Such a pleasant experience at this particular Jiffy Lube in Coventry. My best friend called because she needed an oil change and her coolant levels were low. She called and Mark Sheldon was happy to tell us to come right in and he'll have us out in about 15-20 minutes. He took just that amount of time and was as attentive as the job required. Staff were nice, but $89.00 for a standard oil change was absolutely absurd, a complete rip off. If my oil light had not come on I would never have stopped, and never will again. To add insult to injury they wanted to upsell me to synthetic for an extra $46.00. Keep in mind they buy synthetic oil in bulk, I can get 6 qts at BJ's for $28.99.. I had a very good experience at this Juffy Lube today. Short wait to drive into the bay. Customer service was excellent, straightforward, and transparent. I wanted them to change my oil and transmission fluid but after checking, I was told that my transmission was sealed and I would have to take it to the dealer. Boo. Anyway, we moved forward with the oil change. I sat in the car as the old oil was drained out and watched as the new oil was added. Saw them add windshield wiper fluid, too. They took some time to scrape off the oil oil change reminders on the windshield, and were generally pleasant and capable. I've had mixed experiences at these drive-in, drive-out places, mostly due to intense upselling of other services I didn't want. This place was easy-peasy, and I also appreciated seeing a young woman working there. More gender diversity in the automotive world! I plan on returning for the next oil change. read more

I have tried to get my oil changed at the Jiffy Lube in Coventry 3 separate times, in each instance there was only one car ahead of me and I was told by staff that it was going to be an hour and a half wait before they could get to my car. So I go to the Jiffy Lube on Bald Hill Road and get the service I needed in less than a half an hour with multiple cars ahead of mine! I never ever use jiffy lube because of their TERRIBLE reputation. But this one time I really needed an oil change and thought hey maybe the bad rep is undeserved. Well apparently it's ENTIRELY deserved. My car started acting up and I took it to a mechanic because I was well within the time frame before needing another change. Turns out whatever half ass bozo helped me did not put the filter on correctly and it caused my oil to just leak out. Thank you so much for wasting my time and money in this garbage economy. The dreaded yellow maintenance required light comes on and I head over to Jiffy lube for an oil change. Getting an oil change , especially one from the dealers ,is one of the top ten most hated chores in life that I am required to do as a responsible adult. But this location is easy in and out. Usually less than 30 minutes, though on a weekend you are looking at longer wait times. . Very professional and courteous, they go over what you need or could have replaced. I am a "just say no kinda person". So I will tell them at the beginning, just an oil change no wipers or air filters needed. They do a great job as I sit in the clean and a well-stocked Kerug coffee maker waiting room watching "'let's make a deal" on the tv on the wall as they service my car. Pull up a mobile coupon , save $15 bucks and I'm out the door in 20 minutes. There are fewer things less glamorous than an oil change. I use Jiffy Lubes all over the state because of their jiffy-ness...and coupons. Let's not get too excited here, folks. The mechanics are perfectly polite and professional, even as they try to sell you air filters and such (don't take the bait). There's free coffee (wouldn't recommend drinking it) and pretty decent magazines at this particular location (well, hello, Glamour Holiday Style Issue). Went in for an oil change and they asked if I wanted to a full synthetic or a blend. Told them I wanted a REGULAR oil change so they asked if I wanted the cheapest one (apparently referring to the only options that were offered to me) to which unfortunately I replied yes. Ended up charging me $80 which is not what I wanted. They take advantage of young girls like myself which I understand the need to up sell but that's not the way to do it by trying to confuse and manipulate customers instead of actually assisting them. Would not recommend coming here and I will not be returning. read more

I have used this jiffy lube for the last few years. I had my oil changed and 3 weeks later I sold the car to my niece. She noticed it had a small oil leak and had it looked at. The drain plug was loose, but that wasn't the big issue the oil was black. She had it changed and the mechanic told her that the oil hadn't been changed for long time. So if you go here you either have to watch them. I will not be going back there. read more

I arrived here at 4:39 pm, they say they close at 5 pm and this was confirmed by the attendant that greeted me. When he arrived at my car he started the conversation with "Closed" I responded quickly with "Closed? What time do you close?" I was reassured 5pm as I had seen online otherwise I would not have dropped everything to make it there when I could. I checked the clock in my car, my iPhone, and my wrist watch in that order and all of them read 4:40. The guy then told me the car currently being serviced had just got there his quote "if you had been 8 seconds earlier the spot would of been yours." The white Jeep in question had already parked, was off, had the hood up, and had another man under working under it. Jiffy lube advertises 10-15 minute oil changes, and if they had the Jeep draining oil in 8 seconds it should be quicker. Based on the fact the white Jeep already being serviced and was almost finished I think it is ridiculous that I was turned away. There were two guys there one under the white Jeep and the other that spoke to me. The man that told me they were closed I know for a fact can change oil because he has changed my oil before. The attendants lack of empathy, passion, desire to work, and quest to get home early are the reasons I will not be returning here ever read more

They are terrible here! I brought my car for an oil change and they recommended the transmission fluid be changed cause it was dirty. After I had it changed, my car was slipping through its gears and stalling. I had to bring it to the dealer! Come to find out after only 1 week after the fluid was changed it was down by 2 quarts! They obviously either didnt run thw fluid through the gears or didnt put enough fluid in. They also charged me more for a transmission fluid change then my dealer charged to fix it. On 4/7/16 Oil Change Service and W/S wiper replacement was done at location 531 880 Tiogue Ave in Coventry RI. The Manager completed the invoice personally and ADDITIONALLY ADDED a Tire Rotation (NOT COMPLETED/NOT REQUESTED. Cost is $24.99..... This was not requested or approved by ME. When the service was complete the manager stated, "youre all set"... No receipt of services provided. This was somewhat suspect to me even though I drive a company car so I decided to let it go and follow-up with Enterprise Lease. it was at that time I determined that the Manager had FRAUDULENTLY added services NOT completed or requested because it could be easily hidden from the lease operator. THE MANAGER ALSO SIGNED THE RECEIPT AS THE AUTHORIZED SIGNATORY!!!!! I called on 4/20/16 to request a copy of the service receipt and asked that it be emailed to me. The Manager stated he would, yet never did. I was forced to drive out of my way from Providence to obtain it in person. Manager was extremely rude and was additionally chastising an employee openly for assisting me with obtaining the receipt. Clear case of an INTEGRITY issue in location #531... I will be following up with Jiffy Lube Corporate as well as the RI Attorney General. GO ANYWHERE BUT here.. SEARS AUTO CENTER accepts Enterprise Lease. I went to Jiffy Lube for the first time in several years to get the oil changed on my car( I usually go to a local auto body shop but they were closed because it was a Sunday) and I was blown away by the exceptional service that I received at Jiffy Lube. The two gentlemen ( I wish I remembered their names) were so kind and greeted me as soon as I arrived. They also walked me to the waiting area rather than just pointing me in the direction. I was also surprised with how accurate the wait time they quoted me was. Several times they apologized for how long it was taking( even though they were going as quickly as possible and I did not wait for long at all). Although I don't know much about cars, they explained everything I needed to have done and why and it was very helpful. I will definitely be returning!!! read more
