I was traveling back to Charlotte and my low oil level light came on so I stopped in at this location. My dealership had changed the oil a few days earlier and did not put the dip stick back in properly. I was down three quarts. The manager put three quarts in for me so that I could get back home and did not charge me at all. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. I really appreciated their help. read more

Advertised as a "stay-in-your-car 15-minute oil change". I get there and am asked to get out of my car and give him my keys. I also needed one of my rear bulbs changed. I came mid-morning on a Thursday, so I figured it wasn't their peak hours. With two cars ahead of me, I waited from 10:14am until 11:33am. My car was up on the bay with the hood open for 30 minutes before they called me out and asked what kind of oil I wanted. They had the cover off the bulb for about 45 minutes.. I'm not sure how long changing a bulb is supposed to take but that doesn't sound right to me. When everything was completed, I paid and then told them how I waited for almost an hour and a half, and he said it was because there were two cars in front of me, and they "can't just skip the other cars". That's obviously not what I was implying needed to happen. 2 cars ahead of me would be 15 minutes + 15 minutes, not over an hour. They had an ad playing over and over again saying how Jiffy Lube's 15-minute oil change gets you "in and out in a jiffy!" Do not go here. read more

I usually like this place because it's fast and easy for an inspection and everyone is quite friendly, However, the last time I went there with a recently procured older car in which I put a lot of money, the guy said, IT FAILED inspection..Then he said, JUST KIDDING. Went for an oil change and inspection before a road trip. Halfway there check engine comes on so I pull over open the hood and there is oil everywhere. They didnt put the cap back on. Mid trip I had to find a mechanic and a car detailer so my engine bay didn't turn into a fire ball. Check your oil caps after they touch your car. The manager was respectful and responsive to situation and reimbursed me and redid the oil change but unfortunately there's no telling what that did to my engine and transmission which is now grinding and slipping. read more

Jordan was amazing! I never write reviews but I feel like Jordan and his staff at this Jiffy Lube went above and beyond for me. I got a new alternator and battery from them. The next week after a long drive in the rain to Charlotte, the alternator belt fell off. The local car shop was quoting me $800 but Jordan was able to call and coordinate for the Jiffy Lube in Charlotte to fix it free of cost. He also threw in a free oil change for the trouble! Jiffy lube - Tech Gerald, a shame on humanity 607 W Franklin St A, Chapel Hill, NC 27516 It is a shameful experience that humans have to resort to cheating to make a living, and that too just to make extra few bucks. I always told people to go to jiffy lube for a quick service or an inspection, since they are good at the work and get it done without much waiting. But that recommendation has failed in the last few visit where the sleazy Jiffy Lube Tech tried to make every extra buck from you by offering up-charged service to buy high priced commodities that are double or triple than the prices at the local Walmart or auto shop. Having taken my car to be inspected at jiffy lube in Chapel Hill, the technician Gerald B. worked on my vehicle for which I had replaced new tires to make sure they will pass inspection and everything else was in great working order. However after looking hard, he found the audacity to pick on the slightly older wiper blades even though they were working perfectly fine and changing the windshield properly. He did not like the fact that they were not brand new, and that part is something he could sell me from his inventory at outrageous price. I'm also not convinced that he was the person who actually tore them slightly at the top and then showed to me as if that was a problem. Without informing me he took my vehicle out of the bay and told me about this bad surprise when I was trying to pay for my inspection that he tested the vehicle inspection. I think jiffy lube fails to impress the the basic requirement of an inspection that to pass a inspection the items don't have be brand new, just in good working order. The Jiffy Lube Tech failed to provide that consideration and instead tried to upsell me the wiper blades for $18-24 which are otherwise sold for $8 bucks in a regular store. That's what it's come down to with humanity. It shows the lowest end of the spectrum of how humans will stoop so low, and it's a shame to be living in such a society and experiences bad moments which was not as such just a few years ago. I FAIL Jiffy Lube of Chapel Hill to be of acceptable standard to provide the basic service in an ETHICAL manner and not having any INTEGRITY in its business methods to provide professional service to public Auto maintenance needs. Smeared windows (from their "cleaning treatment) and over 90 later I have an oil change. Do yourself a favor if you have no other option check and see if you can find a coupon or Groupon before you head over. Three stars because the guys were nice and I didn't have to make an appt...just drive up and get it done. I was out in less than 45 minutes. Next time I'll ask they just skip the window treatment that comes with the oil change. My windows looked horrible afterwards. Either clean them or don't a sorry attempt just makes you all look SORRY. read more

Avoid any service , it's a place with goal to earn money by pushing you to get service or repairs not needed. I failed state inspection because they stated my rear brake pads are below 2 mm and offered expensive repair. I refused and after checking the thickness of pads at home it was 5.5 mm that is moderate wear. Very unprofessional attitude to customers. read more

had my car inspected at chapel hill jiffy llube lub. they recommended a new air filter and I agreed when I drove away one of the vents of the air conditioner was BLOWING HOT AIR I went back to Jiffy Lubee and at first they said they'd fix it and then they said they don't know how to fix it and anyway it was probably a manufacturers defect and I should take it back to the Lincoln dealer I am an older person who is doing only limited driving. horrible service. dishonest and careless. I took my car in for inspection and oil change a year ago. came home and over the next few days found oil dripping on the ground. I found the oil plug had not been tightened. I came back to tell them. no apology. didn't check the plug to see if I tightened it enough. I had to take it home and get it up on ramps and used a torque wrench. i should have known better but I took my car in yesterday for another inspection figuring to give them another chance. met by a bored worker who asked what I wanted. told him I needed an inspection and oil change. another worker came over and pointed to my front left tire saying my front tires were shredded that I needed new tires and it would not pass inspection otherwise. I sat and waited and no one acknowledged me at all. People are not aware you are supposed to get out of the car. People are used to Valvoline that you stay in the car entire time. My car was stolen in the middle of the day from the Jiffy Lube on Fordham Blvd due to the employees negligence. Jiffy Lube could not have cared less. Their corporate office completely dismissed all of my concerns. It sounds like this happens quite often unfortunately. In fact, one employee mentioned a car was stolen from the Jiffy Lube on Franklin street that same week. It has been over a month and I still have not been fully compensated for their negligence. I would highly recommend Pep Boys or Valvoline down the road instead. read more

