I purchased a Groupon oil change for a synthetic blend and went by myself to get my car serviced. When I got there, I was told it was not possible to fill my car unless it was fully synthetic oil and they tried to up sell me and have me pay full price. I don't know if they just assume most women don't know about cars or whatever their deal was that day but I went to the other jiffy lube on el Norte and was serviced right away without delay. They told me my car is *recommended* to receive the fully synthetic, but i already knew that and needed a second opinion. The guys at this location made me feel like I had no options and were clearly trying to take advantage of the situation to try and get more money. I presented my groupon which I paid $29 for an oil change, but was told I needed to pay an additional $54. He said he didn't even have my oil 0W30, which is a common for mini vans. My husband has been there before and it was no where near this price. I won't be back. read more

I called to see if I could set up a thorough break inspection. The employee on the phone told me that it only takes 5 minutes to check whether I need new brakes and/or rotors. So, I decided to pull up and first thing that I noticed is that one of the employees wasn't wearing a mask. So much for the safety of the customers and his coworkers. Second, I found it very troubling that all the inspection consisted of was flashing a light on to the brakes without taking any parts apart. The reason I was shook was because I've had thorough break inspections before where not only do they take the pads off, but also do a safety driving test. On the phone they said that the inspection was free so that was what got me interested to get serviced in the first place. But, when I pulled up, there were absolutely no cars being worked on. I found that odd. Besides that, when the employee saw my reaction to how expensive they ran their service they suggested I priced checked around somewhere else if I couldn't afford it. What, isn't a business supposed to reach a common ground on the affordability of their services. Instead they encouraged I take my business elsewhere. At the end of it, I didn't feel comfortable and safe getting work done by this establishment especially when it comes to the overall safety of others and myself. I also didn't want to spend my hard earned money at a place where they don't take the customer's needs into consideration. I ended up searching and found that Brake Stop on Broadway & Washington delivered the service every car owner should receive. It is a bit pricier but they truly accommodate the customer. I took my car in and about two days later I was in San Diego with no oil and had to have another shop replace my oil filter because jiffy lube didn't replace it correctly and all my oil leaked out. they gave my a refund for the mechanical bill but not the oil i had to buy to get the the mechanic. A few months and oil changes later I figured I would give them another try...... well they change my oil and I deive home (5mins) and I get a call thirty mins later saying my oil is leaking and im having and They have to send a person to fix it.. I'm now sitting in my driveway with it still fucked up and they are saying they do not have any oil filters left so take it from me and just save your time and energy and go somehow else! read more

Not impressed, purchased an all inclusive Groupon for these guys and it turned out you get charged for additional services (labor, oil,etc). It's a bait and switch operation with surprises. Save your money and frustration by going elsewhere as by the time you leave they charge dealer pricing anyway, but with a bad attitude and pushback when you call them out. read more

I went to this location at 10:30 on a Tuesday morning when there was only one other customer. There were four employees 'working.' The only other customer complete his transaction and departed prior to me paying for services. While I was paying, my invoice appeared on the computer screen showing that floor vacuuming and exterior window washing were both declined. I informed the technician ringing me up that I had not declined either service. He told me it was too late to vacuum my car or wash the windows because 'declined' was already entered in the computer! This occurred with me still being the only customer with a total of 4 technicians standing around talking and playing on their phones!! I was given a $15 discount bringing my total to $49 for regular/non-synthetic oil. I confirmed with the technician that my tires were checked and filled to 35 psi per my receipt. He stated that my tires were checked/filled despite me not seeing a technician do so. I got into my car and started driving away. I checked my tire pressure on my car display and the pressures were all below 35 psi and were exactly as they were when I entered the shop. I drove back to the shop and asked for the franchise owner's contact information. I was told 'I can't give that out.' Now I know why business is slow at this location. Lazy, lying technicians who don't give a **** about customers or the business. This Jiffy Lube should be crazy busy given it's close proximity to a major freeway interchange (15 & 78). Needless to say, I will not be returning here for service. read more

