My Honda died a couple of miles from Bucky's on a late Friday afternoon. The tow company was taking forever, so I called Bucky's to get some information about what kind of services they provide and talk through what the issue with my car might be. I had the pleasure of speaking with Bryce. He was knowledgeable, helpful and kind over the phone and provided me with numerous options. We decided it would be best to tow my car over and have them diagnose it in the morning. The next morning I went in to drop my keys off and within 2 hours I got a call from the lady who worked up front. She provided me with a detailed list of what needed to be done along with the price out the door. Turns out we needed a new radiator, transmission service and a coolant flush. They knocked it all out in 3 hours come Monday when the parts came in. Bryce was working when I picked it up and he gave me a breakdown of what happened which lined up exactly with what the lady said. BUYER BEWARE!! I'm not one to give unwarranted bad reviews. I know businesses are doing their best to provide services to their clients, but what buckys on pacific ave in parkland is just downright dishonest. I am self employed and don't always have time to do things like take my vehicles in for maintenance. I had my wife take my main driver in to them for brake service. Just two years earlier I had EVERYTHING on the brake system replaced, pads, rotors, calipers both front and back. Since I put a lot of miles on the trucks I assumed the grinding I was hearing was indeed the brakes. So she dropped off the truck and a couple hours later I get a call from them that everything that I just mentioned both front and back was shot and needed replacement. I think to myself there is no way that is possible. So I inquire with the "technician " if the rotors are shot and he says yes everything is and it will be about $1300 to fix. He told me there is metal to metal contact on the brakes and and the rotors are too thin to turn on a lathe. He also states that that my calipers are frozen and won't return to the correct position. I couldn't believe what he is telling me so I had to take time off and leave the jobsite I was working to see for myself. Oh, did I mention that I am ASE certified technician? I didn't mention it to them either. They assumed since a woman was dropping off the vehicle that this was an opportunity to make a few extra dishonest bucks. So I get there and very calmly and politely ask to see what he said was shot. Exactly NONE of the parts he talked about were worn out. NONE! I went through it with him and asked at each wheel, " are these pads worn out?" No what about the rotors are they beyond specs? No and the calipers are they stuck? He replied he couldn't move them by hand. And you know what, neither can most people, that is why it is common practice to use a c clamp to push them back into the pucks. So I asked him if he lied to me over the phone. He immediately got very defensive and asked if I was questioning his integrity. Well yes, or his eyesight. I continued around till I got to the drivers side front then low and behold I found the source of the noise I was hearing. The wheel bearings were shot and there were traces of metal in the grease. This so called technician had missed this entirely. I will never go to this place again the guy who was running it is shady and is looking to take advantage of people. There is a reason why they can always get you in same day. A good shop will be booked out for a week or two, just keep that in mind. read more

They get me in usually right away. The guy at the counter is always friendly and professional. It's just good customer service and I appreciate that! It's a good place to come. Great place to get your vehicle worked on. Had some exhaust issues, oil change,tires rotated, transmission service, and rear diff service and only 673 dollars. So I came in because my vehicle had a check engine light I paid the $100 diagnostics And they told me it was 02 sensors causing my problems To replace them Buckys charged me close to $500 So I declined and only paid the $100 for them to find the problem I went home and relaxed the sensors myself in about 2 hours This did not fix the problem Their diagnostics is very inaccurate And the head mechanic has no certifications at all I recall when I was telling him the problems with my car He was actively Typing it into the computer And just looking from solutions off the internet I think he clicked on the first link and went with that I wasted money paying for the diagnostics And I wasted time and money Buying new 02 sensors and replacing them Really disappointed with the service I had already paid for a diagnostics And their diagnostics was incorrect If I want buckys to preform another Half assed diagnostics I was told I will have to pay again This does not make sense And I don't think they care much about customer service .... read more

very disappointed with the quality of work done and the rediculously high cost they tried to charge me the first exhaust system they installed looked like they hired a crack head to install it dual exhaust had 5 pieces of pipe on each side none of them matched nothing was bent just a bunch of pieces of straight pipe welded together at different angles and they used 3 different sizes of pipe it was hitting on rearend housing when you sit in the car and they handed me a bill for 1380.00 dollars knowing i am a classic car restoration shop i cant imagine what garbage they have given regular customers that dont know cars i will never use there business or recommend them to any customers they had to cut it off and redo the exhaust system again but i am still very unhappy with the cost and the way they did me this is the buckeys in parkland wa by the way read more

