke. He has no customer service skills, intelligence, or qualifications to be an owner. Maybe for Firestone his level of incompetence fits the bill for management. Says a lot about this company and their low, low standards. My mom brought her car here to get an oil change on November 13, 2025. When my mom got the car back, she instantly noticed that the car looked like it had been searched--it was all disheveled, compartments were open, and none of it should have looked like that since they were only supposed to do an oil change. My mom kept an emergency fund in her car, and she noticed that it was stolen. There was $800 missing from her car. When we called Firestone a few hours ago, one of the employees told us that the owner was not in today but that he would be in tomorrow. I called again just a few minutes ago, and to my surprise, Art answered. So in addition to being thieves, the employees here are also liars. When I told Art the concern we had, he laughed in my face and told me he highly doubts that this had happened because it had never happened before. And that his technicians wouldn't do this. So instead of taking customer concerns seriously, he decides that it didn't happen and that you're a liar. When the members of his team are the ones who lied about him not being in today. Of course I know you shouldn't leave valuables in a car, but who would have thought that a "reputable" company like Firestone would employ technicians that would search through someone's car for valuables or cash? I certainly never thought so. Rest assured we have contacted the area manager and filed a formal complaint on Art and this location. We have also filed a police report. read more

Make an appointment for Oil Change at 3/2/2026 at 9 AM. Arrive at 8:45 AM check in with Miguel. I told Miguel that I will wait in the store. There's no customer waiting there. My car was pulled in at 10 for Oil Change after I ask Miguel why the appointment was set at 9 AM and only at 10 that my car was pulled in for Service. At first Miguel told me that my appointment is at 10 AM until I show him the confirmation on my phone that it was 9am. At about 10:30 AM. The Oil Change was done by the technician, he pull out my car to the front. I waited for another 10 minutes. Nothing happened. I asked Miguel when is he going to give me back my car then he start to move. Looking around Please do not go there. They don't need your business. You don't need the abuse. read more

Took my car to Firestone in Alhambra for a couple of dashboard lights -- TPMS and brakes. You'd think that means, "check the light, fix the issue." Nope. Apparently that translates to a $1,500 "service package" and a diagnostic fee for, wait for it... the light that was already on. Maybe its a mistake let me tell them nope its a scam they had zero.interest in fixing the damn light. The guy at the counter -- , with a wacky crocodile tattoo -- gave off major "this is how I eat" energy. Zero accountability, just smooth talk and blank stares while your bill skyrockets. Classic playbook: make it sound urgent, pile on random services, then shrug when you question the charges. Sketchy doesn't even begin to cover it. Let them run the diagnostic (if you must), then take your car ANYWHERE else. You'll pay half the price and actually get honest work. They did diagnose and fix my car. They were quick and communicative. What left me feeling a bit "icky" was the price. I spent about 900 to change a valve. I was told I also needed my spark plugs replaced, it was going to cost me 600$ to get it done here. I said no to this service bc I just spent 1k. I drive a ford maverick 2022, sparks plugs cost 25$. Realizing this made me feel like I overpaid for the valve replacement. read more

The technicians were great, unfortunately the management at the front were not. I made an appointment for one tire replacement, full rotation and alignment inspection. The invoice states the service should be completed within 2 hours - they didn't begin my service until then. After "showing I need an alignment the total job took 4 and half hours. Discounts were offered but my time is more important, so I expect them to give the same value again seeing how low the ratings have been recently. Even tho this is closer to my house, I'll never return to this location. read more

I had a puncture in one of my tires the other day and since I was desperate this was one of the 2 options I could think of that I could go to that could help me. I get there about 30 minutes prior to them closing but they didn't have anybody that could actually patch my tire. The guy that was working gave me a couple options, one was that he could switch my tire to the spare and then I could come back the next day. Or I could leave my car over night and the morning crew would be able to patch up my tire for me. I opted for the 2nd option and they would call me when it was ready in the morning. The time estimates that I was given was very broad but I had a feeling they were under promising and over delivering. Patching a tire doesn't take 40 minutes like they quoted me so it was fine. I was at their mercy anyway but it worked out in the end. All in all, it was a great experience. The team took great care of me and everything went well. read more