I was overdue for an oil change and didn't feel like making a longish drive to the dealership so I decided to give this Jiffy Lube location a shot since it's so close to home. I was in and out in less than half an hour for an oil change plus tire rotation. They also topped off any of my car's fluids that were running low. OK place.... I'd recommend it if you're in the area and need to get in and out quickly for an oil change. read more

This is a cautionary note on this location. I would recommend for state inspections or very simple car services (hence the 2.5 star review). I had my oil changed here about 2 months ago and during my visit, there were a couple additional services such as brake and fluid changes advised. Since these services totaled about $200-300, I declined and decided to seek a second opinion. When I recently bought my car to the dealer, they said the car was fine. Given this, I would proceed cautiously on additional services offered to you at this location. read more

In a word...LAZY!!! There are other Jiffy Lubes in the area, go there and not here! Brought in my fleet car for an oil change and tire rotation for 20k maintenance. I had 19.8k miles. They changed my oil but refused to rotate saying 'the company wouldn't approve it because it wasn't at 20k miles'. It was 200 miles short!!! I called the fleet company and my company and they said they would have approved it if Jiffy Lube would have called...again, LAZY!!! So, I had to take time out of my day, TWICE, to change the oil & rotate the tires when it could have been done all at once. LAZY!!! read more

I know this Jiffy Lube has received bad reviews in the past, so it was only when I was in a pinch and no other oil change place was available that I tried it out. Frankly, I've now taken three cars there for two inspections and two oil changes and each time has been great. Friendly people, reasonable prices (no gouging for extra items during the inspection like most places), and very quick (15 minutes is the longest I waited - even when other Jiffy Lubes were at 1 1/2 hours!). Had my car's oil changed and tires rotated at this Jiffy Lube location 2 days ago. The guy at the counter was informative and friendly. The waiting room was clean and I was there about an hour. The car's Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor (TPMS) warning went on about 15 minutes after I drove away. I returned immediately and one guy checked each tire and told me they were all fine. I drove to a gas station and checked myself. Each tire was at 28 or 29 psi and should have been at 35 psi. I filled each to 35 psi, re-set the TPMS and the TPMS warning went on again about 15 minutes later. Drove home, waited 4 hours and tried to re-set again. The TPMS light came on again. Repeated with same result. Talked to a mechanic and he believes the sensor on one of the wheels was damaged when the tires were rotated. Argh. read more

But this year they charged me $96.99 for "special oil" without asking me in advance if I wanted a normal oil change or a ripoff oil change. I went to Jiffy Lube to have BOTH headlights in my car replaced, which was quoted for $25. When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, they informed me that they completed the installation for only ONE of the headlights for $25. They were very dishonest about the pricing, and I discourage future customers from considering this business. read more

So my horrible experience started immediately after I handed the man my keys with him giggling and asking me if there was any cash in the car for him... Then after watching them change the oil, not checking lights, tires, vacuuming the floors or cleaning the windows (which they said they did on the service report) I wasn't about to argue with them and just wanted to leave. After starting to pull away I saw that they also didn't reset the "oil life" percentage on my vehicles dash. So I turned around and asked then to reset it, in addition to the other things they said they did, but didn't. They continued to argue multiple times that they had done those things, despite me watching them never do it, and despite all of my windows being dirty. The windshield even having bird poop on it (just additional confirmation that they didn't do it), only for them to say, "we must have missed a spot". Don't go. I've done oil changes myself before, but I went there to 'save' time while getting ready to leave before going out of town. That was a mistake. They did add oil and change the oil filter (brand Performax). But they did not run the engine for long before draining the oil. (Oil drains faster and more completely after the engine has been warmed up.) As a result, the oil did not end up draining properly and there ended up being too much oil left in the engine block. I checked my oil level with a dipstick before I left the premises, before a tech shooed me off. It showed there was too much oil, and the tip of the dipstick was black. I checked the oil dipstick again two days later. Again, it showed there was too much oil. My car was inside the bay for no more than 10 minutes, even though there wasn't much of a backlog. (There were two others waiting when I left.) I guess they feel it's more important to show customers how speedy they are than to do a thorough job. I did not leave with a good feeling, and a few days later ended up redoing the oil change myself. Going to Jiffy Lube ended up costing me more money AND more time to get the job done right. read more

I came in for an oil change- always gone to a Jiffy lube in Raleigh and had no problems. I will not be coming back here again. As soon as they were done I got in the car and felt like something was really loud and there was an odd rattling noise. I drove around the block second guessing myself before driving back and telling them I felt like something was off. The guys popped the hood and made sure the air filter was in place but said he didn't know what could be making the noise. Another gentleman drove around the block with me and he said he didn't hear anything weird and "I don't know how it sounded like when you came in". Well I took it to firestone after listening to the loud weird noise for a few days- and come to find out they bent the metal flashing around the bottom of the car when they lifted it up. The guy there said he used to work at Jiffy lube and a barrier is supposed to be used when lifting the cars so this doesn't happen. Guess they skipped out on my car. Wound not recommend going there. read more
