Firestone is often a place that people avoid, but we've had surprisingly good experiences here. If anything has gone wrong, management has addressed the issue appropriately and respectfully. We've only had one issue, and that was when my husband was promissed an hour oil change and it ended up taking 5 hours. Only reason I'm knocking off a star is because we've been told twice that our tires needed replacing, however when we took them to Costco (where we actually buy and replace our tires), they said we had tread left and at least another 5k. So it did make me feel as though they were being dishonest about that. Other than oil changes, they've replaced breaks and also looked at my husbands o2 sensor and determined it was his cat going out instead. They don't replace catyltic converters so I appreciated they were honest with him regarding that. All in all, I'd definitely recommend coming here and specifically talking to the manager, Frank, he is really nice. read more

New year eve couldn't find any open mechanic. Last stop was here before going back to home. 30 minutes oil change and hot coffee station and charge me $90 for full Synthetic oil change and give me good tips for my car. Definitely one of the happiest moment of my year. Great people and great service. Will come back we need this kind of business for Esco community. read more

When customers go outside to look they are met and asked what is the problem so that you don't realize what they are doing They don't honor adds. Well where to start with this unbelievable and bad experience I had today. I made a 1pm appointment for a tire repair or replacement. alignment and brake disc check up. When I arrived just before 1pm the lady appeared efficient, and warned me my car might not be ready until 4pm. I said OK and booked the car in. I wandered around Escondido until approx 3:30 and I my return found my car had not be moved or touched by the same lady's admission and she announced that there was no guarantee it would now be completed by 4pm. She claimed they had only 2 mechanic's to attend to their workload. I said that's not my problem, then why did you confirm my 1pm scheduled appointment and send me off thinking the car would be ready by 4pm. At this point I articulated my dissatisfaction with the service and information given and said I would be reporting this to Firestone. At which point she asked me if I was threatening her. I said no, I was announcing I would be reporting the poor service to Firestone. At this point she said she could refuse me service and return my keys. I said fine return my keys, which she did and I walked out of the reception without uttering another word. If this is the way Firestone and their dealership's treat customers I want no part of it and neither should anyone else. Very disappointing! The location is 1805 S Center City Parkway. My Work Order was 035609 and I believe the location number or employee number was 793846. Totally misdiagnosed and ignored problems. When I asked if the noise had gone away they told me it just had to "break in". Nope. Never went away. Had to get the work redone somewhere else a month later in addition to the problem they ignored. Told me I'd be getting a full refund in February, ignored that and I've had to call each week and deal with corporate. Somehow a full refund was turned into half a refund that I have yet to receive and it is nearly May. Ridiculous. I had used Firestone 3 times previously in the past year (different locations). First off, this is not my normal tire shop. But I stopped by because my rear tire was low. With a big smile on his face, Arnold kindly offered to top off all 4 tires. Within 2 blocks my rear tire went low again. Went back for a leak repair to only find out both of my rear tires were shredded on the inside. So dangerous. Of course I have high end tires not stocked at this store. Arnold expeditiously had his team go and get tires that would work so I could get on my way. I interacted with 4 team members at this store. They were all kind, courteous and a pleasure to speak with. What a treat to have such amazing customer service. Two years ago, I stopped by on Christmas Eve and a very nice young man also helped me with a huge smile on his face!!! I told him their online website/location says they have them in stock.. he just told me I was wrong and offered me a different more expensive brand. I declined and told him I'd be there to pick up my car. When I arrived to pick up my car not even an apology or any acknowledgment. I had a flat tire. I needed to do a flat repair on a trip to the mountains and didn't have a lot of time. I drove my truck to the Firestone store here in Escondido by major market. I was greeted very courteous, very professional nice people. The gentleman at the counter looked at the job and said he could fix it himself to save me time and he responded right away to the truck to help me out. His name is Zack and he is a great guy with a great attitude. I told him I wanted to write this review because this is a Saturday and there was a two hour wait at two other tire shops. I went to, and nobody wanted to do this job as quickly as he did. I'll be dealing with Zack for all of my repair needs from now that don't go to the dealership. Wouldn't go back. Had such a great experience at the Oceanside location but was disappointed with the service I got from here. I paid for a full inspection and they told me I needed new tires and they'll call me if I needed an alignment and check if I wanted to get both. Called me for pickup and told me they did the alignment without asking for permission from me to do so. I would've gotten it anyway but didn't appreciate not checking with me first before adding on more charges. Also they didn't even notice a headlight was out, the windshield wiper fluid nozzle was clogged, and left the maintenance light on. Left a flat tire from my son's car to be repaired on Tuesday just before close. Told it would be ready Wednesday by 11am. Drove there to find the tire repaired and ready. Jeremy helped me at the sales counter. Asked Jeremy if there was any chance they could install it if I went and returned with my son's car as I am 74 and disabled. He said absolutely. Returned 15 minutes later with the car and he immediately changed the tire and put the donut spare and Jack completely away in the trunk. WOW!!! Jeremy is a manager in training and will make an outstanding Manager for a Firestone location!!! I would hire him in a flash for sure! YOU ARE AWESOME JEREMY!!! read more

