These guys are totally unorganized and do not communicate. I've been turned away for a safety inspection twice after calling and/or checking in advance on when the tech would be available. Then I spoke to a manager and he and the tech had an awkward conversation in front of the customers. Obviously they are under staffed and poorly managed. I want these guys to succeed and flourish, they are incredibly convenient for the area, but really need to get their ducks in a row. read more

I typically have a decent experience here. My biggest complaint is that the posted hours on the web and Yelp state they're open on Sundays from 10-6, but I stopped by at 11:30 and they were closed. It would be helpful if this location updated their hours, and made it clear if there are restricted days/hours to get state inspections. I tried another location (S. Lamar) and was told they only do inspections on Wednesdays. read more

These guys are great, friendly enough, and they work fast. I do a lot of driving for work, and am getting 5000-mile oil changes pretty often. Today, Jesse pointed out that my battery was really corroded, and when I got out to take a look, I was shocked! I called this morning at 10:50 to find out how long it would take for an inspection. I was told about 15 minutes but that the guy who does inspections is going to lunch at 11. I live close, so drove over there at noon and was told he was at lunch. I told the gal that I was told he went to lunch at 11 and she said he takes an hour and a half lunches on days they aren't busy. She went on to say sometimes it's so busy they don't even get lunches, so it all evens out. (Well, good for him then!) So, I went about my day and called back at 3:55 to see how long the wait was for an inspection. I was told there was no wait and I said I'd be right over. I live a mile away, so I was literally "right over". When the guy came to my car and I told him I needed an inspection he said they guy who does them is at lunch!!!!! I said "Are you f'g kidding me? I JUST called!!!!" I told him what happened earlier about him being at lunch. So, he calls the guy from his cell phone right out by my car! Literally, right next to me so I could hear his entire conversation. I heard him say "We have someone here who needs an inspection. Pause. She was already told you were at lunch. Pause. Well, how far away are you?" I said "Just forget it!!!" with a few more expletives because this is just unacceptable. I rarely lose it, but come on!! Then he tells me where I can go up the street to get an inspection!! I told him I know where that place is and I'll just go there. Where he told me to go is always jam packed, so I was hoping to get one done here. I've been getting my oil changes at this location for YEARS and I always have good experiences at this location. I just had one. I have to say though, that they have now lost a very good customer. 100% unacceptable. read more

This is the third time of been to this Jiffy Lube location and Max the Assistant Manager is always super friendly and helpful with all of my questions. I was just there and pulled up at 6:40pm) not realizing they closed at 7pm) and Max and one of the tech's, Sean, didn't give me any crap and just got to work! I would give 0 stars, but that wasn't an option. The price was double what I normally pay at another company. Also they demanded that random things be replaced. The pricing on all of that was triple what it is at the two places that I have gone to before. 19 dollars per windshield wiper blade... hmm. So far my car still runs so maybe they deserve 1 star, but as soon as I pulled out of the lot my turn signal burned out. Maybe a coincidence, but I am much less motivated to fix it because I just spent a fortune getting a conventional oil change. read more

Letter to Corporate: Hi Jiffy Lube, I came in on March 4th and got an Oil Change from D. Traylor providing my own 0w-20 Oil. Everything appeared to be in order until I realized 5w-20 oil was used and returned to me in my trunk. Not only that, after less than a month, I was almost dry on oil. Considering there is no oil leak in my car and the oil change lasted me less than a thousand miles (when I only have to change every 3k), I would have been better off changing my own oil to make sure the right oil goes in and the tank gets filled. At bare minimum, I should be refunded for my oil change and a new jug of 0w-20 oil. I do not want any jiffy lube credit or service ever again. I've called here a couple times for estimates on different services and each time I've called, I was told they 'don't do' whatever it was I was asking about. Most recently, I called today asking about tire installation, given that same response, then checked the website again to make sure I wasn't crazy. Listed in very clear English is "Tire Installation" on the website for this exact location. False advertising, whatever you want to call it, maybe it's time to update either services offered or the website. read more

AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I am so mad right now that I should probably write this later once my rage has cooled. I showed up at ten this morning for a state inspection. Unfriendly guy told me they weren't doing inspection for another few hours. I've always used this Jiffy Lube so I shrugged off this annoyance, ran a few other errands and then came back later in the afternoon. Same unfriendly guy tells me it's going to be two hours for the inspection. I was prepared for a wait- my gym's a five minute walk away. I give the guy my keys, talk to him about doing an oil change, what sort of oil I want, etc and let him know I going to the gym. He says okay, I go away and come back two hours later to find my inspection has not been done because he didn't have my insurance information. I have the insurance card and would have given it to him had he asked but he didn't ever mention it. This was a total waste of my time. read more

