I usually go to Oil Can Henry' to get my oil changed but I don't like how it gets a little too personal, for me at least. Yea you get to sit in your car with a complimentary newspaper from months ago, and watch the guys do their thing on 4 different cameras on the screen to the left your window but I feel that it's just a little too much. I drove in and parked my car behind a van being worked on and I was greeted with one of the technicians there asking if I was there for their Signature Oil Service whateveryoucallit. And I said yep, got outta my car and he opened the door to the "lounge" are and told me to feel free to grab a cup of water if I needed and relax. Well this "lounge" was basically a waiting room but hey, i didn't come for the waiting room with mostly men in there and a middle aged woman: AWKWARD. Flashforward to the service. It's nice being able to see the technicians at work rather than facing my hood sitting in the car. Another technician came through the door asking who's mazda that was and escorted me to a computer in the garage to tell me what's going on with my car. He asked me where from California I was from, I replied with "San Francisco" (silence) "So where?" "The city itself??" "Ooooh, FRISCO" In the back of my head I thought WHO THE HELL SAYS FRISCO?! sigh. Anyway, turns out he's from Hayward/East bay. Cool deal. Back to the main topic: he told me that everything looked fine except for a couple of things I should get looked at. I took that into consideration knowing that my dad sent me an email to get an estimate on a couple of things for the engine. After all was set and done the same technician (i forgot his name) opened the door for me then lead me out to my car right outside the garage. Hooray for a $9 discount! (it's supposed to be 5?). One of the worst experiences I have ever had at any business. The man who showed me my air filter took full advantage of my anxieties to basically force me to choose a specific type of oil (which conveniently did not qualify me for the coupon that I had). Then snapped at me when I told him I didn't have the money to pay for an air filter that day. He was more than just rude or cranky. When the other man asked me if I wanted a car wash I almost declined solely because I was worried the other man would be the one to help me. I will never go to this Jiffy Lube ever again. read more

This Jiffy is THE best! All the employees are so helpful and kind. They offer extra services and parts, but don't heckle you at all if you say no. Their service is excellent and super fast AND they offer a complimentary car wash. No complaints here! read more

On my last visit the technician left a tool inside my car (a big pair of oil cap pliers). Of course I didn't notice and drove my car home as usual. The next time I tried to drive my car my starter was completely dead. The manager was very bad about dealing with this situation. She tried to deny causation on multiple occasions. My calls were almost never returned, and I was spoken to in a very hostile tone. These people are happy to hold the door and smile at you when they're taking your money, but if they ever mess up their demeanor completely changes. At the end of the ordeal I only had to replace my distributor cap, a few plug wires, and a fuse. The manager still wouldn't admit full responsibility (despite me having a note from a mechanic) and she refused to cover the cost. Well, that's the most expensive fifty-ish bucks Jiffy Lube is going to save because they've lost my business forever. I think I'm going to do my own oil changes from now on, and lucky for me I have a new tool to help me with that. read more

I hate going to car shops but the guys here are awesome. They tell me in layman's terms what is going on with my car and tell me what I need or don't need. They don't try to hassle me and always give me cheaper alternatives if there are ones. They suggest coupons and discounts to use, always looking out for the customers best interest. Last weekend my significant other and I were passing through Corvallis on our way to visit family when I noticed my car was steaming/smoking and obviously overheating. I quickly pulled into this jiffy lube where they saved the day, my car and our whole trip. I explained we were coming from eugene on our way to visit family in amity. Not pushy and quick with the coupons. I was calling around for a radiator flush. The price was the best I found plus the guy on the phone told me that they had a $10 off coupon. It's weird how oil change places are one of the last overly-nice customer service hubs out there, and this place is no exception. I would love to give a shout out to David at the Corvallis, OR Jiffy Lube! After taking my car in for a regular oil change (always having excellent and honorable service by the way), I was pulled in and told that I had a significant crack in my radiator and that my coolant had all leaked out. Immediately, David gave me some options and ended up spending his break looking for a local radiator part. Twenty minutes after leaving, I got a call and David had miraculously located a part and ended up having someone go pick it up in person that day. It was then available for me to bring my car in, first thing the next morning! David also came in on his day off to make sure that my car was taken care of. I've never worked with such a proactive and encouraging team! Thank you David and the Jiffy Lube team for making sure I was safe and taken care of properly. Pretty impressed. I used to work at a Jiffy Lube in San Diego and this is way better. Super friendly, clean and fast. All the people complaining about scams or bad work done need to realize its an oil change shop, not a mechanic. Get in, change your oil and if you have a problem with your car take it to an actual mechanic. I said the same thing about the Albany jiffy lube, its a night and day difference in quality up here. read more