Deceitful and shameless practices! I got an oil change down the street at an independent shop. They told me I had 2 nails in one tire and a bubble in the other. So on January 4, 2025 I brought my car to Firestone Alhambra after making a 1pm appointment. . Once there, they told me that one tire needed replacing. I decided to replace all 4 tires. They called me later on and said my car needed an alignment. Fine. Got it. After a 5 hour wait told they told me that my car was ready. I live close by so just drove it home. The next morning Sunday I took my car on the freeway to Santa Barbara and it began to shudder and vibrate like crazy over 60mph. Had to turn back from my road trip and come home. The same day I brought it back to Firestone. They told me it was a 5 hour wait but they would check it. Okay. They said they needed to spin balance the tires again and to come back @2 pm. Picked it up. Was hard to road test bc of LA traffic and I take the streets to work That Saturday I drove to San Diego thinking all was good. Began shuddering like crazy over 65mph. Wtf?? I had to drive 50mph the entire way bc the shaking was giving me a headache. Took it to a Firestone on Convoy St. and told them what I just wrote. They said they would check it out. They called me and said none of the 4 tires were spin balanced and were all off! Basically Firestone Alhambra mounted the tires without even spin balancing them. Twice! Like I said even when I brought them back a second time they still didn't balance them. Unbelievable. They guys at Firestone Convoy fixed it and all is good. The fact I paid money for that service and Firestone Alhambra lied to me twice about doing work they never did, should make anyone think twice about going to this place. read more

Absolutely the worst location, I see where the poor reviews are coming from. First off, the location is set on a corner with no parking available, only side street parking. Even though in store they advertise to "ask us about this service" and if you want to add anything on don't bother. You'll get turned away and be told they can only do partial today and the other part another day even though your cars already being worked on. I was scheduled in for a tire rotation and alignment, I was thinking to myself since I'm getting the tires rotated I'll have them inspect the brakes since the wheels are off anyways, when I asked the guy said "can't do that it's a different mechanic and he's not here and it requires a different rack." So it takes 1 rack for an alignment, 1 rack to rotate the tires and 1 rack to check the brakes? - when the tires are already off from the rotation. It just doesn't make sense. On top of that he wanted me to come in again tomorrow to just check the brakes. Why would I. Waste my time and come back to check my brakes when my wheels are scheduled for rotation and you can check them while the wheels are already off? Ended up leaving and booking with the location in Glendale. read more

Had a really bad experience with this institution. That service is created to drain money out of customers, no real help. I tried ask for assistance twice with the minor issues when something happened unexpetedly, but all I got is a bigger problem. All they can really do is put some air in deflated wheels or change tires what will take lots of time and money. I asked them change a bulb in the front right side light, left a car as they can't do anything fast. Later manager called me and proposed a lot of issues they can fix what will be over 5k $. When I asked but what about my request the answer was: we will need 300$ just to check what's going on. That problem which they weren't able to fix in the other auto repair fixed for 20 $ and 5 minutes. Honestly this is huge upset how all those services work nowadays. read more

I made an appointment online for an full synthetic oil change at 4pm on a Friday. The guy said that it may take up to 1 and a half hours to change the oil. I wanted to ensure my Nissan Rouge could handle the road trip I was able to take and nothing needed to be fixed. My car has less than 70,000 so I'm assuming everything should be fine. Most places only take 30 minutes for an oil change so here's to me hoping it will be about the same. But looks like they had a lot going on and some repairs got backed up. It took approximately 50 minutes for my oil to be changed. I'm glad they over estimated the time and it was quicker than anticipated as I was sitting in the shop waiting. A few things I wish they did was replace the sticker in the car to let me know when I change my oil next and to tell me exactly where they parked my car after the change was complete. The guy just said, "it's parked in the front" and so I went and I didn't see it so I went towards the back. Another guy that just got off shift saw me and said, it's probably on the street because they don't park it in the back. Low and behold, it was down the block a good 200 feet from the front door. Overall, the process of getting an appointment was pretty easy, the coupon off the oil change online was nice, and the wait wasn't terrible. They (sorry, did not get the names of the 2 nice gentlemen working there) readily said pull up my car and will help me. My VW tires looked really low on air and I first went to the gas station to use their air pump which wasn't reading the tire pressure. This Firestone is the worst auto shop I ever been to. I did an oil change and also paid for the full vehicle inspection for my wife's Subaru Forester here. One week later, the car was leaking oil. We took it to the Subaru dealership and they said the last person to change the oil did not cap everything properly and that is what was causing the leak. Also, they found a nail in the front passenger tire. I specifically asked Firestone to look at that tire because it was reading low pressure but I refilled it before bringing it in. They said all the tires were fine! Not only is that bad service but also it is dangerous and reckless for them to do that. I will not be coming back here anymore. read more