Left a nearby PepBoys because of scheduling issues on their part. I gave them a call and headed over. They understood I was pressed for time and even though nobody was waiting behind me they worked fast and had me out in 10-15 minutes. They didn't try to up-sell me on various services which is always a plus. Friendly staff, quick service. Found a new place to go to from now on. read more

I supported this business for a couple years without a hiccup.. but after a clean record this place did damage to my car in October 2012. Cracking my fiberglass hood when they slammed it shut. They told me to "not worry" and that their insurance would "take care of it" but after months of calling and calling to check the status of the filing, they told me that instead my "claim" had been denied. Claim? There was no claim, there was an immediate acknowledgement of their wrong-doing and the upper management then played games with me for another 6 MONTHS! Telling me that they would re-file the claim once again and then ultimately saying that they still felt they had no responsibility. I dont go around looking for an oil shop to fix my car, but when you do the damage ASSUME YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. /rant read more

So this is my first review. Probably my last one... I made this just to give these employees a huge shout out. I got into a bind due to a faulty oil filter on my old 1979 gmc. I was in a rush and they recognized the urgency and they addressed it immediately. In addition to being fast they were professional and personable. Disappointed in this Jiffy Lube. Never a problem with the oil changes, but I realized after having my tires rotated a few times that half my factory original lugnuts had been switched with cheap replacement lugnuts. I am assuming they must have stripped them, but they never informed me. Of course, it gets worse, after this I stop at another Jiffy Lube while I am travelling, and they tell me that these replacement lugnuts are not even the right size! Good thing I never had a flat tire while these things were on there, or I never would have gotten the tire off with the factory provided tire iron. read more

I went to the jiffy lube located at 1705 West Ben White Blvd located in Austin Texas. Do not go there! When I pulled up I was only the second car of the day. I wanted to tidy up my car quickly so I put $50 in cash in my glove box. This was all before the tech walked up to my car. When I left the location I went straight home and unloaded my car. I reached into my glove box and the money was gone! They are thieves at this location! I called right away with no answer. I attempted to call several times and still no answer. I will be contacting corporate and filing a complaint. So be warned do not use this location because your stuff may come up missing! read more

Today is my anniversary, and Iam taking a road trip so I pull in to jiffy lube like usual. Sign says a special price. The guy tells me no they forgot to change the sign. I tell him Its ok you can still do it for that price with the 10 dollar coupon. He tells me no and to come back later and maybe he can do it. I laugh and go down the street at Firestone. Way more professional and helpful. I will never go back to jiffy lube because of how they treated me. read more

Went there on Saturday for a state inspection. When I arrived, the person at the desk was speaking with a customer and there was no one else ahead of me or behind me. At the same time he was finishing up with the customer someone showed up and stood in line behind me. The guy working the front desk didn't even look at me or acknowledge me or ask me to hang on for a sec, he looked at the person that showed up AFTER me and started talking to them. Then when he finally finished with that customer, he asked me what I needed. I told him that I needed a state inspection. He said, it's a two hour wait right now. Well, okay, I mean I had no choice, I needed to get it done. I didn't mind the wait time, it just seemed like he was trying to get me to leave or something. When I went back about two hours later, I walked in and he was in the middle of talking to another customer about star wars. Didn't acknowledge me coming in or anything. No other issues other than the customer service. read more

