This place is terrible. The second I drove up in my car, I wasn't even greeted, I had a staff member say "you know your car takes synthetic oil right?" Of course I know that, I've had my car for seven years, you couldn't even say hello? I go into the waiting room and all the other people in the waiting room were complaining about how the staff kept trying to up-sell them options they really didn't need. They came in about twenty minutes later and told me they couldn't change the oil in my car because it, quite dramatically, had a very large oil leak. That made me panic a bit, I work for myself so it's hard for me to have time off to perform car maintenance. I cancelled all my work for the following day to get my car into the mechanic immediately. The mechanic calls me, laughing, and says there is no oil leak and the technicians were probably just afraid to deal with my car (a mini cooper.) I. WAS. LIVID. What a waste of time. I come here since Jan 2012.. They are so nice, professional and honest with what you need. They'll never try to sell you something you don't need or push sales. I have bought a battery from here two years ago and it needs to be replaced.. Very convenient that I have a five year warranty on it. It will be replaced this Thursday as soon as they get it. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR CAR!! I usually go to my dealer to get an oil change but they had no appt available till two weeks from now and I needed and oil change ASAP. As soon as I drove into Jiffy Lube I knew it wasn't going to go well. A young kid was looking at his phone and had headphone on while he was trying to guide me in. That same kid went to drain my oil and change the oil filter and I heard one of the other guys there say that he the kid with the phone couldn't drain my cars oil cause he was turning the plug the wrong way. He couldn't figure it out so he asked for help. No common sense. Then, when they where pouring my new oil, they spilled it all over my engine... yeah they tried cleaning it but it's all over the place now... seems like they hire young kids with no common sense, no experience and no care for quality in their work. They were playing musical cars. Moving cars all around yet I still stayed in the same spot for almost 2 hours. And I wanted to get an oil change and light bulb replacement. I don't know where to start with this review. In all of my years on the road I have taken my vehicles to jiffy lube once the time came for an oil change. The norm visit consists of an employee welcoming you , and driving the car into the garage , as a gesture of great customer service, which I think all jiffy lubes do as protocol. That was until I came here. They opened the garage door and had me drive in with no usual welcoming or questioning on what service was needed. No one directed me to the waiting area , I figured where it was on my own while all the employees acted as if I didn't just park my truck in there. It was awkward! As I sit I see couple of the workers pass me by with headphones and singing along out loud. This doesn't really bother me, but it does show a lack of professionalism. All in all the service was horrible, I will never return to this location. I think the worst part was when an employee sat next to me in the waiting area to charge his phone as he ate a sandwich. I was here today and they are the slowest group of workers. Went in yesterday. I get that they have to upsell....and then timing was fine. But that place was shady. I didn't even feel comfortable giving my information because of the way the staff was acting. Super over-dramatic about problems - "your tire is going to fall off... i cant believe you can still drive this...." - and then offers to buy my car! He turns and says "I am looking for a car, I could make you an offer, you do have lots of problems with it". Is this Jiffy Lube or a used car lot???? While I was waiting another customer came into the waiting room and stated that she too was also asked if she wanted to sell her car. Who runs this place? The employees here are a joke! My AC stopped blowing cold air and I decided to let Jiffy Lube try recharging it. I'm not sure what the guy actually did, but he said he tried it and that "I needed a new compressor." This was alarming, so I took it to a mechanic who said that whoever "recharged" the AC not only did not recharge it, but they left it completely without any pressure which caused a relay to burn out and that it could have actually led to my compressor going if I'd continued to try to use it in that condition. The mechanic had the AC properly recharged and it's worked great ever since (all for less than what Jiffy Lube asks for the recharge itself). Mechanic said never go to Jiffy Lube they can't even change oil let alone recharge an AC. I'm only leaving two stars here because Jiffy Lube at least did not try to charge me the 150 bucks or whatever it for the service after they "recharged" my AC and it still didn't work. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. "On May 25th, it was a hot 95 degree day, me and my wife went to the Jiffy Lube to recharge the freon in my 2000 Dodge Caravan. The manager told me it would cost $110. He told us to the sit in the waiting room and told us it would take 15 minutes. One hour later and he still didn't call our name. We had to go back outside to ask what was happening. Then he started telling me that there was a leak in the system and that he could not fill it up. All that time we were waiting they were trying to do something to the engine or tweak something that didn't need to be touched. I had a little doubt that they were cheating me. Then I told the manager to stop what they were doing and that I would go to a different place. Then also I told him I would complain on him and give him bad reviews, he said that he didn't care. He sarcastically said "have a good day". He was very rude. I went to a different mechanic. He told me it would cost $65 and would take 15 minutes...that was how long it took. I specifically asked the mechanic if there was any leak in the system and said he there was no leakage. My air conditioning is working perfectly. This Jiffy Lube manager has no manners and no customer service skills. He was just looking to cheat me out of my money and I do not appreciate that." -George read more