Back in May, I got an alignment here. The service writer, Kat, took good care of me. She offered the lifetime alignment deal, which I declined. She nodded and said no more about it. She was busy training folks but took the time to have a good conversation with me. It was an enjoyable experience. So I thought I'd go back this December for new tires and an alignment. I booked online: 4 run flat tires and an alignment. The work order was emailed to me indicating: (1) the lifetime alignment - not what I wanted (2) road hazard protection at $44 extra per tire. For run flat tires??? Called the store. Spoke with Chris. He was friendly. I asked for Kat. Was told she is no longer working there. Disappointing. I asked for the two changes above be made to the work order. He did agree to remove the road hazard protection. But I got push back for not wanting the lifetime alignment. He started in with the sales talk: "so how long do you plan to own your car?" At this, I cut him off and asked for the changes to be made to the work order. Then he agreed to email the updated work order to me. Even checked that he had the correct email address. He did. He then told me that, when I arrived for my appointment, he would talk with me some more about the lifetime alignment. Aww c'mon, don't patronize me! Not all lifetime service agreements are good for all consumers. I read the fine print on this one and didn't like the terms. I'm happy to pay for each alignment as my car needs it. Well, the updated work order never showed up (yes, I checked my spam folder- not there). Figured this, plus not taking me at my request regarding the wheel alignment, meant I needed to go elsewhere. I don't like to leave bad reviews and prefer to work out issues with a business, but I am shocked by the dysfunction of the Firestone Complete Auto Care store at 1805 S. Centre City Pkwy, Escondido, CA 92025 and I can no longer trust them. I brought my truck in with a flat tire on May 12, 2024. The tire couldn't be repaired and I agreed to replacing all 4 tires (because my truck is AWD.) Ernesto the manager pointed to a set of tires in the bay, told me they were mine, said the work would be complete in 1.5 to 2 hours and it would cost $1,179.53. I left to arrange for a ride from the store. When I returned shortly after to drop off my truck, Ernesto was gone and I talked with Angel. Angel told me only one tire needed to be replaced and they were open until 6 pm. Then Ernesto showed up and told me that 4 tires did need to be replaced and that Angel was wrong, that Angel only had 3 months of experience and that they were open until 5 pm. I told Ernesto I'd be back no later than 4:45 pm to get my truck. No one called me and I returned at about 4:40 pm. I saw that my truck was on the lift with the spare wheel/tire still on the truck. No tires had been replaced. No one was at the counter, so I went back out and waved at Angel. He pointed to the counter so I went back inside. Then Angel kept me waiting about 10 minutes while he chatted and laughed on the phone inside the bay. When he finally came to the counter he told me that Ernesto had left at 3 pm and that he had told Ernesto that my tires probably wouldn't show up that day. Angel then gave me Ernesto's phone number. When I called Ernesto he blamed Angel for my truck not being ready. I then told Angel to get my truck off the lift so I could leave. Instead of doing that, Angel decided to work on someone's tire. I told him again that I wanted my truck off the lift and he got it down. Angel then told me that Ernesto was recently back to work after being suspended and encouraged me to leave a bad review on Yelp. He also texted later to say he didn't want to call me on a recorded line and that I could contact Firestone human resources in order to file a complaint. The number he gave me didn't work. I sent Ernesto a text telling him the situation was unacceptable, that he flat out lied to me when he pointed to a set of tires and said they were for my truck. I told him that for 3.5 hours no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the tires wouldn't be there in time to get them on my truck today and that he wasn't even there to explain because he left work early. Ernesto responded via text about an hour later, saying he was sorry, he was celebrating Mother's Day (as was I) and his mom's birthday, that he shouldn't have left early, that he had left clear instructions and didn't know what happened (blaming it on Angel.) He again told me the tires were in stock at the store, contradicting Angel who said they were at another location (I think he said an Autozone in another town, but I'm not 100% certain.) The next morning Ernesto called me at 7 am, waking me up. I returned his call several hours later after I got home from dropping off my truck at a Discount Tire shop, where they gave me money for my 3 good tires (with less than 1000 miles on them), gave me a military discount and charged me $930.07 for a better set of 4 tires. I then returned Ernesto's call and couldn't get a straight answer about why my tires weren't replaced. Ernesto did confirm that he had been suspended. At this point it's impossible to know who to believe. This Firestone shop has a manager who either lied to me or who left work 2 hours early and didn't see the job through. If Ernesto didn't lie, then Angel lied. Both undermined and trash talked each other to me and seem to want to get each other fired. I wouldn't hire either one. read more

