    Odometer with the mileage after engine was blown

    Prepare for a long review. I should've posted this a long time ago when it happened (2/14/2022) but I was so angry and frustrated that this occurred. For context, my dad was deployed when this happened and he's the one that helps me with my oil changes and has for the majority of my life since he's a mechanic. That's why there's such a big gap in the oil changes that Mr. Ellis pointed out. Anyways, jiffy lube forgot to put oil in my car and refused to pay for damages. A blown engine all because someone forgot to put oil back in my car. After my car dying on me three miles later, I had it towed back to jiffy lube, they put oil in since there wasn't any(they checked), in hopes that it'd fix the problem. Too late. They tried to make it seem like its my fault in stating there was a rear main seal leak but I had the ford dealership check for that after ruining my car. Surprise surprise, there wasn't one. I took it into the ford dealership where they found no leaks and said the reason the engine wasn't working was because of lack of lubrication aka no oil. Guess who had an oil change with jiffy lube and then 3 miles later my car broke down. I spoke with Adam Ellis, who was the regional manager at the time, not sure if he still is and they had a third party insurance that was hired by their company to look at my car but I wasn't surprised they said jiffy lube wasn't at fault. I'd post a screenshot of the email from the claims department saying the third party insurance deemed jiffy lube not at fault but there's some legal jargon in there about not reproducing the email. In Mr. Ellis emails, he makes it seem like I did something wrong because there was a gap in getting my oil changed at jiffy lube since my dad was changing it at home. Not once did I have a problem or "rear main seal leak" when my dad helped me with my oil changes. My dad was deployed and I didn't want to change my oil in the rain. Figured I could trust jiffy lube to do their job correctly. WRONG. That should just show you my car had no problems UNTIL my car was seen at jiffy lube. The store manager at the time, Arabella and Mr. Ellis both said they had footage of the techs checking the oil level after putting oil back in but conveniently their cameras stopped working for three minutes when "oil was being put in" so they can't confirm or deny if oil was put back in. I've attached a pic of receipt, documents from ford stating my odometer and the damage, notes from the store manager (Arabella).As well as pictures of Adam Ellis' emails and the claim department that said jiffy lube wasn't at fault. Don't go here if you want the job done correctly. If you've made it this far, don't go here. Obviously crossed out my personal info. Zero stars if I could

    Absolutely rude head service technician older guy that sits at the computer in the bays…read more The main issue I had is the dude that works at the customer service desk that guy is extremely rough around the edges he has zero costumer service skills. They just have a very poor attitude in that place the lack of care there is crazy these services member deal with enough to have to come to a place like that. Value is there sure it's affordable compared to other places. This was the second and final time I will go to this place first time was 6 years ago I got a oil change right after I PCSed here I checked the oil before I left the oil wasn't even on the dip stick so I told the guy at the desk they came out with 10-40 oil when my car took 5-20 put QTs of that I told that guy that's not supposed to go in there he said it would be fine I didn't even want to argue with them back then so I took it home did it myself waste of money. I just needed to replace one. I am new to JBLM and wasn't sure where to go. A buddy of mine recommended me to go here. I had never been to a Firestone before. I called them and asked if they sell used tires. One of the employees asked what size I needed and told him the size and said "yeah we have a few options for you. Come on in and we can help." So, I went there and he was asking for a bunch of information from me. Once I gave him my information, he proceeded to go outside and check the rest of my tires and said "oh yeah, I went ahead and applied for a credit card so that way you can pay for the new set of tires. Oh and also, we don't sell used tires." Brother, why didn't you say that in the first place when I called? Now you're waisting both yours and my time. Also, why would he have me apply for a credit card without even asking if I could afford a new set of tires first? Seems like they just want people to have a credit card from them. I should have said something before but I was just very confused. Now I have a Firestone credit card when I didn't need it in the first place. Definitely will NOT be using the card. Should have just been honest with me in the first place. Again, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

    I rarely leave reviews, but the experience I've had here warrants sharing…read more I brought my vehicle in on April 20 at 9:00 AM and was told I would receive an update by mid-week. Prior to that, I had already paid $1,200 at Greg's Japanese Auto for a full diagnostic, which confirmed the issue was a gasket. I shared this information when I dropped off my car. From that point forward, communication was extremely poor. I had to repeatedly call for updates, as promised callbacks were never made. On multiple occasions (April 22-24), I was told someone would follow up by the end of the day, but no one did. When I specifically asked to be contacted directly as the owner, they continued calling my husband instead. Despite already knowing the issue, the shop took over a week just to confirm it again and didn't even order parts until the end of that timeline. Many days--and even entire weeks--went by with zero communication unless I initiated contact. The most concerning issue is the lack of transparency, especially regarding cost. The last quoted price we were given was $6,200, and we were never contacted about any changes to pricing, parts, or services. We have now been told the total is $7,800, which is a significant increase that was never discussed or approved beforehand. At this point, I still have not received my car and am being told it "should" be ready today. I have been without my vehicle for well over a month. This has forced me to cancel plans and rearrange my schedule multiple times, adding unnecessary stress and disruption. Additional concerns include: No proactive updates for long stretches (including May 11-22) Delays in starting work with no clear explanation New issues (such as needing to order a special tool) were never communicated until I followed up Failure to follow direct instructions on who to contact When I spoke to the manager, Matt, I expressed concerns about the lack of communication and was told it would be addressed. Unfortunately, nothing improved. I understand that repairs can take time. What is not acceptable is leaving customers completely in the dark for weeks, requiring them to chase updates, and then presenting a significantly higher bill without prior approval. At minimum, customers should expect: Timely and honest communication Follow-through on promised callbacks Clear authorization for any cost increases Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR ANY REASON!!!