I will not be returning to this Jiffy Lube and I suggest no one else does.. they charged me an additional $40 for a service that I did not ask for. I submitted a survey the following day to discuss the complaints, in hopes that a manager would contact me, and I have not heard from anyone. This is the response I submitted on their survey two weeks ago... "I was dissatisfied because I was charged for a 'signature service' that brought my total bill over $100. I've been to other Jiffy Lubes, and other auto centers, and have never been charged an additional fee for "preventative measures", such as checking tire pressure or windshield wipers. These are normally included in the cost of a regular oil change; there was nothing 'signature' or special about the service I had at this location. After investigating the details of this 'signature service' online, I called later to inquire if vacuuming and washing the exterior windows were included with this $39.99 charge... the attendant told me 'yes', which I informed him were not done on the vehicle. Although, these services were marked on my bill as 'completed'.. he said that the vacuum bag was full when I visited which affected the suction and that I could bring my car back to be cleaned. Therefore, he knew that the car was not cleaned as it was marked on my bill. He seemed comfortable with charging me almost an additional $40 for a service that was: 1) not even completed, 2) that I never asked for as a customer and 3) offers features that are included with the cost of an oil change. I felt skeptical and very concerned if the other items marked as 'completed' on my bill were even done on my fiancé's vehicle, or if the oil upgrade I paid $60 for was actually the oil put in his Jeep Wrangler. This experience has made me question the practices at Jiffy Lube and has broken the confidence my fiancé and I have placed in this company. I would like to have a full refund of the $117 I spent yesterday because I feel misled by this attendant's actions and cannot assume that any of the services I paid for were actually done." read more

I came here to get more air in my tires and saw I was the only car so I decided to get an oil change too, hoping it would be quick. It took them 35 minutes to even ask what type of oil I wanted. I asked to just leave without being further serviced because I figured it'd take forever and they were extremely rude about it and said I had to follow through with their services. Got my car only to see that the air pressure on my tires was still really low. Also was charged over $50 for conventional oil which is $36 at other jiffy lube locations. I didn't even argue or ask for them to recheck the tire pressures because I was so ready to get out of there. read more

Woke up on Sunday and decided to get an oil change and top off my transmission fluid. Many places are closed on Sundays but Jiffy Lube wasn't so Jiffy Lube was the choice. I don't have high expectations for chain places but they did get my oil changed in a timely manner and told me of a small transmission fluid leak. They met my need. The end. read more

This place has always been a good experience for me. The technician Luis was polite and friendly and he even gave me a coupon for my total at checkout. Place is a dump! understaffed, under qualified, lazy employees. Kristen dragged her feet as she would walk through the building. Pick up ur feet & show customers you actually want to b @ jiffy lube & do ur job & b professional about it. Same with Roosevelt was just taking up space being there. The lack of communication between the service team was terrible. One person would clean ur windows & put air in the tires, 5 minutes later another employee would go back to the same car & check the tires or do a task that was already performed on the car earlier. took 1 hour 10 minutes from the time I pulled up & left! Really slow service here, when I pulled up, there was a car in each of the 3 bays and one guy waiting for bay 2, I pulled into bay 1. They finished the car in bay 1 and moved my car back and took the guy who was there before me in. That seems fair and the right way to do things, so they move my car behind bay 2. 35 minutes later they haven't finished any of the 3 cars in the 3 bays. After 40 minutes they finish the guy in bay 3 and pull a car in that arrived well after me. I go out and tell the guy that I'm leaving and he says he was going to do my car first (even though they had already started working on the car in bay 3). I told him no and got in my car and drove away. Very slow, inconsistent service order, won't be going back. read more

If we could give "0" stars we would. As with the other customer reviews below, we had a very unpleasant and traumatic experience here. When we pulled up, one of the technicians was standing outside smoking a cigarette. She had been saying something about going on her lunch break. She reluctantly waved us into the first bay and she looked quite unhappy about it. She was making faces and shaking her head side to side as she was pointing to the right. My husband, who was driving, asked her if the car was in the right spot and she mumbled back "nothing I can do about it now". She never asked us what kind of service we wanted nor did she go over any prices, etc. We proceeded to get out of the car. My husband is disabled and uses a service dog. The dog wears a bright orange vest indicating that he is a service dog. We walked in to the waiting area and the technician yelled to us "that dog has to get out". I replied that he did not have to get out because he is a service dog. She then repeated "he has to get out". My husband then asked if she did not see his vest indicating that he is a service dog. She replied "dogs wearing vests come in here all the time so how would I know". My husband then told her that it was apparent that they don't receive training on the laws regarding service dogs. We asked for a manager and to our surprise, we were told by another technician that the woman IS the manager!!! We told her to not work on the car and we left. We went to another Jiffy Lube in Oak Park, Illinois and the technician, "Marshall" as well as the other staff treated us with respect and were extremely professional. At no point did they say anything about the dog and we even asked them if they had a problem to which they replied "dogs come in here all the time, and not just service dogs". We are writing to the corporate offices of Jiffy Lube and also talking to the City of Berwyn about revoking their business license for poor practices. We own a business ourselves in Berwyn and are connected to business networks in the community. We were victims of a similar discriminatory practice with another business in Berwyn and successfully settled a lawsuit with the United States Department of Justice. We will be pursuing the same route in this instance in the hopes that unscrupulous business owners who hire such incompetent and rude staff take note and take steps to be in compliance with the federal ADA laws protecting the rights of disabled individuals. read more
