I originally started bringing it in to get to new tires. I had work done previously and another business and had asked them to fix a noise I had in the front. They never fixed it! So when I came in for tires I asked if they could look at the car and tell me if they could figure out what the noise was and fix it. Within 10 minutes their mechanic had called me knew exactly what it was was able to get parts and get it installed by that afternoon. I previously had a flat that was plugged by the gentleman my insurance sent. THAT tire got a bulge (note to self, don't do that again). My car is fairly new so I didn't want to buy more tires than I needed. I chose a tire on-line, made my appointment (which I'm glad was the next day), and showed up to get my tire. I hate I forgot the gentleman's name at the counter, but he was very helpful. He came out to check the tread on my tires and advised I'd be okay with just purchasing 1 new tire. He explained the differences in the tread (on the tire options) and I felt comfortable with his advice. I only waited about an hour and I was out! It was convenient. I'll be back for sure. read more

Have been using numerous NTB locations for years. Just found out they, as a company, do NOT check any fluids with an oil change! They also don't tell you that this is no longer a service they perform. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty rough for a customer to assume this service is still performed as they used to do it in previous years.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would be willing to pay extra for the service instead of driving around with no coolant. Good thing I decided to check my wiper fluid and noticed I had NO coolant. I see no reason to go to continue having oil changes here at this point. read more

The staff cannot be trusted to do an alignment the correct way. Was here for 2 alignments in the past few weeks. One for our car before a trip and one for my truck after I replaced every part they are supposed to adjust for an alignment. From what I can see the technician adjusted one tie rod. For comparison there are 6 adjustment points for a technician to adjust during an alignment. This shop can not be trusted to do the work you pay them for. I have the print out in my hand showing that only the steering meaning the tie rods were adjusted. At home I measured my tie rods and can tell by how many threads are exposed on each side that only one tie rod was adjusted, they didn't even bother to evenly adjust both tie rods. My receipt says they tested my battery and I didn't ask or approve of this, I specifically stated I wanted an alignment only. Time was spent trying to hopefully sell me a part I never would have bought from them or allowed them to install and they couldn't have been bothered to do what I paid 109 dollars for. read more

Arrived a8:30 am. Had a 9am appointment for a free tire inspection. After 4 hours and 38 minutes, I left with two new rear tires and fresh brake fluid. It wasn't until 10am when I was told my car would be ready in 30 minutes. 30 minutes turned into 3 hours and 30 minutes. The front of the store representative took fifteen dollars off of my bill which was still $422. And he also offered me half off on my next oil change. I will not be going back to Mavis NTB on Merritt Blvd. I received WAY BETTER and FASTER SERVICE when it was still Merchant's Tire. Oh, and I had worked my 8 hour midnight before coming to Mavis NTB. The restroom was filthy, the waiting room was dirty. No coffee available even though free coffee is advertised on the wall of the waiting room. And the chairs were in poor condition and very uncomfortable. read more

I was here towards the end of January 2024 for an oil change. I'd made an appointment the week prior, and arrived about 15 minutes early. 3 and a half hours later, they finished my oil change. This place used to be great, as far as speed and quality. But, like every other chain, they've gotten greedy, and are committing to too much work, with too few technicians to do it in a reasonable amount of time. There were several of us in the same predicament (waiting an unacceptably long time for what should've been a 20 - 30 minute job), and we were starting to stand around in the lobby (the waiting room leaves A LOT to be desired these days) when a guy walked in and asked how long an oil change would be. The employee up front looked at him and said, with a straight face, about an hour; we all started laughing and telling the guy how long it would ACTUALLY be, and how long we'd all been there. The employee straight up lied to the guy, just to book more business. One customer, after about two hours, asked for his keys back and left. If you don't have the people to do the work, that's fine. But don't lie to customers, just to get them in the door, knowing very well you cannot possibly honor the promise you're making to them. It's horrendous business practice, and a good way to lose both current and potential customers (word of mouth counts for a lot, you know, and Dundalk is a small area). I'm giving this place 2 stars because I know from past experience that they're capable of being fast and efficient, and hoping this review reaches the owner, who does something about this mess. Like I said, if you don't have the technicians to do the work, I get it. Just be honest, and stop over-committing. I could've easily come back another day for the oil change. Just tell me upfront, and I'll happily reschedule. Straight up lying, and costing me half my day because of it, will cause me, and others, to take my/our business elsewhere. Also, I want to point out that there's a Jiffy Lube no more than 100 feet away. Literally two buildings over So, this NTB branch is definitely NOT in a position to be playing games, when customers could literally push their vehicles to the competition, if necessary. read more