I just got an oil change, tire rotation, and brake inspection. I downloaded a coupon online and didn't have any trouble using it. My car has been shaking a bit so I thought I would get my pads inspected. He was very honest. Told me I had a little more time and don't try to sell me on them right now. Came in to get my oil changed and tires rotated. Everything was fine until I looked at the receipt they gave me. Looking at the services performed on my vehicle appears to be ok then at the bottom it says I declined having my floors and exterior windows cleaned. That is a lie! Went to this place to give it a try... To be honest I did not get it done. as I got there no one greeted me. I waited about 7 minutes and nothing. So I got off of my car and went into the office hoping I can get some help.. As soon as I walk in I see a boy and girl making out like its there own home. I only got to see some of the girls name tag witch it look like it said Lauren but I could be wrong. Unfortunately I just walked out.. I figured there was no one there that could help since they didn't even budge once I walked in. I only pulled in to this location because my Engine Oil light had come on (second time it's happened lately). The tattooed man who helped me (I forgot his name) was honest, and very helpful. He explained to me why I may just need to add a quart of oil now and then, just as I had heard before, even though it is a newer car. I felt relieved that I wasn't coerced into paying for a service I didn't want or need, and very appreciative of the kindness shown me. Even though I am not from the area, if I find myself in need of a quick service, I would definitely seek them out. i came in for oil change Saturday. i got in right away. They were done in 10 min. Checked everything. Accepted my online coupon from their site. straight forward. no issues, no problems. washed my front and rear windows, and i was out the door. just the way i like it. no messing around. no questionable customer svc. How often do I rate on Yelp. NEVER. Why am I rating this Jiffy Lube well lets start with this. I do NOT like to be lied to. So when I first arrive I was greeted and then attended to. Great! After being quoted for an oil change, front/ rear differential fluid changes, and tire rotation my truck was brought in the bay to start work. Oil change was first I was not watching so hopefully it was performed correctly. Next up the front diff. I notice they are having some problems, I walk up and then I am told that the drain bolt was striped.. (I have had this truck from day one I know for a fact the drain bolt was never touched) and after looking at the bolt it is very clear that the drive was not incerted fully and this is why it striped. After the technicians acknowledging that the bolt/plug was just striped then it was decided that it was possible to remove it and a new would be put in. (Free of charge) Once removed the store did not have the correct plug on hand. So It had to be delivered by Toyota of Escondido. The front skid plate was not reinstalled by starting the bolts by hand to prevent cross threading just used a drill to shoot the bolts in. Once seeing this I decided not to have my tires rotated because I do not want cross threaded lug nuts. After the front is completed the rear is then done. After leaving I decided to look under the truck to make sure everything looked correct... well guess what the skid plate that was removed is now magically missing a bolt. HUH strange I think not. I believe Jiffy lube needs to look into training as I do not blame the two technicians working on the vehicle but the processes Jiffy Lube has set. I was at the store for over 3.5 hrs.... I have gone to the Toyota dealer for many years without any problems, my second time at jiffy lube will be my last. read more

I had my brake pads replaced in July last year, have had oils changes, and my front rotors replaced two days ago by Jiffy, Escondido. This morning my car started making a terrible screeching noise on my way to my son's practice. I called Jiffy and said I was scared to drive it back to them. A technician came to me, drove around in my car for a few minutes, and assured me I could drive back to the shop after practice. I went back and they fixed the back plate in a matter of minutes. I pulled up thinking this was still.a meineke. I was told it's now a jiffy lube, and they have new owners. I decided to stay and try the place. I am glad I did. I got the full synthetic oil, and my tires rotated. Even thought the special is only for regular oil, the manager still gave me a discount. Overall, the employees were polite and kind. They recommended my air filter, but weren't pushy and rude when I declined to replace it. I will definitely come back. read more
