Everyone who reads my reviews knows I'm pretty honest and fair. This place is a joke, find an alternative. I gave them another chance and they fucked me over for the 2nd time. The Technicians seem very unconcerned when you ask a question and are VERY sloppy with their work. Went in for a random oil change and the first thing they want to do is up-sell you on all kinds of shit like filters, motor flushes, gearbox fluid, brake lights and everything else imaginable, yes, the proverbial guilt trip attempt. Well, I'm not the one. Change my fucking oil for $40 buck and also, here's an $8.00 coupon. Yes, that's right, you're only making $32.00 bucks off me. My service also included a vacuum of the floor, but look at this picture I'm posting, does that look like it was vacuumed? I literally sat there and WITNESSED the guy slap air in my tires quickly, not even checking how much air had been placed in, he was like squirt squirt squirt, I'm done! The manager Bryan is an interesting guy, somewhat rude and not very engaging at all, I'll leave it at that. They are just sloppy and unprofessional here, I don't like them and I will now just print out my Firestone copying and go there. My hoods latch was broken I noticed and that was the capper for me. Well, what can I say: it's an oil change. I just stopped in and they 1) were very friendly and 2) didn't pressure me too hard into buying something that I didn't need/want. The waiting room is a bit spartan, but this isn't a 5* restaurant so it was more than adequate. Oil/fluids were changed without issue, and they got my tire pressure right (which was good, I was low in one tire). My car was filthy thanks to the last snow, and I was surprised how much effort they put into making all of my windows shine. I got in and it felt like a new car. Good work. read more

Avoid them 1. If you use them, check your oil level at home after you've parked your car for about 10 minutes to let the oil settle in the pan. They have overfilled my oil--by a lot--after two oil changes. This can do serious damage to your engine. On another visit to Jiffy Lube, I discovered that I was a quart low after a change. My oil doesn't leak and my car doesn't burn oil, so they didn't fill me to capacity that time. They are an oil change shop. If they can't change oil and refill to the correct level, they should not be in the business. There is no excuse for this carelessness. No customer should leave their shop underfilled or overfilled. 3. On one visit, the manager told me I was due for a fuel filter change, which is quite pricey because you have to remove the rear seat and the fuel pump to change the filter. He didn't say that, but I know it. I asked him how he knew I was due for a fuel filter change since he doesn't know my maintenance history. He sputtered a little and said it was because of my exhaust. My exhaust is clean and clear. I took a pass and double-checked the maintenance schedule. The fuel filter and pump assembly is supposed to be inspected periodically (Jiffy didn't do that), but there is no required change interval. My car is running great, no symptoms of fuel filter problems, so I'm calling BS upsell on his diagnosis. Upshot: If you like to take good care of your car, stay away from this Jiffy Lube shop. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. I took my 4runner here to get an inspection and routine oil change before I was supposed to drive to Atlanta. I hadn't left the city of Chicago yet when my engine gave out on me. Fortunately I was able to safely exit the highway and get a tow to a Toyota dealership where they immediately identified the problem. Jiffy Lube had failed to properly secure the oil pan (strikingly similar to the event described in these reviews by Kathryn R. from 1/3/2018, so this is not a one-time occurrence). The oil leak caused my engine to be irreparably damaged - I have to completely replace the engine for a vehicle with only 55k miles on it... In addition, their insurance company is fighting with me to even cover the cost of the engine replacement. In short, do not take your vehicle here if you want to avoid significant potential bodily (thank god I was able to exit the highway safely) or financial harm. read more

I brought the car in for an oil change and the next day, oil was leaking. I brought the car back, they put in a new seal and said sometimes the guys don't use the right torque when tightening. Less leaking oil afterward, but still a leak. I took it to another repair shop, they said the oil pan was stripped out. I had to replace it. read more

Update: 8/20/2019. With sadness I've had to lower my review of this place which I rarely do. The last few times I've brought my car here, things seemed less efficient. Then I had a headlight go out and it seemed as if I had just replaced it, so I brought it back. They checked and I had it done within the past 6 months. The manager (a new manager)then said that he couldn't get the light out....then said it was the socket that kept frying the bulbs. To his credit he showed me the problem and told me if I got the part, they could change it out for me. He changed the bulb, charged me $30 and it went out again in two days. I did find the part and brought it in. Left the car to walk to the grocery, came back and I was told that I had the wrong part. So, I took it to mechanic and it was the right part. It was more expensive taking it to smaller mechanic. I used to take my car to this location for smaller issues on the car in addition to oil changes and brakes. I'm not sure I'll be bringing it back here. I think manager is new (I believe he was one of guys that worked here under old manager). He's friendly but I feel like things are just not run as well anymore. I might give it a little while for them to work the kinks out but if they don't- I probably will have to find someplace new. read more