I went for an Uber eats 19 point inspection, I needed tires and had an appt elsewhere to get tires put on in a couple of days. My car is 3 years old in great condition and passed everything except the tires. The gentleman helping me said not to worry.. bring all the paperwork back after the tires get put on and I will not have to pay again. I got the tires today, took in all my paperwork.. and the store manager was there and said that I needed to do a completely new inspection. I'm delivering FOOD not people. The store did not honor their word. I understand now that that is Ubers policy, he let me know several times that HE was the manager. What a waste of time and money.. and he wanted another hour of my time and more money. For a 19 point inspection.. geez I will not be going back or recommend this place as they are not true to their word. read more

Went early .. 9:53a .. Some other guy says SORRY this will take 90 mins we're busy, and a worker may not show up "you know kids today" (kids today ..really?) COME BACK then .. What about my appt.? (crickets) p.s. - Yesterday while talking to Chris at 4:10 a phone call became more important than the customer standing in front of him. Nah ... that won't work. Customer service and appointments mean NOTHING at this location, but phone calls are everything .. Maybe they can fix your tires on the phone? At $7/ gallon Firestone Escondido is now NOTHING to me. We had our car towed in to have the air filter box replaced after having it diagnosed by two different mobile mechanics who both said it was the box. Firestone claimed it's the fuel pump, which I'm not disputing, but when they quoted my wife over the phone nearly $800 I over heard and lost my cool and ranted in the background about capitalism and greed. Not on the phone mind you, just in my own room in my own house where this guy overheard me. Wife told guy on phone we can't afford it hung up. Wife's uncle offered to help pay the cost so she called back to tell them to go ahead and do the work and she was told they "didn't feel comfortable" working with us because I was yelling. I even called and apologized, and tried to explain I have emotional problems and promised that they wouldn't be dealing with me at all and rather than being professional about it they simply refused us service. I had to find a garage open on a Sunday to get my car moved to and the new shop quoted me the same repair at nearly $300 cheaper then Firestone. Greedy and petty. read more

Poor attitude and lack of integrity from Firestone manager which is unusual as I've received good service elsewhere at Firestone. Staff had warned my wife manager was in "bad mood". When tech returned our tire he looked bewildered as to why tire wasn't fixed, but he didn't say anything. Will not return to this store.. read more