This is my favorite Jiffy. I am particularly pressed with their customer service and the fact that despite they are busy, they expedite customers thru fairly quickly. This location is centrally located in South Austin, and serves a lot of folks, so be prepared to wait if you're coming here after lunch. That being said, on my last visit here the service was overwhelmingly friendly. Putting off my vehicle inspection until the day before I'm supposed to leave town, I brought my car here assuming that it would pass inspection no problem. The shop was extremely busy and I had to wait for 90 minutes for the service. When Robert the service tech informed me that my gas cap was bad I was very upset and he was able to calm me down and give me a solution. I told him that I was very stressed out about time and he told me the nearest AutoZone to find a replacement. I return to the shop about 30 minutes later and he literally drops what he was doing to finish my inspection for me and get me on my way. Little things like being treated like a human being and addressed with respect restore your faith in humanity in a situation like this. 1. Laura gave me great service w/minimum upsale on the other services they offer. Can't complain about the other services they offer and the sales pitch, it is how they make a living and it can be a warning about trouble ahead. Which brings me to Number 2. After service I had a rumble in the Blower when I turned on the A/C. Brought it right back, Ray jumped right on it; immediately went to the source of the noise and found a Mouse/Mice nest under my dash. Cleaned it out & sent me on my way; all w/a big smile. In Redding Ca. on Cypress Ave. I went to get an oil change, as I drive a VW they said I Had to have all syn. oil, $ 27 more than syn blend, if I wanted blend I'd have to talk to the manager. So then my a/c heater filter was mildly dirty and with out asking cost I said ok replace. ARE you kidding me ---- $49.99. Where I normally change oil I pay $45 plus $7 for an extra Quart and Napa auto parts said the filter costs @ Napa $27, Totaling $79 dollars. At Jiffy they charge $81 for oil change (blend is $54) then $49.99 for filter and here's the kicker --- $24.54 for labor ??? Isn't that part of oil change cost? So total is $155.53, I said are you kidding me about the cost and they gave me a $25 discount, so out the door now it was $123.52 compared to my normal (with filter for example) $ 79. So I will never go back to Jiffy Lube, They are a RIP- Off (I was referred to Jiffy by an idiot from O'reilly's clerk who couldn't even look up an oil filter for my car on Dana dr. in redding ca.) read more

I will say that I have been waiting all day to write this review and now that I'm finally at a computer, I can't wait to see what I come up with. Eek! So most people think that getting your car worked on or an oil change done is pretty boring work, which you usually think, "Oh, I will bring a long a book or magazine to read while I wait," but this location changes all your precepts about getting your car worked on! I had never been to this location so I figured I would give it a try before my morning rountine. I stopped on by early in the morning and what do I see?, the staff of Jiffy Lube all outside trying to get people to come in, so that means I was the first for them to work on. As soon as I drove in, they all greeted me and explained what I needed to do. I left my keys in the car and before the next guy could say hello, the team bounded together and got to work. The guy infront of me was directing me to their office and opened the door and showed me all they had (coffee, water, soda, newspaper (pre-read and waiting) and soft plush leather seats). He asked if he could get anything for me, I said no and he was back outside working together with the rest of the crew like a well "oiled" machine. By the time I sat down and opened the newspaper, my car was already in and being worked on. I wasn't even half way through the article before one of the team members came in to get me and offer what kind of service I wanted to my car. Realize only a few minutes, if I had to state a number (3) had gone by. They then showed me what needed to be replaced and what the cost would be. I told them all I needed done and by the time I went back inside to sit down, one of the guys was coming in to say that they were just double checking everything and that my car would be ready in two minutes. He lied, my car was already ready after he said that! I came in for a simple oil change and replacement valve and I stayed no longer then maybe ten minutes. You can't beat great service like that. On top of all that, they told me about their "Top-Off" service, which is between any serivce you get at Jiffy Lube and your next service date, you can come in and they will "top-off" any fluids, oils, tire pressure and anything else for free! Great if you are gonna go on a long trip or something. I will definitely be coming here for my service from now on. On a side note, I have never found a reason to do a review on Jiffy Lufe because the one located nearest to me never had this level of quality service before and I never knew they offered it. After I saw just how efficient these guys worked here, I just had to post on yelp for the world to read about their awesome service at this location. So be sure to stop on by and if you can get there early, do so. After paying I told the guy what an amazing job they did and how excellent their service was. They were so helpful and if you get there early enough, you can be out in no time. No need to bring a book or magazine that's for sure. Plus I got an early-bird discount of $10 dollars off my total, so that replacement valve ended up being free, I just had to pay for the oil change. And on top of all that, and yes I know its included in the service, but they also vaccumed my car and washed my windows! That has been on my To-Do list for so long and now I can scratch them both off! I was so excited, it just made my day. No sounds in my car anymore and now I just need to find a reason now to go back! maybe another road trip? haha read more

I dealt mostly with Von, who I believe was the manager on staff - he was incredibly friendly, helpful, informative, honest, and let me know all my purchasing options without pushing the upsell. I paid less than $30 for my oil change (with the coupon) and was in and out in 20 minutes. read more