All I can say is.. "Wow!" This store in particular went above and beyond when I had an issue - - they literally CAME TO MY HOUSE to help me out. Who does that in this day and age?!? I guess they do! It all started when I was having a small mechanical issue with our truck, and the engine oil light also came on. I checked the oil, and it needed oil. I didn't want to drive it to check it out until I at least got more oil in it - so I ran over to the Jiffy Lube to find out what oil we used for it (and to see if I could even just buy some quarts there). When I explained my situation, they sent Royce over to my house to top up the oil, and even help me with the other mechanical issue I was having. Amazing customer service! I am honestly blown away by their professionalism and willingness to help me, versus just selling me some quarts of oil and sending me on my way. I have been a loyal customer of this store for some time because it is convenient, but they have solidified me as a loyal customer for so many more reasons because of this. read more

Beware the car wash. It ruined my rear window wiper and scratched my car very deeply. They said sorry. There is a sign that I did not notice. Oh well, way to go Jiffy Lube for making me feel like you care at all. A little customer service goes a long way. I won't be back. read more

This jiffy lube cost me a flywheel, clutch, pressure plate and new starter. When they moved my pickup around, they left it running, but then tried twice at least to turn the key, which engaged the starter, which tore out multiple teeth on the flywheel. I had mainly gone in there to have them check the transmission oil level and the differential oil level. I mentioned this to the person who was doing the paperwork. I watched the" employees" who were working in the pit. All they did was pull the drain plug on the engine and change the filter. I mentioned to the person supposedly in charge, he went out and told them to check it. It was listed on all receipts as them checking it anyway. They had to go find tools to do it, now most businesses that do this, would have the tools right there. I would not send anyone to these places as they do not have trained or competent personnel working on vehicles. read more

Never going to the Corvallis Jiffy lube again! The guy kept trying to get me to buy synthetic motor oil. He said that he looked it up and that my year Ford says it requires it. I said no just put in the regular oil like you guys have always done in the past. He said well I'll have to check with someone...and that I might have to sign a waiver. Then he went out and was talking and dinking around with the guys in the shop while I'm standing at the counter. At this point I just said screw this. I went and got in my truck and started it up. He comes up to the window and says is there a problem sir? I said yes, I've been getting regular oil in this truck here for years, and now you're telling me I need synthetic? It sounds like a scam to me. I said I thought that this would be a quick oil change and now I've got to get to work. I'm leaving now and won't be back. He says I'm sorry sir have a nice day. Guess they don't need regular customers who have been bringing their cars there for years So anyway I also double checked the oil requirements in MY OWNERS MANUAL. He took the time to see if we qualified for any extra discounts & made sure we were included on the entire process as they worked on the truck, which we appreciated. It's so rare these days to have such an amazing customer service experience that I just had to share. I'm writing this about my daughter's experience with the Corvallis Jiffy Lube on June 15th. She was in Corvallis for an appointment (we live 20 miles away) and was noticing a very strong oily smell and then smoking under the hood. She had just gotten the oil changed at a dealership the day earlier. I told her to stop driving and find the nearest Les Schwab and pull in. They identified the problem as a loose transmission fluid dipstick and referred her to the Jiffy Lube next door. The crew checked the level and it was reading empty, so they refilled the transmission fluid at no charge, cleaned off the mess and had her drive around town and come back to make sure there wasn't any noticeable problems. Did I mention they wouldn't charge her? Kevin, the general manager, is amazing and so helpful in her time of need. We will definitely be bringing in all of our future oil changes to them. read more