This store is beyond helpful! I found myself with a flat tire on a late Sunday afternoon. I desperately needed it repaired and I arrived 15 minutes before closing. Feeling defeated and ready for them to tell me they couldn't help me as they were closing, I was pleasantly surprised when the manager and mechanic both agreed to stay after closing to help get me back on the road safely. This place just looks to rip you off. I had a nail in my tire so I took the car in. I didn't have an appointment so I knew I would have to wait, but when the guy, who I found out was the manager later, took my information down and inspected the car, I specifically asked him if it could be patched. I knew it could be because it wasn't anywhere near the sidewall, and he agreed and said yes it was repairable. THREE HOURS LATER when they finally took the car back, they proceed to tell me that it's too close to the sidewall and not repairable! Said I needed to get a new tire which is total BS. I said I wanted to take a look, and they didn't even take the tire off or anything, they just lifted it up on the jack. I said how could you know if you haven't even taken the tire off to inspect it??! They said they have strict policies. Totally Ridiculous! The manager should have told me straight up at the beginning when he went to take my car's information and inspect it, he saw EXACTLY where that nail was, but instead they made me wait THREE HOURS FOR NOTHING! And they had the audacity to tell me I can go to another repair shop that might be able to fix it... it was already 6pm!!!!!! I've had nails in my tires before so I knew they were just trying to rip me off. I told them to put on my spare and I got the hell out of there. My tire shop that I go to was closed on Mondays, of course I went there the next day after my whole nightmare ordeal with this Firestone and guess what... it was totally fixable. I told them what happened at Firestone and they agreed that it was nowhere near the sidewall and they were totally trying to rip me off. $20 fixed and out of there in 10 minutes. The business practice at this Firestone is a joke. And frankly, because I'm a girl and I went there alone, they thought they could pull a fast one on me. I went in for an oil change and also let them know that my tire pressure light had been on for a few days. They "checked the tires" and a few days after my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree letting me know my tire pressure was off again AND that I needed to check my engine. So, Not only was the tire pressure issue not resolved but there was also overlooked problems under my hood that could have been caught during the inspection THAT I PAID FOR. It's gets better, I BOUGHT all four tires at this Firestone location 7/2021 which means they are only a year old to be giving such problems. I am so dissatisfied with the inattentive service that's given at Firestone. I just bought 4 new tires and lifetime alignment a few weeks ago. I was satisfied with the service, I'm adjusting my review from 4 to 2 stars because my check engine light came on shortly after, I was out of town until today, so I went in to see if they could check/reset it. To be fair, the last time it came on it was just cause the gas cap was a little loose, but you need the machine to reset it. Which (in my experience) is a free service at most mechanic shops I've worked with. Anyway, I was told that's a diagnostic and it would be $105. I asked "just to reset the light?", He told me sir you don't understand we have to look up a code and that takes time, so it's $105 take it or leave it. So I left it of course, and went down the street to another shop that, surprise surprise, did it for free in the interest of customer service. I won't mention the spots on here out of courtesy, but I googled and called, there are 9 other shops within 20 minutes that do this service for free, so don't fall for the scam. And I'll be getting my next set of tires from one of them. read more

Been coming in here for the last 10 years for oil Change. Always had the regular oil change for my car the last 10 years and out of nowhere they cant do regular oil change but only synthetic. My past experiences with them were fairly good. Yesterday I went in for wheel alignment that I paid for already. The manager refused to do the work on my car unless I replace the front lower control arms on my car. They quoted over $2000 for the work which includes $1,562.20 in labor cost. Last night, I found this video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/QM4XU4CiXoA In the video, this gentleman took less than 5 minutes to remove one lower control.... Do I think the entire work of replacing 2 lower control arms will take 15+ hours? This morning, I took my car to get a second opinion from another auto mechanic. The second shop recommended me Not to perform this work at this time because the lower control arm ball joints/bushings are not in a condition that needs to be replaced immediately. The second shop quoted $200 labor cost for doing the same work. If you enjoy paying $1500 for $200 worth of work, this place will be your favorite auto service shop in town. If you have to put dinner on the table for your family, you might want to shop around for your next auto service. read more

Even if you have a Firestone brand tire if you didn't buy it from them they won't honor any prorated replacement even with a tire with less than 10,000 miles on it that needs replacing. They don't have tires in stock to replace and make you jump through hoops for any discounts versus other shops that just apply the discounts. I walked (read drove) in off the street like a damsel in distress, and the men that assisted me were attentive and helpful. There was nothing wrong after all with my tires, but they put air in them, and sent me on my way. I left, but decided to make an appointment for an alignment. They quoted me $109 for a single alignment, and $229 for a lifetime alignment. I think that's excellent as I frequently have to get alignments due to my teens sometimes borrowing my car (and I'll be darned if they don't love those curbs lol.) I show up to this Firestone 10 minutes before closing. They weren't able to patch my tire because where the leak was, it had a slow leak. My tires were 5 years old and the front 2 were not that great. They went out of their way to help me and install 4 brand new tires and also a new battery. Apparently I'm not the only one who had a bad experience with their bargain oil change. They overtightened the oil drain plug, stripping the threads and causing it to leak. It cost me $99 to have it fixed, so their bargain oil change turned out to cost more than expected. read more