I love this Jiffy Lube! Everyone- especially Bryan and Luis are extremely personable and HONEST! I have never left there feeling or thinking that I was "ripped off". They take care of you and explain everything very clearly. Most car places- dealerships/ mechanics I always feel worse leaving than I did coming in! But not here! I had spent hundreds and hundreds of $ at different mechanics trying to figure out why my car was flooding and water was coming in- no one was able to figure it out. I simply asked Luis one day and he fixed it and knew exactly what it was. Took him 5 minutes! I love this place. I took my car into Jiffy Lube last week to get my fluids checked until it was time for an oil change. Bryan tells me that I am at 7000 miles since my last oil change. I told him no I am not and to check the sticker on the inside of my vehicle. They go on to tell me that another Jiffy Lube did not put my oil change in the computer...cool, no problem. I come back this past Saturday to get an oil change as I told them a few days prior. I noticed there was a girl asking one of the technicians to speak to her dad on the phone because they were trying to get over on her. I approach the counter with my coupon. Bryan sucks his teeth and says "We don't take that coupon here. The most we can do is 8 bucks off" Okay, once again....fine. When he came back I asked why they didn't take the coupon and he said they are not accepted everywhere. The person who was doing my oil change tells me that I have a big oil leak. I ask Bryan "How do I get that situation fixed?" He damn near rolls his eyes and throws his hands up and says "Well, I don't know, we can put a pan up to it to catch the oil and that will be about $100.00" Bryan is an ass and he truly doesn't need to be working with customers. Truth be told, Jiffy Lube is never a place I would get a car repair done at anyway! I will never return! P.S. Uber drivers trying to go to this location....DON'T GO. Did not screw in the oil cap properly, oil spilled all over the road later on, had to pay for towing. :( Went to my old mechanic who mentioned this Jiffy Lube put in the air filter incorrectly as well, plus some other problems I didn't fully understand. I brought in a coupon when I first went to get my oil changed and not only did he pull up a better coupon for me but he also didn't push the other oils on me and used the one I had bought instead. The only reason I'm not giving one star is that they were prompt and polite. HOWEVER, on 10/11/19 when my oil change was through first I was shown my two filters and told both should be replaced. I declined because my car only had 11000 miles on it. Then I was told my rear passenger tire had a nail in it and I would need a new tire. They gave me a written estimate for $187.42 and said the could do it while I wait. I told them I didn't have time but would probably come back soon. A few weeks later I took my car to a service station by my home to have the tire checked. They said yes I had a nail in it but they could (and did) repair it for $25. I don't appreciate being taken advantage of (probably because I'm female) and will take my business elsewhere for future oil changes. read more

Have gone here twice, both times I was in and out within 15 minutes. The technicians were very nice, didn't try to oversell me at all, simply pointed out the options for work that could be done if I wanted, and sent me on my way. Very friendly, very professional. Did all the extra work of vacuuming as well as filling up window washer fluid and checking tire pressure without being asked. Two weeks before taking my car here, I took my car to the Honda dealership in the suburbs where I bought it to get my windshield replaced. There was a big storm a couple weeks before and I needed to get my windshield replaced. The Honda dealer ended up replacing my brake pads, changed my oil, replaced my windshield and changed my front and rear wipers. THEN, I take my car to get an Uber inspection to this Jiffy Lube. (Uber requires you to get the inspection from their list of "approved" mechanic shops). They tell me that I need new brake pads and new wipers and said I failed the inspection EVEN THOUGH I JUST HAD BOTH OF THOSE REPLACED. They are liars and just want to charge people to make money. I took my car to a Firestone in the city and they said there was nothing wrong with my car and passed it for the inspection. read more

They had a sign for $10 off before 10:00 a.m. I was there well before 10:00 a.m. Their price board listed a standard oil change for $37.95. When the oil change was done, the manager presented me with a bill for $37.95. I asked about the $10 off. He said he had taken off the $10. I looked at the computer print out and he had listed the price as $47.95 instead of $37.95. They had also been very pushy about trying me to buy services or replacements I didn't. need. Piss poor manager. Showed up a year ago with a coupon for a $10 coupon, said they'd honor it and then once they started the work they said they would only do $10 OFF not for $10. They didn't believe the coupon, and when the called the coupon issuer (a competitor) and found it was legitimate, he refused to honor it and demanded I pay the $25. I refused and said I'd be happy to pay up to $15, but they refused to honor it. After a few minutes of arguing, he just told his team to just let me go and that he didn't want my business. Great place for a quick oil change. They offer you water and coffee. The staff is friendly. I love that's it's 3 min away so I like the fact that I am supporting a local place. Only one word comes to mind when thinking about this place, HORRIBLE! I recently brought my car in for what I thought was going to be an easy going oil change, but boy was I wrong. The first thing I tell the guys working on my car is please do not replace my air filter, this is a repair I do myself at home, they tell me no problem so i go to sit in the waiting room and all is well. A little while later a man comes in with the air filter and shows me that it is dirty, I tell him again that this is a task I do myself at home and that all I need is an oil change. He leaves and comes back again this time to tell me that my serpentine belt needs to be replaced, it would cost 70.00 and that if this was his car he would park it and not use it. I tell him thanks for the heads up and that I would have the mechanic who I have used for years have a look at it. I could tell he did not like this by the disgusted look on his face and by the way he slammed the door and shouted very loudly into the garage "Guess he has a mechanic for that guys!". He comes back in again and this time is more sarcastic than ever. He tells me my coolant is a little low and says "but that must be something you do yourself or have your mechanic do right?" at this point I am a little upset and not feeling too confrontational and just say "yeah". This guy walks back into the garage area and starts busting out laughing and shouting "hes got a mechanic for that too". It just seems to me he was so upset that I did not need anything but oil. So I quietly pay my bill and leave with the serpentine belt still on my mind. I pulled into the parking lot across the street and popped my hood to have a look at it. Not a single crack, not a single fray and was not even one bit loose, also I have never heard any type of noise from this car that may indicate a bad belt. Just to be sure though I drove over to my mechanic and told him what happened and asked him to take a look at the belt for me. Mechanic confirmed there was absolutely nothing wrong with this belt. Jiffy Lube, there is something wrong with this location and someone needs to really take a look into what is going on here. I will never use Jiffy Lube again nor would I recommend this business to anyone I know. read more