Guy told me since Buckys is LITERALLY right there they could push my car over there and fix it. Bucky's Review Warning this is a long one as it took place over two months. The bottom line is that I will not go back to Bucky's in Spanaway ever again! I took my car in for a noise in the engine and parking brake issue. It turned out the emergency brake needed to be adjusted (due to warped brake calipers) and also a transmission repair. Brice, the shop manager, was very friendly and good enough to give me the lowest price of five shops in the area but this turned out to be the best part of the whole experience. The two and half week wait for the repairs was terrible especially after I was told that the repair would take five days and that I'd be back on the road in no time. Sadly, this was not to be the case. I dropped my car off on a Thursday afternoon and was told my transmission would be taken to the Transmission shop the next day. On Wednesday of the following week, Bryce called to tell me that the Transmission shop had just started on it and that it wouldn't be ready as originally projected but I should have it back by that Saturday. Thursday I get another call from Brice, the Transmission shop had to order parts and since they didn't work on the weekend it would be in the shop until at least the following Monday. Ok, things happen, no big deal, I was thankful it was getting done. Brice called again to tell me when the Transmission was back on the Monday and said it should be ready by Tuesday. Tuesday Brice calls to tell me that they have the transmission ready to install but are missing a clip for my clutch which has to be ordered and should be here the following day and installed as well. No update so I call on Thursday only to be told that the Dealership ordered the wrong part and that he went to the Dealer, with the diagram that shows the right part and that the part would be overnighted to the shop by Friday. Additionally, Bryce told me that my car would be ready on Friday, possibly Saturday at the latest. I asked Bryce to keep me updated which didn't happen as I received no call or any update on Friday. I went in to the business on Saturday, around noon, only to see my car still on the lift. Although I didn't expect to pick it up without a call, I was in the area so I stopped in. I spoke to someone named Melinda who told me the part was ordered and would be her Monday. When I told her Bryce told me the part was supposed to be their Friday she just shrugged and said it would be in on Monday. She was very not interested in my issue and seemed to want me to just leave. Needless to say, I was angry since my car had been there two weeks for what was supposed to be a five-day job and I left. When I calmed down, I called back to find out when my car would be ready and was told by Melinda that it would Monday for certain. I finally get my car back on the next Tuesday and the noise that I came in for is now louder and there was a significant engine vibration. Bryce mentioned this when I picked my car up. He told me to drive it for 800 miles to break in the new transmission. I drove it for about a week and got concerned as the noise and vibrations were getting worse. I stopped in again, Bryce said they wouldn't touch it until the car had at least 800 miles on it (it was at 600). When I asked if they could look to see if they missed something he said they would do so when I had 800 miles on the car. When I voiced my concern that the car might break down, he told me to just have it towed as it was covered under warranty. I drove my car around until I got the 800 miles and took it back. That afternoon the car was ready and the noise was gone. When I asked what it was it said it was just the break in period or a bearing (not sure of what he said exactly) and I was happy to have my car back. It struck me as funny that the work was fixed in one afternoon compared to the two and a half weeks I had to wait previously. I drove it for two more weeks when suddenly my car wouldn't go into reverse and was shifting hard between 3rd and 4th Gear. I tried to take it back but the shop but it was full and was told I'd have to leave my car outside while it waited to be worked on (this was a Thursday). I parked my car over the weekend and went back in on Monday and was told I would be updated on what was wrong. I heard nothing from Bryce, or anyone in the shop, and when I drove by on Wednesday and I didn't see my car out front or on a lift. When I called, Brice told me it was at the Transmission shop and that I should be done in a couple of day. A week later, still no car, no call, when I did call I was told the transmission shop was just starting on it and I should have it back by Thursday. I finally got my car back on Friday which, due to past history, was a miracle! The prices are great but all of these delays and lack of communication that Happened make me think twice about using this shop in the future. I purchased a Groupon for a maintenance package which was described as including a "premium oil change". So I took my car to redeem the Groupon and they tell me that I have to pay an additional $20 because my car "REQUIRES" full synthetic oil. Now I don't have a luxury car & I've had this car for 5yrs. I've taken this car to big name companies over the past 5yrs and have always gotten a synthetic blend oil change with no problem. Bucky's told me either I pay the additional $20 or they wouldn't change my oil. They are absolutely FRAUDULENT. Needless to say I took my car elsewhere and I will never go back to Bucky's. They also changed my oil indicator to 100% as if they had changed my oil. read more

These guys are absolutely amazing! Super friendly, professional, and incredibly quick! I'm usually in here every few months for an oil change but I came in here today to get my brakes checked out in addition to getting an oil change done. They quickly did an oil change (which they always do very quick) and then they did the brake inspection and had an answer back to me within 20 or so mins. I got my front brakes (new pads, calibers, and rotors) done in less than 60mins and I was given an incredibly fair price (which I can't thank them enough for) and they used quality products with warranties. I was quoted a price to fix my ac. They got me for $427.19 and didn't even check to see if it leaked or not. Needless to say it worked for about 15 minutes until all the Freon leaked out. Then when I went back they wanted to soak me another 8 or 9 hundred. Also they refilled it to find the leak the 2nd time and just left it in there to leak into the atmosphere. The last thing was the slammed my hood and you could hear that for 6 blocks they slammed it so hard. I would not take my car there if I was you unless you have deep pockets because they are nothing but hashers. read more

I originally choose the previous 'dealer' that I used to take my 87 Saab to for work. Sensing I had a major problem, I decided to try the website. I submitted a list of what I required in addition to the major problem. What I received in return was a statement from a salesman wanting to sell me a new Cadillac. My response was WRONG & explained I wanted work done on my originally new when bought of my own. After more silence, I tried the on-line chat with the dealer service. I was informed that I would get a call to establish & confirm an appointment. The call never came, even after a week of waiting! Subsequently, I broke down on the road & had to be towed. Because of her age, the problem that was encountered & ability to get parts, I felt that the old girl was headed to the junk-yard. Was I wrong. In less than 2 days, I had my girl back on the road. I've had my car in there 2 times, for different reasons. Bryce rocks! first time my timing belt on my PT Cruiser (A Pain in the butt to any mechanic).the second time the Motor mount collapsed. Both times Bryce said "We did the best we can with it". but it came out great. when the mount collapsed it damaged the alternator belt. taking it in today to get replaced. Always at a fair price!