I brought my car here to get things checked out like brake and tires. I also wanted to get an oil change because we were going on a trip the upcoming weekend. I saw on google that this location actually had some good reviews, but failed to look at how low they scored on Yelp. I have a 2017 Honda CRV EX and it turns out that my car only really needed an oil change and I would be good to go. Simple! I had them do the oil change and everything was fine. I brought my own oil and they allowed me to use it after clarifying with their front desk technician. This was about 1 week before we took off on our road trip. I drove the car and it was fine for that entire week. It was not until when we went on our road trip that part of the splash guard underneath my car fell off while we were on the freeway. HUGE SAFELY CONCERN HERE because I was driving around 70 mph and the thing could have easily fallen off and hit another car behind me that is also driving at high speeds on the highway. I quickly pulled over to see what was dragging on the ground and concluded that it was the splash guard. I knew this was the problem immediately because I had this happen prior right after another oil change from another place. In order to change oil for my car, you have to remove the splash guard to expose what you need to get to. Then you have to put all the screws back to secure the splash guard in place. We immediately took our car to the nearest car shop and had it removed since it was crushed anyways due to the constant dragging on the ground. Once we came home, I took it to another technician with better reviews this time and asked him what could possibility result in this again and I told him the only thing that changed about my car was that I took it to NTB for an oil change. He mentioned that it is likely that they didn't secure the splash guard on properly resulting in it falling again. He told me that is an extra step for the 2017 Honda CRV since you have to take the thing off. This oil change at NTB basically cost me another $250 to buy and install another splash guard. Even though I don't have solid proof that this happened because of NTB, there were too many factors pointing towards them. The splash guard fell off within a week after getting serviced from NTB Dundalk, another 3rd party technician also made that point about how the splash guard can easily fall off if not properly secured after an oil change, and that this incident happened before when I got an oil change from another location where they forgot to properly secure the splash guard. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE COMING BACK AND WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING PEOPLE TO GO HERE DUE TO THEIR LACK OF ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND SAFETY! read more

Me and my boyfriend purchased 2 brand new tires for his Jeep on 12/16. On 1/14 one of the brand new tires flew off his Jeep going 60 mph on 695 beltway. Not even an entire month goes by; however, NTB and their sketchy insurance Sedgwick are concocting any other theory (like him having hit a pothole, potential theft, etc etc...) and denying mechanic negligence when the proof is in the pictures and the tire. The GM David M. was completely unprofessional and actually laughed at us when we came in on 1/19 to explain to him the updates and how one of their insurance agents told my boyfriend it was "too bad he didn't die" over the phone. People, including my boyfriend, could be in caskets right now but it's a laughing matter to NTB's GM David M. and Sedgwick insurance. The only good thing I can say is that Paul is and was the only person at NTB to show sincere sympathy for the matter. He actually came out to look at the tire my boyfriend retrieved from the ravine off the side of 695, and offered us the corporate number. The GM wouldn't even do as much. Unless you know or have a good lawyer, I highly advise you to shop elsewhere. read more

Sounded great and made an appointment. Showed up 2 days later and they tried to do a bait and switch. Didn't have my quote, or my tires and stated tire quoted were not on special. DO NOT GET TIRES HERE! My son got 2 new tires on the back of his car dec 16, 2018. Four weeks later, while doing 60 mph on 695 beltway the new tire went flying off the car, bounced across the median, into oncoming traffic and went down a ravine. Thank God no one was hurt!. The speed with which the tire flew off, caused body damage and the rotor is messed up. Caused $2,000 in damages. NTB takes zero responsibility. Their insurance company blamed my son, saying he must have hit a pot hole. I have hit many a bump and or pot hole in my 43 years of driving, and NEVER had a tire fly off. BUYERS BEWARE! I scheduled to have my oil changed, at this location, on their website. When I arrived to the store at my appointment time, an employee came out of the garage looking confused that I was there. I explained to them that I scheduled to have an oil change and tire rotation at this location at 10AM. The employee said that they were surprised I was able to make a reservation online, as they have no one staffed to cover the request and that they were booked for the day. I was very surprised that they were "booked" for the day and I was able to make a reservation a few days in advance (I also checked the day before if I wanted to change my reservation time and there were a plethora of other times). The employee explained that they had a time for the next day at 5PM and did not apologize for the inability to service my vehicle. As I left the store, I noticed there was a Jiffy Lube next door and got my oil change and tire rotation there instead, with much friendlier and timely service. I will not be going back to this location. Very unprofessional. read more