I want to shout out the team at Firestone Escondido (S Centre City Parkway) for superb & exceptional customer service!!! I was greeted with warmth and caring by their new Service manager, Michael Clark. He actively listened to what I needed, what was happening and immediately took a look at my car. My dashboard light for my taillights had gone on and Michael was concerned that if I drove with the taillight out I could be pulled over by the police. He was able to fit me in quickly and within 30 minutes I had a new bulb. I have to admit if Michael had not been so proactive in telling me it would not take long, I probably would have risked it and come back. I have been a customer of this Firestone for several years. I am very pleased also with the new Store manager Chris Rhome who made me feel welcome. I always look to the Store manager to set the tone as to what is possible and how his crew will implement customer service. The presence of Michael alone would have been fantastic however when coupled with Chris's leadership its an absolute winning combination for dynamic and exceptional customer service. The staff does their best to accommodate people - when I was here they had a number of walk-ins, and the team was able to help everyone out in a timely manner. From what I can tell, the auto store gets mostly walk-ins, and getting everyone in and out can be tough when they have a limited number of bays. I walked in around 4:30PM for a slow leak on a tire that I purchased from them earlier this year, and they were able to find the problem and fix it and have me out by 5:45PM. Very good, considering they just had 6 people come in before me with flat tires. As I was waiting, I even saw the front desk worker (his name is Abtin) call another firestone down the road and get another customer a tire that same night because she needed to get to Orange County later that evening. My wife hit a curb close to this Firestone location. Hitting the curb popped the front left tire. She was able to pull the car into the parking lot across to Firestone. I met up with her and walked across the parking lot to Firestone. The current tires on the car were at about 70% of life. I asked the Firestone rep about a new set. He gave me 2 options. A high and low options. No pressure sales, no adding on items to drive the price. I chose one option. He was able to find 4 tires locally. Told me he would have them by noon the next day...Sunday. He also said he would check the alignment. He also offered to keep the car inside Firestone overnight. How can it get much better than this?!?! Option B, for me, would have been to have it towed to another tire shop, wait till Monday for them to replace the tires or even just to fix the 1 bad tire. At this point in time, it was a no brainer.....Firestone all the way. Clearly, he saved the day. Turning an unfortunate event into a breeze. They called me Sunday afternoon and said they were done with the tires and the car needed an alignment. Again, he offered 2 choices...no high pressure. I chose an alignment option. He said the car will be ready between 2-3. At 3:00, I showed up. The car was ready. Handed me the keys, I paid. All without any issues or trying to squeeze more work or money from me. This experience is a classic example of outstanding customer service. It is a reference for how all auto repair shops should conduct business. I took my car in for a flat repair. They told me they had ordered my tire and it would be in tomorrow. It did not come in and no one reached out to me to let me know. I requested that when they get the tire to put it on the rear and not the front. When I went to pick up the car they had not done this. I would not use them to buy or fix tires. read more

This is a little hard to find but it's right off Centre City Parkway & Felicita across from Burger King. I have used Firestone for years, but this location blew me away on a brake inspection and I'm here to sing their praises!! It's my wife's van and she had her brakes fail and we took it to another Firestone and they replaced the master cylinder and I wasn't happy with the pedal action so this shop did a free inspection and ended up bleeding the brakes and adding fluid AT NO CHARGE! Well, my road test was fantastic and it's back to barely tapping the pedal to get a smooth response and I'll definitely be back again since they called out a few other mechanical issues that I wasn't aware of but their excellent techs made some recommendations. If you're looking for a repair shop, I highly recommend giving them a try! read more

Zero Stars! Dropped off my truck in early morning and they did not give me a quote until 3:00. The quote was inflated by about 65% of what it should have cost. I tried to negotiate since we already had it there. They came down like $50. So I declined. They loosened up my steering column, they slashed my tire, they rounded out my lug nuts and cross threaded them. I have everything documented. I believe in karma big time so we'll see what happens to the service manager and mechanic. Mechanical service manager has The gift of gab and bs to be your friend. Beware! read more

DON'T GO HERE! I used to come here years ago and recently went back for an oil change. When they called me to tell me the oil change was done they told me my alignment was off and wanted to fix it for me. I declined as my car was driving perfectly. I left for a road trip the next day and my car's alignment was clearly tampered with, causing damage to my tire. Now I have to go somewhere else and pay to get my alignment fixed after they tampered with it along with a replacement tire. I will NEVER return to a Firestone. read more
