I really don't like jiffy lube I've always heard they have bad service they couldn't do my uber inspection because they said one of my tires couldn't pass inspection when I went to another shop they said it was we passable just change it in the next 1000 miles. They'll damage your vehicle, then refuse to answer your calls. I've been here twice. Once after the owner of the other Escondido Jiffy Lube (Paul/Poya) tried to make the mess caused by his El Norte shop right by sending me here for services and another time when I came for an oil change. When I came for an oil change in late February/early March, before leaving the state, the heavy-set guy with the beard was a jerk. I pulled up to the Bay Area (two were open) and waited to be instructed where to pull up and after seven minutes of him staring at me, he yells, "Get in the line... what the f***." Apparently, I'm a mind reader. Anyway, after that, they changed my oil and DID NOT REPLACE MY SPLASH SHIELD. A $400 mistake. I tried calling them weekly since March... NOTHING. I've been here a couple times and it seems like all the men hate their jobs. Went in a couple weeks ago and they told me I didn't need an oil change for a little bit. So they sent me on my way. The man was unfriendly, I tried to walk inside and he told me no I'll meet you outside. He asked if I wanted an oil change I said yes, he quickly typed something and said " you don't need it for another 1000" miles and I was like oh alright, and he just walked back inside. I don't know much about cars so I just left and called my husband and told him what happened and he was so mad they didn't take me. Super shady set up and staff. Wanted to get my oil changed and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I know what my car needs, but I let them do their thing. They tried to get me on a synthetic blend and a brand new air filter. For an oil change with 6 quarts of oil they wanted to charge $92+! The staff was not helpful and started performing the service before I even signed the paperwork. They reset my oil light and had already taken off my skid plate. Unlike other quick oil change places, they drive your car in for you. This was different than I'm used to, but I got to watch them work. They were quick and efficient. We were in and out in 20 minutes. They didn't try to upsell us a bunch of things, and they made reasonable suggestions. Wow. In a very good way. My 2008 Pilot showed codes that it needed the engine oil and differential fluid change. So I took it here on lunch break. Bit of a wait for the delivery van in front of me to finish, but they used the time to check me in and provide an estimate for both jobs. Once I got over the pit, it was probably 10 minutes to get everything done. While they were working, I heard the downstairs tech say that the differential fluid is bright red, perfect condition, doesn't need to be changed and he's not going to do it. Completely fine by me as I bought this car 2 years ago and the last owner had it changed right before selling it. Very impressive show of integrity, especially because I could hear how hard it was for him to get the access bolt out to check it. I couldn't be happier. Came in for just an oil change and he recommended to change the air filter in my engine (I might be describing that wrong I'm not good with cars) and I was hesitant at first because I don't know all the things that need to be changed with cars but he recommended it so I said yes to change it. Right when he took it out of my car he was so respectful and coming to show me what the old one looks like and what the new one he's putting in looks like. Definitely build trust and made me feel comfortable knowing I'm getting my moneys worth and that he wanted to help me further educate myself and showing me the difference.
